Bella is named Isabella Marie Swan after her grandmother Marie. Charlie's mother is named Marie because her mother (Bella great-grandmother for those in the back) wanted to honor her late big sister, who tragically disapeared after being sent to an asylum... Mary Alice Brandon.

Bella discover it after hearing the birth name of Alice, which is the same than her great grandmother's.

I love the idea from the bottom of my heart, but I don't see it as possible. For me the transformation is an optimisation of the body as a weapon, more solid, more beautiful and more dangerous. Unfortunately the gender doesn’t fit in those parameters. And transformation only implies reparation as far as we know, we haven't heard about the regrowth of a limb if someone whithout leg for exemple was turned, so I don't think it could change organs. But it would be cool if it was possible 😁

I have a question since I'm not american. Emmett is from the south appalachian mountains and is often used to include more diversity in The Olympic coven, he is often black in the fic in order to do this. But apparently (Wikipedia so.. idk) appalachian has also a big indigeneous population, so could Emmett be native ? It could be really interesting to see how it could affect the interactions between the Cullen and the Quileute if one of them was from another native tribe. Can someone tell me if I'm totally wrong or if this could be possible ? 😁

How I see vampire physiology :

- Temperature :

It seems stupid to have vampires as cold as ice, because to maintain a frozen temperature, they would need a biological system dedicated to this only goal. And why ? Venom conservation ? If venom if active on human body it needs a human temperature for that so ... no need to be cold.

I think that vampire are cold because they are dead. So like every non-alive item they are as warm as the room they are in. That's why they can hold snow without melting it. But if you put them under a blanket whith someone human or in a hot tub they will have a rise of temperature.

- Skin as hard as stone :

I think their blood circulation is replaced by venom so if tissues are inpregnated by venom they will be slightly modified. So their skin is not hard as stone but it could be indestructible. If venom molecules form a mail/mesh inside the skin, it could still be moved by touch or follow movements but couldn't be pierced or tore apart. And it's that venom's mail that sparkle in the sun .One could pinch Alice's cheeks but wouldn't be able to stab her even whith a sharp knife. Like the sand on the beach, you can push slowly your arm under the sand but if you stab it with your finger you will risk a visit to the hospital.

- Why drinking blood ?

If they have a need to drink it then blood have an utility within their organisms, I think venom replace blood in their blood circulation and that's why their heart doesn’t beat but the other circulatory system still function but slightly differently. Their eyes are still humid to facilitate the movements BUT they don't have tears (it exist only to protect the eyes and theirs aren't as vulnerable as human eyes) inside are still wet too to maintain the possibility of movements (if your organs weren't humid, your abdomen would be impossible to move). Ears and eyes have their liquid replace by venom and that could explain the amelioration of senses.

For that I think blood is necessary to bring essential elements : water for the organism different systems and molecules like hemoglobin, needed to synthetize venom.

- The golden eye color for vegetarian vampire :

Science cannot explain this, Smeyer wanted a physical difference between "good" and "bad" vampires. But it brings a good aesthetic so ... let's keep it 😁

The only way I can imagine a pregnant vampire is with a woman who was bitten during her pregnancy, leaving her with a dead foetus inside her. No possibility to expulse it or "absorb" it, no possibility that the foetus live with the venom circulating inside the blood circulation of its mother and in its own circulation ... so a mass of vampiric tissue in the form of a foetus non evolving in the uterus of a vampire. She would be in a state of perpetual pregnancy without the expectancy part. No hope to have a baby and no hope to forget that you could have a baby. It’s just sad and one of the worse way to be turn into a vampire. 😱

smeyer has said before that pregnant vampires CAN exist and yet did not provide us with a pregnant vampire character? like i wanna see a pregnant vampire sucking on some elf blood while doing the splits, or better yet, having a human touch her stomach and noticing that its hard so they knock and hear an echo from within! there's so many possibilities and its all super cool. I just always assumed preggos during transformation either dissolve or shit the babies out (to heal) but this is way cooler

Honestly she's gorgeous and plays Rosalie wonderfully but (I know it's stupid) she's not a real blonde and it shows... it's not the case for every brown-haired woman but in her case she's so meant to have that hair color and she's so more beautiful with her real hair ! In the book Rose was always describe as a blonde model cliché and Nikki is not that kind of gal 😅

I think I see more someone like Margot Robbie in the role (or a young Adriana Karembeu for those who know her) 🤔 like an physic of a playboy first page but a sweet person inside ^^

Although I haven’t gotten to this point yet in my current ff, I DO think I can pull this off. I’m a musician, but more importantly, my boyfriend is SNOBBY when it comes to music, so I can ask him his music opinions and get a full essay.

I think that Edward Cullen would have snobbish and eclectic and fascinating opinions about music in a way that basically no one succeeds in writing him having. The problem is that if a writer doesn't know enough about the tastes of snobbish off-the-deep-end bottom-of-the-obscure-music-iceberg r/mus type people, then they can't really write a character who does. But we deserve an Edward who does. SMeyer doesn't understand this, but I do.

I JUST realized that the Denali clan is called the Denali clan because that is their last name, not because they live in Denali. I have been a fan of Twilight for years and I realized this just now, and I am LIVID because I’m Alaskan and I know personally how stupid it is.

The last name Denali doesn’t even make sense. The national park and the mountain were named Denali because it is a word coming from the Athabaskan language of the Koyukon indigenous peoples of the area. Why would that be Tanya’s last name???

What’s even WORSE is that she’s originally from Slovakia! So it would have made SENSE for her to have a Slovakian or a Russian last name. And if you know ANYTHING about Alaska, you would know that RUSSIAN LAST NAMES ARE SUPER COMMON BECAUSE THEY COLONIZED ALASKA BEFORE THE USA!!!!!!!

I didn’t know that I sleep talk until I started living in a college dorm with a roommate who enlightened me to the fact that I do, every night.

Not just sleep talk though, I sleep giggle too, and it freaks her the fuck out. All of this to say, I thought of one thing. How much I relate to Bella Swan in that way.

No one can understand the embarrassment of sleep talking except other people who sleep talk. I’m just lucky enough that I usually speak gibberish with an occasional real word thrown in.

Also, how messed up in the head am I that when I found out I sleep talk on the regular, I immediately thought « Oh god. Now I truly understand how Bella cringed when she learned what she said because that’s what I’M doing NOW »

Just watched the twilight extended version plus bonus features and I am…. loving life

Glad to see someone else agree with me, he REPEATEDLY WENT AGAINST WHAT SHE ASKED FOR. Even though she still loved him, she chose Edward from the beginning, and he never respected that choice.

Okay, I finished reading New Moon and it’s official: I no longer hate Jacob.

I’m still Team Edward (sorry not sorry) but the book gave me a new insight into Jacob that the movie just lacked. I understand his motivations more thoroughly and I can appreciate that his actions stem from him having a lot going on in his life.

Controversial opinion: Although I do still believe that Edward’s actions are more often done with the pure intention of Bella’s wellbeing at heart and that Jacob’s actions are more often done with more selfish intentions.

Overall though, I can understand those who prefer Jacob, and I honestly think the fact that I don’t find Taylor Lautner attractive (but am VERY attracted to Robert Pattinson) played a larger role than I thought in my initial opinion on Jacob.
