The Haunting of Killoch is a supernatural horror-comedy interactive fiction game currently in development. It is published on Itch.io using Twine. The game is currently rated 18+. So far, only the prologue has been published.

Haunted by trauma and the ghosts of your family, you were raised alone by your Aunt Lucia in the south of England. Your family all died in a tragic accident when you were young, and you were there to witness every gruesome detail. Now, as a young 20-something, you claim not to remember their deaths, or that experience at all. Because you don't. Right?

Memories flash by you when you sleep, nightmares choking you in the depths of darkness, bloody details you'd wiped from your mind. But the night is never as bad as the day, where visions and sounds that no one else can see or hear plague your waking hours. Are you haunted or just unwell? Only time will tell.

Now? You're a paranormal investigator with your two closest friends. Known on the internet as the Supernatural Sleuths, you have an up-and-coming Youtube channel and travel the world in search of paranormal mysteries, hoping to one day prove that this world isn't all it appears to be.

One day, your friend Marzena finds the latest story for you to follow. A woman has been found murdered on the outskirts of a forest in a secluded part of Ireland. No one knows who she is, and nobody has claimed the body. The closest village feigns ignorant. Apparently, this woman is a ghost. Worse still, there are reports that the woman was covered in occult markings and tattoos.

Will you get to the bottom of this mysterious woman's death? Will you uncover the terrifying secrets hidden within the village of Killoch? Or will your own demons consume you before you get the chance?

An old friend from university, Teddy is a spoiled socialite who lives off their rich parents. Charming, disarming, and endlessly hiding behind a facade of humour, Teddy is the known sceptic within your trio. Still, you can't hold that against them when their wealth is what funds many of your paranormal investigations.

The Believer | Marzena Lipniska-Navarro | She/Her | RO

Marzena has been your friend since you were 15 years old, you've been with each other through thick and thin, through joy and pain. And now you're paranormal investigators together. Marzena is scarily smart, with a dry, sarcastic humour that can take you by surprise sometimes. She's a passionate believer in the supernatural and the group's linguist.

The Lady | Mairead Fahy | She/Her | RO

Mairead Fahy is the head of the Fahy family and the lady of the Killoch Manor. She's aloof, yet charming, and even the ghost of her smile has rendered visitors speechless. One of the mysteries you intend to solve in Killoch. Could she be hiding horrors behind that kind mask?

The Pariah | Daithí Fahy | He/Him | RO

The younger brother of Mairead and the lord of the Killoch Manor. Daithí is unpredictable, cruel, and prone to outbursts of rage. You swear that when he smiles, his teeth seem sharper than they should be. But is it possible that there is more to him beneath the surface?
