2 year of (very slow) improvements in 3 screenshots.
Game development is hard (and slow) :T
Puzzle time!! Remember, always pay attention to the gravity fields.
After a lot of tweaks and redraws, I finally reached a satisfying (and cute) running animation for the little bird.
Riki is a cute and helpless bird, but that doesn't mean he won't show off some of his acrobatic prowess.
Started to draw some of the other character that will apear on the game, besides Riki.
Fo now we have Riki's older brother and Johnny, Riki's best friend.
The Evil Eye (spiral galaxy NGC 4826) watches over the lost bird as the player begins the second level of the game.
PS: I may consider redrawing or making some touch ups later as it looks a far cry from the amazing image it is based on.

A definitely not dangerous doppelganger to follow you around, just keep a healthy distance from him and you'll be fine.
A little look at the dash mechanics of the game.
Despite being safer on land, Riki still will have to watch out for the dangerous hazards.
An accurate depiction of testing a new code for the first time.
Been drawing some concepts for cutscenes. There are a lot of cutscenes to animate for the third level of the game.
These is going to take forever (ᗒᗣᗕ)
The backstory of the game's protagonist will be told in the loading screens.
Paying attention to them will explain the sequence of events that resulted in the broken bird getting lost in the emptiness of space.
Newcomer solo game developer. Developing my first game, Flightless Star. A challenging "platformer" where you play with a cute bird lost in space
