Ok serious post. How do I outwit the AO3 curse? Because my desire to write is being suppressed by my inability to handle another fucking curve ball from life and I’m too scared to even look at my fix without fearing yet another disaster. Genuinely how do you write without being shot 57 times? Like do I have to make a sacrifice? Is there a special prayer? I’ll do anything at this point.

It's so strange and funny how the ao3 curse has affected my thought process. I was sitting here genuinely panicking because an ao3 author I've been reading from stopped posting three days ago and they're a daily poster. So my brain immediately jumped to "Oh gods I hope wherever hit them isn't too terrible! I hope it's just a cold and not a burned down house or dead relative!" Gods only on AO3 would you assume the worst immediately because someone missed their weeklies/dailies.

The ao3 curse is not real. It can't hurt me. It's just probability. It's just coincidence. It's just correlation.

ao3 authors curse almost hit me twice td let me tell yall.. first i was driving MIND U GOING THE SPEED LIMIT and some hoe who i guess had places to be based on the way they were on my tail, they cut me off and flipped me the bird?? i didnt even do anything i was literally being a law abiding citizen.. this next one was my fault LMAO i was tryna go to a different lane and i wasnt paying attention so i didnt see that a truck was like right behind me until they honked and thank god they honked omg i felt so bad 💔

Why didn’t anybody warn me about the ao3 author curse?
I posted a fic some days ago and right after that I accidentally cut my hand. Then, I finished writing another fic and I almost glued my hands together while trying to make some things with epoxy resin. Today I wanted to post a fic and the ao3 site literally wouldn’t open😭
I’ve started baking recently and I’m scared that the next time I post a fic I will burn down my whole kitchen
I’ve been writing my first fanfic and I’ve already fallen to the ao3 curse. Mf I haven’t even posted it yet 😭😭😭
