Hehe I'm writing a fic which is basically this
Dick, drunk: Man, fuck Jason.
Roy, also drunk, near tears: Dude I'm trying.
Part 9
Dick about his family in Nightwing #79: “I’ve always had someone to catch me if fell. My parents. My father. My other father. And my brothers.”
Jason in Detective Comics #975: “Being here, being one of all of you… It’s important to me. […] Family is family. I can make room on the black sheep side of the table if I need to.”
Bruce, Kate and Jacob talk about Martha in Detective Comics #978:
Part 11
It’s okay, I didn’t need my heart anyway 😭😭😭😭
Got a lil help from @sunlitlemonade - thank youuuu
I genuinely love how in batfam fanfics….
Dick is like: little D (Damian), Timmy Tim, little wing (Jason) I’m on my way my baby bros!!!
And then in canon….
Dick: *perpetually perturbed by his codependent siblings but knows he’ll never not answer cause who else is gonna pull their dumbassses out the gutter*
hope is a skill
*screaming*
Tim learned on a simulator because no one was there to teach him.
I have thoughts that he did lots of things on simulators. Like he simulated conversations with his dad, telling him all about Robin. He simulated watching movies with Dick. He simulated playing chess games with Bruce.
Tim used the simulator as a tool for social interaction with people who weren’t there.
And the simulator taught him how to drive. :-/
Something I never realised until recently is that by writing a fic about the scenarios I want with the characters I like, I end up with a story to read that I really love 😁 and that’s worth a lot to me!
You should write the most niche, indulgent fiction that appeals to you specifically, because it will be much more artistically authentic and valuable than corporate slop that has been focus tested to death to appeal to the widest audience possible.
Write for yourself and you will always be making authentic art that has an uncompromised vision, and you will gain an audience that appreciates that.
During an important meeting at Wayne Industries it gets crashed by Robin and Red Robin fighting. They crash through a window onto the long table causing the employees to freak out and hide in a corner. Various objects in the room are being used as weapons. The room gets trashed. Bruce has to use his dad voice on the two vigilantes and they stop fighting and sheepishly run away. The scared employees are impressed that Bruce was able to stop the fight and he just shrugs it off like it’s no big deal. “My kids fight all the time I knew the dad voice would work”.
