Okay, so, I feel like Camilo started losing his gift earlier than we saw in the movie, like around the time Luisa did. Because, hear me out, my theory is that Luisa was the first to lose her gift because she used it the most, she was one of the most hardworking Madrigals. And that's why, and, my proof? Well, listen to Surface pressure, all about how she had too much on her shoulders, how she worked too much. And maybe the magic just wanted to tell her to take a break in some sort of way??
And, with that theory settled, your probably wondering, what does this have to do with Camilo?
Well, simple, he's a shapeshifter, so people obviously ask him to shapeshift, and he's a Madrigal, so who is he to say no? And all the Madrigals work hard, so he does too. And, I got proof for that he works hard:
He's the town babysitter, we all saw it when he helped that mother during The family Madrigal, he seemed experienced, no? And that mother just gave her baby to him, with no question or anything. That tells us that he's the town babysitter, and he had to get that title somewhere. From working! And he's probably been babysitting for ten years, so he definitely took care of the kids we saw in the movie, and you babysit little kids too. Who better than the person who babysitted them as babies? Who also was the main babysitter in town? If I was a parent, then I would definitely go for that babysitter. I would want the best for my kids.
And, if I were a kid there, I'd definitely want him to shapeshift, into my mother, or me! So, he definitely shapeshifted a lot.
And, the reason Camilo eats so much is because of his gift, it takes energy to shapeshift, energy that he gets from eating and sleeping. And, I think we all understand that he probably takes extras after and maybe during they were eating, and that he takes midnight snacks, and it's probably canon. How much food he eats depends on how much he shapeshifts. So, he obviously shapeshifts a lot.
And, just later in The family Madrigal, Mirabel says My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today. I feel like that was literal, he won't stop, he wants everybody to be happy. That's why he was so goddamm funny in the movie, he tried to make everybody happy, he wants them to smile and laugh. And what better way to do that then to shapeshift? He can make funny faces with his gift. I don't know about you, but I would think that was funny!
And people probably ask him to turn into them or someone else to help, like Abuela said when they were getting ready for Antonio's ceremony. "Camilo, we need another José.", I feel like the others say that too, just replacing José with the name of the person they need him to turn into.
So, back to what I was saying, he works almost just the same amount that Luisa does, another kind of way. And he seems like he's really dedicated to helping. Like Luisa is.
He fills this role in the town, according to Steph Anya, LMFT, he's the distractor, he stops family tension from rising, it's a useful role to have in a family, but that person doesn't have experience with being serious, since that person is always joking, never serious, which we can see him doing in the movie, he's like the town jokester. And, how would he defuse tension? By shapeshifting. So, that again, proves that he shapeshifts a lot.
And, what if he shapeshifts in his sleep? People have kinda covered it, does that mean he wakes up strained? Because in pretty much every Camilo Angst story, there is some issue with his gift, like he's tired, or always hungry, and he strains when shapeshifting too much. And I, personally, believe that it's true, shapeshifting must have an affect on him, every gift has a downside, like the headcanon that Bruno has migraines because he has accidental visions. I mean, isn't there just something with that headcanon that makes it so you want it to be canon?
But, anyways, both Luisa and Camilo work really hard.
And, since he's so nice and funny, doesn't it just seem like people would turn to him if they were upset? They're placing their burdens on him, like they do with Luisa.
Okay, you don't need to agree with my theory, it's pretty crappy. Isn't it?
This really helped with my fanfiction. So, to help you, and myself in the future, I reblogged it.

So how do the dorms accommodate the ships?
OK so 5th floor first: Todomomo!
Momo is the first to react to seeing Shoto’s room
4th floor: Kirimina and Kacchako! (also Kiribaku)
Mina gets to react dramatically to Kirishima’s (Uraraka reacts to everyone’s and we don’t see Bakugo’s so no word on those two).
3rd floor: Tojiro and Kamijiro
Kaminari reacts to Jiro’s and she critiques his, and Ojiro to Toru’s.
2nd floor: …
I think Deku is specifically stuck on the 2nd floor with characters he isn’t shipped with to avoid making the shipping pattern too clear. Keep up the mystery of who Deku will end up with, you know? (Uraraka does react to his room but she reacts to everyone’s, so while that’s probably the pattern, it’s not made clear).

So does this mean things? Probably not but it’s still fun.
This is part 2 to a previous pokemon story I have written. Part 1 is found here:

And, just as with the first part, this idea came from a particular tumblingdowntheway2019, so any credit should go to them! And with all that done, let's get into it!
Ever since the Bellace Incident- which they had taken to calling it- Goh had been fine mentally. And Cinderace was, too, physically; quickly it was starting to walk properly again and soon after that acting just like always.
Doctor Cerise had put him in therapy following the incident and, talking to Miss Halloway, he realized he couldn't be blamed for what a wild Pokemon did. It was stupid, really. (His words, not hers.)
Goh was fine, in short.
Until that day's news report, that is:
As he and Ash- Drizzile, Cinderace and Pikachu, too, by default- stepped into the lab room that morning, both already dressed in their regular clothes, everybody gave him worried glances as they sat down to watch the news.
Chloe muttered a shaky ’good morning’ but Goh barely noticed as his attention turned to the news, where a concerned news reporter was in front of a Thievul, purple in the face, and a crying pokemon trainer next to it. (a ’Cinder-Cinderace!’ came from Cinderace as Goh's face paled.)
”Today a pokemon trainer and their pokemon were ambushed on their way to the grocery store! By a pokemon, according to the witnesses!” and Goh found himself shaking, ”This pokemon poisoned the Thievul and has an appearance that doesn't match with any other! The police will be putting up a poster shortly.”
Their eyes all turned to him, sympathy clear.
”Just a coincidence?” he said, without really believing it himself.
Goh had hoped, from deep inside himself, that it was a coincidence. That it was instead another new Pokemon, with a poison move, and not Bellace.
But then he saw the poster of the pokemon and it was, undoubtedly, Bellace.
Goh had cried himself to sleep that night.
The next day, there was another news report.
”Overnight, some teenagers and their pokemon were ambushed by the same pokemon as yesterday! We have no more information at this time but the symptoms of the four poisoned pokemon match with the Thievul!”
Goh had refused to meet any of their eyes, even Cinderace's.
Thankfully, the next news report came a week later- but Goh did not forget and neither, he doubted, did the others- ”Right now we are at the hospital because another Pokemon got poisoned by the new Pokemon!” the news reporter said, ”And the pokemon trainer- the sole witness- said it heard it call ’Bellace’. Police have put out an official poster now, with a warning to only go out if you really need to.”
Goh was inconsolable for days, refusing to look at reason; Ash had tried to comfort him, even Pikachu but he didn't listen. Chloe had tried, too, but she gave up as it seemed he hadn't even heard her. He hadn't, not really.
Only Cinderace hadn't tried to comfort him as it was very upset itself.
Cynthia has had enough; for days now there has been reports of a new Pokemon, apparently called Bellace, which has been attacking other pokemon. And despite that this was solely happening in Vermillion City, seemingly all the citizens of Japan were growing restless, scared they one day would be attacked.
She was sick of it.
Therefore she had booked a meeting with Doctor Cerise (a pokemon professor who lived in Vermillion City) in hope he had certain knowledge she could use of.
”Well hello, Cynthia,” he said, grinning, ”It's nice to meet you. I read from your email you wanted to talk about the recent news reports? About the pokemon Bellace?”
She nodded, ”Yes, I've seen people concerned everywhere and I want to ease their worries,” and Doctor Cerise nodded approvingly, ”What information do you have?”
”One of my research fellows had an encounter with Bellace,” replied Doctor Cerise, ”before the news reports about it started. You could try and ask him about it, though I warn you it's still a tough spot for him; his first pokemon almost died then and these news reports have been stressing him.”
Cynthia smiled- it wasn't often a pokemon professor cared about their research fellows and how they were feeling after all- and said, ”Yes, that should work. Hopefully he tells me something we could use. Thank you, where is he then?”
”He's probably in the Pokemon Park, I believe it's feeding time,” Doctor Cerise replied, ”I'll show you there.”
When they arrived, however, there was no sign of Goh (the research fellow she had guessed it was); only Ash, who was indeed feeding the pokemon. Doctor Cerise had talked to the boy, asking of Goh's whereabouts, and Ash told them that Goh was lying in their bedroom. As apparently, he had been in no fit state to go out, Ash presuming it had something to do with Bellace.
Once entering the small room- really it had no size for even a double bed- and there she saw Goh, lying on the top bunk, staring at the wall opposite him as if he had no soul. Quite weird, she thought.
”Goh,” said Doctor Cerise, carefully, ”Cynthia is here. She has questions about the Bellace Incident.”
Goh- as if someone had flicked a switch in him- sat up directly and hence, bumped his head on the ceiling, to which he groaned out in pain; ”I'd be happy to!” he said, after having climbed down, ”What do you want to know?”
Soon they were sitting on a bence in the pokemon park, where she was interviewing him, asking every question she could think of.
”I found Bellace in an abandoned house, kind of haunted,” Goh quickly told her, ”It's probably still residing there. And I remember it was always upstairs when I came... Those two times... Recently I've started thinking that, maybe, it was protecting something. That we were invading its territory, maybe, but maybe I'm just trying to excuse what it did...”
She nodded in understanding ( she was trying to hold Goh's tears at bay) and said, ”Maybe. I'll go there later. But right now I'm most interested in how Cinderace survived; you said it was poisoned but I've seen Cinderace and it seems well and in top shape.”
”Oh, Chloe- my friend- has an Eevee and it healed it,” said Goh and, upon seeing her shocked face, added, ”Nurse Joy said it because it had a dominant Sylveon gene, I think, so maybe only Heal Pulse can cure Bellace's curse? Or just that specific Eevee?”
So fairy types were effective against Bellace then...
Cynthia knew what she had to do now; she would go to that haunted house and try to find Bellace, hopefully catching the Pokemon and preferably managing to get all her pokemons out not poisoned. Fortunately, Garchomp was a ground-type.
”I know what I have to do,” she announced, breaking the silence, ”I am going to fight Bellace myself.”
At this, Goh stood up quickly, ”You can't! Bellace is powerful, i-it could kill Garchomp! I know it's a ground-type and that's super effective against poison but Bellace isn't like regular pokemon! We don't know if it'll work!” though, upon realizing nothing he could say would change her mind- she had to do this, after all, for the safety of everyone- his eyes quickly glazed over with tears, ”Please,” he choked out, ”Bellace has already done enough damage to me, I don't want it to do anything to you or Garchomp! It isn't like regular pokemon, it's okay with hurting us humans. That's how it got Cinderace!”
He sat down again in defeat, quickly growing helpless to his own sobs; and there he sat, continuously wiping his own tears as he sniffled and made gulping noises. It was such a sad scene that should never come from a kid, no exceptions.
”Cinder-Cinderace,” called a Cinderace, presumably Goh's. The one that almost died, her mind supplied, ”Cinderace!”
Goh let out a particularly loud sob as he pulled it in, hugging the pokemon tightly, ”Acey,” he choked, ”S-sorry. Shit. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, shit, I'm sorry.”
Just as Goh countinued spewing apology after apology, a worried voice called, ”Goh!” and Ash ran forward, panting as he placed a hand on the crying boy's shoulder, Pikachu running down across his arm, ”What's wrong? Is it Bellace?” he then turned to her, and added, hotly, ”What did you do?!”
”Don't get mad at me!” she yelled back, suddenly feeling the need to defend herself, ”I have to fight Bellace, that might be the only way it's stopped! This could save the whole of Japan!”
Ash was now turned completely to her, while Pikachu rested on the shoulder of a crying Goh; ”All by yourself?! That's how Cinderace almost died, you know, by Goh being by himself! You'll need back-up! Garchomp isn't enough!” Pikachu called out ’Pikachu!’ in agreement, ”At least take me with you!”
”I will not!” she said, now trying to calm herself down. No need to yell at the kid, she reminded herself, ”What if Pikachu is poisoned? I can't risk that.”
Ash protested- of course- and they continued to argue until, a voice determined yet held shakiness to it, said, ”I'll go with you!” and Goh was now standing up, to the shock of everyone, ”I'm the only one who's faced Bellace before! While you don't even know where the haunted house is! You need me! And Ash, and Chloe too!”
”Absolutely not!” she called out in shock, ”You're kids; I'm not sending you on anything that could end up harming your pokemon!” she turned to Cinderace and added, ”And especially not you, Cinderace. It's already been hurt by Bellace. I can't risk that happening again.”
Cinderace called out ”Cinderace,” sadly.
Goh wiped his tears and determinedly said, ”Then why risk Garchomp by being stubborn? You need us, we're the only ones who's actually faced Bellace! We know its moves!”
”Yeah!” said Ash, joining in as Pikachu made a noise of agreement, ”You can't just go off all on your own! We're the only ones who've fought against Bellace! And won!” Goh gave a look that said he wouldn't call it ’won’, ”So you'll need our help! We can do it!”
No you can't, she thought, you're just kids.
She, eventually, had no choice but to let them (she didn't have all day, after all); so, begrudgingly, she had agreed to get the Chloe girl along with the Eevee and they took a taxi to the haunted house.
It looked scary, as expected of a haunted house; with its sloping, breaking roof; its broken, run-down windows with more holes than it had a full pane; its door which seemed unable to close; and a large balcony that would surely fall down soon. Why was it still up, she wondered?
With her was; Goh, of course; Ash; the girl with a ponytail named Chloe; Goh's Cinderace; Goh's shy, almost-depressed looking Drizzile; Goh's Misdrevous, as its moves would be effective; Ash's determined Pikachu; and the Eevee, which seemed very determined; and of course Garchomp.
Goh, standing next to her, was shaking and muttered, ”It- it looks just as always...”
Cynthia sighed, ”If you can't do this,” she started off, ”then you don't have to. It can be hard to face trauma.”
I understand, she thought but didn't say it.
Goh, just as she had expected, shook his head, a determined look on his face though hiding behind it was a look of doubt and fear. He didn't want to do this- she could tell- but he was doing it anyway.
”I can do it,” but he couldn't.
Did she really have to force this upon him? She didn't want to. It seemed vile, almost, to do that. But what choice did she have? He would keep insisting.
It was silent for a while until she said; ”Well then,” their eyes turned to her, waiting for instructions, but for once she did not feel important, ”Let's go inside. We should make as much ruckus we can, maybe it'll lure Bellace down. Then we should overwhelm it and all attack it once. It won't know who to hit. And if one of us are poisoned, Eevee can heal them, right?”
Eevee called out ”Eevee!” happily which she chose to take as a yes.
”Alright,” she said, ”Let's do this!”
She hoped the chirpiness in her tone would hype them up- and with that, encourage them- but it seemed she had underestimated their worry the uncertainty that would come with that.
It was not going well.
They had gone into the house, made a ruckus- Ash loudly talking about whatever; Goh outright yelling nothing; and Chloe was, loudly, telling them to lower it down while nodding; and all the pokemon loudly calling out- which did lead down a long, thin pokemon with horns spiraled with black and purple. Bellace, based on a shaking Cinderace's ’Cin-Cinderace’ and Goh's sob.
It called ”Bell-Bellace!” it called and managed to sound irritated.
She decided to start, in hope to catch it off-guard; ”Garchomp, use Dragon Rush!”
And Garchomp jumped up, spinning in the air as she powered up, the blue aura all around her. And after it was done, she yelled ”Now use Draco Meteor!” as Ash got Pikachu to use Quick Attack.
Goh, on the other hand, seemed too scared to use any pokemon despite that she and Ash had already started (Bellace proving to be a tough opponent) while the Chloe girl seemed quite inexperienced. Though perhaps she would grow confidence, watching them fight. Perhaps Goh would, too!
She and Ash fought in tandem; Garchomp attacking then Pikachu, all in hopes to overthrow Bellace.
But the pokemon seemed to be going strong and Cynthia assesed it to have Quick Attack, Confuse Ray (after a minor incident with Pikachu, which was solved quickly), a new move which consisted of a purple aura shooting out of its horn, and then the poisoning which she has not yet seen. Perhaps if Goh could chime in and get Misdrevous to use Confuse Ray on Bellace...
But it seemed very unfair to push the boy as he was evidently very scared to be face-to-face with the pokemon that had almost caused the death of his first pokemon (which he, of course, had a close relationship with.) And what would that prove of her, if she did that?
But the thing was that she had a plan, which could be a success if Misdrevous used Confuse Ray... Yes, what did she do? That was the question; push Goh to get Misdrevous to use Confuse Ray? (which could damage him in a completely different way) or wait it out (which could, if too long, cause damage to the others.)
The first option was obviously the right one yet she was reluctant, as pushing him could lead him to not help anyways!
”Goh!” (it seemed Ash was not that considerate) ”Help us! Get Misdrevous to use Confuse Ray!”
It was as if Goh had woken from a trance- though it was fully in his thoughts as if the fear had frozen him in a way- but then he flinched, his eyes still firmly stuck on Bellace for a while. Then, tears glazed in his eyes, he yelled ”I can't!”
And, ignoring the eyes of everyone of them, he ran outside.
It was, as the saying said, the straw that broke the Numel's back (as the famous story- told to every kid as a bedtime story- said.)
Cynthia ran after him, ignoring the calls of Chloe and Ash (of begging him to come back, probably) and out there was Goh, sitting and shaking on the ground. He looked as if he didn't really know where he was.
”Goh,” she said, trying not to sound stressed but failing miserably, ”I know you're upset and-”
A BANG interrupted her and upon both of them running to the window, they saw something they definitely did not want to see; Pikachu and Eevee, lying on the ground with beat expressions on their face; Ash and the Chloe Girl, holding their defeated Pokemon; and Bellace over them, standing proudly as if daring them to challenge it.
Had Eevee and Pikachu been poisoned, she wondered? Could the Eevee even heal itself, if they were? Or Pikachu?
Goh let out a loud sob, ”This is all my fault!” he cried, dropping himself onto the ground, she bet, ”I'm the reason Pikachu and Eevee are hurt! Because I thought, stupidly, that I could handle it. That I could handle seeing Bellace again. But I can't. I really can't!”
She didn't really have a choice but to tell him, did she?
She sighed, trying to delay it as much as she could (it wasn't a fun story at all); ”Goh, when I was 8 my grandmother had a Snorlax- to research why they slept so much- and I absolutely loved that Snorlax. I used to sleep on its stomach and once it protected me from a group of Raticates. We were so very close, you know,” she said, refusing to look at him for the next part, ”But then a new Pokemon was discovered and Grandmother got it; it was a Seviper. And it poisoned Snorlax, with a new move. It died.”
She tried not to sob. (It was still a rough subject.)
”I'm sorry,” Goh said.
She nodded in response, ”It was hard. I was... inconsolable for weeks, I've never cried that much in my life. When Sepivers started to grow in population, I was terrified another one of my pokemon would be hurt. Even today, I don't have a Sepiver and I fear fighting one,” she said and Goh moved closer, ”Snorlax and I were very close, like you're close with Cinderace. That's why I was hesitant to let you join this; I don't want you to lose Cinderace like I lost Snorlax. I want to make sure of that, you understand?”
”Yeah, yeah I do,” said Goh, sniffling now, ”I've always been scared ever since, you know, that Bellace would come back and finish the job. Of killing Cinderace and- well, I just don't know what to do with it all. I literally went to a therapist yet I'm still scared. And upset. And worried. I shouldn't be but she never fixed me. Or not fixed me but she never fixed how I feel and that's what I'd like,” he looked up then, determination clear in his eyes, ”I need to fight Bellace.”
She nodded excitedly and responded quickly, ”Yes! You do! And you can, I'm sure of it! This is your right, Goh!”
He ran inside immediately without a response and she followed him, just in time to hear him call ”Misdrevous, use Confuse Ray!”
Bellace, having let its guard down, was hit and stood there confused for a bit. While it was, Goh ordered ”Now use Hex!”
And Misdrevous, seeming quite determined, did so. Bellace, being stuck in the trance left from Confuse Ray, could not duck and was hit straight in the chest. And this, it seemed, was the only damage having been done; Bellace now had scratches, a feat neither she or Ash had been able to achieve, and had now woken up from its trance.
Bellace, angry now, performed a new move, one not offensive for once (showing Goh had gotten under its skin); it started dancing, spinning around while it hit the floor with its hooves, and purple aura- clearly its signature color, just as with many poison pokemon- started surrounding it and Bellace seemed to get new energy.
This was a power-up move, then.
”Mis-misdrevous!” called Misdrevous, seemingly panicking just as they were.
Goh was sweating- she could see it, though he tried to wipe it away- and yelled ”No reason to panic!” even though he himself was, ”Use Psybeam now!”
”Garchomp, use Earthquake!”
The ground shook beneath Bellace- clearly catching the pokemon off guard- and it screeched; a loud, piercing sort of screech and when Garchomp kneeled, she realized it was a move. Another new one!
But before she could counteract this at all, Goh did it for her (seemingly without really thinking); ”Misdrevous, use Confuse Ray again! And Garchomp, use Dragon Claw!” he yelled and the pokemon obliged but when he realized- ”Sorry, Cynthia! I wasn't thinking!”
It was, of course, considered an offense to instruct another's pokemon what to do in a Pokemon battle.
”It's okay Goh!” she yelled back as she watched Misdrevous use Confuse Ray. Bellace was hit and stood there, once again confused. This meant that it could not duck Garchomp's Dragon Claw and damage was made.
It called ”Be-Bellace!” and then the pokemon ran towards Garchomp, using Quick Attack, but before it could hit-
”Drizzile, use Mud Shot!” yelled the voice of one particular Ash Ketchum and Bellace was shot with a multitude of mud, coming from the depressed-looking Drizzile, which was now looking very determined.
Bellace, now with scratches all over its long body and continuous calls of ’Bellace’, looked as if it could be finished off with just a few more moves.
And it seemed as if Bellace knew this itself, as it looked around the room- probably deciding which one of them to attack and they all braced themselves- and when it had decided, it summoned the purple aura out of its horn again and shot it towards-
Cinderace! (The pokemon she had forgotten was currently present, if honest.)
It called ’Cin-Cinderace!’ as it ducked, leaving Drizzile in position to be hit which, upon Goh's command of- ”Drizzile, use Reflect now!”- reflected the move, leaving Bellace feeling rather hopeless, judging by the look in its eyes, and Goh yelled, ”Good job Drizzile!” as the two, human and pokemon, high-fived.
For a brief second she felt envious of their close friendship.
All three of them were about to use a move- her, personally; Dragon Claw- but the command of; ”Eevee, use Sand Attack!” coming from one Chloe Cerise, who was properly joining the battle at last!
”Good job, Chloe!” Goh called out cheerfully, ”Way to go! Now, Drizz-” he was about to call out the name of his water Pokemon before Cinderace stepped closer to its trainer and called out ’Cin-Cinder-Cinderace! Cinderace!’ ”Oh, you wanna do the final blow, Acey? Well okay then; Cinderace, use Agility!”
And this move was, just as predicted, the final move; as, upon getting hit, Bellace fell to the ground, looking completely and utterly defeated complete with its multiple scratches. And it seemed that Goh wasn't even thinking- but he probably was. Goh was very intelligent, as she'd come to learn- as he took a Pokéball from his pocket and, while yelling out ”Pokéball, go!” threw it at the defeated Pokemon, which was too tired for an attempt to duck.
It was very silent indeed as they waited in uncomfortable silence, the only noise being the moving of the Pokéball, until they heard a PING.
”Today we are with Goh- who refused to give out his last name, for some reason- Ash Ketchum, Chloe Cerise, and Sinnoh Champion Cynthia, the ones who defeated the town's torturer, pokemon Bellace!” the news reporter said cheerfully into the microphone, her grin quite real, ”Yes, you heard me right! Yesterday, these people and of course their pokemon,” the camera shifted to the pokemon, ”defeated Bellace, the pokemon that has been poisoning multiple others!”
The group nodded to the camera nervously except Cynthia (who had of course been on camera multiple times and was used to it) and the news reporter continued, ”I've heard there is a story behind this, too! Would you care to tell me, Goh?”
”Oh, uh,” the young boy said awkwardly into the microphone as it was practically shoved into his face, ”Around a year ago, I walked into a haunted house with uh, my pokemon- Cinderace-” he was off camera for a while as he got the Cinderace to stand next to him, ”and this is where Bellace was living. With a few pokemon it was protecting, as we later found out. I fought with Bellace, to try and catch it, but it poisoned Cinderace here. It-it almost di-died and I had to go back to beg B-Bellace to heal it. It wouldn't. Until my friend Chloe's pokemon, Eevee, healed it!”
The news reporter took back the microphone- much, visibly, to the young boy's relief- and added; ”And that Eevee was at the hospital earlier today, healing the other attacked pokemon! Round of applause, please! So yes, we are free of its torture and can sleep easier at night! I know I will!” but she then shoved the microphone back into his face, much to the boy's chagrin, ”Tell me, Goh; what has happened to Bellace? Please tell the audience!”
Despite that the word ’audience’ clearly added to his nerves, he replied, ”I have caught it and sent it to the police, where they will be watching over Bellace and making sure it does no more harm to me- God knows it’s done enough-” he muttered that part to himself, ”or anybody else. And the pokemon it was protecting, I have caught too, to take care of personally at Cerise Park.”
”Oh, that is even more amazing!” the News Reporter said, almost jumping up and down now, ”Thank you, truly, for stopping Bellace! Many of us are very thankful for you!” she then added; ”Do you have anything you would like to say, Goh? You, or your pokemon? Or anybody else, for that matter?”
Everybody shook their heads except the young boy, who had to take the microphone from the woman- because of her not seeing his nod- and said, ”Yeah, I do,” he took a deep breath, looking down and when he looked up again there was a sad smile present, ”I'm really glad this whole situation is over.”
So, as anyone might, I have stumbled across people talking about Bakugou's breakdown- I don't really know what to call it, but during his fight with Deku and he bursts into tears, admitting he blamed himself from All Might retiring and for being kidnapped- and saying he seemed to have symptoms of PTSD.
Personally, I don't have anything against this like I did with 'Kaminari has ADHD'- I actually find it rather interesting- so with this I'm taking the 'I don't know if he does but it'd be interesting I guess' way to do this. I'm either trying to disprove or prove with this, depends.
So as you might guess, this is going unedited; I will not change what I wrote here once I have the answer. Let's start then, shall we?
Causes
So if you're wondering why I'm choosing to talk about causes for PTSD it is because I want to see if Bakugou has reasons to have PTSD. Has he been through something traumatic enough? (Kamino and/or The Sludge Villain Incident.)
According to the article I'm reading (Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)- Symptoms and causes: Mayo Clinic) PTSD develops when you either go through, seen or learnt about an event involving death or threats to it, serious injury (presumably to either oneself or others) or sexual assault.
Now does Bakugou check any of these boxes?
Death or threatened deaths? Well with the Sludge Villain Incident; no. With Kamino; nobody died (as far as I remember) but somebody certainly could have. I believe that falls under threatened death, then?
Serious Injury? Well, Katsuki didn't go to the hospital with neither of those incidents, as far as we're aware. I believe he probably did for Kamino, at least but once again, we can't know.
Sexual assault? No.
Let's go to risk factors now:
•Have severe or long-lasting traumatic experiences.
I would count getting kidnapped and getting trapped in a person made of sludge that was set on stealing his quirk (and breath) as a traumatic experience.
•Were physically injured during the traumatic event.
Not as far as we know but probably as I have already covered.
•Have been exposed to other trauma earlier in life, such as childhood abuse.
No (as far as we know.)
•Have a job that exposes you to traumatic events, such as being in the military or being a first responder.
Does being a hero in training and going through, like, two wars count?
•Have other mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression.
Not as far as we know. But anxiety may be possible, have you seen how he worries?
•Drink too much or misuse drugs.
No.
•Do not have a good support system of family and friends.
Well considering he has a mom who's okay with blaming him for being kidnapped (I will probably make a post about how problematic that is another time) and a dad who doesn't really seem to do a lot, I wouldn't really say he has a good support system. But maybe Kirishima, Deku, the rest of class 1-A, (maybe his old middle school friends) would be a good support system for him?
•Have blood relatives with mental health problems, including PTSD or depression.
Not what we know of.
I've searched up if you could get PTSD from kidnapping and, just as I expected, the answer was: 'Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can occur after you have been through a traumatic event, such as a kidnapping.'
Yes, in short words, getting kidnapped could realistically cause PTSD to develop. So; Could the events of Kamino lead him to developing PTSD? Yes, check.
And while I don't know what the Sludge Villain Incident could classify as- a hostage situation? Attempted murder? (Bakuogu was stopped from breathing, after all) Something else?- but presumably it could be traumatic, even though we don't know if it was for Bakugou. So; Could the events of the Sludge Villain Incident lead him to developing PTSD? Probably, maybe.
Now that we've covered if he has the reason; yes. We can move onto if he has the symptoms!
Symptoms
So in the article it says: '
Post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms may start within the first three months after a traumatic event. But sometimes symptoms may not appear until years after the event. These symptoms last more than one month and cause major problems in social or work situations and how well you get along with others. They also can affect your ability to do your usual daily tasks.
Generally, PTSD symptoms are grouped into four types: intrusive memories, avoidance, negative changes in thinking and mood, and changes in physical and emotional reactions. Symptoms can vary over time or vary from person to person.'
Is this important to know? Maybe.
Symptoms of intrusive memories may include:
•Unwanted, distressing memories of a traumatic event that come back over and over again.
Based on his line ”I can't get it out of my head! It's like it's constantly playing on loop!” then yes, he has been experiencing this.
•Reliving a traumatic event as if it were happening again, also known as flashbacks.
Yeah, once again based on the line I previously quoted.
•Upsetting dreams or nightmares about a traumatic event.
Not as far as we know but probably.
•Severe emotional distress or physical reactions to something that reminds you of a traumatic event.
Well, would his whole fight with Deku count? Because didn't he fight with Deku because he couldn't stop blaming himself and thinking about Kamino? I'd say he was in severe emotional distress and was reacting rather physically. And it's not just that; when Monoma mentioned both the Sludge Villain Incident and Kamino, he reacted physically.
So far, he's checked three of the boxes (I, of course, don't count the probably with him having nightmares)
Avoidance
Symptoms of avoidance may include:
•Trying not to think or talk about a traumatic event.
Well, he definitely was trying not to think about it (or talk about it) considering he said ”I can't get it out of my head! It's like it's constantly playing on loop! So what the hell am I supposed to do?!” so clearly he was doing everything not to think about it. I count it.
•Staying away from places, activities or people that remind you of a traumatic event.
With Kamino, I don't think we've seen it. But dropping Kamino for a second and instead talking about the Sludge Villain Incident; many think the reason his UA uniform is so baggy (he probably ordered it double his size or something) is because he tries not to remember the Sludge Villain and how stuck he was then. There is strong proof of this because his middle school uniform was his size so he hasn't just always liked to dress like that. There is strong proof that he checks this proof, though nothing confirmed, I don't think.
He checks maybe both of these boxes (still not sure on the last one.)
Negative changes in thinking and mood
Symptoms of negative changes in thinking and mood may include:
•Negative thoughts about yourself, other people or the world.
Yes, he thought being kidnapped was his own fault for ’being weak.’
•Ongoing negative emotions of fear, blame, guilt, anger or shame.
Yes.
•Memory problems, including not remembering important aspects of a traumatic event.
Oh I think his problem is remembering too much of it. No.
•Feeling detached from family and friends.
We haven't seen it, I don't think.
•Not being interested in activities you once enjoyed.
We haven't seen it.
•Having a hard time feeling positive emotions.
He's always struggled with this so that's not because of Kamino or the Sludge Villain Incident.
•Feeling emotionally numb.
Definitely not.
He checks 2- maybe 3- of these boxes.
Changes in physical and emotional reactions
Symptoms of changes in physical and emotional reactions, also called arousal symptoms, may include:
•Being easily startled or frightened.
We haven't seen it.
•Always being on guard for danger.
I don't remember a specific instance but yeah, he definitely seems on guard.
•Self-destructive behavior, such as drinking too much or driving too fast.
Yeah, in the form of running to the danger instead of away from it like a normal person would.
•Trouble sleeping.
We haven't seen it.
•Trouble concentrating.
We haven't seen it.
•Irritability, angry outbursts or aggressive behavior.
Oh yes but then again, this is Bakugou. Do I count it? Did his anger worsen?
•Physical reactions, such as sweating, rapid breathing, fast heartbeat or shaking.
We've seen it from him before; when he had his panic attack after losing to Deku (yes I count that as a panic attack) but this was before Kamino and we know why so we can't tie it back to the Sludge Villain Incident. Ugh, do I count it?
Checks 2- maybe 4- of these boxes.
That's all the symptoms listed but before I come to the conclusion I do need to say this:
Did his behavior change? Yes, I recall Deku pointing out differences in his behavior after the Sludge Villain Incident. So that's one more box he checks.
Now:
Conclusion
He checks 9 boxes IF I don't count the maybes but if I do he checks 13 boxes.
Bakugou- drum roll, please- could have PTSD.
I asked the AI on Snapchat- because I was too lazy to search it up and read some article- and this was the interaction:
How many ’boxes’ (symptoms) do you need to check to have PTSD. How many are required?
To be diagnosed with PTSD, according to the DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition), a person needs to experience a certain number of symptoms from different categories. Specifically, the DSM-5 outlines that a person must have symptoms from each of the following four categories: intrusion, avoidance, negative alterations in cognitions and mood, and alterations in arousal and reactivity. The exact number of symptoms required for a diagnosis can vary, but typically, a person needs to exhibit a certain number of symptoms from each category for a specified duration to be diagnosed with PTSD.
Yes, what is this certain number? Is there a specific one.
In the DSM-5, to be diagnosed with PTSD, an individual typically needs to experience at least one symptom from each of the four categories: intrusion, avoidance, negative alterations in cognitions and mood, and alterations in arousal and reactivity. So, in total, that would be a minimum of four symptoms from these different categories to meet the criteria for a PTSD diagnosis.
Do you need to check all of the boxes from each category?
You don't necessarily need to check all the boxes from each category to be diagnosed with PTSD. The important aspect is that you have a minimum of one symptom from each of the four categories: intrusion, avoidance, negative alterations in cognitions and mood, and alterations in arousal and reactivity. As long as you meet the criteria of having symptoms from each category, the specific symptoms may vary from person to person.
And, considering Bakugou checked at least one (sometimes multiple) of the boxes from the categories then yes, he very likely could have PTSD.
Now, something to remember that this is NOT a professional opinion, this is just an opinion from an overanalyzing idiot from the internet who thinks it's fun to diagnose characters. So I might do this more; either disprove or prove.
As a way to end this; Yes, Bakugou could very likely have PTSD.
Snape;
People have many different opinions on Snape- some think he's a stalker, a creep and that he's terrible- and some think that he's the bravest man ever, and that Lily should have married him instead.
Both are right. Because it all depends on how you see it- I mean, Snape did seem pretty obsessed with Lily. He was in love with her. And Snape-haters can deny it all they want- but he was brave. Brave because he was a second agent, he managed to stay loyal to Dumbledore, while still staying on Voldemort's good side. But he was a terrible teacher.
Yep, I've admitted it, finally- Snape was a terrible teacher. Snape-haters say he was, and they're right, because he was. And don't even try to deny it, because he was completely unfair. He was nice to the Slytherins, but terrible to every other house, and especially the Gryffindors.
Snape looked coldly at Hermione, then said, ‘I see no difference.’ (When Hermione's teeth were hit with the Densaugeo hex, Goblet Of Fire.)
‘I don’t remember asking you to show off, Miss Granger,’ said Snape coldly, and Hermione went as pink as Neville. ‘Longbottom, at the end of this lesson we will feed a few drops of this potion to your toad and see what happens. Perhaps that will encourage you to do it properly.’ (When Snape was threatening to poison Trevor, Neville's toad, Prisoner of Azkaban)
And I could show more examples, but I'm lazy.
Snape was a terrible teacher, he was unfair and played favorites, and he was often just cruel. Tell me, would you want a teacher like Snape teaching your child?
Being brave doesn't excuse what he did towards his students. He definitely traumatized some of them, because who would forget such a teacher? I wouldn't. And do you remember how Neville's boggart was Snape-? Let that sink in.
A boggart represents (turns into) one's greatest fear. Like how Ron's was an acromantula, and how Harry's was a dementor. But Neville's was Snape- that's his teacher, no they don't have to have a student/mentor relationship people love, but if you're a teacher and one of your student's worst fear is you, then you need to revaluate your teaching abilities.
So in short; I don't really know how I feel about this character.
Petunia;
Now, are we going to deny that Petunia is a good mother? Because she is, not to Harry of course, but she is to Dudley. She's kind of a good example of gentle parenting, the no-discipline kind of parenting. I mean, Dudley has probably never been grounded before. With her hugs and kisses, and cringy but affectionate pet-names in every sentence, it's made clear that she loves Dudley. Even though Dudley is pretty hard to love.
But is she a good aunt? Oh absolutely not. She has never been a good aunt, clearly doesn't know how to do it. She was terrible to Harry, downright terrible. In fact, all the Dursleys were. They were abusive, and I don't want to hear any comments saying the opposite, though I doubt I'll get any.
Let's just get this clear- in the Philosophers' Stone, Harry wasn't just small, he was malnourished. Because growing up, he barely got any food. The Dursleys starved him. That includes Petunia, she overfed Dudley, but barely gave Harry any food. And what's the difference between Dudley and Harry? One is her son, one isn't.
Sure, she loved Lily, but what does that excuse? Does that excuse her abusing Lily's kid? I mean sure, she likely saw that it just came out of nowhere- like ’Oh, your sister's dead, here's her baby.’- but that doesn't excuse anything. She didn't have to treat Harry like that, just because she missed Lily so much.
And what was her whole thing with hating wizards? I mean, it was understandable in the Goblet of Fire, when the Weasleys tried to floo to their house. I'd be pretty mad too, if someone practically blew up my living room. Yeah, after and before that it was just unreasonable. But in the Goblet of Fire, I've got to admit, it's reasonable to react like that.
It was understandable when she was kid, but it stopped being understandable the second she became an adult. When she was a kid, she was jealous and therefore pushed everything that reminded her of it away, and that's understandable because kids do stuff like that. But when you're an adult? It's just childish. And that doesn't mean she should abuse her nephew.
And is it just me, or do Mrs and Mr Evans kind of seem like bad parents? Oh my god, is this anti Mr and Mrs Evans? Well, that's a tag I doubt exists. But seriously, they never noticed the feud between Petunia and Lily? Because they were so proud of having a witch in the family? They could have noticed, I doubt either Petunia and Lily made their feud secret. And clearly them being so proud of Lily, made Petunia feel inferior because she was just a muggle.
And what is it with the theory that the Dursleys were so mean because they were around Harry, who was a Horcrux? That's dumb, if you think about it. Firstly, it excuses the Dursleys terrible treatment of Harry, so just victim-blaming, basically. ’Oh, it's Harry's fault he was abused, because he was a Horcrux and that affected the Dursleys.’ And secondly, Ron and Hermione were around Harry even more than the Dursleys one could argue, and they never got in a bad mood from that, did they? No. So many other people were around Harry more than the Dursleys were, and they were never in a bad mood.
So in short; I hate her character.
Dumbledore;
So I know I might possibly get cancelled for this, but I actually like Dumbledore.
Yes, yes- I know- terrible as most people nowadays are anti Dumbledore, but I'm not. Not really, anyways. Sure, some of his actions were questionable, but he's not a manipulative villain that didn't care about anybody. He genuinely cared about Hagrid, and Grindelwald, and Harry.
Harry and Dumbledore's relationship wasn't really that toxic, as people like to say, it was just kind of cute. Because Harry loved Dumbledore, and Dumbledore loved Harry. People say that in the books Dumbledore ’raised Harry like a pig for slaughter’, but nobody thinks about that Harry was practically made to be a pig for slaughter because of the prophecy.
And Dumbledore didn't want to, he delayed telling Harry about the prophecy because he cared about him. He reckoned 11 was too young, which I'd say it was, and 12 is barely different. Too young. And wouldn't you say it was kind of Dumbledore to keep this from Harry, so it wouldn't weigh on the boy’s mind?
Now the thing I hear Dumbledore being called the most is manipulative. Basically, he knows how to get his way, which is a good thing. And he is a powerful wizard, and important, shouldn't he know how to do that?
’Played everyone like a chess pawn’, well it was war, so who could really blame him? You have to do things you don't want to do sometimes in war. Sometimes you have to do everything to make sure the war ends, which sometimes means people have to be used a little bit. War is not an ideal situation to be in, and it's not a good situation to follow all of your morals.
Something I've always appreciated about Dumbledore is that he's so odd it's funny. He likes candy, so much he decides the passwords to his office after them, and always says such things so calmly. But you can't underestimate him because of that, as he's also very powerful.
He's a great wizard, and Hogwarts was only attacked after Dumbledore died (and conveniently, Dumbledore didn't have his wand on him then.)
Now another thing I hear people both talk bad about AND joke about it; about how much Dumbledore gives points to Gryffindor, how he wants them to win. Which I do disagree with. Because tell me: if your students prevented a powerful terrorist from coming back, would you, or would you not, give them points?
Ron got given points for doing a smart move, and winning a chess match against one of the professors (who I'm pretty sure is canonically really good at chess?) Because chess is a hard game I couldn't understand to save my life, and to be really good at it, you have to be smart. Ron got given points for his intelligence (and excellent chess skills), something they do give points for. ’… for the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many years, I award Gryffindor house fifty points.’
Hermione basically got given points because she made a smart move, she was smart. Which do they give points for regularly. ‘Second – to Miss Hermione Granger … for the use of cool logic in the face of fire, I award Gryffindor house fifty points.’ She was in a stressful situation, yet used great logic. She did good, basically, and it's understandable for Dumbledore to give points to that.
Harry was the one who actually prevented the return of the most feared wizard/powerful terrorist, Voldemort, in this case. He also stood tall, in front of said terrorist. At 11. And I don't know about you, but I would give points for that. ‘Third – to Mr Harry Potter …’ said Dumbledore. The room went deadly quiet. ‘… for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house sixty points.’ For being a true Gryffindor, basically. And that sounds like something the professors would give points for.
‘There are all kinds of courage,’ said Dumbledore, smiling. ‘It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends. I therefore award ten points to Mr Neville Longbottom.’ He was brave, that's why he got points. He proved he was a Gryffindor at heart, and probably somewhat earned the respect of Dumbledore.
Recent events do matter, and should be taken into account, as Dumbledore said.
And in the Chamber of Secrets, I'm pretty sure they won the house cup again, and I've got only one thing to say; are you saying you wouldn't give points to students for saving someone's life?
I won't go into it more, because I know I'll probably get something about in the comments- if I get any, of course- and I'll definitely defend my opinion. Because in short; I like Albus Dumbledore's character.
Ron;
So, stating this will not give me hate like my opinion on Dumbledore will, but; I frickin love Ron Weasley.
Now some who have only watched the movie might say stuff like: ’Why? He was a terrible friend to Harry’ or ’All he did was eat though’. Or they might not, and I just need to stop saying ’say stuff like:’
Maybe people have finally stopped hating on Ron, and I'm just stuck in the past of Anti-Ron, but I'm still going to defend him here. Starting by debunking my first example of what someone might say.
’Why? He was a terrible friend to Harry’ Sorry, are you saying Ron stood-in-front-of-a-believed-murder-on-a-broken-leg-for-his-best-friend Weasley is a bad friend? In the movies it may have been Hermione who did that but I call bullshit. Because this is what happened in the book;
’No, Harry!’ Hermione gasped in a petrified whisper; Ron, however, spoke to Black.
‘If you want to kill Harry, you’ll have to kill us, too!’ he said fiercely, though the effort of standing up had drained him of still more colour, and he swayed slightly as he spoke. (When the trio were in the Whomping Willow with Sirius, Prisoner of Azkaban.)
And then debunking my second example; ’All he did was eat though’ which is also kind of people saying Ron loved food. WHICH he did not, or at least I don't recall him loving food that much in the books. Specifically him loving chicken, which people think he loved so much there's a ship called ’Chickron’ (Ron x Chicken.)
I can't mention instances in the book because that's just that: there aren't any. Ron ate at breakfast, lunch and dinner and that's just that. Did he eat a lot then? Maybe?? oMg HoW dArE hE eAt A lOt, NoBoDy ElSe DiD (cough cough Harry cough cough) Yeah, Harry ate a lot too but I don't see anybody calling him a ’foodie’ or ’food-lover’ or whatever they call Ron.
And for people to say he doesn't deserve Hermione: he begged to be tortured in her place, and if that isn't love, then nothing is. Was he a douche sometimes? Yeah. Was he also, conveniently, a teenager then? Yeah. People are douches sometimes, when they're teenagers, and can't always treat someone right. They bickered, they disagreed. Which only really proved that Ron listened to her, and then gave his opinion. Nobody else did that, and especially not Harry. He's what Hermione needs; somebody to kind of put her in her place yet support her and comfort her when she's upset. Ron is right for Hermione, and trust me; she thinks so too.
Something else people often bring up was the situation in PoA, or the Crookshanks/Scabbers situation? I don't know what people call it but time to put my opinion out there; I think Ron was in the right. Tell me, if one of your best friends’ pet ate your pet (or at least, allegedly with very believable proof) and then refused to apologize or even acknowledge it, would you get mad? Just because Scabbers turned out being Peter Pettigrew (which I'll probably talk more about another time) does not mean Hermione was in the right. Did Ron act kind of shitty about it? Yeah, but he was 13. Honestly? I act the same way when I'm mad at someone.
Was he in the right in GoF? No. But do I think that's when he realized his feelings for Hermione, didn't know how to deal with it, so took it out on her? Because he was probably thinking; No I can't have feelings for her, she'd never even like me back. Also, he was 14, were you expecting him to be really mature? And also; it wouldn't have been the best night of her life or something, it was just prom. (But maybe don't listen to me about that, I've always been anti-prom.)
And about the ’Hermione, you're a girl’ comment; I kind of think of it a little bit differently. I think it was more, a start of asking her out, like ’Hermione, you're a girl. And I'm a boy. Wanna go to the Yule Ball with me? J-just as friends!’ I think he had wanted to ask her out for a while- and wondering why he wanted to ask her out- and that he had been building up courage, because asking somebody out takes a lot of courage and he's also really insecure. He just didn't know how to do it, and maybe it came out a little wrong.
And something else he gets a lot of hate for; leaving Harry and Hermione in the Horcrux Hunt. But he was under the control of the Locket (a Horcrux made by Voldemort), which affected him most presumably because of his insecurities. (Seriously he should have gotten help for that) and also, it was more that he was stepping out for a breather but just forgot about the charms, whatever they're called. Was it still a mistake? Yeah, but are you telling m you've never made mistakes (especially in bad times)? ALSO, NO MATTER WHAT, HE DID NOT- I REPEAT: HE DID NOT- SAY HARRY HAD NO FAMILY: ‘Oh, you’re sure, are you? Right then, well, I won’t bother myself about them. It’s all right for you two, isn’t it, with your parents safely out of the way –’ ‘My parents are dead!’ Harry bellowed. ‘And mine could be going the same way!’ yelled Ron. ’ To me, both were in the wrong in that situation.
Now is there anything I should adress about Ron? Well, in that case:
Malfoy;
*deep breath*
I FUCKING HATE THIS RACIST, STUPID, DEATH AND RAPE-WISHING TWAT.
Seriously, how does anyone like this guy?
Oh wait- They don't; they only like Tom Felton, who they think is hot. And if Malfoy was played by someone else, someone ’less attractive’, then nobody would be liking him. Trust me.
And as an ex Draco fan- yes, I admit to the part of my past I'm deeply ashamed of- I know how his fan-part of Tiktok looks like; all edits of Tom Felton (more specifically, him playing Malfoy) and no talks about Malfoy's character, or why they like him other than ’He's so hot’ and ’The boy who had no choice’.
Now to addressing the ’The boy who had no choice’ nickname; it's actually quite ironic, because in most of the series, he did have a choice. Chose to bully Harry, Hermione, Ron and Neville and probably countless other people. He chose to be the racist bully who wished death and rape upon people (Hermione, to be more specific.) Now I don't really know about how he wished rape upon Hermione, as I've only seen one person talk about it, about how Malfoy wished she would get her panties revealed in the incident at the Quidditch World Cup.
'Granger, they’re after Muggles,' said Malfoy. 'D’you want to be showing off your knickers in midair? Because if you do, hang around . . . they’re moving this way, and it would give us all a laugh.'
No, that's not him 'warning her', that's him wishing sexual assault on her. Having something as private as your panties revealed against your will is sexual assault; and that's what Malfoy wished would happen to her.
Stop seeing him in this distorted, rose-tinted view and start seeing him for what he is: a racist (him calling Hermione a m**blood, which is basically the wizard version of the n-word), stupid (Lucius, his father, said he was getting bad grades) death-wishing (multiple instances where he wished Hermione would die), rape-wishing (or at least sexual assault-wishing) twat.
So yeah, if you have not yet understood; I hate him.
Molly Weasley;
Watch Mikaila's video on her, called 'In defense of Molly Weasley' as she expresses it much better, in my opinion.
BUT I do not like how she has so many children even if they were poor just because she wanted a girl: Once I saw a Tumblr Post, saying that Molly didn't actually want a girl (or at least that there was no proof of it) and that it was just the locket saying that to Ron BUT if she didn't, why did she stop at Ginny? Did she, after seven kids, think 'Okay that's enough kids' NO, presumably, she was satisfied; she had gotten what she wanted. A girl. Also, what the locket said was based on Ron's feelings and he would definitely know if Molly had wanted a girl all along.
Arthur Weasley;
I've seen a couple of people here on Tumblr talking about how he's selfish for not trying to get a promotion when his family is poor just for his 'muggle fascination.' Now I do have to say this; I don't think he wasn't aiming for a promotion, rather that he just wasn't getting one. He got a promotion in the sixth book, if you remember, and why would he be aiming for one then? Exactly. He wasn't getting a promotion all those years, that's it. He was stuck in his position (that presumably didn't pay as much.)
---------
I might make a Part 2, talking about more characters. Just tell me what more characters you'd like to hear my opinion on, and I'll do it.
I'm sorry if the last part of it is a little bit bad, I was just tired when writing that and honestly just wanted to get this posted to move on to other stuff.
I just don't see the reason to. If something isn't your thing- or if you disagree- why blame anon for that?
And now that I remember, what the hell is anon? Could somebody tell me?
It pains me that only 14,000 people can honestly reblog this
list 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the ask box for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you!
Thanks for the ask, I guess? Gah, this has never happened to me before! 5 things that make me happy, in no particular order:
•My grandparents' dog
•Making fun of fictional characters
•English in general
•Stranger Things (a show whose fandom I recently joined- yes, this is me coming out as a Stranger Things fan!)
•All the other shows I like
I guess I'd be happy to.
Hello please reblog this if you’re okay with people sending you random asks to get to know you better
Summary; I know what you expect, this isn't Encanto, it's Pokémon! More specifically, Pokémon-journey-series. So, to summarize it; Chloe is looking for Goh, and finds out from her father that Goh is nowhere to be seen, she knows what that means!
(This is Goh angst with Chloe fluff, since I love angst and fluff! My headcanon is that Goh was bullied as a child, Chloe knows this. And I have a second headcanon. Chloe can sing!)
”Goh!”
No answer.
’Where could that boy be?’, wondered Chloe. ’Surely he can't be that hard to find, right?’
”Goh! Where are you? Hello, Goh!” called Chloe.
She sighed.
”Goh! You egoistic boy!” called Chloe again, getting slightly annoyed.
There was a short pause.
”I see your looking for Goh.” said a voice, her father.
”Yes,“ said Chloe. ”Have you seen him?”
Cerise thought for a while.
”No,” said Cerise. ”But I know he went out for a walk, didn't take anyone with him, not Raboot or Sobble.”, he thought for a while again. ”He's been gone for around one hour, he's probably not back yet. Maybe he visited his family or something?”
What-
She knew what that meant. It was clear as day in her head.
”And you haven't gone looking for him?!” exclaimed Chloe impulsively.
She brushed her father off, and started running.
”Chloe, wait!”
She didn't listen.
She opened the door, and didn't close it afterwards, she ran towards the gate.
She ran towards the school's direction, but instead taking a shortcut before getting to the road.
...
Her pace had not slowed down, she was sure that Goh was there, he had to.
When the greenery started to multiply, the flowers and bushes embracing every corner, she knew she was almost there.
She soon came to a rock wall covered in vines, so she turned, entering the open location.
She stopped.
There were flowers all around, bushes, and much more.
The school's old garden.
’Goh has to be here.’
While a small part of her wished he wasn't, it was never a good reason when he was there.
She walked forwards, looking at the greenery.
This place surely was beautiful. She had been there multiple times. Every time, of course, was because of Goh.
It was quiet, the place was abandoned, that being the reason it was so overgrown. But soon enough, she started hearing sobs, sniffles. She recognized who it came from, though she could not see the person, she knew who it was.
Taking a deep breath, she made her presence clear.
”You like hiding,” sang Chloe, her voice angelic. ”But, no matter where you are, I will know.”, she stepped closer, brushing the plants out of the way, before it revealed the person.
”So don't try to hide,”
In front of her was Goh, who was crying, face in his arms, he looked up at her slightly.
”There's no use,”, she walked over to him. ”I know you way too well, my dear friend.”
She sat down next to him, and rubbed his shoulder.
She paused.
”What happened?” asked Chloe.
He sniffed.
”I saw Brake.“ mumbled Goh sadly.
Brake was his old bully, the main one.
Chloe hated him, he always used his big brother's pokémon to beat up Goh.
”I don't understand...”
”Hmm?”
She scooped closer.
”I thought I was over it...“ said Goh sadly.
”It's okay to not be over it,” said Chloe. ”It takes time.”
Goh looked at her, and smiled slightly.
”You always know what to say, *sniff*.” mumbled Goh.
She took a deep breath.
”I've known you too long, so don't try.” sang Chloe again. ”Just let me, I'll make my way to you- Just stay there- Don't hide, don't hide, don't hide.”
She paused again and hugged him.
He hugged back.
”P-please don't... Hide...” sang Goh quietly.
