I work at a movie theater.

And personally? To be in the tickets booth, and see young girls, teenagers, adult women, coming in to see Barbie,

the most highlighter pink outfits, some of them coming in with the dolls they’re dressed as, laughing to each other, cheering for each other,

to see the men they’re coming to see it with, dressed in pink, cheering them on, taking their pictures with smiles and cheers in the lobby at the photo op

touches something so deep in me

I can’t say any nuances of the movie that haven’t already been said, but like, fuck man, love is so deep and so kind and to be able to see glimpses of it from behind my little ticket desk makes me a little less nihilistic.

How can they be cringe when cute & tasty‽

i love how whenever something gets popular the underground tormented avant garde bloggers start becoming self conscious of liking it/finding it funny, and it eventually evolves into aggression towards it. doesnt matter what it is. unrelated but i saw someone call isopods cringe today

i love how humans love. how poems can be based off a single glance thrown to a stranger. how my mother will always have food at the table no matter how tired she is. how we looked at stars and decided that they're beautiful and should be named. how a child clings to his dads legs. how we hold each other to feel safe. how two friends laugh at absolutely nothing in particular. how you might think of someone while reading this. we are nothing if we cannot feel.
