ROMANCE OPTIONS
RO Visuals (Picrew)
Alfie Redding [ 16 — M — Bisexual ] — as a bookworm with a kind smile and a terrifying glare, Alfie is the only person you 'know' before attending Green Valley, having been in the same secondary school. Not that the two of you were particularly close but perhaps his bright mind and striking wit is just what you need to solve this mystery.
[ English ] tall and willowy, extremely pale skin that burns easily, short bright ginger hair (2b) in a perpetual state of bed-head, olive green round eyes, aquiline nose with a high nose bridge and a straight base, lots of freckles, freckles everywhere in varying shapes and tones — they tend to come out more after he's been in the sun... as long as he's not burnt a bright red, thin lips but a wide mouth — a small pink scar on the left side of his top lip, deep dimples when he uses his mouth to form expressions. [ 6'0" ]
JJ Pendleton [ 17 — M — Pansexual ] — JJ is the one most people see either running away from a crime prank scene or the one sat outside the headmaster's office with a grin the size of England. He's funny, intriguing and easy to befriend however, he's hard to stick with, and often leads to trouble. Maybe that's why he's the one who most people are betting their money on, whether it's to disappear or prevail though, who knows?
[ Irish ] tall, athletic build, rosy warm tanned skin tone, bubblegum pink dyed hair (1c) — naturally dark brown — that's longer on top than on the sides and is usually styled up and out of his face, cat-like cornflower blue almond shaped eyes covered with large round glasses — currently sporting a pair of silver frames, a light smattering of freckles over the bridge of his romanesque nose with a bump on the bridge — it helps keep his glasses on his face, bow-shaped lips with a thinner upper lip — if you look closely there is a scar where a medusa piercing has been healed over, shallow dimples that only appear when he grins widely. [ 6'1" ]
Petra Molina [ 17 — F — Pansexual ] — as one of the only Non-British people at Green Valley, Petra brings a lot of intrigue and gossip wherever she goes — both the positive and negative kinds due to her appearance and life-style. Outwardly she never seems fazes by the whispers gathering in her shadow and she tends to keep to herself but she's a deeply passionate person as well as a loyal and protective friend, one that builds an almost perfect support system no matter what you'll go through.
[ Polish-Canadian ] small, petite frame — not much muscle and not a lot of fat, cool beige skin tone — often seen with rosy cheeks despite the weather of what she's feeling and wearing the colour black as clothing or makeup doesn't seem to wash her out paler, waist-length chestnut brown wavy hair (2c) that is usually left down and wind-swept in style with a choppy fringe that falls in a middle parting, down-turned hooded eyes, small snub nose, narrow lips with a straight cupid's bow and undefined philtrum, a singular beauty spot of the right side of her chin. [ 4'11" ]
Dakota Green [ 16 — F/M — Demi-sexual ] — the person who's friendly with everyone but the one no-one seems to know anything about. Not much is known about Dakota except the vast rumours that surround them and their family name — the biggest one being that the Green family are one of the founding families of the Green Valley Academic Chain. They have power and connections and might just be the key to figuring out the darker secrets surrounding Casadia Hall, you'd just have to get close enough for their walls to crumble.
[ Black-British ] average build — not particularly thin but not plump either, rich brown skin tone, shoulder-length white freshly bleach-dyed afro (4b) usually styled in two low puffs (F) or in a natural afro (M), black thin and shaped eyebrows, dark brown downturned protruding eyes — a faint scar running through the left eye the colour is so similar to their skin tone most people don't notice it at a glance, flat bridged nubian shaped nose, heart shaped full lips — upper lip thins out when they smile, a small and hard to differentiate beauty spot under the left side of their lips. [ 5'5" / 5'8" ]
Echo Edwards [ 16 — F/M/NB — Bisexual ] — Echo is the person most people wish they could be: the one most people are too scared to be. They're cool, calm and collected which a natural charm and a never-ending well of sage and though-provoking advice. They're the type of person people can't seem to insult, no matter how hard they try and the type of person who's smooth words could potentially get them, you and your house out of the worst types of trouble. However, is this worth their time? Or would their effort be better placed on keeping it out of mystery?
[ Thai-Welsh ] "attractively androgynous" average build — no particular curvature, fat or muscle however they have more muscle than they let on, rich sienna skin tone, dark dyed purple-almost-black (naturally dark brown) chest-length hair (1b) often styled tied up in some way — most commonly tied up in twin twisted space buns, dark brown straight medium-thick eyebrows, wide set monolided hazel-brown eyes, singular beauty mark directly under the outside corner of their right eye, short button nose with a stud piercing on right side, oval shaped lips with a fuller upper lip, straight shaped cupid's bow and defined vermillion boarder, one dimple on the left side that only appears when they smile. [ 5'7" ]
Lyric Bronwin [ 16 — NB — Non-Sex-Repulsed-Asexual, Pan-romantic ] — as someone who has never liked to be kept caged, Lyric lets their rebellious nature shine through in everything they do. They're outspoke and quick to defend what they believe in — due to excellent debate skills and some tough times in a couple of foster homes. They're good at finding loopholes and giving a change of perspective, which is especially useful when you start to get tunnel-visioned and stuck on a problem. It's hard to say no to them but that doesn't mean they're easy to like — what would be for the best?
[ Japanese ] lithe "unathletic with a fast metabolism" build, fair fawn skin tone, jaw length jet black hair (1a) often styles outwards under a beanie making their hair look shorter, thick yet shaped black eyebrows, double-lidded chocolate brown upturned asian eyes, narrow, straight nose with a high nose bridge — hooped septum piercing, small mouth and small lips, short and well-maintained thin moustache — to "confuse the prejudiced". [ 5'9" ]
OTHER CHARACTERS OF IMPORTANCE
Melinda Khan, Head Master [ 47 — F ] — the current headmaster of Green Valley Connection and Boarding School, London. Her smile is serene when it isn't sharp and her presence is calm and kind when it isn't rigid and intimidating. It's hard to get a read on her and it's even harder to keep secrets from her. They only questions left are — what does she know and who's side is she on?
Geoffrey Davies, Grounds Keeper [ 52 — M ] — stand-offish and not really in a good way, he's quiet and broody and isn't afraid of 'powerful people'. He's quite the mystery as the only thing people really know of the man is his love for gardening, unfortunately he's terrifying to talk to with a pair of hedge sheers in his hands.
Noaki Bushby, House Keeper [ 39 — NB ] — in charge of looking after the house rather than its inhabitants, Naoki is as kind as they are awkward and it's blatantly obvious they're much more suited to house keeper. They have background in architecture and home decoration making them incredibly suited to the job but they're kind of scary when you can hear them coming.
Archie Novak, House Mother [ 40 — M ] — takes on the role of 'mother' with pride. He has a degree in psychology and his previous job was working in a day care facility. Archie is loving and nurturing and is a warm and welcoming presence at Casadia Hall.
Mister, House Cat [ 3+ — M ] — Ragdoll, white body with a fully chocolate brown face. No one can recall where he came from, just that his name is Mister and he's been at Casadia Hall for three years.
UPDATES:
hi! welcome to green valley. you may have seen 'green valley' before in regards to trick serve, my other interactive fiction — so don't worry about plagiarism. this is because these two books will be in the same universe! green valley is the name of the chain of academic locations i made up! in this if you'll be playing an MC in their teens in a boarding school. (there won't be any connection to trick serve).
i will be focusing on this if first, think of this as a tool for me to learn coding through doing it and not getting super stuck or annoyed - it won't be as complicated.

The creatures, however, aren’t the only things one needed to watch out for; other magic users, the one’s with an affinity to the Dark Arts, still roamed even after years of Voldemort’s defeat.
That’s where you come in.
You’re an Auror— a police officer for the Magical World— that makes sure the innocent people of Diagon Alley, and beyond, are kept safe.
It was during one of these chases— having been tipped off about a suspected straggler from Voldemort’s Army— that your life changed forever.
Having crashed through one of the seedier stores within Knockturn Alley, you were blinded by a flash of light before appearing in a world that seemed like your own but was completely different all the same.
Not only were you stuck in the past— centuries before you were ever borne— you had no idea how to return to the present.
Nor did the people who came with you…
This story will be rated 18+ later on for profanity, alcohol consumption, violence, sexual themes, and mentions of torture.

Figure out a way to get back to your own time— if you even want to— while trying not to hurt one of the people who had come with you.
Interact with a variety of magical creatures.
The Founder of House Gryffindor; Godric/Godria is exactly as the stories have spoken of. Standing tall and proud, auburn hair falling in gentle waves, as their green eyes observe their surroundings. Their famous sword always on their hip as they traverse through the halls of Hogwarts.
Will you tame their lion heart? Or will you get nothing but heartache for your troubles?
The Founder of House Hufflepuff; Helge/Helga is a kind hearted being that wants nothing but the best for their students— and for the other Founders to stop bickering— with encouraging words always leaving their lips. Dark brown hair, paired with hazel eyes, giving off a gentle aura that they always try to maintain.
Will you show them the loyalty they’ve always given others? Or will you leave them like the many before?
The Founder of House Ravenclaw; Rowen/Rowena is an intelligent individual that always has an air of detachment surrounding them. Raven black hair, crystalline blue eyes, and fair skin, gives them an intimidating stature that they don’t dispute. However, it’s with a select few of their students that they let their guard down. Letting their true identity to appear. Will you ever become lucky enough to see it?
Will you be able to temper their talons? Or will you only end up getting cut?
The Founder of House Slytherin; Salazar/Salazara is not what you were expecting when you met them for the first time. Pale blonde hair, slate grey eyes, and alabaster skin were not things you’ve ever heard them be described with. Their cunning mind, quick wit, and silver tongue doing well to detract from peoples attention on their looks.
Will you be able to withstand their venom? Or will you fall prey to it like many before you?
Your partner— one of the people that had been unfortunately pulled with you— for over two years. They may not have the most practical ideas but they’re more likely to work than one may think. Their dark brown eyes filled with nothing but warmth towards you— pairing well with their onyx black curls and medium brown skin tone— as they’ve often mentioned they could have never asked for a better partner.
Will you become more? Or is that all you will ever be?
The other person that was pulled along— unfortunately for you— who also happens to be the very person you had been chasing. One of the last stragglers of Voldemort’s army; Kieran/Kiera’s dark blue eyes are sharper than the simple lackeys you’ve met before. Paired with their flirtatious smile and quips, you know you have quite the time ahead of you. Especially now that you don’t technically have the jurisdiction to detain them.
Will you find out what hides underneath the mark on their arm? Or will they forever remain an enigma to you?

“All you need is faith, trust, and pixie dust…”
It was a sentence, whispered with such sweet sincerity, that pulled the unassuming into a web they could never escape. Promises of eternal youth, endless adventures, and a land that you could forget all your troubles in, being the final nail in the proverbial coffin. As it was never explained what you had to give up in return; everything that you’d sacrifice in order to achieve such wonderment.
Your life…
The memories of a gentle touch across your forehead, followed by the sound of soft laughter that never failed to fill you with warmth, was all that you could recall of your life before Never Land. Before you had been deceived into believing that you could have better. Never knowing that you were about to leave better behind…
Faith had been lost long ago when you had begun to miss your mother and wanted to go back; wanted to be in her warm embrace once more. Trust had followed quickly after when you had been shunned for expressing such wishes.
All that remained was pixie dust— in a small vial wedged somewhere within your room— but even that would never be able to take you to where you wished to be. A place, a time, that you’d never be able to go to again.
Your old name— the one your mother had given you— was only spoken by a select few but you were known far and wide by another name. A name that had been given to you by the very man that had brought you here.
Captain Hook.
Play as Captain Hook as you try to come to terms with everything that has happened in your life. Will you be able to get to the bottom of what happened to Peter Pan? Or will everything forever be shrouded in darkness?

Befriend the Crocodile that always seems to be following you around.
Romance 1 of 5 options from Peter Pan himself to your first mate.
Will you be able to figure out a way to stop Peter before more children suffer the same fate you have?
Don’t let the beauty of Never Land fool you… it’s a dark and dangerous place that one needs to have a sharp mind to navigate.
Remember to trust yourself and your instincts but don’t forget the people who wish to help you. They may be the ones to save your life…
Peter Pan [M] - The Lost Boy
Appears 28 [6’2” | Dark Brown Eyes | Auburn Hair]
With a devilish smile, mischievous eyes, and an unpredictable personality, Peter has never been one to truly fit into one box. Especially not with how long you’ve known him. Of course, you also remember when the dark brown of his eyes were filled with warmth and care. Instead of how they are now where they almost seem devoid of everything that made Peter… Peter. Maybe, with your help, you’ll be able to help him find his way back.
FC: Jeremy Sumpter
Tinkerbell [F] - The Mystery
Appears 26 [5’8” | Sapphire Blue Eyes | Golden Blonde Hair]
You’ve never known that much about Tinkerbell— besides the fact that she had a fiery temper— but you also try to forget the majority of the path that has led you to where you are now. Having never truly been close with Tink it’s understandable why you’re surprised to find her surrounded by your crew; completely willing to hand herself over if it meant she could speak with you. Will you be able to discover the secrets that she keeps? Will you find something more along the way?
FC: Elizabeth Olsen
Samuel/Samantha [M/F] - The First Mate
Appears 33 [5’5” | Hazel Eyes | Dark Brown Hair]
The one person in Never Land that you can confidently say that you trust. Your First Mate, or Smee as the majority of your crew calls them, is a gentle soul that tries their best to please you no matter what. It’s a fact that you’ve tried to change but their unwavering devotion to you hasn’t shifted their stance in the slightest. With a kind smile, gentle heart, and compassionate nature, it’s no wonder that Smee is one of the most crucial members of your crew. You know that you’d be lost without them.
FC: Miguel Iglesias || Victoria Justice
Adriel/Ariel [M/F] - The Connection
Appears 29 [5’11” | Emerald Green Eyes | Ash Brown Hair]
One of the few people within Never Land that’s connected to your past that you still actively try to speak to. With a stoic exterior, hiding a heart of gold beneath, they’ve always made your time in Mermaid Cove much easier by scaring the rest of the mermaids away when you’ve needed to speak to them; especially since you know that Peter tends to frequent the place too. Now, with the addition of legs, they’ve sworn to help you figure out what’s poisoned not only Never Land but it’s supposed Guardian as well.
FC: Mitchell Wick || Angelina Jolie/Megan Fox
Gray/Grace [M/F] - The Newest Addition
27 [5’10” | Light Brown Eyes | Onyx Black Hair]
The most recent newcomer to Never Land that is unlike any of the ones you’ve seen before; with the simple fact that they’re a full fledged adult. Only used to dealing with possibly hysterical kids you don’t truly know how to deal with an hysterical adult. Especially when they keep spouting things about Disney and this having to be a dream. Fortunately, whenever they’re not completely freaking out they have a wonderful personality; a teasing tone, compassionate eyes, and a dazzling smile. Will you be able to show them that the stories they’ve (somehow) heard aren’t true? That you’re not the villain.
FC: Michael B. Jordan || Naomi Campbell
Hidden Demon is an interactive fiction set within a world filled with superheroes and villains. Will you find your place among them?
Genre(s): Superhero, Romance, Heist, Action, and Adventure. (It can get dark depending on your choices.)
Setting: Los Angeles, California
Warning(s): This story is rated 18+ for depictions of violence, torture, death, alcohol consumption, (possible) drug use, sexual themes, strong language, blood, and dark themes.
Scenario/NSFW asks are more than welcomed.
Los Angeles is commonly referred to as the City of Angels. Of course, that’s before the sun falls beneath the horizon and the demons come out to play. Less than reputable folk coming out of the woodworks to turn the city into their own playground; free of their masks that the day brings.
You’re among that very crowd; some of them you see as close friends. You weren’t anyone that has truly made a name for themselves— yet— but the person you work for has a presence that no one would ever go up against.
The Morrigan wasn’t one anyone would ever want to cross.
You don’t know what you’d be without them— as you had simply been a broke college graduate when they found you— but you know that they’ve given you more opportunities than many in this city get.
Which is why, when they sit you down and explain their newest plan, you agree without much complaints.
How hard can it possibly be?
Customizable MC: name, nickname (if desired), gender, sexuality, villain name (that some people may not use), hobbies, and more!
Play as the henchman to one of the most feared villains in the Western Hemisphere; a figure that few have ever seen and lived to tell the tale.
Experience flashbacks to the moment(s) that changed your life forever; where you were just a poor, graduated, college student that needed to figure out how to make ends meet.
Will you be the water to your bosses fire? Or will you only fan the flames more?
Help your boss with the crime of the century— their words— as you do other odd jobs to prepare for the big one.
Make sure you don’t stay out too late. You don’t want to have your daily life suffer because of it. Can’t have people questioning you after all.
Romance 1 of 5 possible options; including your boss or clueless roommate.
Make sure you spend some time with your dog, okay? Or you’ll get puppy eyes.
Remember not to get caught! Or it’ll be very awkward when your boss has to bail you out.
Nathan/Natasha Frost - The Morrigan
31 [6’4” | Blue-Green Eyes | Raven Black Hair]
You’ve been working for your boss for about four years now and, within that time, you’ve learned quite a bit about them. Like how they’re actually the CEO of Frost Industries that uses their multitude of connections for their nightly habits. Or how they’re the biggest sap for romance novels. Of course, their cold exterior only ever melts around you but that doesn’t mean they’re any less dangerous. They’re just a tiger lying in wait for the time to strike; you always need to remember that.
Richard/Rosalie Shepherd - The Stranger
32 [6’1” | Slate Grey Eyes | Golden Blonde Hair]
A friendly stranger that you’ve met in your building a couple times— conversation passing easily between you both— and you can’t help but wonder if anything more could come of it. You also can’t help but feel like you’ve seen them somewhere before; barring the times you’ve seen them waiting for the elevator in the lobby of your building. You just can’t quite put your finger on where you’ve seen them before. Their gentle demeanor seemingly off to you somehow; though you have no doubt that it’s real.
Jace/Jade Cassidy - The Roommate
28 [5’8” | Golden-Brown Eyes | Onyx Black Hair]
Your roommate— who also happens to be your best friend— that has no idea what you do during your supposed “night-shifts”. Even when you can see the question in their eyes they never put it to words; instead they simply leave notes for you whenever you get back. Notes that detail various things— laundries done, leftovers in the fridge for you, left a message for you from your mom— you don’t know what you’d do without them. Which is why you haven’t told them what you do; you didn’t want to find out.
Oliver/Olivia Jones - The Enigma
29 [5’10” | Dark Brown Eyes | Light Brown Hair]
Even years after you started working for your boss, you never truly interacted with the other henchman that they employed; at least of the ones that spent any true time with them. Their cold exterior, no nonsense behavior, and biting retorts, was a good deterrent for anyone trying to get close. However, with the new heist being an all hands on deck situation, will you get to know them better than you ever thought you would?
Adel/Adele Michelson - The Federal Agent
30 [6’0” | Hazel Eyes | Dark Auburn Hair]
An investigator that decided the seemingly random chain of events within LA wasn’t actually random. You wouldn’t be too worried about them if it wasn’t for the fact that you kept running into them; seriously when did the feds actually start being competent? With their flirtatious remarks and cocksure grin, you knew that you were in trouble. As you get closer you know you’re playing with a ticking time bomb; will you be able to throw it away before the explosion? Or will you gladly burn in the inferno it causes?

It all started in the summer of 2022, when a small asteroid crashed in a secluded part of the woods. The asteroid itself didn’t pose a threat. In fact, it was fairly small in size and had shrunk even more during its fall. It’s what came with it that changed the lives of the city residents forever.
A virus.
A virus that had peculiar effects on people. A painful transition period. Some survived. And were left to figure out how to get accustomed to their new abilities. Others were not so lucky. When the transition became too painful to handle, death claimed them. Only a few people knew the true nature of the virus. The rest of the city only ever knew of it as a horrible contagious disease. Thus, the city went into lockdown for a couple of years. Until the scientists found a cure and the deaths started to decrease.
Of course, it isn’t really that simple. After all, we never really know what happened behind closed doors. For one, there are the effects that the virus left behind.

Your family all died in a tragic accident when you were young, and you were there to witness every gruesome detail. Gahliarch is not kind to those with magick. Breaking from a treaty made hundreds of years ago, they have returned to their dark roots and have begun purging their lands of magai once more. Where the nations of Syrel'Court and Heimshall believe that magick was given as a holy connection to their god creator Eddath, Gahliarch believes it a curse meant to be snuffed out; and themselves the divine judge, jury and executioner to do so.
You know of these executors first hand, born with magick and taken into captivity by the Gahliarchen nobility's personal bloodhounds, the Lumniscen Order. Like poignant cloying shadows they came after you and others of your kind as you had tried to cross the sea into the magai harboring lands of Heimshall and left you a vengeful husk upon your escape from them.
Now you hunt them in return for the pain they inflict. A vendetta through years of hardship and dedication to your craft, you have become the same nightmare they invoked on your kind. An assassin taking down the inner workings of Gahliarch’s most corrupt factions in turn for their grotesque genocide.
But there is news of war on the horizon. The nations of Gahliarch, Syrel'Court and Heimshall all meant to be governed by mutual interest and bond of The Seven Circle Court is being broken apart from the inside by quickly silenced rumors and faceless ploys, but this political turmoil might just be what you need to finally infiltrate and be done with the Lumniscen Order once and for all; to burn them from their rotting inside out.
It is time to decide who you want on your side, or risk going alone into the underbelly of Gahliarch’s hungry underground political society. Bring their secrets to burn in the light, dig into your history, fall into the depths of revenge and madness, discover hidden treaties and balance the lives of others in your hands. God or no god on your side.

RO's
Enoc Castellon Male An information broker notorious in Gahliarch as the best of the best. Very little gets past them and unlike others in the business of information, he is not afraid of getting hands on with his work unlike some others who prefer slinking about in the shadow waiting for bits of rumor or documents to make their way to them. You are lucky to call him a friend, possibly the only one you've truly had, but that doesn't mean that you get a pass for your behavior if he see's it as detrimental to your health or safety. Strict but on the edge of parental in their concern, you have come to respect each other despite it being such an unlikely partnership but it is one you've patched into your lifestyle so far you don't know what it would look like without him and how he becomes so much softer and calmer around you. He seems to have just as many secrets and a history riddled with scars as you however, something that brings solace to you both, but there is something else hidden there that Enoc himself is unwilling to say which continues to drive a wedge between your trust.
Wilorin Whitespire Gender Selectable (m/f) A reclusive figure working in the underground of Gahliarch's capital of Montseignant. A doctor by trade and one who used to work as scholar and instructor for medicine as a court physician they are an imposing figure in both appearance and personality, crude and no-nonsense they are the voice of reason in most situations and remain a pessimist despite their urge to do their duty and care for those less fortunate and underprivileged. After an unfortunate turn of events when Wilorin had to flee persecution from the Court after helping a group of magai escape Gahliarch, they had help from an old lover, Koske Ichante, who took them in while in hiding and started a small group together in the underground to continue their work in helping the refugee's find ways out of Gahliarch's failing judicial system. Wilorin's connections are widespread, between a small group of unlawfully discharged soldiers under the command of Koske, a network of the young children of the underground looking for ways to earn food and a place to rest off the street, and Wilorin's reluctant communication with Rowul Wayvir, they are more than well established as the largest faction in the underbelly of Gahliarch.
Rowul Wayvir Gender selectable (m/f) Hailing from one of the most prestigious academies of magick as an ambassador between Syrel'Court and Gahliarch, Rowul is a person of great interest and intrigue in the court, naturally charming and seen as highly gifted. With Gahliarch falling back into a time where it was open to persecute those with magick it makes the job of a magai ambassador dangerous however with secrets around every corner, they never seem to show the pressure getting to them though, leaving every conversation with a graceful and eloquent impact. Witty, sarcastic and yet always with a plan up their sleeve, there is more to them that meets the eye and you come to learn this first hand as they seek you out for a very particular job. They act as if they are an open book but you find yourself truly wondering what just lies beneath the carefully curated façade of nobility they air to the public and what plans they have in store for the ever changing political scene now that war is on the horizon. They have surprising connections, including their own bodyguard and spy Belos, a Tithessian from the Marshes of Phesen and some of the innermost of the underground of Gahliarch's capital making them a formidable enemy and a valuable ally, working their magick from the shadow all while in the spotlight of high society.
Belos Nonbinary A ghost rarely seen. Belos' work as a mercenary was renowned having been adopted into a family who prided themselves in their work as sellswords before mysteriously disappearing from the business. They aren't keen on talking about exactly what happened other then they had to take family matters into their own hands and did some things they were not proud of and became indebted to Rowul Wayvir because of it. They still find value in their skillset as a mercenary, watching everything and leaving no trace behind and when seen their inhuman features leave a particular foreboding unease, but it is often tainted with much darker undertones after having worked as a notorious assassin. There is something predatorial about them in appearance, though those who are fortunate enough to actually get to know them understand that their stoic expressions and silence is simply a comfort to themselves in preferring solitude over having to make small talk or unnecessary conversation. Wickedly smart with keen observational skills, details don't get past them easily and surprisingly for their quiet demeanor they are very emotionally in tune and have given solid advice to those they consider friends. They are loyal to Rowul and therefore loyal to their cause as well and when set on a task Belos makes sure it is completed no matter the cost.
Eowulf Rit Lechlen Female Born to a family once known as nobility in the capital of Gahliarch, Eowulf is the eldest daughter of the Rit Lechlen family who were exiled under false accusations and their title stripped from them. She has been preparing for her revenge for as long as she can remember and while she already has what she needs to incriminate those that already took her families title from them, she now needs a force strong enough to make the Court's Council listen to her claim without facing execution for returning to a land she was exiled from. The Rit Lechlen's have made a name for themselves again over the years on the Island of Rhes as fierce sailors and Eowulf shows it proudly, a strong fighter and leader she wears her families name with pride despite their stained status and laughs in the face of her adversaries for their naivety thinking simple words could make her stop her pursuit for justice. Her moral compass is strongly led by the desire to correct the wrongdoings of the system that has failed others like her and her family and exposing those who leech off of the system for their own benefit. Gahliarch is the perfect place to start this hellbent reckoning.
Sigunn Mlane Genderfluid A quick-witted bard and scholar originally from the smaller city of Cairith in Gahliarch, they later moved to the Island of Rhes as a scribe for the Rit Lechlen family when their studies were finished, becoming friends with the family's eldest child Eowulf Rit Lechlen, even so far as to become her personal bard and follow her in her endeavors to record her history. They are a notable tactician and have studied histories and lores extensively, making them a formidable ally to have in both battlefield and court. Sigunn as most bards tend to be has expressed abilities in political deals and spy work and is known to be a trickster in their own right but loyal to Eowulf and her beliefs of justice even if they are more aloof about it. Being a bard is one of the most honored roles of society, tasked with accurately keeping track of history happening around them, it is seen as one of the highest acts of treason both politically and religiously to temper with historical writings of a bard and they are trained to be be detached and impassive so that they can write everything accurately to what truly happened no matter what light it paints on their patrons or even themselves. While Sigunn is dedicated and passionate about their craft, they are a very personable and emotionally engaged person all while leaving you question if there's anything hidden behind that carefully placed grin.
Additional Characters There is a wide range of characters depicted in The Rising Night that are not just the RO cast that you will get to know and even influence throughout the story itself. These are a few of them that you will get to know alongside many others to come.
Koske Ichante Male Former captain of the guard for Montseignant's elite and a past lover of Wilorin's, they now work as the right hand man to WIlorin's underground faction working against Gahliarch's nobility and political system. The few soldiers that were under his tutelage at the time of his dishonorable discharge from the Court now work as a task force under Koske that sweep the streets and protect those that can't protect themselves and bring back those looking for asylum from persecution. Just as stubborn as Wilorin, Koske and Wilorin deal with each other in a familial bantering manner however they know that they would do most anything for each other.
Beckett Female A street rat that was one of the first that was found and brought in by Wilorin and Koske's refugee asylum, she was quick to bring in the other children of the street until they became a formidable force of thieves and spies that began helping the refugee's by bringing back supplies and news while they stole from high society to survive. Beckett’s trust is hard earned and impossible to win back, they have learned who and what they want in their life early and have no qualms with cutting out what harms them or the others they care for. Making her a devout friend but a dangerous enemy. Beckett is also sarcastic and dry being the ringleader of her little group of thieves certainly made her a little prideful and a tiny bit greedy with a slight superiority complex but she is quick to be put in her place by Wilorin reminding her that she is still a child and can't make demands with a reminder of who makes sure she and her group still have food and shelter for their work.
Jeivanni Male A pirate through and through, his infamy comes from reckless behavior raiding ships coming to and from Gahliarch, outmatching even the best of the naval fleets and racing the sailors of the Island of Rhes in playful competition. Jeivanni is not often one to do things for others, indulging in selfish endeavors as they are known to work with the highest bidder for their time. A natural scallywag and flirt, they have no real honor and are often reprimanded for their short sighted goals and needs. However underneath most of that Jeivanni does have genuine interest in ensuring Gahliarch and its citizens have a better future, not necessarily the Magai but it falls under the same category, but they have never had much opportunity other than pirating off of Gahliarch’s nobility to do anything, so he is interested in helping by being the one to secretly bring Eowulf and Sigunn from the Island of Rhes back into Gahliarch for the start of their revolution. Although he tends to cover that interest in sloughs of self praise and saying he simply “wants to go down in history”.

ENDNOTE: While The Rising Night is a passion project of mine, please keep in mind that it is not a full time job that I can focus on 24/7 and it is in its early stages, as much as I would love to focus solely on this, updates will be slow while I am finding a suitable balance working on this alongside my actual lifestyle and work but the blog will be active for questions, sneak peaks, drawings and other fun stuff.
You know the streets are dangerous. ‘Course you do. It’s the first thing you learn here, right after how to cry and right before how to hush. Children with velcro on their shoes know it before they learn to lace them up.
So why are you out here, alone, at night?
