Feel like a lot of people somehow missed the fact Melissa, Gen and Akilah were all collectively trying to isolate and kill Shauna, Tai and Lottie, its just none of them managed to actually go through with it. Van interrupts before Gen can even try, Akilah picks up a rock but can't make herself strike Lottie with it, Melissa gets the furthest but looking in Shauna's eyes as she struggles to breathe she just cant quite finish the job. Effectively the three of them and Mari orcestrated the hunt because they thought the chaos of it would be the best way to isolate and kill the people they see as causing the violence and stopping them from going home. The irony being that this means they instigated the violence this time, and, to be clear, this is all without even knowing about Nat, Van, and Misty's plan with the satellite phone. So they can try to say this was all Shauna and Lottie's doing but it wasn't, not when the others deliberately used what they knew of Shauna and Lottie's tendencies to try and benefit themselves, and isnt that what they've done all along really? Used Shauna and Lottie to assuage their own guilt and complicity in the violence.

i actually think there were two separate teams conspiring in the finale. i don’t think mari, akilah, gen, and melissa were working with van, nat, and misty. not because they didn’t want to, but because neither group knew what the other was up to.

mari, akilah, gen, and melissa seemed like they wanted the hunt to happen so they could use it as a cover to kill shauna and lottie. they’re the only two really keeping them stuck out there. mari told shauna, “you deserve everything that’s coming for you,” and then melissa straight-up tackled her and almost killed her like it was planed. akilah literally went after lottie with a brick. the hunt was an opportunity to get rid of the people standing between them and rescue. meanwhile, van, nat, and misty were working on their own plan, one that just happened to benefit from the chaos of the hunt. they didn’t want the hunt either, but it gave nat cover to escape and call for help.

honestly, if either group had known what the other was doing, the hunt probably wouldn’t have been necessary at all. they could’ve just teamed up and jumped shauna and lottie directly.

I need ALL the JV girls to lose it. Since the mf PILOT Mari has been the one actively imcluding/protecting the JV girls. Mari befriends Akilah before the crash even happens, and in the first two seasons is constantly by her side. She's the one we always see talking to the JV girls. She was the link between both groups at the beginning. She was always there in the background talking to one, or comforting one when times got rough. I require Akilah losing it and the other JVs jumping at this chance. I need them all angry because that was their older sister. I need them to hurt Shauna like she hurt them by taking away the original link to the seniors and the person who loved them the most out there.

i want akilah to be so Furious i want her to beat shauna with her own hands. what do you mean jackie got to be treated as a human in death and shauna got to grieve and then mari is immediately turned to an object a sacrifice a Thing. what do you mean jackie kept her coat and mari’s hair was cut off.

One thing about Shauna and her beef with Mari is that she wants to be respected and worshipped and if she can't have that she want people to fear her. And Mari never did either. Mari never worshipped her nor felt like she had to walk around eggshells around Shauna like everyone else did. She didn't pity her. And she wasn't scared of her. Which is kind of stupid at times, but also really telling. The others saw Shauna as if she was the Terminator, but Mari always saw her as a pathetic teenage girl with a lot of insecurities. Which is how Shauna feels deep down and it drove her mad, having someone whose very presence reminded her of those insecurities. And she becomes leader and and Mari still wasn't afraid of her! She becomes Nat's biggest supporter instead! Nope, she never showed her fear toward Shauna. Not even when she was hunted. She was afraid of dying. Not of Shauna. Mari didn't even give Shauna the pleasure of looking her in the eye when she put the necklace on her. Shauna never had the treat of seeing fear in Mari's eyes. Instead Mari tried to take her out with a knife and then told Shauna off one last time, telling her she deserves everything (bad) that's gonna happen to her.

No respect. No fear. Ever. The only time Shauna could have any control over Mari was after Mari was dead. Which says a lot about Mari as a person.

my new favourite moment of season 3: mari genuinely trying to revive the dead guy by scooping his splattered brains back into his skull while lottie scoops it back out playing with her new blood foundation shade called 'you'll see' from her collection called 'the wilderness is me'.

I am starting to think that the girl hiker will be pit girl for a couple of reasons:

First of all the hunt of pit girl and her butchering feel so emotionless, like even with ben there was some sort of emotion (specifically seen with Nat and Misty) and even if these girls going kookoo I can't see the more sensitive memebers having no reaction (at least not from where we're at now) to pit girl at all, at least not if she's one of their own

Second of all the hikers that found them are specifically bird watchers and if you go back to the pit girl scene in episode one you here the girls making a bunch of u guessed it, bird noises. These sounds also mean the girls are playing with their victim, and if it was the hiker girl taunting her with bird noises seems accurate.

As well I think the pit girl scene is coming sooner then we thought considering Tai and Van talking about how winter is coming soon and how back in season 1 it literally came overnight. Not only that but given it seems they're debating waht to do with the hikers it's possible they settled on letting one go back to get them help while they keep the other hostage to keep them silent on what they walked in on. We also know the girls are capable of holding someone prisoner for a while as seen with ben which once again renforces the hostage thing.

Finally we have the fact that pit girl, as her name indicates, fell into the pit. Now we know Mari one of the two viable candidates for the pit girl allegations obviously knows where it is and though we have never seen gen see it on screen I doubt they never end up revisting the hole later. But you know who wouldn't even know the existence of this pit, a hiker.

obviously I could be super far off but like might as well through my theory into the ring lol

look I know people dislike how unhinged EVERYONE been this season but like am I the only one who a. thinks it's realistic given their character arcs and b. just kinda loves it like the more unhinged the better
