Honestly, and this is kind of morbid, but for her family to be alive again. She got her powers when a bomb with a certain type of radiation compatible to her genes went off, killing everyone in the area (they were at a block party) except her. She constantly feels like it's her fault she survived, and even willingly gave herself up to be tested and experimented on because that's what she felt she deserved.
