DNA Guarantee by Kodi Rhianna is Black Family coded

The first stanza gives me the vibes of Alphard, Andie, and Sirius deciding to leave and begging for their siblings to follow. The Black family drains everything unique about it's children and makes soilders, and those three didn't want to be. They tried for so long to change (beating a long dead horse) but being apart of the Black family is a life sentence.

The chorus is everyone. All of them are trapped in a cycle until they break it. "Never your baby, just a maybe," they never had kids to have kids. It was always for heirs. The Blood purity, so forth eeee

The middle stanza is Sirius and Regulus and Walburga.

It's between them and Walburga in the first part. Sirius and Regulus reminding Walburga of Alphard and herself - one trapped and lashing out and one desperately fleeing. Its also difficult because of how similar all three are - forced into positions, unhappy, lashing out. I would image that if they interacted as older, Sirius and Walburga still would have issues due to this. Even if she doesn't or didn't hit them with her hand, spells and words do it best.

It's between Regulus and Sirius in the second part. The dogs biting the bone is Sirius messing everything up with Remus and the others. "Daughter bites her words," Regulus not coming out as FmT for years due to fear. "Fight like wolves, then flee like birds," Whenever the brothers fight it's always vicious, pulling at old wounds and cruel - like their family. Then they both realize, fleeing before the other says something. "From the save pack but rivaling herds," the brothers come from the same family, but in the end have vastly different friends.

I also just imagine that when it doesn't get physical, the family does have screaming matches often. Cops would be called, the whole thing. Very early the kids learned they could use their words effectively against each other even if they couldn't against their parents. I imagine that while close, the boys and girls had a battle of shouts at least once a day (then sneak each other treats to make up for it.)

I could also imagine Sirius and Regulus trying to settle into the Potters and realizing how intertwined their family is in them. And also Reg and Sirius have to stomp to the back of the garden to have their arguments - they cannot not have them, because then they get waaaay worse.

Walburga: you are not good enough for my son.

Remus: you’re not good enough for your son.

Walburga: pardon.

Remus: you heard me.

Regulus and Arcturus look ridiculously similar. It's to the point that when Arcturus has passed and regulus's baby weight has shed, sometimes when Orion sees regulus out of the corner of his eye he flinches

They love that remus is a wearwolf.

Euphemia and walburga have tea and go shopping at least 5 times a month, they became friends after prongsfoot.

None of them are hetero.

They basically adopted peter, barty, evan, and pandora bc their home lives suck.

They have tons of bets going around, peter keeps track of them all.

They blend their japanese and indian cultures really well and always try to celebrate together.

When orion finds out about the lupins locking remus up in chains and their general attitude towards his lycanthropy he chews them out to hell and declares that remus is spending all full moons with them, they own a large forest covered in wards so the boys can play safley.

When lily is introduced she feels insecure due to her sister's taunts and her calling lily a wh*re, but they all like her immediately and think shes good for the boys.

Fleamont and Walburga are so bad at cooking that their completely banned from stepping into the kitchen, they don't even have to touch anything for something to go wrong.

Sirius inherited walbugas temper but regulus inherited orions pettiness.

The Blacks have no serious qualms against murder and the potters are loyal to a fault.

The day bellatrix came home after rita betrayed her for a job in the daily prophet to tells lies about the black family and then proceed to break up with her after, bella was in tears and begged the family to forgive her, that day the entire black family swore to make skeeter pay in ways she couldnt even imagine.

The blacks belive in power over blood tourjus pur to them means that their power is always pure and strong thats why they encourage the kids to be as crazy as they want as long as they also act in a way befitting their status and prestige.

The myth about no one being able to name their child after a star/constalation if their not a black comes from people trying to in the early 1900s as a sign of prestige put sadly all these children died befor the age of 3, it actually wasn't because of the blacks and was just a sicknes going around that was particularly harmful to children, but the stigma stayed and none of the blacks had any reason to dispel the rumors.

When ted and andromeda got together the family was weary because he was both a muggleborn and a british wizard so the were concerned he would insult/disrespect them or that he just wasnt worthy of her in general but after 2 months of stalking, scrutiizing and trying to scare him off they realized that despite his heritage he was still an ambitious person who wasnt scared of cutting down people who purposely get in his way and was also very good at talking around and subtlety manipulating people wile also being incredibly kind and also having a strong sense of family loyalty befitting a spouse of The Most Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.

Peter Reguls and Orion spend the most time in the library learning, studying and debating over ancient magics and civilizations, they were onced locked in there without food or water for 2 and a half days and didn't even notice.

Remus likes going in there from time to time but most of the things they talk about confuse him too much so he mostry spends his time reading in the garden while pandora and evan take care of it. Pandora can also study and debate with them but she prefers being in the sun.

Bellatrix and barty get along like a house on fire and when sirius get involved all hell brakes loose.

pandora and peter like to talk about bugs together and sometimes fleamont gets them sample to study.

While no one can see the things pandora sees, ephie is skilled at sensing and seeing magic for short periods of time due to her magic sensitivity, and when pandora is feeling frustrated at the fact no one can see the things she does ephie is always ready to talk her through it. Orion is also good for her during these episodes because of his calm demendor soothing voice, and his relaxing and steady magic

Walburga is like who tf ate the last slice of cake, that was mine, and the cake is like leftovers from someone's wedding and it's actually really good so Walburga wanted a piece for herself and then Sirius immediately blames Regulus because regulus has a history of stealing other people's food and regulus blames him back because Sirius is a foodie who eats more than he should and Sirius is like tf did you just call me fat you little shit and then a fight breaks out and even Walburga is yelling because that was supposed to be her fucking cake, it was literally the only good thing she was looking forwards to all night and it's chaotic, everyones yelling, furniture is being thrown.

Orion, the culprit, is just sipping tea peacefully in some other room.

alphard and cygnus make fun of walburga cuz shes the older sister so strict and perfect that she looks like a robot

black siblings angst to me is sirius knowing she will never be loved by her parents like regulus is, is regulus knowing he will never be as talented and brilliant as sirius, is sirius being disgusted that regulus have the same beliefs as their family while regulus is disgusted that sirius had everything he wanted and she threw everything away, is sirius being able to express her gender as she please when she move on with her new family while regulus doesnt even dare to dream about telling someone he may not feel as a girl, is them fully embracing the hate for each other and yet a small part of them still miss the time where they were to young to hate and used to play together

i absolutely love the idea of walburga and druella being best friends that went to hogwarts in the same year

druella is the popular and beautiful girl that everyone loves, shes charismatic, fun and extremely sociable

walburga is conventionally pretty but people are so intimidated by her that they forget that, shes serious, never seems to smile and doesn't have the patience to (and doesn't even know how) make friends

and yet they work so well

they are super protective of each other, walburga always keeps an eye on anyone who might hurt druella while druella doesn't allow anyone to say bad things about walburga.

druella has thousands of people wanting her attention and yet walburga is always her priority

walburga always says that she hates jokes and "superficial" things but she could spend hours listening to druella talk about the most diverse and meaningless subjects. and druella is the only one that is able to make walburga laugh (which is still a hard task)

theyre also kinda sapphic but they will never realized that

they have to stay apart when the rosiers make druella marry a man from the nott family, far from each other after years of being stuck together at hogwarts. but then this random man dies, and the next husband that druella's family finds is walburgas younger brother that has only 18, while walburga just got married to her own counsin. and theyre glued together again, living in the same mansion, being in the same family and its kinda weird but theyre happy to be close

Regulars Black and Sirius are so Carys and Aled: Sirius left home because of an abusive parent and so did Carys, Aled was trying to get through to his siblings and so did Regulus, and last reason, when the ‘disappointing’ sibling leaves the parent(s) turn on them

For a long time, even after Regulus first started attending Hogwarts and acting cold and heartless, Sirius could view him as nothing but his innocent little brother who cried once when he accidently stepped on a butterfly. For him, he was still little Reggie, who looked up to him and went to curl up next to him in bed whenever he had a nightmare. That's why his world came crushing down when he learned about the Death Eater Mark ("how could you not have fucking known Sirius, EVERYONE knew" Bellatrix had laughed and screamed in his face). He truly couldn't understand how or why his little brother turned into a monster so he just decided to ignore the existence of their shared memories of love all together replacing them with this new horrific human being that he made out Regulus to be

sirius and regulus are eavesdropping on their parents while they’re discussing politics, and are texting each other whatever they hear.

sirius: did she just say that voldy’s going to enforce a marshmallow?

regulus: a martial law, you gormless git.

plot: regulus and sirius are secretly on the facetime with each other.

regulus: mother says that my “night time calls have to stop” she thinks i’m being too disruptive while she and father are trying to sleep.

sirius: aren’t old people supposed to be, i don’t know…hard of hearing? like, what’s up with the spidey sense luv? you tryna sleep or eavesdrop?

regulus: *bursts out laughing, eventually losing balance and falling off his chair*

sirius: *bursts out laughing at regulus, and ends up falling off his bed*

both of them stayed on their floors, staring at each others’ foreheads in the camera frame, wheezing with laughter for about 10 minutes.

plot: sirius is texting remus and james while he’s at a family gathering.

sirius: fuck me i hate it here.

remus: isn’t that lovely.

sirius: feeling h i g h k e y judged by some boomers for my band-tee.

james: well, you would’ve been judged whether you wore it or not.

sirius: BAHAHA FUCK-
