Warning I will be rambling and yap im not sure how much sense it will make but buckle up if you’re willing to read thank you

While I’m not one to really voice my opinions on specific chapters until they’re completely done I feel this one needs to be spoken about more. Mainly because I feel this chapter has a lot of nuance in it, the way it read to me is very different. It almost felt like Simeon had the overwhelming sense of responsibility to take care of Luke and Raphael and felt guilty for causing them both so much sadness seeing his want and desire to be a demon as selfish. I honestly felt that Simeon would much prefer to be a demon (or stay a human if necessary) much more than ever becoming an angel again, the line “I’m no longer running away” feels like it would fit better if he did become a demon or stayed a human being able to acknowledging that he can’t keep trying to stay on both sides and and not taking the time to think about what he wants for himself and not feel the need to constantly do things for others. His reason for being turned human instead of a demon is because he would’ve greatly preferred being a demon hence his punishment was being turned human and not demon like his brothers. He saw how happy everyone was after they fell and they all care for each other like they did in the celestial realm. But again he still felt responsible for causing Luke and Raphael to feel abandoned so he pushed his wants away and he only became an angel again because he said out loud he wouldn’t mind it and since father and Micheal wanted to get Simeon back to the celestial realm they took the opportunity to do so while he had that window of guilt and shame for “being selfish”. If it was just babel that made him an angel because he truly wanted it I don’t think it would transfer over or even really effect anything again everything that happened in babel didn’t really happen outside of that little pocket babel is in. So all in all I feel this whole thing with Simeon ended in the opposite direction it should’ve, I’m not saying that anyone’s wrong or right since it is what it is but I just needed to yap about my opinion on the story.

The End of Simeon’s Journey

In the end whether he became a demon or an angel was up to him. He had to want to be an angel again, he had to miss and love his home and friends. If he didn’t care at all then why be one? It makes perfect sense, it was a deliberate journey of self discovery that could have easily gone either way.

Something More Curious…

The biggest part I wanna talk about though is that not even six of seven of the strongest demons in hell noticed Simeon was no longer human or demon, but LUKE DID

Lucifer and the game have hinted many times that Luke has seraph potential and I believe he will be on Michael’s level one day. The little angle is going straight to the top.

The confirmation. Simeon is an angel again and it’s what he wants. It had to be his decision in the end.

Also Mammon apparently saved them when they tumbled into the past and like...... DID BARBATOS FUCKING DROP MC OUT OF THE SKY!!!!????

But also if they've newly fallen, even if they're able to act reasonably adjusted they'd still have lots of issues with demons right (see: Levi) but IF Mammon did actually decide to save a random unconscious demon that means:

• he's unconsciously just kind (which has been established before)

• he's already more settled down in the devildom than the others (which has been implied through og om! lore & nightbringer promos)

• i just think it'd be so funny if he just unknowingly cares for mc like that's that man's default mode there's no escaping it

• Nightbringer happens after mc met them all as angels and made a significant impact in their life, enough so that even though they can't actually remember mc they dream about their presence. Could that feeling make it so MC seems at least distantly familiar to them?

• Mammon always has a significant "first" role in MC's life even in different AU devilgrams & events and he's just filling that role by saving their dumb ass

Look, I love me some spicy East Asian cuisine.

However.

I’m from the Carolinas, spent several years living in Louisiana, and therefore did not agree with the options the game presented. Any Obey Me fans who want to try something approaching devildom spice need to try:

Carolina Reaper in just about anything - it doesn’t have much flavor on its own, just shitloads of heat. I’d mix it up in a vinegar-based BBQ sauce and toss pulled pork in it, and you can cut the heat with applesauce if it’s too much. Actually, ema datshi with reaper or ghost pepper would be pretty good, I should try to make that.

Nashville chicken - ramp up the cayenne: brown sugar ratio for extra spice.

Gumbo, jambalaya, boudin sausage, or manque choux - again, you’re gonna be drowning your recipe with cayenne to make it spicy, and you can throw in a ghost pepper or Carolina Reaper if you want.

Just remember to wear gloves when you slice your peppers.

Basically Barbatos tells his version of events, how he became the Diavolo's Buttler

I knew he was young when they meet but I didn't think he was THAT young.. he was a child... That's really adorable 🥺🥺

Don't get me wrong, I know what Diavolo did was Bad but when Barbatos was basically the only person who gave him a little of His company when he was so Lonely as a child, I get It... I personally don't agree with the theories that say that Barbatos Is resentful about this whole arrangement, really, much less when I read this lesson...

these two are basically family, I love them so much, the way Barbatos talks about Diavolo makes my heart melt

Anyways, Barbatos *probably* told Thirteen why he's so mad at Solomon, really, I want to know too.....

(Also, Thirteen's favorite cakes are chocolate and strawberry, very important fact actually 💞)
