Yesterday I showed my friend characters from hxh and he had to guess their personality and age I’m crying
In defense of JFM. I don't think it's fair to say he was a horrible father. He had a mild personality and never yelled. If anything, he would always try to stop the arguments YZY tried to start around the kids. It's not his fault she kept going. As for his kids, YZY decided JYL's marriage before she was even born so JFM's hands were tied, but he still broke off the engagement when it seemed like it wouldn't make her happy (I doubt JZX spoke like that at LP or KT). And is LWJ bad for not picking
A-Yuan up as a kid? And even JC’s hard desire to impress his father is more from years of YZY pointing out how inferior he is TO HIS FATHER. Even YZY’s claim that he doesn’t like JC because he’s too much like YZY is her bitter declaration, not JFM’s feelings. Let’s not forget this is the same woman who says WWX may be JFM’s illegitimate son from an affair, in front of their children. And lots of parents of high status were reserved in canon. Expressive physical parents like WWX or Madame Jin towards JYL are uncommon. Just look at the Lans and Nies and Jins and Wens. I think JFM tried his best, and while he may not have been the best, he was not bad either. I feel if he had more freedom to raise his kids, he would have done a better job. With WWX, he didn’t have to consult YZY first or could just ignore her decisions, unlike with his own children.
Gon embarrassing Killua.
Ох, какая замечательная прелесть.

Growing up, you hadn’t realized the orphanage that you had resided in had a secret purpose. Most kids who were too young or too new didn’t know. At least, until you showed potential or until you grew up just enough to realize that there was a competition held among some of the top children in the House.
It was a test of intelligence, of wits. Of cleverness and survival.
You learned about L and his legacy.
You learned about the rivalry between Near and Mello (weird names in hindsight, but you couldn’t really say anything about yours).
But the thing that really affected you the most after that sudden realization was this:
Nothing changed.
