Btw I must add that precisely because he is left with no other option but to discover who he is in that situation is precisely why he, to me at least, is the version of Link who understands everything better and why he ends up being so mature (along with what he learns from the trials he overcomes during his journey)
Also talking about Link's origins made me think about how, in my opinion, he felt he never truly belonged anywhere? He doesn't belong in kokiri Forest because the bully he receives is a constant reminder he is not like the rest, Hyrule is a land completely unknown to him and what little he gets to discover changes in the seven years he is gone, and then, once he finds his place as the hero and helper to rebuilding the kingdom he is sent back to a time where he is "nothing" again and is left completely alone since the connections he created are gone ( except for Zelda, the only other person who remembers everything ) and even navi leaves him.

I have been thinking of a hunger games verse for Link and I'm liking the idea that he might be the son of a district 2 soldier who gets in trouble with the capitol and whose wife is forced to flee in order to avoid being killed either to district 7 ( closer to oot since it's mostly forests ) or 9 ( closer to tp since it specialises in farming).
Popping in here just to say that I have been writing (slowly because life has been a bit of a mess but I think I will have some things ready during the weekend) and that I'm still alive.
Link is a person who doesn't really like physical touch and doesn't express his feelings often (either because he feels they're his own burden to bear or because he finds it difficult to put them into words) so if he ever open ups to your muse or has any type of gesture, whatever small it may be like, for example, holding their hand, know it's because they mean a lot to him and he trust them completely.
Reading again the Twilight Princess manga has given me the urge to write things in that verse and, since I don't have any at the moment, like this for a starter ( length may vary ) from the Hero of Twilight.
Thinking about which zelda games I could add to my verses and honestly I don't think it'll go beyond Skyward Sword (because, you know, kind of fun to explore the beginning of everything) and Wind Waker (with maybe a few changes and honestly for no other reason that it being one of my favourite games along with oot and tp)
Also HOW DID I NOT MENTION THIS, the backstory of Volvagia being a small dragon young Link saves from being sold and becomes friends with? Absolutely canon in this blog because it's amazing how he refuses to kill it when he's older because of that connection but eventually has to (while still trying to make it remember him and avoid it) and it's in that moment where it's dying and Ganon's curse goes away that it remembers and both cry.

An example of this is how, instead of just completely ignoring Saria's ocarina when Zelda gives him the ocarina of time in the games, Link actually loses it because he has to fool Ganondorf somehow when he tries to take it from him and the only option is giving him Saria's one (which is what happens in the manga).

I don’t know why, but I suddenly feel like diving deeper into Link’s connections with my mutual’s muses. I already mostly follow one portrayal, but I want to make things more specific and personal. Something that goes beyond just the basics of each other’s universes.
Also, I’m always up for talking about becoming mains, but only if we’ve interacted a bit first (both ooc and ic) to make sure we’re both comfortable.
So, if you are interested, like this post and I'll message you to basically talk about our muses and see where it goes, or just feel free to do it yourselves.
Been thinking for a while on making each version of Link more unique (like the Hero of Time would be more childish given that he is actually a kid who hasn't really grown even if 7 years passed or the Hero of the Wild would be more serious given that we know he feels a lot of pressure due to his position not only because of his crucial role in defeating Calamity Ganon but also because he wants to be a good example for the rest of the people) and so I will probably make detailed verses posts explaining this type of things and take a bit longer to add more verses (both from the games and other fandoms)
Honestly one of my favourite fights is dark Link because of how it represents how there is darkness even in the kindest of people and how it's your choice which side you listen to (which is why Link always wins, because his desire to do good will always be stronger).
Also, nobody knows you better than yourself and having to defeat someone who has your same resources, knowledge and strength/speed is way more difficult than it may originally seem.
I mentioned before that I'm taking from the Asoiaf books the fact that you can't spend too much time in an animal's body and that, if you do, it will change yourself because you eventually lose your human conscience until you become the animal itself for the Hero of Twilight.
So, even if I will eventually make a longer post about this, know that in that verse Link will have sharper senses, teeth more similar to a wolf's, and a more impulsive side. Also, he'll be way more into hunting and hanging out in the forest than he normally is.

Just posting this so you guys know Link has one of the brightest smiles. Shame he mostly has a poker face and it's very difficult to see it.

Preferred communication: discord because tumblr doesn't always notificate me of messages and I can end up missing them or answering pretty late.
Experience: I have been writing Link for 2 months now but I have been writing my other muse, Robb Stark, for 4 years I think it's going to be 5 soon.
Preferred roleplay type: dialogue. I usually write between 2 or 4 paragraphs depending on what is is ( a starter, a reply to an ask... ) and how much muse I have at that moment.
Pet peeves & dealbreakers: mostly that people hurry me for a reply to something because, come on, this is something we do on our free time and when we feel good enough to be here ( and I don't need to feel pressured ) and because I will never do that to you. Also, we are all here to have fun so I don't like to see a lack of respect towards someone or that people break the basic rp etiquette.
Plot or memes: memes, I think they are really good ice breakers to get things going. However, I'm, of course, always up to plotting so feel free to like any of the post I reblog for that ( if you are shy and you want me to message you ) or send me a message!
Long replies or short replies: long replies. You can never be sure with short ones if you are gonna have enough things to work with for your own reply.
Best time to write: I write mostly on the late afternoon. Though I sometimes also write in the morning, specially during the weekend.
Are you like your muse?: well Link is far cooler than me but I would say that I'm like him in some aspects because I would do anything for those really close to me and because sometimes I need to keep my feelings to myself to be the strong person in the group.

I swear, the tp maga is just... purely a masterpiece.
Trying to come up with a modern au for Link and honestly the closets I'm getting to his role in canon is that he's a bodyguard of the royal family.

Hey listen! I know that in botw/totk it is the sword that gets more strength when it faces Ganon or monsters created by him but, what if it was because when it shines with its blue light Link gets somewhat connected to the spirit inside the sword (Fi) via a very subtitle melody in the back pf his mind (which are actually words he can't even understand yet) that guides his movements?
Not me having a theme for boys who are absolutely more mature than they should be for their age because of the tragic events they have had the bad luck of living.
