⟅25.08.2024 — agosto foi o mês oficial de entrega de pedidos em categorias novas e a da vez foi: AVATAR (!) sempre que lembro de Avatar, penso na minha criança que saia correndo da escola pra assistir pelo menos os últimos minutos dos EPS na (falecida) TV Globinho e eu amava demais. Anos mais tarde, eu iria assistir todas as temporadas de novo e dessa vez em sequência, acabei me apaixonando novamente pela obra. Falando na capa, vocês notaram que ela é branca? SIM, eu fui agraciado com um milagre (!) finalmente consegui fazer uma capa que pelo menos passasse a mensagem de mais neve e gelo e não poderia estar mais feliz com isso. A capa está meio clean? Sim, em minha defesa, eu não tenho quase nada de elementos que combinassem com a capa então optei por deixar mais clean.

it's been years but my heart remains soft for dramione and zutara. look idc if you don't like it, whatever floats your boat, but i just cannot let the idea stand that it was only a ship or only popular because "bad boy/good girl" or "fire and water." it's about the redemption. the healing. the hard work towards a connection. for draco, for zuko: the idea that if you really want to, you can change. that you're worth more than your mistakes. that there isn't a place you can't pull yourself out of if you put in the work. that you might have been better if you hadn't been where you were; that you have the chance now.

for hermione, for katara: that people have seen you the same way your whole life and now you are given the chance to break away. that you have wounds and dark moments that the motherly ones and the bookworms shouldn't have, don't get to have--but that someone has been at the bottom of that same pit, that there's a hand reaching down. that there was a bitter, cruel history that meant you had no choice but to be enemies. but that there is that choice, now.

the appeal of that can't be reduced to simple tropes

this is THE zutara book 2 fanart

Book 2 au with Zuko and Katara Lee and Huamei

Katara is separated from her friends, and so she's left to travel the earth kingdom on her own. She stumbles across Zuko, who is similarly travelling on his own. They decide that pairing up and travelling together would be best

Here is chapter two of my Zutara marriage of convenience AU, with unrequited (as of right now) love, fluff, and a little bit of angst. The fic is based on this post I made earlier about how Katara won the Agni Kai for the throne so she was technically legally the Firelord.

Here is an excerpt of chapter 2 (I already have an excerpt posted of chapter 1 here:)

The silence is deafening as Katara and Zuko stride up through the staircase. Katara can’t help glancing at Zuko, whose face is still visibly bright red. It’s almost funny, and it would be funny to Katara in another situation where Zuko is embarrassed and averse to the idea of marrying her.

Katara looks away and decides to continue trudging up the stairs.

“You don’t have to stare, you know. I-I mean, I understand what...never mind,” Zuko stutters awkwardly, and it’s really kind of adorable.

“It’s alright, Zuko. You don’t have to marry me. Unless you want to, of course.” She’s trying to sound teasing and indifferent, but her heart is just breaking a little bit.

Just a little bit.

She is trapped in the ache of loving someone who doesn’t love her as more than a friend. Katara has no doubt Zuko cares about her deeply; but she will never be to him what he is to her.

Pre-Southern Raiders, Toph starts calling Zuko "Sparky" and Katara starts doing so as well just because it annoys him. Zuko is desperately trying to ignore the Feelings this stirs in him.

Katara is extremely annoyed by how close Toph is to Zuko, always hanging off him, but it would be ridiculous if anyone thought that had anything to do with jealousy...

@zutaramonth day 5: Katara kept her scars. And tells Zuko in the catacombs that even though she's a healer, even the spirit water can't take her scars away - and that's how Zuko learns of her vial of *special* water :) Does she still touch his scar? That's for you to decide :P

I saw this tiktok on twitter and I just had to 😂

Thinking about how Zuko was very close with his mother, grew up with all female friends, and instantly fell into a nurturing, parental role with his little half sister. No wonder he made such an excellent father for Izumi.

It really gets to me how many strong female influences Zuko had in his life and how that must have shaped him. He would have made such a good partner for Katara. He would have loved and cared for their children deeply.
