Ok so this may just be a stretch, a result of a continuity error but idk
So Anya (Archives) went to the hilltop house in her universe but then fell through reality into the Magnus Archives universe where she emerged from hilltop house but in the different universe. If Anya were from the Magnus Protocol universe, wouldn't she fall through at the hilltop center instead of the house?
Darion fell through at his therapist's office (which was a town house) and emerged from the hilltop center.
I think Anya isn't actually from the Protocol universe and I don't Darion is either.
Looking at the facts it seems that they could possibly separate universes. The townhouse/ therapist office was probably located where hilltop is/ the rift and it would be safe to say that the townhouse/ therapist office may be the hilltop house. Anya's job was to clean houses and college residences, not newly built office spaces so It could also be that the two places/ houses were from completely different universes.
Anyways it could just be a consistency thing but it would seem weird that they would put so much focus on the hilltop areas being different purposes for each universe to just scrap it.
Besides there is so many small differences in each of the houses so I do believe that there are 4 different universes currently known
Heres a diagram where it might make a bit more sense
Anyways, I'm probably crazy but idk
I just wanted to praise Anusia's voice acting in the recent episode, her acting throughout the series so far has been really good, especially with portrayed freakout in episode 18. But she really nails it in the latest so I just wanted to give credit where it's due (:
all my time doodling eyes in the margins of my notes in school really payed off with this one i will say.
I’ve been noticing this also, and I think it has something to do with the purpose of what Sam and the crew are doing in the first place. The purpose of the Magnus institute was to document people’s fear to make them relive it to feed the eye. But the OIAR randomly gathers statements from wherever it can find them.
Based on this, one possibility is that the OIAR is harvesting fear from the employees. So the system chooses statements based on what might stick with the employees. Hearing a story about someone suffering is sad and unpleasant, but hearing a story about something that is out there to cause pain, and it is probably still out there? That’s certainly enough to keep your average Joe paranoid.
did anyone else pick up on how many of the cases weren't from the victim's point of view? it's happened 3 times so far (4 if you count daria? she's complicated) out of seven cases. tma in comparison has 130 out of 154 statements (i am only counting s1-4 because s5 messes with format) (if the numbers are a bit funky please note that i hand counted them so i apologise for that). of course, we only have six episodes of protocol, but there is clearly a difference and i can still make a post out of it.
maybe it's because we aren't only getting stories from the survivors now, as other people have mentioned
but also, those accounts from the perpetrator remind me somewhat of statements from avatars. needles' poetic, ominous manner of speech sounded similar to statements like jane prentiss, manuela dominguez, etc. (side note: needles was very corruption in my opinion. calling the stabbing/other violent actions an act of affection was definitely reminiscent of jane and the hive, just saying). others have pointed the parallels between jonah magnus and the violin guy, but i'll do it again: guy obtains much power via acts of violence, and despite knowing it hurts people this guy continues to see the skill and power with a cost as a blessing, keeps the origin of the power secret and passes it onto another person, who they tell the origin of the power to and bestow the power upon this other person, who did not ask for this. samuel webber's contentment with his new form while retaining an underlying sense of fear is comparable to avatars who love and fear their entity in equal measure.
as well as this, these cases seem more directly aligned with tma entities. magp 4 is extremely slaughter, and resembles mag 42 (grifter's bone). magp 3 is corruption, and mag 6 is also corruption in my opinion (i think people agree with me on that?).
i'm sorry i haven't planned this out i just noticed something and spent an hour typing on my phone about it. tell me your thoughts in the tags, i'd love to see someone make an actual theory about this!
Reblog to reassure poor Needles that he’s doing great and we all think he’s very scary.

Are you saying that you wouldn't explore a creepy burned down building?
Week.
the fears aren't fears anymore they're just levels of stupidity now. having body image issues? lemme put a scalpel to my eye! there's a weird spooky building that got burned down? sure thing let's go explore! someone mysteriously sent me movie tickets for an unknown film even tho i never gave out my address? sounds like a lucky break to me!
literally how have these people survived this long
I lied put your clothes back on, we’re going to talk about how Martin was never meant for the Lonely. He was forced into it by the middle of season two- season three because NotSasha wasn’t interacting with the gang and Tim became angry at anything involved in the institute and Jon went missing. Thus accidentally isolating him and because of Martin’s nature as a pessimist trying to romanticize his life, he was taken by the lonely. Same vibes as all your friends being depressed and you’re trying to keep them happy. He was meant for the Web but working for Peter Lucas solidified his fate
Interesting that the first time we hear Sasha’s voice is also when we’re first introduced to the stranger
Edit: it’s the second time we hear of the stranger
There is the episode with the girl who is favored by the the watching the guy who eats his books
Working with cursed artifacts is probably trying to be important enough to no be cannon fordder but also not important enough to be the subject of a ritualistic sacrifice.
shitpost tma version almost all of them were drawn in june when i was stressed about college and needed a way to relax, so I started drawing these silly things
hello jon
:)
A little Samama Khalid drawing before the new Magnus Protocol is released.
Hear me out: his hair being The Magnus Protocol background colour?
Yeah yeah it's Valentine's Day on Wednesday.
But consider, there's a new episode of The Magnus Protocol on Thursday!
Okay, as someone who has so far only heard the first two episodes (and season trailer) of The Magnus Protocol, I'm going to try to write down my own little thoughts for the communal red string board. I don't actually think Jonah is linked to the computer voices, I think the third voice will be Annabelle Cane's, and the reason the voices weren't part of the computer system until about a year ago is because they're linked to the Archives Reality Tape Web™ attaching itself to the Protocol Reality, remember the voice of the Archivist was the important part and the tapes were just a way for the Spider to steer that voice where it wanted the Fears to go, they followed the Archivist's voice and the Archivist's voice being in Protocol means the Archives Reality Fears did find the Protocol world, and have just become part of the Fear there. So far so normal, the voices are from Archives, so are probably avatars the Archives Fears brought with them. This is where it gets a little weirder, I don't think they're actually linked to the computer any more than the rest of the Statements are, my theory is that the computer is picking them up as Something Spooky and compiling it with the rest, and the owners of these voices are still in a remote location unrelated to the Protocol PCs. But they're clearly reading Protocol Reality Statements so here's where I'm torn between two ideas. They as people are reading out these Statements to feed the Fears and the computer is adding their spooky voices to the file. Or, the voices themselves were what was considered Spooky and the computer added them, but as it was just a voice and not really any associated story or text the PC didn't actually know where to file them and because of this the voices just became incorporated into the system, floating in uncategorizable limbo. But our blorbos might not be trapped in a modified version of Windows NT 4.0, the businessfocused predecessor to 95.
Please feel free to add your own thoughts to this, I would love to hear them, I'm literally putting this on the internet so me and the three people who see this can laugh about it in a year's time.
YOU WOULDNT DOWNLOAD AN ARCHIVIST
I was bored in class and had sticky notes, I just finished the last episode of TMA and I’m actually devastated, I’ve convinced two of my friends to listen to is so that’s a win
another fandom to the pile I already have here hehe (I promise it's the last one)

I just got a notification from Pinterest that said 'mental illness for you' and it was just every fiction podcast I've ever listened to
Celia you're not even trying to hide it anymore oh my GOD
Tmagp is pure poetry and I wish I got into it late like I did with tma so I wouldn't have to wait for new episodes like the common folk 💔💔
