Panic attack. (Pokémon, Goh angst)

Summary: 4 times Goh has had a panic attack. Around the same pokémon; Scorbunny/Raboot/Raboot/Cinderace. And to his surprise, each time it helps him.

(Goh has a panic attack around Scorbunny one time, Raboot two times, and Cinderace one time. He has it around Raboot twice because there are like two phases there, before Raboot gave him the apple, and after.)

First time. (Scorbunny)

”But there's so much to choose from!” whined Ash, looking at the food stands in front of them.

”Well you have to,” said Goh, sighing. ”We can't buy them all.”

They were in the Sinnoh region, in an old stone fortress, one each sides where food stands with delicious sweets. They had money to get from ONE food stand. But Ash couldn't choose.

That boy sure did like sweets.

Not even Pikachu could decide.

”Pika...”

”C'mon Pikachu, let's take a closer look.” said Ash, he took Pikachu in his arms and started walking.

”Pika- Pikachu,”

He walked over to the food stands.

”Welp, that's Ash, he loves food. Pikachu too.” mumbled Goh, giggling slightly.

”Scorbun,”, Scorbunny agreed.

”Brake, wait for me!” called a foreign woman in front of him, she was running after a man, who supposedly was Brake.

’Brake, huh?’ thought Goh. ’Why does that name sound familiar?’

Had he met someone by that name? Brake? The more he thought about it, the more it sounded familiar.

‘Brake, Brake, Brake, Brake,’

”Hmm,”

Suddenly, quite out of nowhere, he remembered the name.

He gasped.

Brake was the name of his old bully.

His main one...

Something settled in his gut, a familiar feeling.

He would have gulped if there now wasn't a lump in his throat

”Scorbun- Scorbun?”, he felt a sudden tug at his pants, as he looked down, he saw that it was Scorbunny.

It shot him a concerned look.

He crouched and picked it up.

”Yes?”

It pulled closer.

”Scorbunny-”

He looked up again, his stomach was beginning to feel queasy.

He blinked, trying to stop the liquid from coming, but it began to form in his eyes anyway.

’No, not here, not now,’

He couldn't have a panic attack in the middle of the street, where anyone could see it.

”No...” mumbled Goh sadly, his voice shaky.

”Scorbunny?”

It looked at it's owner and frowned.

Goh began to walk to a corner, away from the public.

Maybe there he could get it over with, without alerting Scorbunny, he couldn't worry it...

But it seemed Scorbunny had already realized that something was up.

He sat down and held his fire-type pokémon.

The tears collected in his eyes, and as much as he tried to keep it away, one lonely tear escaped his eye and rolled down his cheek.

Scorbunny realized it.

it used it's paw and wiped the tear away.

”I'm fine.”

But now he wasn't as sure.

”Scorbunny-”

It hugged him back.

More tears escaped his eyes.

It wiped his tears again.

”Thanks.”

”Scorbunny!”

He smiled slightly, lucky him that his attacks usually weren't so long.

His stomach recovered, no longer feeling queasy.

(Later)

”Okay, I've made my decision!” said Ash. ”I chose churros! Apparently, their spanish or something!”

”Cool,” said Goh.

He stood up and wiped away any hint of sadness.

”Let's go!”

Scorbunny jumped up on his shoulder as they started walking.

It smiled at him, and he smiled back.

It may not have done much, but it helped.

Panic attack 4. (Pokémon, Goh angst)

Summary; Kay, now it's finally Cinderace's turn- and you know how Cinderace is, well you should. Anyways, they are at a pokémon fighting competition.

Ash cheered for Pikachu as the fight narrator said; ”Pikachu wins”, and Goh joined in on cheering- everyone else started too.

They were in the Sinnoh region, at a pokémon fighting competition. And Ash was going to the finales. Well, there was just one more person left, that had also made it to the finales.

But Ash was surely gonna win that too.

”Cinderace!”

Grookey was asleep on his spot, while he was currently standing. It was tired from watching all the fighting, and the competition had been long.

”Now,” said the narrator. ”Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town against Joshua Walter from Vermilion City!”

The boy that stepped out shocked him- it was that Joshua. The Joshua who gossiped about him, the one who got everyone against him.

But why was he standing on the stadium with a Blastoise looking ready to fight his best friend?

Then suddenly, he felt a way too familiar feeling in his stomach- it was happening again. Around Cinderace.

But maybe- he looked over at Cinderace, that was looking confused at him- nope, he's definitely on to something.

”Cinder- Cinderace,”

He leaned against the wall, and slowly sat down, hugging himself.

Cinderace sat down next to him, knowing what was going on.

”I'm sorry,” he mumbled sadly. ”I'm so selfish... I'm sorry...”

He continued to mumble non understandable apologies.

The fight started on the stadium- but none of them watched. But they hoped that Ash won.

”The boy that Ash is fighting- I know who he is... He's my old bully...” said Goh, answering the question that was probably floating around in Cinderace's mind.

Cinderace rested its head against his shoulder, then wrapping an arm around him.

He tried to control his horrible breathing, that was basically just wheezing.

He coughed, then again. And so on.

The wheezing was stopping the sobbing.

At least, Cinderace was there, and that actually helped.

The narrator interrupted him:

”Blastoise is unable to battle,” he said. ”And the win goes to Ash Ketchum and Pikachu!”

Professor Cerise, Ren and Chrysa, along with Chloe and Yamper.

They were finally at home.

They were bombarding them with tons of questions.

And Ash was happy to answer all of them. While, he wasn't listening.

But the last one caught his attention.

”Who was the final competitor?” asked Ren.

Ash frowned, thinking for a second...

”Oh! His name was Joshua something... And yeah, he was from Vermilion City! Do any of you know of a Joshua? Maybe you do, Chloe? He seemed around our age...”

Ash went back to thinking...

”Walter! His last name was Walter! And he had a Blastoise.” said Ash, smiling.

That seemed to give Chloe a flashback.

”Joshua Walter?” she asked, and Ash nodded, not knowing the seriousness. ”Oh, Goh-”

Nobody except Chloe herself and Goh knew why she went and hugged Goh seconds later.

And they were really confused.

She patted his back, then pulled him in closer.

”Chloe, Goh?” said Professor Cerise, confused at the empathy Chloe seemed to show to Goh. ”Do you know this Joshua Walter boy?”

Chloe nodded, but not answering.

Goh sniffled loudly, which got Ash to join the hug.

They didn't bombard him with questions, Ash just hugged him in silence.

Okay, so, I feel like Camilo started losing his gift earlier than we saw in the movie, like around the time Luisa did. Because, hear me out, my theory is that Luisa was the first to lose her gift because she used it the most, she was one of the most hardworking Madrigals. And that's why, and, my proof? Well, listen to Surface pressure, all about how she had too much on her shoulders, how she worked too much. And maybe the magic just wanted to tell her to take a break in some sort of way??

And, with that theory settled, your probably wondering, what does this have to do with Camilo?

Well, simple, he's a shapeshifter, so people obviously ask him to shapeshift, and he's a Madrigal, so who is he to say no? And all the Madrigals work hard, so he does too. And, I got proof for that he works hard:

He's the town babysitter, we all saw it when he helped that mother during The family Madrigal, he seemed experienced, no? And that mother just gave her baby to him, with no question or anything. That tells us that he's the town babysitter, and he had to get that title somewhere. From working! And he's probably been babysitting for ten years, so he definitely took care of the kids we saw in the movie, and you babysit little kids too. Who better than the person who babysitted them as babies? Who also was the main babysitter in town? If I was a parent, then I would definitely go for that babysitter. I would want the best for my kids.

And, if I were a kid there, I'd definitely want him to shapeshift, into my mother, or me! So, he definitely shapeshifted a lot.

And, the reason Camilo eats so much is because of his gift, it takes energy to shapeshift, energy that he gets from eating and sleeping. And, I think we all understand that he probably takes extras after and maybe during they were eating, and that he takes midnight snacks, and it's probably canon. How much food he eats depends on how much he shapeshifts. So, he obviously shapeshifts a lot.

And, just later in The family Madrigal, Mirabel says My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today. I feel like that was literal, he won't stop, he wants everybody to be happy. That's why he was so goddamm funny in the movie, he tried to make everybody happy, he wants them to smile and laugh. And what better way to do that then to shapeshift? He can make funny faces with his gift. I don't know about you, but I would think that was funny!

And people probably ask him to turn into them or someone else to help, like Abuela said when they were getting ready for Antonio's ceremony. "Camilo, we need another José.", I feel like the others say that too, just replacing José with the name of the person they need him to turn into.

So, back to what I was saying, he works almost just the same amount that Luisa does, another kind of way. And he seems like he's really dedicated to helping. Like Luisa is.

He fills this role in the town, according to Steph Anya, LMFT, he's the distractor, he stops family tension from rising, it's a useful role to have in a family, but that person doesn't have experience with being serious, since that person is always joking, never serious, which we can see him doing in the movie, he's like the town jokester. And, how would he defuse tension? By shapeshifting. So, that again, proves that he shapeshifts a lot.

And, what if he shapeshifts in his sleep? People have kinda covered it, does that mean he wakes up strained? Because in pretty much every Camilo Angst story, there is some issue with his gift, like he's tired, or always hungry, and he strains when shapeshifting too much. And I, personally, believe that it's true, shapeshifting must have an affect on him, every gift has a downside, like the headcanon that Bruno has migraines because he has accidental visions. I mean, isn't there just something with that headcanon that makes it so you want it to be canon?

But, anyways, both Luisa and Camilo work really hard.

And, since he's so nice and funny, doesn't it just seem like people would turn to him if they were upset? They're placing their burdens on him, like they do with Luisa.

Okay, you don't need to agree with my theory, it's pretty crappy. Isn't it?
