Okay y'all HEAR ME OUT
Jason Todd x male reader WITH the dynamic from The Boy and The Wolf in mind.
LIKE IMAGINE IT... The size difference.
I just need y'all to understand đŠ
Not only that The Wolf has a MOTORCYCLE and is a vigilante literally perfect
I would pounced on him so quick you have thought I was faster than Flash XD cause let me have a piece of that XD
you were staring. very unabashedly so, too. just⌠oogling your boyfriend, watching as he lounged on your couch, his black shirt fitted around bulging arms, the hem riding up around his tummy to reveal that line of thick black hair that dipped below his plaid pants.
oh my god, those stupid plaid pants. they made you wonder what the hell the hype was about grey sweats, when those existed.
and itâs not like you had anything to be ashamed about, either. he was your boyfriend, all six foot something of him, for fucks sake. all the thick muscles, and short cropped hair, and scars, and fuck, those eyes. you could look if you damn well wanted to.
youâd tried very hard to convince yourself all morning that you were fine, and definitely not ovulating, and fine.
but in that moment, watching your boyfriend literally just sit there, eyes shut and head tipped back, this was not you. it was some evil entity, possessing you and in full swing. you were ready to jump him, and it wasnât even ten in the morning yet.
your gaze kept dropping lower, toward those pecs, all soft and plush beneath the fabric of his tee, and you could feel yourself start to salivate.
it wasnât even anything provocative either, but the sight of his tits in a black shirt, tight over the unflexed muscle, was driving you up a god damned wall.
you curled your legs up beneath you, arm perching you against the back of the couch, the other pressed between the low of your thighs to physically retrain yourself from grabbing him like a deranged person.
because, no matter what you did, it was almost impossible to stop imagining just throwing yourself at him, and doing some entirely unspeakable things. things you know youâd never do unless it was this god forsaken time of month.
âyou good, ma?â Jason asked, finally breaking the tense silence, and drawing your attention away from his torso. he was staring back now, one brow raised quizzically, and his scared lip curled up in questioning.
âyour eyes are dilatinâ and shit.â
yeah. you got up, wordlessly, and walked toward the kitchen.

A Different Kind of Love
Pairing: Jason Todd (Red Hood) x Reader
Summary: Life as parents in Gotham isnât easy, especially when one of you is the infamous Red Hood and the other is trying to keep things together at home. But when itâs just the three of youâyour partner, your child, and yourselfâthe chaos of Gotham can feel a little less daunting. Jason Todd never thought heâd be a father, but with you by his side, heâs learning what it means to love unconditionally.
Warnings:
Parenthood and family fluff
Mild violence (Gotham-style crime-fighting, no explicit content)
Emotional moments
Mentions of Gothamâs dangerous environment
Gotham had a way of testing you, and Jason Todd knew that better than anyone. Heâd faced the cityâs worst criminals, had lived through death and resurrection, and still nothing had ever made him feel as vulnerable as the day he held his child for the first time.
It had been months since your daughter was born, and in that time, Jason had learned how to protect her just as fiercely as he protected you. But there was something else something softer and more terrifying than any criminal heâd faced: the overwhelming love he felt every time he saw her smile, every time she reached for him with her tiny hands.
He had never been good at emotions. His childhood was a wreck, and heâd never had the luxury of being part of a ânormalâ family. But with you, everything had changed. The little moments he shared with you and your daughter those were the things that made him believe there could be more to life than just surviving.
The sound of soft giggles drifted from the nursery, and Jasonâs lips twitched upward as he adjusted his helmet, finishing up the last of his nightly routine. He knew he shouldâve been out on patrol, but tonight, he had made a promise to stay home. Gotham would survive for a few hours without Red Hood especially when it meant he could be with you and the little one.
The door to the nursery creaked open, and there you were, standing in the doorway with your daughter in your arms. Her big eyes shone in the dim light, and when she saw Jason, her little face lit up in a grin.
"Hey, kiddo," Jason said, his voice unusually soft as he knelt down in front of her crib, taking in the sight of her tiny hands reaching toward him.
You watched from the doorway, smiling at the scene. Jason, the fierce vigilante who struck fear into the hearts of Gothamâs criminals, was completely undone by his little girl.
"I think sheâs ready for her bedtime story," you said, a playful hint in your voice. "But maybe she wants her dad to read it tonight."
Jason raised an eyebrow, glancing up at you. "Sheâll probably fall asleep halfway through, but you know what? Iâll take that as a challenge."
You laughed, and Jason gave you one of those rare, genuine smilesâone that he reserved only for you. He reached out for your daughter, taking her gently from your arms. His protective instincts kicked in as he cradled her against his chest, his strong arms instinctively holding her close, his fingers brushing over her tiny head with the utmost care.
"Alright, little one," Jason murmured, kissing the top of her head. "Letâs see if your old man can do this."
You leaned against the doorframe, watching as Jason settled down in the rocking chair, his daughter resting comfortably against his chest. For all the chaos in his life, for all the times heâd been pushed to the edge of his humanity, moments like these made him feel like he finally had something to fight for something to protect.
Jason cleared his throat, grabbing the book from the small shelf beside the chair. Youâd been reading bedtime stories to your daughter for months, but tonight, Jason was in charge.
"So, uh⌠This oneâs called The Brave Little Knight," Jason began, glancing at you for reassurance. "Donât expect too much, kid. Iâm not exactly a storybook kind of guy."
You smiled softly at his self-deprecating tone. Jason had never been good at this type of thing being soft, being gentle but for you and your daughter, he was trying. And that made your heart swell more than you could put into words.
As Jason read, his voice growing more confident with each sentence, your daughterâs eyes fluttered as she fought to stay awake. She was still young enough that the world was mostly about the comfort of your voices, the softness of your touch. But even now, Jason could see the spark of her growing personality in the way she tilted her head toward him, her tiny hands gripping his shirt like she was already trying to keep him close.
"You know," Jason said, his voice quieter now, his gaze softening as he looked down at the baby in his arms, "I never thought Iâd be here, doing this."
You leaned against the doorframe, heart in your throat. "What do you mean?"
He hesitated for a moment, his fingers gently brushing your daughterâs cheek as he kept reading. "I wasnât supposed to be anyoneâs father. After everything⌠after the way I grew up⌠I never thought Iâd be able to be the kind of dad she needs."
You stepped closer, resting a hand on his shoulder. He didnât look at you, but you could feel the weight of his words.
"Youâre exactly the kind of dad she needs, Jason," you said softly. "You might not have had the best role models, but youâre doing everything you can to be better for her. And thatâs all she needs. All we need."
Jason swallowed hard, looking down at your daughter as she began to drift off in his arms. "I just⌠I donât want to screw this up. I donât want her to go through the same things I did."
"You wonât," you assured him, your voice steady. "Weâre in this together. And no matter what happens, sheâll always know sheâs loved. Thatâs more than we had, right?"
Jason finally looked up at you, his eyes filled with a tenderness that was so raw it took your breath away. "Yeah," he whispered. "Youâre right."
He shifted in the chair, adjusting your daughter in his arms as she began to fall into a peaceful sleep. He kissed the top of her head and then looked back at you, his gaze softer than youâd ever seen it.
"Thank you," he murmured. "For giving me this. For giving us this."
You smiled and moved closer, brushing a hand through his hair. "I didnât do it alone, Jason. Youâre a great father. And sheâs lucky to have you."
Jason nodded, his lips quirking into a small, almost hesitant smile. "Iâm lucky to have you."
And in that moment, with the quiet hum of the night surrounding you, the chaos of Gotham seemed miles away. In that small, safe space, everything felt right. Just the three of you, holding onto each other as a family.
Jason Todd, Red Hood and protector of Gotham, was learning that love had a way of healing even the deepest wounds. And for him, that love was right here small, fragile, but unbreakable.

======
It was all quiet pants and silent tears.Â
The holidays had rolled around and the two of you were staying at Wayne Manor for the week. A classic Gotham storm raged outside, snow gently falling as lightning flashed through the closed curtains of Jasonâs room. Thunder shook the house, momentarily deafening what was happening.Â
You and Jason were always recklessly in love. So, no wonder you couldnât keep your hands to yourselves for more than a day. The only problem was volume. And shit, could Jason make you lose your voice moaning and crying out his name. On the other hand, it would be sucky to be caught by one of his brothers, let alone Alfred or BruceâŚÂ
âGotta stay quiet, baby.. Can you do that for me?â Was what he murmured in your ear before you got started.Â
He was slow, loving with his slow but deep thrusts. His dick hitting that spot within you that made your back arch and nails drag down his back, leaving angry red streaks in their wake. Fuck, he knew how to make your head spin.Â
Tears streaked down your cheeks, shallow breaths leaving your parted lips. Jason ate it up, kissing and nipping along your neck. Tasting your skin and groaning into your neck to keep his own noises to a minimum. Calloused hands gripping your thighs to haul them up around his waist to get a better angle. The whine you let out was quickly muffled by his lips capturing yours in a deep kiss. âShhh.. I know, ma, I know..â He mumbled against your mouth.Â
As he had your lips captured, his hands moved up. Pulling you up into an arch by your waist before wrapping his arms around. Shoving his arms between you and the bed. Chest to chest, arms hugging your middle like he was scared youâd slip away. When he finally pulled away to breathe, his forehead dropped to your shoulder. Hot breath fanning across your skin making a shiver run up your spine.Â
âOh shitâŚâ You breathed, hand coming up to drag through his dark hair. Gripping with shaky fingers, lightly tugging, making Jason practically growl into your skin. Brows pinched in pleasure as tears fell back into your hairline. Every roll of his hips takes your breath away and makes you tremble. His fingers dug into your back as he squeezed you tighter.Â
Fire.. that's what you felt. Crawling beneath your skin, licking at your core making your stomach flip. Pushing you closer and closer to your high with every thrust, sharp breath, and moan. Trying to keep quiet. Desperately. But it was so difficult with how overwhelming it was. The thrill of accidentally being too loud. Passionate tenderness that made your head spin and tears prick your eyes. In a vulnerable state of intense pleasure and connection. All while your loving boyfriend whispered sweet nothings into your skin. âThatâs it, ma..Iâve got you.. Just let go, Iâve got you..âÂ
Flushed and blissed out, your head pressed back to the pillows. Whimpering an, âOh my god..â into the darkness of the room. Maybe a little too loud than you shouldâveâŚÂ
Jason was quick to remedy your loss of volume control. His hand coming up to cover your mouth, his other arm still securely holding you to him. While he loved how wrecked you sounded, he didnât want to get caught..You breathed harshly through your nose as you let out a ragged moan that got muffled by his palm. âBaby, baby.. Gotta keep it down..â He murmured, voice laced with desire.
Despite his words, he picked up the pace a little, rocking against you with more intensity. Hitting harder, somehow it felt deeper too. Eyes squeezed shut as you tried to focus on your pleasure and keep your moans down.Â
Pressing closer, practically suffocating you with his weight. Draping himself over you like a protective blanket made up of over two hundred pounds of muscle. His hand left your mouth to grip the pillow next to your head. His head dropping once more, groaning right into your ear. âCâmon, ma..â You were so closeâŚ
You choked and pressed your face to his neck. Letting out a strangle moan you muffle against his skin. Finally reaching that peak. It wasnât fast and strong like it usually would be. The kind that would have you moaning shamelessly and crying out his name. No.. This twisted your spine and burned through your veins. Making you choke on your own air and hold your breath. Crashing over your body like waves on an ocean shore. Tensing as you gripped him where you could. Pawing desperately at his skin for purchase as fat tears rolled down your cheeks.Â
Then you let out a sob of raw pleasure, still muffled against his skin. Shaking as you rode out your high. Thighs trembling around his waist as your body pulsed with the aftershocks. He slowed down for a moment, cooing softly in your ear and pressing kisses to your tear-stained cheeks as he helped you ride out your orgasm.Â
When you finally calmed down enough, he took your chin in hand, âYeah..?â He mumbled to you. Seeking permission, seeing if he could be selfish now. Chase his pleasure. All you could do was tighten your legs around his waist again and nod weakly. Arms pulling him closer once more. âYeah..â He quickly sought out your lips, locking you in a deep and needy kiss as he picked up the pace again.Â
Panting and pressing as deep as he could. His groans went straight into your mouth as he chased his release. He wasnât far behind. His hips stuttered before he let out a strangled moan, âBaby..â he grumbled against your lips. Giving a few short thrusts as he finished. Jason finally broke the kiss with a heavy sigh. A string of saliva connected you still before he licked his lips. âFuck, you did so good for me..â He praised softly as he caressed your cheek. Thumbs wiping away the tears.Â
âFuck yeah, I did..â You gave a tired smirk. He paused before he gave a slow smirk of his own.Â
âAs if, you were loud as hell.â
âShut upâŚâ
Can I request headcanon of Jason Todd/Red Hood (Under the Red Hood movie) being with fem s/o who can magically heal just about anything no matter how severe the wounds are and how deadly the diseases, but she can't heal herself; she is serene, gentle and soft spoken please?
I think Jason Todd deserves the world, so yes, I shall! Thank you for the request!
The door slamming open and shut had become a sound you were used to. Months ago it would have startled you, made you jump nearly out of your skin, especially given the area you found yourself living in. Now, however, the sound was almost comforting to you.
The slam of the door meant your boyfriend was home, alive, but from the sluggish sound of his footsteps, not uninjured. You paused what you were doing, carefully chopping vegetables for the stew you had been planning on making.
You set the knife down, washing your hands rather quickly, before making your way into the living room. Sure enough, Jason was sat on the couch, having taken his helmet off himself, sweaty and breathing heavily, his eyes shut.
His hair was nearly plastered to his forehead, and he didn't open his eyes to your entrance, despite hearing your footsteps grow closer. You took stock of his appearance, cuts and fresh bruises lined his cheeks, and you were sure there were other injuries beneath his armor if the thin trail of blood from your doorway was any indicator.
"You should see the other guy," Was the first sentence he offered you, lips curled in an attempt of a smirk, but his labored breathing made it appear more of a grimace.
"I'd rather not waste my time looking at dead bodies," Despite your worry, you joked back, voice soft as you knelt down in front of him.
He cracked open his eyes, sighing as he took in your sight. Your eyebrows were furrowed with worry, eyes raking over his appearance, no doubt calculating just how injured he was. He shifted, leaning towards you, prying a glove off before caressing your cheek, thumb softly brushing the cheek bone.
"I'm fine."
You rolled your eyes, rather used to hearing that line fall from his lips, "You and I both know that's a lie," You stood up, hands on your hips, "Take the armor off."
He raised an eyebrow, trying to deflect your concern, "Take me to dinner first."
You barely rose to the bait, "Dinner will be ready sooner if you let me treat your injuries without a fight."
The two of you stared at each other for a silent moment, before he relented. He had never thought he'd meet someone whose stubbornness outweighed his, and he never would have thought that someone as sweet as you could be harder-headed than him.
"Alright, alright," He hated that he was struggling to remove his own armor, muscles sore and screaming at him.
You shook your head as he dropped his clothes onto the ground, stepping forward, tender hands pressing gently to his skin. You started on his face first, palms cupping his jaw, and he relaxed into your hold, the warmth of your hands fighting the nippy cold from outside that still lingered in his bones.
You made a soft tsk, and he felt the odd sensation of the cuts on his cheek closing themselves up, not having to open his eyes to know that your gaze was unwavering, eyes glowing inhumanly, the color a brighter hue of the normal ones he fell in love with.
"The scars will fade quickly," You murmured, voice low as you moved your hands from his face, gently pressing against his shoulders, biceps, forearms, taking assessment of the damage.
He opened his eyes to watch you, a smile forming on his face as you continued muttering to yourself, cursing him for trying to hide his injuries, easily reversing the damage that had occurred to him hours before.
"Jason Todd," You scolded, pressing your hands against his ribs, eyes narrowing into a glare, "You were going to hide broken ribs from me?"
He chuckled sheepishly, "I've handled worse."
"Doesn't mean you have to now," He felt energy buzz under his skin, sucking in a quick breath as he felt his ribs fuse back together, "I'll do whatever I can to make sure of that."
He knew that, he knows that. But more often than not he feels as if he's taking advantage of you, of your abilities. He didn't know if your powers made you selfless, or if your selflessness manifested your powers. But he does know that you would run yourself ragged if it meant you could help every injured or ill-ridden person you came across.
He didn't want to admit it to anyone, let alone the rest of the stupid bird family of his, but he did go out of his way now to avoid massive injuries. If he came back with just a few scratches or bruises, he could talk you out of healing him, telling you paper cuts hurt worse than the injuries he had now.
He had less luck when he came home with cracked bones or bullet holes. He knew, and you knew, he would heal faster than normal thanks to the Lazarus Pit, but your powers worked almost instantly. You'd rather heal him immediately, rather than let him set for a few hours, body healing itself.
In a matter of five minutes, all his injuries were gone, leaving nothing but dried blood and faint scaring in their places. You sat back on your heels, eyes their normal shade, smiling up at him.
"There you are," You stood, leaning to place a soft, quick kiss to his lips, pulling back to run a hand through his hair, "Good as new."
"You enjoy playin' doctor, huh?"
The blush on your cheeks had him grinning like mad, and you rolled your eyes to avoid eye contact. He caught your hand in his, resting your knuckles against his lips, "Thanks doll."
You went to move, more than likely heading back to finish tonight's meal, but a flash of white caught his eye, and he grabbed your hand, turning it palm up. You stood, eyebrow raised in confusion as he ran his fingers across your skin gently, feeling the rough bandage across your palm.
"What happened?"
Your lips formed a quick 'o', grinning almost sheepishly, "I nicked myself cutting the carrots a bit earlier," You let him fiddle with your hand, your fingers for a moment longer, shrugging, "It's fine, I dressed it."
"I wish you could heal yourself."
He had found himself saying that so many times, wishing you could use your abilities selfishly. You healed him, no questions asked. You used to babysit some of the kids in the area, kissing away scraps and bruises under the guise that kisses healed everything when they looked at you in wonder. You held injured birds, cats, and dogs in the alleyways, taking care of their illnesses brought by hunger, correcting broken wings and crooked paws like it was as simple as breathing.
But whenever you were injured, struck down by a fever, found yourself in a situation where you needed help, you were helpless to do anything for yourself.
Your powers, Jason thought, were a blessing and a curse.
You shrugged, "Even if I could, wasting my abilities on a little cut? I'm fine."
His gaze met yours, and you understood the look he was giving you. You were repeating his own sentiments to him now, but you stood by it. Even if you could heal yourself, there were others who needed your energy and powers more than you did. Why would you have been born with this power if not to help others?
That's the notion you were raised on, and while Jason wanted you to put yourself first, protect yourself over strangers in the streets, he also knew that mindset was why the two of you met.
No one else would have rushed to the side of a downed Red Hood in the streets, covered in a mixture of his blood and the blood of those he killed. Everyone else would have run off or ignored him, but you rushed to his side, not asking questions, not trying to remove his hood or armor, hands placed where ever you could put them, and before he knew it, the dizziness brought on by blood loss was gone.
The rest was history.
He stood up, "Let me redress it at least," He squeezed your hand gently, "A lifetime of healing and you don't even know how to properly apply a band-aid."
You pouted but laughed along as he dragged you behind him to the bathroom, the first aid kit he forced you to buy still laying out on the counter.
You chattered away, talking about how your day had been, the kittens you saw coming back from the store earlier, how you got rid of their flea-ridden infections, and how you went back a few hours later and set up a box with some blankets in it for them. You mentioned keeping an eye on them, and bringing them home if no one claimed them in the next few days. He listened intently, cleaning the cut and dabbing some neosporin on it, wishing he could do more for your injuries, regardless of how small there were.
He'd do whatever he was able to though, wrapping any cuts you got, icing any bruises that appeared, he'd carry you everywhere if you required him to. He'd do that for as long as you'd let him.
Sorry, I had no idea how to end it. I hope you liked it!
Little spoon. Jason Todd little spoons and it's partly because he's touch starved (can you all tell I adopted this headcanon as canon?), but also because no matter where the bed in a room is located, he needs to be able to be in front of you, and face the door.
You need to be behind him, and he needs his arms free and able to grab his guns, or any weapon really, if anyone were dumb enough to break into the room, trying to catch him by surprise.
This becomes more difficult if there are windows involved, but he solves that by ensuring whatever safe house or apartment you stay at doesn't have a bedroom window. Dreary? Maybe. But it helps ease his paranoia if he only has to worry about one entrance way.
That's the only thing he'll admit to.
But he always relaxes in a loving embrace, the warmth of another person behind him, soft and slow breaths tickling the back of his neck, a relaxed and steady heartbeat against his back. The hold reminds him he's not alone, that he's loved and desired.
If you can, would you mind doing some fluff headcanons, about being domestic with Jason Todd? Perhaps timeline of him understanding he loves you, how he came to terms with that. The relationship growing, you two moving in together, if or how it leads up to marriage etcâŚ
First Date
Jason hadn't been on many dates or any at all, so safe to say he was nervous when you two went on your first date. I'm talking - was up late looking up places to go, what to talk about, what types of dates were the best for first dates, did he bring you flowers? Did he bring you chocolates? Did he walk you to your door? Or would that be creepy?
He was not going to go to his family the others for advice. Dick would pull his weird, overly emotional, big brother gimmick and be hanging on Jason, wailing about how his little wing was all grown up. Despite being shorter and smaller than Jason. Tim would hold it over his head like blackmail till the day Jason died - again. Damien would find the whole thing ridiculous and give him weird, textbook, medical advice. And Bruce Wayne was notorious for not knowing how to properly show emotions, so that was out.
It left Alfred, who told him, and I quote, "Just be yourself, Master Jason." Safe to say Jason felt like he was back to square one.
He managed to settle on a day full of activities: he took you to lunch at one of his favorite little diners. He had known the owner since he was a little street rat, the woman used to collect all their leftover food and hand it out to those that would crowd around their back door. It was never a lot, but it was more kindness than any kid on Crime Alley was ever shown. No one messed with them, unless they wanted an army of angry, hungry street rats going after them.
The food was also really good. So there was that.
You ate lunch, and he found talking to you was easy. You laughed at his stupid jokes and he thought you were the most clever person he'd ever met. The banter flew naturally, and he found himself relaxing more around you than he had anyone in the past few years.
After lunch, whatever plan he had had gone out the window, and you two merely walked around different stores, stopping for ice cream, people-watching at the park, and talking as if you two had been close for far longer than you had. The date itself lasted for almost seven hours, and neither of you grew tired of the other.
Meeting His Family
Everyone was well aware of the number of people who wanted to grow close to any of Bruce Wayne's kids or wards to try and grow close to the elusive rich man. For some of them, it made dating hard.
You, however, did not care in the slightest who Jason's family was.
Initially, you had assumed he didn't talk to his family, considering how he avoided topics and discussions of them. You respected that, not wanting to pry. You had your own family issues that were a sore subject.
So the day he came to you asking if you'd like to have dinner at his father's house, you were a bit shocked to find yourself on the back of Jason's motorcycle, pulling up to the Wayne Manor.
After the initial shock wore off, and you passively scolding your boyfriend for being so vague about how to dress, you two entered.
You met Alfred first, and you were easily charmed by the kind yet no-nonsense man. He found you to be quite charming as well, someone kind and, from what he's seen, able to help Jason see the better days ahead, the better side of himself, and allow him grace at seeing the boyish smile Alfred worried he'd never see on the boy again.
Safe to say you had Alfred' approval, which truly, was the most important person to have on your side.
Surprisingly, you met Bruce next. He was, safe to say, awkward. He had learned of his son's partner literally days prior and was so worried about not only ensuring you weren't someone who was going to hurt Jason in any way but also wanting to ensure you were someone strong enough to handle Jason's... extracurricular activities even if you didn't know of them yet.
Jason was worried upon meeting Bruce freaking Wayne you'd panic, or not sure how to act as many people did upon meeting his father. You kept your cool though, and Jason could tell your minor disdain stemmed from how he had spoken of the man. You were standing between the pair, only speaking highly of Jason, how he was an amazing man despite all the... flaws in his past. Even Bruce knew that was a shot at him. Watching you so readily defend him against someone as influential as Bruce had Jason follow you with star eyes for the rest of the night.
Bruce realized, after a quick background search, he had nothing to worry about.
Meeting his brothers went off exactly how you'd think. Dick cried about his baby brother growing up and becoming a man, Tim was shocked someone would date Jason, let alone stay with him for longer than a week, "I mean, you've seen how he cleans up after himself!" Damien was more indifferent towards you, you were his brother's girlfriend, and he felt as if his opinions on you shouldn't matter. Though after you and Titus interacted so kindly he felt warmer to you than he had before, but that wasn't because he liked you.
Moving In Together
This happened gradually. You had clothes over at his place for whenever you spent the night, he bought you the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash you enjoyed, you had your own towel and washcloth set in his bathroom, a toothbrush in the holder.
Eventually, though, you talked about it because it was becoming pointless to pay rent for a place you barely went to.
That conversation was sparked when, one cold night, you found a stash of your favorite teas, honey, sugars, and cream in his kitchen, along with colorful mugs you knew weren't his. The small things he did to ensure you felt comfortable there made you know you were ready.
Moving the rest of your stuff over didn't take long - considering it felt like half of your stuff was already there. Moving in together did bring a few bumps and bruises, it was harder to hide that he went out for long periods of time and often came back with bruises and cuts.
You did get on him a lot about taking care of his dishes and clothes, but you two talked and came up with systems of ensuring the apartment stayed cozy and mostly clean.
That's all I have for it. I feel like living with him would be so nice.
Finding Out He's Red Hood
Okay, like I said, it's harder to hide how often he goes out and how often he has bruises and cuts and stitches.
You, also, are not an idiot.
The placement of where your shared apartment is, Jason's disappearances lining up with times the Red Hood is spotted out and about, the injuries he's sustained.
He was either the Red Hood or happened to be a goon fighting the Red Hood every night who never learned his lesson.
So... Red Hood.
You have to bring it up, cause he still thinks you're blissfully ignorant. He's the shocked Pikachu meme when you tell him. Can't even come up with a valid reason to deny it. So he doesn't.
You two talk, and he confirms what you already know, and then the panic sets in. You know his identity, one of the most important secrets he has as the Red Hood. Did you figure out about the others? Would you leave him? Would you threaten to spill?
You just shrugged, nodding at him with an, "Okay."
You had known for a while, you admitted and never knew if you should bring it up or not. Then you admitted how you'd been trying to study up on first aid, wanting to be able to help him anytime he got him. You'd bought items online to practice stitching wounds and had worked on making a stash of medical supplies in the bathroom, bandages, absorbent pads, antiseptic wipes, gauzes, etc.
You couldn't be his "guy in the chair", and you didn't see yourself joining him in the vigilante lifestyle (he also wouldn't have wanted you to do that), but you wanted to be there for him and support him however you could.
When He First Says I Love You
Like I mentioned before, he knew he loved you for a while, but never said anything. You had said it first, truly, and were respectful that he hadn't responded immediately. You knew of his past, his secret identity, his family, etc., so you knew that coming right out with an "I Love You" wasn't on his agenda.
But the day he did say it, that's exactly what he did. Came right out with it.
It was a cool day, rainy and cloudy. He had made you both hot chocolate, the kind Alfred taught him how to make, and you were both cozied up in his living room, watching some live-action adaptation of one of his favorite books.
You made a comment, voicing one of his thoughts, about how they left out some of the best comments from the book and it made the whole movie feel far quicker paced than it should have been.
You hadn't read the book, but he had ranted to you about it, telling you about his annotations and thoughts about the cast and directors and producers they had hired for the movie.
Your comment was proof enough you had not only listened to him rant and rave about the book, but remember what he had said.
As you were glaring at the TV with the credits rolling, he was staring at you.
And just said it.
"I love you."

From this template
A : Affectionate How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?
He shows affection in small ways that just never end, not in an annoying way. His love languages are definitely physical affection (he's touch-starved), quality time (he spent so much of his childhood alone, physically or not), and words of affirmation. I talk about the physical stuff further down, but he also loves just being in the same room as you. If you're in college and studying or doing homework he's there with you, silent, just enjoying your presence, stepping in whenever you need a break (hypocrite). He praises you for the smallest thing, you got a C+ on a paper and feel down? That professor's an idiot, Lois Lane would publish a paper like that. You look beautiful in that outfit, doesn't matter how often he's seen you in it, you always look amazing.
B : Best Friend What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?
I can see the friendship starting slowly, you two meet probably somewhere like a bookstore or coffee shop. You're looking at a book he likes and he comments, and the two of you start talking. You don't exchange info, just happen to meet up there a few times before you start talking outside of the bookshop. It's definitely a warm, and open friendship. You can banter back and forth, pick up conversations like two weeks hadn't passed, etc.
C : Cuddles Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?
Jason in two words: touch starved. He tries to be nonchalant about it, but he has to be touching you in some way. Arm around your shoulders, leaning against your side, holding your hand, you holding his arm, etc. His two favorites are when you lay on his chest, you're like a living, beautiful weighted blanket, and when you let him lay on your chest, listening to your heart beat, feeling your breath under his chest, your fingers carding through his hair. He's like an overgrown cat.
D : Domestic Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?
He does not actively realize he wants to settle down, but he cannot see his future without you. To him it doesn't matter if you have kids, don't have kids, get married, don't get married, stay in Gotham, move, etc. He just wants you next to him. As for cooking-- I cannot see him being an excellent cook. He either forgets to eat, or makes instant ramen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He, however, doesn't want you to feel like you have to do everything, so he learns how to cook basic meals for the two of you, and luckily, he's decent at cleaning. The mess reminds him too much of his house growing up, and he doesn't want to feel that around you.
E : Ending If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?
In a serious relationship I can only see Jason breaking up with their partner due to him fearing for their safety. He'd also do it fast, like breakup with you, give you a half-assed reason, and then flee. He wouldn't answer your texts or calls, but he'd always make sure you were safe. He just feels you're safer without him.
F : FiancĂŠ How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?
He doesn't actively plan on getting married, but he wants you in his life forever. He goes by your flow once you're together for a longer period of time. You wanna get married? He's down on one knee. Want a big wedding? He's guilting Bruce into paying for everything. Want a small wedding? Still making Bruce pay. Courthouse? Already driving you two there. How quick would depend on you, two years in and you want a ring? He's taking Babs out to help him look. Seven years and you mention the courthouse? Well you're both free Wednesday, wanna go then?
G : Gentle How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?
Jason Todd is a huge teddy bear. He knows he's big, he's strong, he's intimidating, and most of the time he doesn't mind that. With you though? Doesn't matter how strong you are, he's gonna treat you like glass. Not because he doesn't think you can handle yourself, he just never wants to hurt you in any way, shape, or form. He never raises his voice at you, never raises a hand, never even thinks of doing either of those.
H : Hugs Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?
Like I said, touch-starved. If he could have you in his arms all the time he would. Any time you're fine with it-- cause if you needed space or no touch he'd oblige, and not make a fuss about it cause hey he respects your boundaries-- he's got you in his arms. His hugs make you feel like nothing can hurt you, you're protected in his arms, leaning against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
I : I Love You How fast do they say the L-word?
I can definitely see him taking a bit to say it, not because he doesn't love you, but because saying it feels really real to him. However, when he comes to fully realize, know, and accept that he loves you, he says it without realizing it and doesn't blink while you're reeling. After that, he ends every conversation with an "I love you", and sometimes randomly gives you a quick kiss with a "love you".
J : Jealousy How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?
It's strange for him because, on the one hand, he trusts you. Like, really, really trusts you. He'd hand you his guns if you so much as asked, not needing anything else. However, he does get jealous. Specifically cause he loves your attention, and when it's on someone else for too long and he feels ignored, the man deflates. His brothers think it's hilarious to steal your attention from him and watch him get all pouty. The big bad Red Hood is pouting cause his partner is talking to his brothers and not him.
K : Kisses What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?
Kissing Jason makes you feel like you're wrapped up in a warm blanket, protected, loved, and like you're the most important person to walk on the earth. Regardless of how quick and small they are, or how hot and heavy they can become. He loves to kiss you on the lips, the cheek, and the forehead. He feels that's the best way to convey how much he loves you. As for him, he loves it when you press gentle kisses on his hands, his palms, or his knuckles. It makes him feel soft, it makes him feel safe. He won't say that, though, so you better pick up on his little smile every time you do.
L : Little Ones How are they around children?
He's the kind of guy who says they don't like kids, that they're snot-nosed and annoying. Yet he's so soft with them. He kneels down to their level to talk to them, never talks to them like they're dumb or babies, always makes sure they are able to show or say their boundaries and he respects them. He volunteered once with you at a library with the poorer kids and read to them, going out of his way to make funny voices, letting them climb all over his lap, tug his hair, etc.
M : Morning How are mornings spent with them?
He's not a morning person. Odds are you're up before him and he tries holding you in bed, pleading that he just needs five more minutes with you. You can bribe him out of bed with breakfast and coffee, however.
N : Night How are nights spent with them?
More of a night owl, and you two often stay up late, talking in hushed whispers about anything and everything. He likes it when he makes you laugh when you're tired and giggly and find him hilarious. Odds are he's not a morning person cause you two stay up late.
O : Open When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?
He wouldn't open up quickly. That's just not really the Batfamily tradition. You'd be dating for a while, and one night he'd probably have a rough night. Aggressive thugs out and about, hurt kids, bad memories. You'd just hold him, you wouldn't pry or ask questions, just let him relax into you. And he'd spill. About his mom. About Willis. About meeting Bruce. About his relationship with his brothers. Dying. Coming back. His feelings. Everything.
P : Patience How easily angered are they?
He used to have a horrible temper, and everyone knew. With you? He wanted to change that. You were never the reason he was mad: upset? Sometimes, sure. But he loves you, so he worked on himself. He worked on communication, talking to you when you did something or said something. He learned healthier ways to manage his anger, as to never take it out on you.
Q : Quizzes How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?
Jason remembers when his mom started forgetting small things about him, forgetting holidays and birthdays, and as a kid he never said anything, but it hurt. It hurt a lot when she forgot how old he was because she missed his past few birthdays. So he makes sure he remembers everything about you. You once mentioned this cafĂŠ opening you saw online? He takes you there on opening day-- five months later. You changed from gold to silver or silver to gold? He picks up on it and changes the jewelry he buys you accordingly.
R : Remember What is their favorite moment in your relationship?
He's got two. One, when you learned about him being Red Hood. He was worried about your response, knowing it was a dangerous life. But you just told him to promise you he'd always come back to you, and you learned how to patch up different kinds of wounds without telling him to help him however you could. Just you worrying about his safety made his heart flutter. Two, when you learned who his father was. He was used to people wanting to be close to him and his siblings because of Bruce-- riches and influence. You didn't care, at all. "Oh. Your dad's Bruce Wayne? Cool. Do you want lo-mien or ramen for dinner?"
S : Security How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?
Super protective. I think we can all agree on that. He's seen the worst of the worst people, seeing people hurt and injured. He never wants you to be in those positions. You'd move in with him eventually, his apartment was probably one of the safest places in Gotham. He tracked you, with your consent of course, and you understood. You tracked his phone too, cause he knows you worry as well. As for you protecting him, he likes it when you hold him after nightmares or rough nights, telling him everything's going to be okay, and just being there for him.
T : Try How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?
A lot. But he does his best not to show it. Oh, you have a dream date you have a Pinterest board for? Well, he's searching high and low on how to make that date happen. You've always wanted to go to Paris? London? Brazil? Guess where you're going for your two year anniversary. He tucks you in whenever you nap or sleep, bookmarks your pages for you so you never lose your page, and makes sure he always has your favorite drinks in the fridge.
U : Ugly What would be some bad habits of theirs?
Self-sacrificing and shutting down. He has a hard time letting people help him, feeling like if he lets people help then he's not strong enough to take care of you. It upsets you whenever he does that, but in a way you get it. It's something you two work on.
V : Vanity How concerned are they with their looks?
His concern is mostly whenever you get worried about him. The bags under his eyes, the half-treated cuts and bruises. He takes better care of himself after dating you because whenever you worry about him like that it hurts his heart too. He gets a better shower schedule, sleeps better, eats more than take out and protein.
W : Whole Would they feel incomplete without you?
I think towards the beginning of your relationship he would do his best to remain independent. He knew the pain of being alone, being left, being forgotten, and he did his best to avoid that, but he also wouldn't want to wish that upon you if anything happened. However, as your relationship grows and continues you truly become the light of his life, and his day isn't complete if he doesn't talk to you at least once.
X : Xtra A random headcanon for them.
He talks in his sleep. Sometimes, on bad nights, he's crying, nightmares from his memories, and fears of losing you or seeing his family die in front of him because, despite it all, he still cares about them. On good days he mutters the most random crap, and you have videos of him arguing with some made up person from his dreams over food or clothes.
Y : Yuck What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?
He wouldn't like conceited people, confident sure, but cocky? No. He dealt with Bruce's rich "friends" too much to deal with that. He wouldn't want someone to coddle him, baby him, he wants to be taken care of sure, but not at the expense of a partner treating him like he's incapable of doing anything.
Z : Zzz What is a sleep habit of theirs?
If he could stay up all night talking to you, looking at you, he would. You, however, enjoy sleeping. You feel like you have to fight him to be in bed before three AM, and deal with the fact that he and Tim are far closer in how much coffee they drink than Jason would ever admit.

iâm just going to scooch in here and put cowboy jason todd right here if u donât mind đ¤˛đ˝
Jason Todd loves kissing you.
But even more than that⌠he loves you kissing him. Loves it when you hold onto his face, press kisses along the fat of his cheeks and his temples, the sides of his nose⌠loves when you pull him flush against your body just to shower him in your affection.Â
On days where the world is a little kinder to him, and he comes home neither battered nor bruised, he loves tearing off his mask and reaching for you immediatelyâhands wrapping around your hips, lips chasing after yours. The sweat and humidity of hunting bad guys in places where heat prevails, even with the nightâs chill, leaves his hair curlier (and dare you argue fluffier). When Jason returns all your lovinâ with his own affection the fluff of his hair tickles you and you scrunch up your face and laugh, and he laughs, and itâs justâŚ
Pure bliss.
Jason Todd // shark week
Pairing: Jason Todd x fem!reader â fluff â ~700 words
Jason Todd finds you sniffling over your phone one night.Â
It's nearing the ungodly hours of the morning when he finally returns, lugging himself over the fire escape and cracking open your window.Â
He's got one leg in your room when he freezes. You. Your form, on the bedâcurled up, sniffling, shakingâyouâre crying, he realises, and that gets him moving faster than you could acknowledge that heâs back.Â
You startle at the feel of his hands wrapped around your shoulders, dropping your phone in surprise. âRedhâJay? Whatâsââ
âTalk to me.â Jason says, voice crackling through his vocalizer. He still has the helmet on, and the way he practically shoves himself into your view makes your head spin.
âWhatâs going on, Jay?â You croak, âHow was patrol?â
He shakes his head, moving to your side, hovering over you less. âTalk to me, honey, c'mon. What happened?â
âNo, itâsââ You sniffle, âWas just on the phone, waiting for you.â
âYâknow you donât gotta do that, baby,â he grunts, and you shoot him an unimpressed look. You've been over this; he knows you do it because you want to. âPhone got you crying? Sâthere someone I need to talk to?â
You huff out a watery laugh, âGod, no, I was watching some videos. Got me emotional is all. Sâ shark week.â
He crosses his arms. Under his helmet, heâs probably giving you an unimpressed look as well. Eyebrows arched and everything. The thought makes you giggle, âHonest, babyâhere, lemme show you.â
As you reach for your phone on the floor, Jason removes his helmet, shrugs off his gear. (Thereâs little to no scratches on him tonight, you note.) Heâs about to take his shirt off when he sees you eyeing him impatiently, patting your thigh.
âOutside clothes, hun.â
You pout at him.Â
He sighs, and relents. His feet shuffle against the carpet as he moves to curl against you on your side of the bed. You scoot over a little to make space for him, eagerly tapping through your phone to show him the wholesome dog videos you were watching.
âLookit this guy,â you urge, âsaved his owner in a robbery, can you believe it? Almost got hurt in the process, too.â
Jason huffs, sounding half-relieved and half-amused. âYeah?â
âYeah! And this little guyââ you swipe to another video, âLook, Jay, isnât she so sweet? I could cry!â
âMhmm, I bet,â he says.Â
When you glance at him heâs already watching you, a faint smile on his lips. You feel your cheeks flush.
âWhat, not gonna make fun of me?â You joke. Jason looks utterly offended.Â
âNever,â he murmurs, âyâknow Iâd never. Not like this.â
âAww,â you bump your shoulder against his, fighting the giddiness that threatens to consume you. You love this man. âSpecial treatment for the special occasion?â
Jasonâs body shakes as he huffs a laugh into your neck, âFor my special girl, yeah. Yâstill hurting?â
âMmh, not anymore.âÂ
âWant something warm?â He asks, leaning further into your side, âI can make you hot chocolateâŚâ
âThe way Alfred makes them?â You quip, perking up.
âYeah, sure,â He says, âor I could go grab something for you, if youâre craving anything.â
âIn the middle of the night? I donât know if anything would be open, Jaybird,â he pinches you when you poke him, but sighs affectionately as you burrow into his side. âPlus, youâre plenty warm yourself.â
âYâknow I still gotta go shower, hun.â
âAww, boo.âÂ
Thereâs a chuckle that makes you smile, and Jason presses his nose to the top of your head, inhaling your scent. Setting your phone aside, you turn to face him fully. He doesnât get a chance to sass you when you press your lips to his cheek, then nose, then jaw, trailing kisses all over.
A warm blush dusts his cheeks when youâre done, and he canât meet your eyes when he asks, âWhatâs this for?âÂ
You grin up at him, âGotta thank you, Jay.âÂ
âOh yeah? Whatâve I done?âÂ
Eyes rolling playfully, you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him closer for another kiss. Jason meets you halfway, his own hands settling around your waist.Â
âWelcome back,â you murmur against his lips, âthanks for coming home safe and sound, Jay.â
He grins, almost shy, entirely boyish, âFor my special girl, always.â

A/N: I finally figured out a song to base this chapter off, Iâm sorry I went so off with their conversation and didnât really get anywhere with it, I just really want them to bond and I donât think ahead of writing I just start and see where it takes me, I know this can be really boring but I want this to be a LONG fic and a slow burn and that canât happen if the whole plot happens in two chapters so bare with me please!
TWS: slow burn, angst, blood, canon violence, mentions of death, anxiety, jealousy, friends to friends with benefits to enemies to lovers?, maybe death of a main character (haven't decided yet) change of plot
Keep in mind that English is not my first language, I also know nothing about guns, human anatomy or fighting in the language so I'm sorry if I make a lot of mistakes

You felt a throbbing pain in your head and started slowly opening your eyes and becoming aware of your surroundings, you were trying to figure out how long you had slept for since according to the sky it was night now and you didn't know if it was the next day now or if you had just slept some hours, now that you think of it, you didn't actually remember falling asleep either, well thats what happens when you cry too much after not sleeping for two days i guess, you decided that you would really love a glass of water right now and started making your way to the kitchen, you hoped no one was awake or at home, after your whole emotional moment with Bruce and Alfred you realized how embarrassing it had been to cry your heart out in front of someone who did not even know you and how much of a big deal you had made things that seriously were not that deep, then you cried more of embarrassment, and then you realized how much of a baby you were being, and realized you were really sleep deprived and really needed some sleep.
You arrived to the kitchen and just as luck would have it, there was no other than Jason Todd, the guy who had to awkwardly witness a girl he didn't know sob her eyes out but while thinking about it you realized that making it a bigger deal than it was would only make it actually embarrassing and would probably ruin any chance of friendship with that guy so you decided that you would let it go and it had never happened.
Jason didn't acknowledge you at all, he was too concentrated on eating what he had cooked for himself earlier and honestly he didn't seem like a very social guy so you just let him be.
You reached for a glass but then decided that maybe you should grab a thermos so you could bring it to your room and not have to make your way over to the kitchen every time you were thirsty, the noise made Jason acknowledge you but he just gave you a nod while he looked at you and you just returned it, you went to fill the water and you could still feel Jason staring at you, the environment was really awkward and Jason looked like he wanted to say something, or maybe he just wanted you to leave, well, this was your chance to talk to him, if he didn't want to talk to you back then you would just let him be, no harm in trying to make friends in your own home.
"Aren't you supposed to be out there with Bruce?" you asked him
He shook his head and pointed to his ribcage "got stabbed, Bruce wouldn't allow me to go back out there"
"Huh, how'd you get stabbed?" you asked not being bothered by it, you were used to these kind of things
"Harley" he said nonchalantly
"Oh" you said and nodded at him
"Mhm"
"I thought she hadn't been active in a while?" I said, Dick had told me before he left Bruce that Harley hadn't made an appearance in almost a year and it looked like she might want redemption.
"Yeah but Joker was put back in Arkham some months ago, we thought they had broken up but turns out it was just an act and she was just plotting something to try and get him out or get revenge or something like that, and well i may be skilled but Harley is Harley" he said taking bites of his food.
"Yeah I get you, even I am scared of going against Harley"
"You are? haven't you beaten her like a lot of times?"
"Yeah but miss girl is not just crazy and skilled but she's also in LOVE like not cutesy love, but maniac love that's a dangerous combination" you said in an exaggerated way to get your point across.
"I wouldn't call that love" he said while shaking his head before taking another bite of his food which you had no idea what it was.
"Then what would you call it?"
"Obsession I guess, she's like obsessed with him, she would throw herself against chemicals that will probably kill her if he asked for it... oh wait she already did"
"Yeah, poor girl would give her life for someone who just manipulates her and uses herâ
"I mean yeah, but I wouldn't call her poor she's still a psycho" he shrugged.
"Maybe, but she's in love, even if you wouldn't call it that i think i would, its not a healthy love but she just loves him in a really obsessive unhealthy way, also if you see it in a way, we are psychos as well" i say before taking a sip of my water.
"What do you mean?" he asked as he sipped what must be coffee from a mug and looked at me curiously.
"Well, what kind of people just beats up other people every night?"
"Well yeah, but we only beat criminals and people who deserve it, they actually kill" he said trying to defend his point.
"I mean, yeah they may kill and we don't, but what's worse? dying or being paralyzed and basically tortured for life?"
"What do you mean?" he frowned and tilted his head a bit, he was intrigued in the conversation now.
"Well do you honestly think everyone will just be fine after being thrown around and beaten up until the point where you know if you give one more punch they'll die? I mean even professional fighters get brain paralysis or quadriplegic or like vegetative state from a bad blow and they have like precautions in those fights, now imagine in a fight where there's no precautions and the only stop sign is either them going unconscious or them not being able to move or them being a step away from death keep in mind that the criminals that you beat sometimes aren't trained or don't even know how to fight like regular thieves and shit, im obviously not talking about criminals like Ivy or Harley and stuff and a lot of the vigilantes have actually killed at least one person, maybe not intentionally but yeah" I explained to him.
"Huh, I guess if you think about it like that you're right" he nodded and took one last bite out of his plate
"Of course I am, I"m always right" I smiled at him
"Sure you are" he rolled his eyes in a playful way and stood up to wash his dirty dishes.
"I am!" I say pretending to be offended
"Uh huh, whatever you say" he smiled at me, "well, uhm its pretty late and I guess I should try to get some sleep, so see you tomorrow, I guess" he said before starting to head out of the kitchen.
"Sure, goodnight" I said to him.
"Night" He replied before finally leaving the kitchen.

A/N: in this story Dick and Jason will not have such a big age gap as they do in the show, Dick will be 23 while Jason will be 19, but for the sake of the plot it will, also ignore that thereâs already a dc character called moonlight, also the powers I made up for her make no sense at all but weâll have to deal with it.

Superman by Eminem was playing as the car Bruce sent to get you from the airport approached the gothic styled manor you hadn't seen in a year or so, the way everything looked the same brought you a sense of comfort, you knew Dick wasnât Robin anymore, you were really close to Dick and he had told you all about how Bruce was a bad father and how he didnât want to become him, you understood him, although you couldnât help but feel bad for Bruce, you knew he was trying his best and he may not have been the best father, but he was a great godfather, it probably was because he wasnât 100% responsible of you, he didnât have to teach you about emotions, life, problems, or shit like that, he just had to spoil you and talk to you, so it was probably easier for him.
As you grew closer to the manor you noticed that Bruce and Alfred were already waiting for you by the door with some guy, he looked a little bit younger than you, but not too much, you couldnât see him very well from the distance, but he seemed to be in casual clothes so you assumed he lived here, he was probably another stray that Bruce took in after Dick left so you paid it no mind. Eventually you arrived to the mansion and you could cry, it had been a year since you had last seen Bruce and Alfred, it had been a year since your dad had died, he was the only parent you ever knew, your mom wasnât a deadbeat who abandoned you or anything like that, but she wasnât ânormalâ she had special abilities (which you also have) that you didnât know were special until you showed them to a boy in kindergarten and made him cry out of fear, at that moment you didnât get why the boy had cried when you just tried to show him how your hands could glow, you then got a long talk from your mom about how most people donât have the same abilities as you, therefore you have to keep them a secret, otherwise people would be scared or even worse it would put you at risk because there were bad people who wanted those abilities for themselves. You learned to take the talk seriously when your mom got killed by some scientist who wanted to have her powers and it was all thanks to not hiding them too well, leaving your dad and yourself on your own.
The sound of the carâs door opening pulled you out of your thoughts, and you immediately started getting off the car, you started walking towards the entrance of the Manor and all of the memories came flooding back making you emotional, you approached Bruce and just crashed into him with a hug, he became stiff, but he tried to comfort you as you cried in his arms, you hadnât seen him ever since your dad had died, you had ran away from your problems and went to Europe for a year thinking it would help, but it didnât, you were completely alone at Europe, at least here in Gotham you had Bruce and Dick and Alfred, you werenât completely alone, but over there you were, and it just made you realize how much you missed and appreciated them.
When you calmed down, you moved on to Alfred who looked just as neat as always and also hugged him tight, after all Alfred reminded you of a loving grandfather and always gave you comfort, Alfred pulled away and excused himself to bake your favorite desserts, just like he always did whenever you were sad, it all felt so familiar that you felt comfort for the first time in a year. After hugging Bruce and Alfred and breaking down you realized there was still a boy who probably didnât know who you were and had to witness you being a mess as his first impression of you, poor boy probably would be really uncomfortable after seeing a stranger come into his house and break down while he just stood there, the thought of it made you feel embarrassed making the atmosphere really awkward as you just stood staring at each other not knowing what to do, or say, Bruce took on the tense atmosphere and started introducing you to each other in hopes that the tension would fade away. You learned that his name was Jason Todd and he had just gotten taken in a year ago, some months after you left for Europe, Bruce also told you about how he found him and how he was now the new Robin, Jason have you a short nod as his way of saying hi and then Bruce started telling him about you, he told Jason about your abilities and how you were the vigilante known as moonlight which made Jason look excited, Bruce seeing Jasonâs reaction told you how he was a fan of Robin and Moonlight and it sparked a bit of pride inside of you, but then made you feel embarrassed as you realized you had probably disappointed the boy by showing him how weak you actually were.
After the introductions finished, Alfred came out telling you all to get inside and to let you go to your room and accommodate, which you thanked him, You loved Bruce and Jason seemed nice, but you were exhausted after flying and you just wanted to get some rest, Alfred guided you to your room as if you hadnât bern there a thousand times and insisted on carrying your luggage for you even though you said you could handle it.
âHere we are Miss (Y/N), you already know where Master Bruceâs and my rooms are in case you need anything, and if you ever need Master Jason his room is the one thatâs right in front of yours in Master Dickâs old room .â
You thanked Alfred who excused himself and went to the kitchen and you decided you were too tired to unpack and that you would do it tomorrow, so you took the book you were reading and your headphones out of your bag and laid down to read a bit, you were really tired and after some pages your eyes started to get really heavy and you felt yourself drifting off to sleep.

Chapter 3
IMAGINE:Â I have no absolute way to describe this fluffy mess of a story. I hope itâs sweet enough that itâll give you cavities. WORD COUNT:Â 1.4k
âJason! I swear to god; stop leaving this damn mask around!â You exclaim.
You had just found this creepy mask made to look like a rotting human face in your dresser. Your lovely boyfriend thought it was funny to constantly hide this horrible costume around the apartment the two of you shared. Jason always got a kick out of it.
Jason emerged from the bathroom, his face red from laughing. âI-Iâm s-sorry babe,â he choked out, wiping a tear as he did so. âI couldnât help it!â
Rolling your eyes, you grab the mask and toss it in his face. âYou dick! Youâre going to make me late!â Rummaging through the drawer, you find a dark blue t-shirt. âAha!â You exclaim. âThought you could hide from me!â
Pulling out the shirt, you quickly tug it on before heading towards the kitchen. You hear Jason follow you quietly as you prepare your lunch.
âDo you have to go?â He whined childishly. Playfully glaring at him, you nod.
âYes, you know Brett would kill me if I didnât. I promised him Iâd be there today.â
âWhy?â Jason grumbled again.
âThe sheltersâ been down on workers lately, and most people are too busy to volunteer. I said that Iâd put in more hours to even it out.â Hearing him groan again, you cock your head.
âWhatâs the matter, you big baby? Itâs not my fault people donât enjoy working with animals.â When he doesnât reply, you shrug your shoulders. Finishing up your lunch, you search for your keys.
âCan I come with you?â Jason pipes up.
Pausing in your search, you look at him curiously. âYou?â You ask, amazed. âBadass Jason Todd wants to help at an animal shelter?â Jason shrugged meekly before smiling.
âIâm bored. Besides, it might be nice to help for a change.â
âBrett! We got company!â Your boss poked his head out of his tiny office and grins when he sees the two of you approach.
âWell, Iâll be darned!â He exclaimed, letting his country roots show. âNow who is this young gentleman?â
âIâm Jason,â your boyfriend introduced himself. âIâm here to help with whatever you need.â Brett clapped his hands and cheered.
âThank heavens. Weâve been needing volunteers lately.â Jason looked to you, a smile playing at the edge of his lips.
âSo I heard; now what can I do for you, chief?â
Your boss quickly explained that all they had fed the animals, and all that was left was to interact with the dogs. âNow boy,â Brett directed Jason. âYou need to watch yourself around Charlie. Sheâs sensitive. You canât keep your back to her for long.â
After Brett left, you calm Jason down. âDonât listen to what he said. Charlieâs a sweetheart. You got to give her time to warm up to you.â
Soon, you approach the kennels, where the dogs greeted you with much enthusiasm. Chuckling, you grab a bag of dog treats.
âHere.â You hand Jason a meat stick. âGive this to Charlie.â
Glancing at the row of cages, the anti-hero raised an eyebrow. âWhich one is Charlie?â Gesturing to a certain kennel, you head over.
As you get closer, the dog inside doesnât budge like the others do. Jason follows close behind.
Getting to the door, you open it. The dog still doesnât move. âWhatâs wrong with her?â Jason asked curiously.
âCharlie⌠Sheâs had a bit of a rough past. Worse than the other dogs here.â Nodding his head, your boyfriend knelt beside you.
âHow come she doesnât have a label on her cage like the others?â
You observe Jason as he eyes the white-furred canine. âHer name isnât actually Charlie. We just call her that because her⌠Previous owners didnât give her a name. She doesnât really respond to anything we call her.â
As Jason lowly whistles, you watch âCharlieâ perk up her ears. The pitbull hesitantly turns her head, causing your boyfriend to gasp.
They scarred her face; several marks ran across her face in perfect symmetry. Her eyes were a vibrant blue; they seemed so bright until you noticed the left side of her face. The fur was gone, leaving only pale pink flesh.
âShe used to be a fighter,â you explain gently, holding out your hand. You watch as the dog flinches but continues to reach for your open palm. You practically coo when she leans into your touch. âWe consider her lucky to be alive.â
Jasons silent, so much so, that you hesitate to ask if heâs okay. Youâre surprised when he shakes.
âWhat kind of monster does that? What sane person turns an innocent creature into this⌠This weapon?â
Taken aback by his response, you look at your boyfriend with wide eyes. Taking a deep breath through his nose, Jason shut his eyes. Sensing his stress, the pitbull slowly approached the door.
Amazed, you watch the dog nudge the anti-hero carefully. When he doesnât react, she tries again.
Jasonâs anger melts as he opens his eyes. The pitbullâs stubby tail wags as she leans against him. You watch as your boyfriend eagerly responds; gently scratching the sides of her neck to rubbing her ears.
âShe really likes you,â you tell him, watching the way the dog melted into Jasonâs touch.
âHow long has this beauty been in here?â
âAbout five months. Soon to be six. Usually, when people come in here, they want a puppy or a âproperâ looking dog. 'Charlieâ here doesnât fit the bill.â
Jason continues to shower the dog in affection as you say your hellos to the others. By the time you finished your rounds, the brunette was still with the broken puppy.
âAre you trying to make me jealous?â You ask him, feigning anger. The playfulness fades away as you watch the two.
âYouâre really attached to her, arenât you?â
He doesnât respond, but even you know the answer. A blind man could see the bond beginning to form.
âWhy wouldnât anyone want this sweet little thing? Sheâs perfect.â Jason rubs her head once more before turning to you. You can already see the wheels turning in his head.
âYou want to get her, donât you?â
His cheeks turn red as Jason stutters. âW-well⌠She could use a n-nice home. And you always wanted a dog. Sheâs perfect. We can give her the life she deserves.â
Joining in, the dog gives you kiss after kiss, coaxing you to adopt her.
âWell you are adorable,â you tell her, teasing Jason. âIs that a yes?â He asks excitedly.
If that man had a tail, it would probably cause a tornado with the way your boyfriend was acting.
âIâll go get the paperwork from Brett.â
âSign here,â Brett directs you and Jason. As you write down your signatures, your boss pulls out another paper.
âNow, since you want to adopt a dog without a name, you can call her whatever you want.â
Jason looks to you hopefully, silently begging you to let him choose. Smiling, you nod.
âGo for it.â
Ecstatic, he quickly presses his lips to yours before turning to Brett. âI think Hope seems like a fitting name.â Hearing him talk, the pitbullâs ears perked up.
âHope. Not bad son. Not bad at all.â
Brett prints down the name with a smile. You watch as he stamps the paper with ease, adding his signature soon after.
âThere you go,â he tells you, handing you the official papers. âYou are all free to take Hope home.â
Jason looks ecstatic as he brings Hope out to the car. A smile never leaves your lips as he helps her into the vehicle.
âThis is where you are going to sleep,â Jason instructs Hope. He points to the foot of the bed. âYou can get as many cuddles as you want.â
âCuddles?â You ask him. âSince when do you use the term cuddle?â
âSince I wanted to. Ok?â Your boyfriend asked in a rush, hiding his pink-tinted cheeks.
The two of you then calmly watch as your new pet inspects the home. Deciding it was suitable, Hope faced you. Her muzzle lifted at the sides as she eagerly wagged her tail.
Today was a good day.

New Beginings
-> Arlecchino (genshin) inspired reader ( reader is also addressed as arlecchino) aka ur basically arlecchino in this imagine
-> Jason todd wakes up in a forest , abandoned and confused as he comes to terms with his painful resurrection until he's adopted by someone named 'father' . All goes well until his adopted family finds him and wants him back.
Platonic relationship!!
Jasonâs POV
Blood . Blood and the smell of burnt flesh sticks to me like a plague , it follows me like a predator and tightens its sharp fangs around me . I feel utterly hopeless and I wander around aimlessly. Trees as tall as the sky surround me and the only living creature here is myself and death himself . Twigs and leaves stick to my bare feet as I trudge through the greenage . I roamed for godâs know how long but my swollen feet carried me to a lake. I collapse onto the ground and hover above the water - and that's it
That's when I saw him. Dead green eyes stare right back at me , his skin is pale like the dead and his hair - his bloody hair had a mocking white tuff at the front . He - no I scream , filled with pain , anger , confusion , frustration . That is not me - he is not me . My once boyish innocence was robbed and replaced with more manlier features , chubby cheeks replaced for high cheekbones that could surely put any male model to shame but he looks so dead .
His eyes and his complexion are that of the dead maybe because he was supposed to be . In his screaming agony he slammed his hands into the water resulting in him recoiling , the excruciating pain practically ate him alive . He looks down at his hands and he almost vomits . His palms were covered in a deep purplish bruise that practically stung . He lets out another scream mixed with a cry , why - why must it be him ? What did he ever do to deserve such a cruel faith , a faith meant for those condemned to hell ? Maybe this is hell - his own personal living hell . He cries into the grass like a pathetic child as he recalls the distant yet agonizing memory of a bomb ticking and the overwhelming feeling of fire consuming him .
So why - when he was finally put out of his misery did nature drag him back from the depths of the abyssal darkness into this hell . He was just angry - at himself , at the world and at batman. Why must only he suffer ?
He continues crying until he hears a twig snap . Like a wounded animal , he immediately seized his movement and began looking around frantically . The air around him grew cold and quiet . His frantic eyes scanned everywhere until it landed on the figure in the distance . He watches as she approaches him with deliberate steps . He could feel his own anxiousness bubble up within him but still - he gets up , relentless in backing down now . He stalks her , shooting her a glare yet she gives away nothing wearing a blank face.
She stops at an arm length poised. Her white hair dances in the blowing wind yet her eyes - piercing black eyes with a haunting red âxâ for an iris - a promise of a terrifying demise . Silence envelopes them both as they observe one another . â Youâre hurt, â she says with a deadpan tone . Anger consumes him , she is just like him - just like bloody Bruce Wayne , his so-called father , cold and unmoving as if they were above everyone else.
He snarls and lunges at her but she swiftly kicks him in his chest , her sharp heel digging into the sensitive flesh of his back. â Let go of me you bloody wrenchâ he curses as he squirms - he couldnât give up not yet , not ever - he refused to give in. â Stand down child you are hurt â she says and to push her point further she presses her heel further into his back. He lets out a cry but manages to grab ahold of her leg and throw her into a nearby tree.
She manages to balance herself by using her heels to ground herself . Jason , seeing this, starts running in her opposite direction . He weaves in and out of the prickling branches - not minding the way they claw into his back and face leaving behind raw marks . He huffs as he jumps over a fallen log but is cut off guard when he hears footsteps behind him . He risks a peak and no doubt - she is following after him .
He huffs - frustrated , tired and frankly done with this ordeal but he continues to dart in and out between the trees . Jason makes a move to dart behind another tree when she leaps in front of him - absolutely startling him to death . He attempts to turn around but she delivers a swift kick to his head and suddenly , he feels himself go under.
Arlecchino's POV
She watches Jasonâs crumbled form laid out on the red velvet cushions of the car through the rear mirror . She has no shadow of a doubt that the young boy is a mess but that doesnât deter the parental instinct of protecting him . This wasnât her first time meeting a child in such a roughed up state - her orphanage is filled with them but she has never ever heard a child scream in such agony . Before all of this - she was simply driving back home - her children eagerly awaiting her return to start dinner but something in her gut told her to pull aside and investigate . It was highly irrational and utterly dangerous but she was glad she did it because when she stared at the sweet boy laying in her backseat - she knew that she had to take care of him.
It wasnât too long after Arlecchino arrived at the house of hearth - a mansion carefully tucked away into a tall mountain , vines practically climbed on the limestone walls of the castle-like mansion and its black gates while the black roof wore crow trimmings . Arlecchino carefully manoeuvres her car around the fountain , parking the car in front of a sea of cobblestone steps . She steps out , carefully fixing her coat as a crow flew down and landed on her shoulder .
â Inform the children that we have a new guestâ she says calmly . The crow nods at her before flying off . Moments pass before Arlecchino opens the back door and carefully picks Jason up bridal style . She leaned his head into the crook of her neck and began ascending the stairs . Despite the dreary , abandoned look the House of Hearth adorned outside - the inside was filled with laughter and warmth.
As soon as she stepped into the threshold , she can hear plates and chairs being rummaged around and the sound of children laughing and talking . She ascends another flight of stairs before stopping in front of a door . She lets out a gentle hum and the door is opened by another crow , wordlessly , she enters the room and lays Jason onto the bed . The crow perches on the bed post as it eyes her tucking a blanket over him .
â Watch over him and summon a healer to treat his wounds âŚ.. When he wakes up please alert me immediately â she orders . The crow croons as it watches her leave .
Jasonâs POV
He grumbles as he sinks further into the warm , soft feeling under him - he feels ease for some reason and then that's when the memories of last night jolts him awake . He sits up - still groggy from sleep as he examines his area . He determines heâs in a bedroom as he observes the dark green wallpaper that covers his room , an antique wooden desk and chair is tucked away in a corner and a matching antique wardrobe and vanity sit opposite the room . The room had wide , white windows that were framed by golden curtains - this was definitely something from those dark academia books he used to read in his youth and he hates to admit it but it's all nice .
Jason examines himself - his arms and torso were wrapped in bandages and he was only dressed in grey sweats . So this wasnât some sick concoction of his mind - all of yesterday did happen. Jason felt lost - he felt so unsure of what to make of the situation anymore , of his feelings anymore - heâs now stuck in a body that doesnât even feel like his - nothing doesnât feel like his anymore - he feels like a puppet just being stringed on by his cruel master .
His inner turmoil is suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door . Jason holds his breath for a moment as the door opens and the same person from last night walks in - Jason observes her , sheâs dressed down in a black work shirt and black slacks but her white hair cascades down her face and he finally realizes that she has streaks of black and red peaking through , her hands were black as if they were stained with ink but something tells him itâs more to it , he observes that she wears minimal jewelry and makeup not like she needed any - the woman before him looked ethereal .
â Good Morning â she greets him as she sits at the edge of his bed . Jason straightens but makes no move to attack her â My name is Arlecchino or The Knave but the children of the Hearth call me Father â She introduced herself . Jason nods , heâs heard of the Hearth , an orphanage for children determined to have no hope or home . â Jason Todd but I âŚ..used to be Robin â he trails off . Arlecchino nods . â I figured you were a vigilante with those reflexes last night â she says. Jason just nods .
Silence envelopes them. â Look if youâre going to pawn me off to Batman -â but she cuts him off , â Iâm not pawning you off anywhere Jason , if you choose to stay here or go back to him thatâs fine with me , all I ask is that you recover â Arlecchino says with finality. Jason stills - he feels everything crumble around him - sheâs supposed to be fighting no ? supposed to already be gutting him open and delivering him to batman or holding him hostage or hell experimenting on him . Arlecchino stares at him . â If you are wondering why youâre not in a body bag or what not - that's because mother is no longer in charge of the hearth anymore , although I am not better person but I would not harm a child - albeit enemy or not â Arlecchino says as she plays around with the singular ring on her hand.
Jason gives her a perplex look , he remembers back in his old Robin days - Arlecchinoâs name was #4 on Gothams most wanted - her gruesome murders kept the media buzzing all month around especially when she was allegedly suspected of killing a wealthy pharmaceutical president . He eyed her wearily - she could kill him , he could run away - run away where ? Bruce thinks heâs dead - he was dead - now he's alive and suddenly all he feels is anger.
â Jason â Arlecchino calls out as she senses his unease . Jason glares at her . â What do you want from me - you people resurrect me to do what threatens Batman ? He wouldnât bloody buy into it because he is a monster that leaves children to die â he spits out in distaste . Arlecchino looks at him . â I didnât resurrect you Jason , I donât know who or why they resurrected you but I found you and I intend to take care of you until you can take care of yourself .â Arlecchino says firmly .
Jason stares at her . Moments of silence passed between them until he finally asked , â Why ? Why care so much ?â .
â Because that's what a good father does , he cares, â Arlecchino explains . Those words hung heavy in the air . â Breakfast would be served to you , you are free to explore though it is advised you rest , if you do need me ask one of the crows and I shall come to you â Arlecchino says before walking out and closing the door to his room softly.
True to her word - food did arrive to him , by a crow , the little guy squeaked before he curled up next to Jason while he ate - he would admit itâs very Harry Potter and it shouldnât be making him happy . Jason reminisces over Dick , Bruce and Alfred - does his family miss him ? Do they look for him ? Think about him anymore ? All questions but no answers . He munches on his sandwich as he also ponders on the earlier conservations . Does she care about him ? Why should she when heâs a nobody ?
Jason gives up but decides to take a walk . He opens the door and is greeted by a hallway , decorated in an off -white wallpaper and covered in vintage paintings . He carefully walks into the hallway , observing through the same white , wide windows that showcase the delicate greenery outside . The crow eagerly follows him , landing on his shoulder and affectionately rubs against his cheek.
Jason wandered off a bit but ultimately sat on a windowsill and admired the outside for a while - he was just contempt with being alone . He didn't know how long heâd been but the crow began to squawk at him and flew down an opposite hall . Jason follows after the crow down the hall and is introduced to a dining room . A large chandelier hung above them , the room had large open windows that let in light , there were rows and rows of tables filled with kids ranging from all ages eating lunch .
Jason awkwardly walks in . People stopped eating to wave at him or even smile , some even greeted him with a â good afternoon â . Jason approaches a table at the front of the room and there , Arlecchino sits at the head table enjoying a sandwich while being surrounded by a bunch of crows . , his own crow landed next to her and squawked . Arlecchino looks up from the crow , to him and beacons him over . â Jason, come eat with me â she invites him . Jason walked over to her and sat in the seat directly next to hers . A plate of pasta appeared before him and Arlecchino beaconed him to eat. Jason eyes it but eats it anyways and god did it taste good .
Arlecchino allows a little smile to show on her face before she resumes to her own meal . â Jason , this is my son Lyney , Lyney this is Jason our esteemed guest â Arlecchino introduces Jason to the boy opposite him . He flashes Jason a toothy smile and throws him a card of red 8 hearts . â Welcome Jason itâs an honour to have you here â Lyney says animatedly. Jason smiled and nodded . â Likewise â he responded.
â So Jason, what are your plans after recovery ?â Lyney inquires . Jason stills and glances at Arlecchinoâs way . â I plan to stay here âŚ. If that's okay with you â he asks . Arlecchino raised her brow . â Jason I already told you that youâre welcome to stay as long as you want â she says with a matter of fact tone . Jason nods , â I donât want to be a burden to any of you â he explains . â You arenât and will never be a burden to any of us â Arlecchino says with certainty . For the first time in a long time - Jason smiles .
5 months later
Arlecchino POV
It has been five months since Jason has come into our lives , it's been a change - a good change for all of this , I watch from my office window and Jason and Lyney play football in the garden with the other boys of the orphanage - safe to say Jason has adapted to us . Heâs still closed off , still a bit awkward but nevertheless doing much better than when he came here . Since the five months per his request , Iâve been looking into his resurrection and so far nothing but dead ends , Iâve heard nothing from his father - or should I say batman ? Iâm not entirely sure but last week Jason approached me in my personal office and told me about his familyâs vigilante life in detail .
At first I thought he was kidding about the robin thing but it turns out that batman has a habit of having multiple robins and he was one of them . I recall him crying after it thinking Iâd kick him out of the hearth - being a criminal and all and the fear of him betraying me but I reassured him that I didnât care about his parentage or his past , that I only cared about the present.
We made some progress on our relationship and he has taken to calling me â dad â which made me happy . I sipped on my tea as I observed the boys until a crow landed next to me . â Mr.Wayne in front â It croaked . I spared it a glance as worry course through me , â Summon for Jason and order the children to their rooms , all crows on guard â I ordered .
This leads to now - the Hearth was empty save for Jason and myself in my work office . â Dad - I donât know what to do, â Jason confessed as he paced up and down . I observed him . The moment he came in my office and I overlaid the message my son has been a wreck and it breaks my heart . â Jason , no matter what I wonât let you get in harm's way â I reassured him . Jason looks at me for a moment before he nods . â Okay Dad - Iâll face him". He says before sitting next to me . I nod and gesture to a nearby crow to allow Bruce Wayne in.
Jasonâs POV
I watched nervously as Dad ordered the crow to let Bruce in . I was shaking , nervousness and anger course through me at the same time , for once my life has been going well since my resurrection and now - now he wants me ? Now he cares about me ? I observed Dadâs face and I could tell sheâs worried and I hate worrying about her because sheâs always working so hard and she's always making sure all of us are well loved and cared for . I side hugged her as I eyed the door .
â Dad, I love you â I confess. I could feel her freeze under my hold and then I began to feel scared because what if she doesn't want me -
â I love you too son â she answered back and squeezed me and I smiled at the mention of âsonâ.
The door opens and lord and behold - in walks Bruce Wayne and two other young boys. Bruce looks at me in shock and worry before he looks at Dad and gives him a nasty glare and I swear it takes everything in me to not punch him. â Welcome , Mr.Wayne to the House of Hearth , I am The Knave, how can I help you ?â Dad says in a deadpan tone . Bruce is still glaring at her but takes a seat in the chair in front of her huge mahogany desk . The younger of the two boys looks around with a snare while the other just stares ahead in boredom.
â Letâs get to the chase shall we Knave ? You have my son and I want him back â Bruce states matter of factly. I growl in anger - Now I'm his son ? I release my hands from hugging dad , ready to punch him but dad places her hand on my shoulder . â Mr.Wayne , while I do agree that he is your legal son , I found him abandoned and lost in a forest and likewise as a parent myself I took him in â Father said in a deadpan tone . â According to the houseâs clinic reports Mr.Wayne , Jason Todd was found with third degree burn mark on his palms , a concussion and a fractured rib and severely underfed â father continues . Bruce shoots her a glare . â Given your track record Knave , I wonât put it past you for inflicting those onto my son â Bruce says with a glare . I seethe in my seat . â You bastard, how dare you accuse my father of abusing me -â I shouted angrily .
The younger of the two boys growled at me , â Are you stupid ? You are being held hostage by a wanted criminal and you want us to believe she wouldnât hurt you ?â he questioned . His father gave him a look but made no move to correct him. Dad rubs my back and I look at her - scared because I feel like Iâm being taken away from her - from my own family and I begin to feel like the same hopeless broken little boy she found in that forest. I want to beg her - beg her to just take all of us away to a far away land where we can all be happy and together but I know itâs not gonna happen - Bruce will not let it happen.
â Putting aside our opinions , It is purely up to Jason on what he wants and wishes â Dad says with finality. Bruce pursues his lips at that . â I want to stay here with you Dad â I say as I hug her . She hugs me back and runs her hand through my hair - attempting to soothe me . â My son has made his decision; you may now leave â Dad says . Bruce angrily slammed his hands on the table . â Stop manipulating my son you - wench â he curses out he says angrily . I let go from hugging dad and immediately slap Bruce , â Donât you ever fucking cuss my dad you piece of shit â I say angrily . Bruce looks at me - really looks at me and I can see the anger brewing inside , threatening to spill over . â Jason, if you donât come home I wonât hesitate to lock her in Arkamâs Asylum. â he threatens . The other two boys next to him nod in agreement - and finally I realized their plan - we were outnumbered and I wonât let Dad go there of all places - I need her , we all need her here . I sigh and look at Dad . â Son donât do this I donât care what happens to me but I can get you and the otherâs somewhere safe -â Dad starts but I cut her off , â No dad - I canât bear to know you get arrested and tortured in there because of me â I say , somber . Dad shakes her head , â Itâs my job to keep you safe Jason -â she starts but I just embrace her for the last time - my mind already made up , â Da I love you , goodbye â I say as tears run down my face . Dad embraces me back â I love you too and I will see you soon son â she says softly , her voice laced in vulnerability . Before I knew it - I was ripped out of her arms and was being dragged down the halls by Bruce .
Dad chased after me but the younger boy threw a smoke bomb at her and then we vanished.
You and Bruce decided to attend a gala thats been hosted by Vincent Beaumont basically a rich guy who wanted to surround himself with even more rich people and who better more to invite than the famous bruce wayne oh and it doesnt stop from there oh no he also invited the 'crown jewel of gotham' a nickname the press started calling you the very day you and bruce got married anyway normally you and bruce wouldnt go to these events or we would just leave early if the kids were with you and just use them for a reason you really did not want to go to the gala but bruce has been offered a deal and apparently he needed to 'take a look at it' honestly you dont know what wayne enterprises needed more than we already had well to make this 'less' boring you decided to bring the boys with you.
So here you are now in yours and bruce's room getting ready and still deciding on what dress would suit you more, although your hair and makeup was done you just couldnt choose between the dresses
"Hey hot stuff" a nickname you call bruce sometimes, women would just fawn over him billionaire bruce wayne former playboy, shrugging of the image is harder than it looks like i mean women are still fawning over him but ofcourse you would never let them take your brucey away (not that he would ever be fawned over)
"Red or blue?" You told him holding up the dress in both hands he turned to look at me he was already in his suit looking as handsome as ever jeez honestly he could be in his pajamas and would still look handsome.
He started to walk towards you as he looked at both dress then smiled "you know you can wear either of these and you'd still look as gorgeous as ever"
You laughed as you lay down the dress at the bed then wore the dress that you picked "oo you smooth talker" you told him as you smirked then went to look at yourself at the mirror smoothing out the dress.
"Only for you" bruce said as he hugged you from behind his chest at you back and placed his head at your shoulder it was small moments like this that would make you fall more in love with bruce if that was even possibleÂ
You smiled then turned around fixing his tie "Lets get this over with you and the boys still have patrol later and i wouldnt want my favorite people in the world to get too tired" you looked him in the eyes then pecked his cheek while you get your purse then walked towards the door
"Ill just check on the boys" you told him as you give him one last glance before exiting the room .
You walk down the stairs to already hear shouting from tim and damian
"DAMIAN GIVE ME MY TIE" you heard tim yell as they chase each other around the house
"NOT UNTIL YOU GIVE ME BACK MY COAT" you heard damian yell back ahh these kids will be the death of you one day when they finally saw you coming down damian threw tims tie at his face as tim also threw the coat at damians face
"HE STARTED IT" you hear both of them yell  at the same time you laugh as you fix their clothes then hugged them.
"I swear i cant be mad at you two when your acting all cute" they both rolled their eyes neither admitting that it makes them happy when their mom babies them
"I WANT A HUG TOO" you hear someone scream from the stairs you look at the stairs and see dick running down the stairs then joining the hug
"Hello to you too dickie" you tell him as you ruffle his hair then kiss his head you let go of the boys to look around only to find baby #2 missing.
"Wheres jaybird?" You told them as you suddenly hear footsteps walking down
"Im here im here" you saw him go down the stairs
"Looking as handsome as ever i see" you told him as you also kiss his forehead then patting his chest, well the handsomeness does run in the wayne family i guess i mean look at those little cuties!
"Ok your dad is most probably waiting outside already lets go" we walked  to leave the manor then finally see bruce's loving gaze you smiled at him then pecked him on the lips before going inside the limo followed by the boys
The ride going to the gala was quiet a comfortable slience no one talked most probably getting ready to whatever chaos the paparazzi will do, once you finally arrived you sighed then exited the car  the boys were already blocking the flashes of the camera for you while bruce offered his hand to you while smilling.
"Such a gentleman Mr wayne"Â
"Only for you Mrs Wayne"It brings you back in the day when you and bruce got married you guys couldnt stop calling each other 'Mr wayne' and 'Mrs wayne'!
You take his arms as you finally entered the gala you swear you saw the eyes of the women in the room become a dollar sign and the men glance at your body while the younger women glanced at baby #1 and #2 then dick giving them a wink the girls almost fainted when he did !
"Ah Bruce Wayne pleasure to see you here!"
"And to you Vincent" the man wasnt that old maybe just around bruce's age he switched his gaze from bruce to you the boys who was behind you already glaring at the man
"Mrs Wayne your even more beautifull in personal" he had that look in his eyes that any men had when they lay their eyes on a woman of their liking, lust
Bruce  tightened his grip on your arm ooooo Jealousbat is showing again it wasnt often that bruce would get jealous usually its when men are around or eyeing you like crazy.
"Come join me at the casino table Ive been losing all night maybe you would bring me luck Mrs Wayne"Â
"Oh id rather stay with my husband and boys"
"Just for one game? Ill make sure its worth your time"Â
"......one game i guess but i bet my husband would like to join" this guy was just very off, bruce would surely understand why your dragging him into the situationÂ
"Boys you can go around a bit in the gala but dont cause trouble im looking at you dick if i see another woman crying in front of our house i swear to god"Â
"Yes mom" they all said in unison glaring at vincent before going around the event
"Come come the casino is this way" he ushered you trying to get a hold of you but bruce holds you closer and feeling comfort beside him
Once you reached the casino table the man hands you the dices you let go of bruce for a moment (he doesnt like admitting it but he always mentally whines when you arent beside him) as vincent betted 100 millionÂ
"Just like that?"Â
"Just like that"
Vincent smirked as he heard the numbers that was needed to win, jeez what a show off  you and bruce didnt really like bragging about your money you also taught your kids not to brag or how luck they are and that  they should also use their advantages to help other people
"Ok 9 or 11 get it the money is all yours" the man said the crowd was suddenly forming around the table interested on if you really were luck, as you were about to throw the dice vincent stopped your hand as he looks at you
"Arent you forgetting something?" He told me i held the dice in my hand kissed it then threw it on the table once i looked what number i got the crowd started roaring with suprisement
"See you are luck" vincent said to you, you didnt pay any mind to him as you frantically look for bruce around the table once you saw him you went to him then embraced him
"You know Bruce you have something i dontâ Vincent said as he approached the two of youÂ
âand that would be?âÂ
âwell you see both of us are very rich but you have herâ
Vincent said as he looked at you once again there was lust in his eyes and desperation if you will man this guy really doesnt get the clue
âyou cant buy LoveâÂ
âoh really?â vincent told you as he smirked then turned his attention to bruce who was holding my hand tightly
âBruce what if i told you id give you my entire companyâ
âBut in return......âÂ
âone night with your wife, just pretend its realâ
he smirked obviously it IS real he just wants to see what bruce will say to him obviously he thinks bruce is another man that can be wooed with power and not knowing your bond with Bruce is invincible and that nothing could break it.
âHe would tell you to go fuck yourselfâ you told vincent before bruce can even get a response.
âi didnt hear that from himâ he turns to Bruce obviously not believing that he would actually say that, you see Bruceâs hand clench as he glares at himÂ
âi would tell you to go fuck yourselfâ Bruce told him Vincents eyes widened in shock obviously expecting him to say âdealâ or âsureâ since Bruce did have a reputation of being a playboy Vincent thought Bruce would just get another wife and that all he wanted was power
âw-what? come on man surely you can find another whore out there to fuck let me have herâ he told him Bruce lets go of my arm as he grabbed the man by the collar gaining attention from the people around you
âlisten here you scum i wouldnt give up my wife for the world and i dont really appreciate you calling her such word and need i remind you if we are talking about power the wayne enterprises is far more powerfull than you companyâÂ
âo-okay man pl-please let me goâ Bruce lets him go as he inhales deeply suddenly you here a scream going towards youÂ
â YOU BASTARDâ you see damian going through the crowd then punching the vincent face repeatedly until he got knocked out since he was on the floor it was easier for damian to reach him
âOh my god dami stop!â you tell him as you grab him then pulled him towards you hugging him in reflex as he calms downÂ
Suddenly the rest of the boys join you and looks at the man knocked out on the floor as the screams of other party goers were loud
âWhat happened!?â Dick asked as he looked at the man on the ffloor with a broken nose Damian told the boys what happened and you can also see the anger in their eyes How dare this guy call their mom such a name!
âohâ Dick said as he turned his attention to the man at the floor then kicked him
âthere now he also has a broken ribâ Dick said as he laughed join by the other boys it wasnt often that any of them would laugh like that but here they are, you sigh a little embarrased on what happened, you turn you attention to bruce as he walked toward you and the boys
âi think we should go homeâ Bruce told you guys as he held your hand and turned his loving gaze at you and mouths an âi love youâ all the boys agreed to go homeÂ
once you got home you treated Damianâs bruised hand and helped alfred make the boysâs favorite dish
âIm sorry for losing controlâ Bruce told you as you changed into your sleepwear and the boys get ready for their patrol you turn to him then walked towards him and gave him a kiss
âto be honest i already expected it to happen i couldve done it myself but suddenly Dami goes running to this manâ you laugh as you remember the scenario its cute how the boys are also protective like their father you gave him a last hug as you finally let go
ânow go out there and kick some assesâ i told him he smirked then walked out the room
Sure enough the news next day were all about ânot to mess with the wayne familyâ since then no one ever even dared to make a move on you
aka when what he says isnât what he means
âYouâre alright?â = heâs not asking if youâre okay heâs asking whats wrong
âYou wanna come?â = please go with me
âIâm fineâ = iâm irritated
âIâm okayâ = ptsd triggered
âYouâre goodâ = iâm here
âWhateverâ = yeah, thatâs completely fine
jason todd x fem!reader
aka jason makes you cry after a fight
warnings: angst with comfort
âJasonââ
He waves you off immediately, âNo, Iâm not your problem, okay?â
Your arms drop, âYouâre not a problem at all, thatâs not what Iâm sayingââ
âThen what are you saying?â he challenges.Â
You almost bite your tongue but then decide against it, âIâm saying youâre being an asshole right now just because I tried to help.â
Heâs angry and youâre someplace in between desperate and tired, but you push on, hoping youâll be able to solve this without an extended argument. To little avail though, apparently.Â
A tense exhale from him, âI donât need your help, I donât know how I can make it any clearer.â
âItâs not about needing itââ
âNo, itâs about wanting it. I donât want your fucking help,â he snaps. âIâm grown, I can handle my problems myself.â
You drop your hands to your sides, âThen what am I doing here, Jason?â
âI donât know!â You can literally see the regret sweep over his face but he lets the moment consume him and the words linger anyways.Â
You know he doesnât always think before he talks, especially when heâs mad. Youâve seen it plenty when heâs fighting with his family. This is the first time itâs shown up with you though, and while you know itâs not coming from a place of genuinityâit still really fucking stung.Â
Far from being in your control, tears slip out, more at his tone than his words, and you remove your gaze in favor of the linoleum tiles. He says nothing as you start to cry, which only makes the heat of the moment worsen.Â
âOkay,â You take a deep breath, pursing your lips. âYou need to go away.â
Thereâs a long, hard moment of silence, but ultimately he doesnât fight you on it, only exhales harshly and slams the door on his way out.
The resulting reverberation of the apartment has your shoulders shaking, tears falling onto your shirt. Â
You and Jason donât fight often but when you do itâs usually about insecurities and fears coming forward. Heâd been having a bad night to start with and all you wanted to do was make him feel better but he wasnât willing to talk to you or let you do anything for him. He gets selfishly selfless like that, but you know why.
You know him, in and out. You couldâve anticipated thisâyou shouldâve. You shouldâve approached the topic more sensitively. And itâs not his fault, his life has taught him that itâs safer to believe that other people donât have his best interest. You know that.Â
Yeah, you know him in and out, but he knows you in and out, too. He knows youâve shown him nothing but kindness and generosity since the day you met and youâve reinforced a thousand times how safe you are for him. But if he still canât trust you to care about him, then what are you doing here?
You let yourself fall back onto the arm of the couch, huffing in defeat.Â
Itâs nearing two in the morning when Dick awakens, the bandages across his abdomen digging into his skin uncomfortably. He sits up, bedsheet pooling around his waist. The ache of the bruising pushes him towards his old bedroom door before heâs even fully coherent, narrowly missing shouldering the door frame as he passes through.
Heâs still half asleep as he thumps down the staircase, cold hands stuffed in the pocket of his sweatshirt. Heâs so out of it in his blind search for painkillers, that he nearly misses the large shadowed figure huddled up on the couch.
Dick stills, blinking warily.
âWhatâre you doing here?â
His younger brother says nothing, only continues to stew in the shadows, staring at the rug.
As his eyes adjust, Dick takes in his appearance: messy hair, tired eyes, only clad in a t-shirt and sweatpants.
He rubs his eyes, approaching with measured steps, âWhat happened?â
Jason remains silent for a long minute before grunting out, âGot in a fight.â
Dick nods slowly, shuffling forward a little more to sit on the far end of the couch.Â
âWhatâd you do?â
Jason doesnât have it in him to comment on how his brother immediately knew he was the issue. It just makes the entire thing hurt even worse. Instead, he tells the truth.Â
âBe myself.â
Dick says nothing,Â
When the silence persists, Jason elaborates, even though itâs the last thing he wants to admit to.
âI made her cry,â he says, voice below even a whisper. He hates it and he hates himself for leaving you when he knew heâd hurt you.
Dick nods, not saying anything. Heâs definitely been there before, though heâs not nearly as volatile as Jason can be, so he can imagine how this likely played out. In any case, Jason has never responded well to being pushed to talk about his feelings so Dick lets him get there in his own time.
Heâs half expecting to end up with no results at all, but Jason pipes up after a minute, voice broken.
âI donât know what she wants me to do,â he rasps.
Dick takes a deep breath, adjusting his posture. âWhen girls are mad you give them space but when theyâre sad you definitely donât. Is she sad or mad?â
Jason exhales desperately.
âBoth, I think.â
Dick nods, understanding.
âThen go home.â
Jason shakes his head, defeated. âShe told me to leave. She doesnât want to talk to me.â
âWhat did you say?â
He huffs, not wanting to bring the memory back up. âI basically told her to fuck off.â
âYeah,â Dick drawls. âI wouldnât let that simmer.â
Jasonâs head snaps over to him. âSheâll break up with me?â
âNo, I donâtââ Dick pauses, thinking over his words. âItâll be fine. Just go home.â
Despite taking the long route on the way to the manor, Jason sped back home on his bike, now unwilling to leave you alone for another second longer than he had to.Â
He creeps through the front door of your apartment, proud and only a little hurt that youâd remembered to lock it.Â
The apartmentâs mostly quiet, nothing but a lamp lighting up the front half. He can hear the shower running from where he stands, the waterfall noise awfully muffled from behind the closed bathroom door.
He bolts the door behind him, pushing forward towards the hallway. He approaches the bathroom door, noticing how thereâs no light flooding out from underneath.
âBaby?â Jason calls it out quietly, like heâs scared to commit to alerting you of his presence.
He hears no response, but he knows you heard him. He knows you heard him in the same way that he knows youâre sitting on the shower floor, curled in on yourself under the sensory relief that the pouring water brings. He doesnât know how, he just does.
So he leans against the door, listening closely, and calls out again, âCan I come in?â
Thereâs a solid ten seconds of silence before you respond, just barely audible over the cascade of water.
âNot right now.â
Your volume has him wincing, saddened and embarrassed that heâs the one that made you feel like this.
He reluctantly walks back to the bedroom with heavy shoulders, thudding his weight down on the mattress. He sits half folded over himself for the next ten minutes, thinking only of you, sitting alone in the shower with your thoughts.
He perks up considerably when he hears the water shut off, and after several long minutes, you emerge from the bathroom, towel wrapped around your middle.
He stands up when you enter the bedroom, hands stiff and awkward at his sides. You barely look at him, having trouble willing yourself to do more than glance.Â
Your eyes fall downward, your lips pursing. You instinctually move to clutching the towel tighter around you, more than anything because you donât know what to do with your hands.Â
It makes his heart break to see you so out of comfort around himâbecause of himâso he gives you the benefit of privacy, turning around so you can get dressed. It kills him to do it, makes him feel like heâs just some stranger in your life rather than him. But he supposes that he deserves to feel like that right now.Â
Whether or not you wanted him to turn around goes unsaid, he can only hear the quiet shuffling of you putting clothes on.
He waits until the movement stops, after he hears the squeak of the bed springs and the faint sound of the sheets being pulled up.
He turns around again with a silent sigh, taking in the sight of you laying in bed, back turned to him. Â
He approaches slowly, stopping just before his knees hit the mattress. He notices quickly that the t-shirt youâd chosen was one of your own. He frowns. Â
âSweetheart. Can I touch you?â His voice is soft and low, like heâs trying to coax you back out to him.
It takes a long few moments, but you nod.
He sits down on the bed, still hesitant to go through with it.
âWill you turn over?â
An even longer pause and youâre flipping over to face him. You donât make eye contact, only look blankly past him. Your blinks are heavy, and even in the dark, he can see that your eyes are still bloodshot.Â
He brushes your hair back, his fingers feather-light against you, like heâs scared to touch you too harshly. Like heâs touching porcelain.
He lets you hold the silence for a while, reasoning with himself that youâll talk when youâre ready.
You let it go on longer than heâd hoped, past the point of him knowing what to do with it. Heâd hoped youâd yell at him. He can take that, he knows he can. He can see plainly that youâre thinking deeply and wants more than anything for you to say it, scream it if you have to.Â
He knows he deserves it and he frankly would take anything over the silence. But then again, he doesnât deserve the reprieve, does he? No, but heâs not strong enough to deny himself the chance to hear your voice.
âSay it,â he urges. âPlease.â
Your fingers tap against the bed sheets for a moment before you sit up, almost defeated.Â
You face him, taking a breath and relenting. âI donât like that you said that to me.â
He nods, brow deep. âMe neither.â
Your shoulders sag at that, and you feel stuck in the moment. You feel guilty too but you donât know if you should. He didnât mean it, you know that, and they werenât his words, really. But the snap of his voice when heâd said it and the look on his faceâit made you feel terrible. It still does.
You look awkwardly to the left, feeling heavily spectated by him and so hyper-conscious of all of your movements. The downturn of your lips gives way to burning in your eyes and before you can do anything about it, tears are spilling out.Â
Jason sees it immediately, his head lulling helplessly.Â
âOh, baby. Please donât cry, please.â
But that only makes it worse, the tears falling faster and heavier at his soft tone.
He forgoes asking permission and pulls you directly into his chest, a firm hand on the back of your head. Itâs what you needed though, to be close to him right now.
âIâm sorry. Iâm really fucking sorry, babyââ he murmurs against your hair, pressing a rough kiss as he holds you tighter.
You shake your head, sniffling. âItâs okay, Jay.â
âNo, itâs not.â
That sentiment lingers for several minutes, as he holds you cheek to chest and rubs soothing patterns into your hair.
Itâs not long before youâre able to fully relax against him, his touch feeling nothing short of therapeutic. Your breathing eventually levels out back to baseline and your thoughts start to find peace amongst themselves.
When youâre ready, you sit back from him, letting him see your face again.                   Â
He visibly winces as he scans over the tears on your cheeks, how theyâre starting to stain.
Youâre still upset, a little, but not nearly as much as youâre sure your face is conveying.Â
âItâs okay,â you tell him, wiping your eyes with your sleeve.
He shakes his head, âIf I ever say something like that to you again, hit me. Iâm serious.â
You drop your hand onto your lap, tilting your head at him with a serious look. âIâm not going to hit youââ
âThen break up with me. Donât ever let somebody talk to you like that, especially not me.â
His voice is hard and you can tell the impact of his words have every bit of weight intended.
Your mouth closes and you waver unsure of where to go with that. Your gaze falls down to where your hands lie discarded on your lap and thereâs a palpable shift to the air in the room.
âHey.â He pushes your chin up to make you look at him, âListen to me. Youâre the love of my life. You hear me? Iâm supposed to take care of you, make you happy. I donâtâŚI canât talk to you like that. Iâm sorry. Iâm really sorry.â
Your eyes flicker back and forth across each others and you can see the genuine sincerity etched plainly across his face.
He processes the comprehension across your own before his jaw tenses for a moment and he adds, âNobodyâs gonna talk to you like that, much less me. Yes?âÂ
You start to nod slowly and he mirrors you until heâs convinced of your belief in the statement.Â
He rubs calm circles into your thighs as you both sit with the conversation, the light sounds of each others breaths the only sound heard. This silence isnât the same as it was before though, itâs safer, more comfortable. Itâs familiar, if not weighted. Â
âI love you,â you tell him quietly.
His eyebrows furrow like his heart was just shattered.Â
âI love you too, baby. So much.â

stay, little valentine, stay ・đŚšÂ° jason todd
đ§ŕžŕ˝˛ your roommate makes the fateful mistake of passing you, his roommate, off as his girlfriend to his boundary ignorant family. now the both of you are tasked with maintaining a faux romance for the entirety of a dinner at wayne manorâsimple enough, right?
wc 4.2k | roommate!jason, lowercase intended, fem!reader, brief mention of booze, cursing, mutual pining, two idiots fake datingâŚtruly what more can i say (a lot, so). please, enjoy my 'funny little valentines' day special áŻáĄŁđŠ
âthereâs not enough room in the freezer for the ice trays. either move your booze or enjoy an ice free apartment,â your voice is tinged with annoyance as you stare down your long-term roommate.
heâs laid back on the shared couch, right cushion side, staring back at you with a impish grin on his face, âor, you could finally throw out that cake you bought for your âpromotionâ party. since, the fuckinâ promotion never happened and it takes up half of my freezer.â
âour freezer.â you add. âand fuck you, i could still get that promotion any day now. i can always unfreeze itâgood as new.â
jason seems to be beginning to tune you out as your eyes drift to a new letter on the fridge, stuck on with an âi hate gothamâ magnet. the print is fancy, cursive, bold black inkâYOUâRE INVITEDâit reads.
âwhat are we invited to?â you ask, ice tray debacle not at all at the forefront of your mind now. not when you can tell your roommateâs got an invite from his estranged past guardian, none other than bruce wayne.
he hums a reply at first, still zeroed in to the rerun of some prison show. when he finally picks up on your question he sours, visibly, âsome idiotic anniversary dinner for dick and kori. weâre not going, you werenât even invited.â
you pout, âi want to go! why canât we go?â
jasonâs got a stern look on his face now, and youâve always found it so unnerving how quickly he musters it upâusually so relaxed in your shared domain.
âweâre not going because i told a lie, and if we show upâŚeveryone will know.â he groans, âjust drop it, i need a little more time to ride this out.â
suddenly more intrigued, you prance over to him on the couch, flopping down beside him, âa lie?â
âdonât. just drop it.â he huffs at the obvious annoyance on your face, âitâs just stupid.â
âcâmon, we know all of each others âstupidâ shit. what was the lie, todd?â youâre being genuine, riddling your appeasement with a sweetly sardonic tone.
finally, after a good minute of staring at a very completive jason, he cracks, âi might have alluded to being in a relationship with you.â
your smile cracks before he even finishes his admission, oscillating between confusion and sheer giddinessâtrying to halt the part of your brain that wants to imagine a life where a relationship isnât such a laughable idea.
you curl your lips to stifle your last giggles before looking back up at him, âwhy?â
jason shifts in his seat, clearly uncomfortable with the question. his eyes dart away from yours, finding sudden interest in the television screen, "bruce kept...asking about my life here. if i was settling in, if i was happy." he runs a hand through his dark hair, "and then, all the others got involved, asking to set me up with people. i needed them to stop asking. and you-" he pauses, scratching the back of his neck, "you were the most believable option.â
you stare at him, unblinking, trying to process his words. "most believable optionâŚâ you repeat slowly, testing how the phrase feels on your tongue. a warmth spreads across your chest-whether from flattery or something else entirely, you're not quite sure. "so, what? think i canât pretend to be your girlfriend for a dinner?" the idea sends an unwelcome flutter through your chest. you curse yourself.
jason's expression shifts, a mix of surprise and something else you can't quite read. "you'd do that?" he asks, his voice carrying an unusual note of vulnerability.
"of course," you reply, trying to keep your tone light and casual. "what are roommates for? plus, free fancy dinner at wayne manor? count me in." you're aiming for nonchalance, but your heart is racing at the prospect.
jason's jaw clenches, a tell-tale sign of him thinking too hard, "it's not that simple. they'll know it's fake. bruce especiallyâdick and tim tooâtheyâre too observant for their own good.â
"oh please," you wave off his concern, settling deeper into the couch cushions, "we've lived together for what, two years now? we already act like an old married couple anyway. i know your coffee order, you know my work schedule. we share groceries, we fight about ice traysââ you gesture broadly to the kitchen, "it's practically method acting at this point."
he looks at you then, really looks at you, with an expression you can't quite read. "you'd really do that? pretend to be with me in front of my entire family?"
"of course i would," you say softly, nudging his shoulder with yours. "what are friends for if not to fake date each other to avoid awkward family dinners?" you try to keep your tone light, ignoring the way your stomach flips when he smiles at you that rare, genuine smile that makes his eyes crinkle at the corners.
"fine." he finally concedes, shrugging his shoulders, "but we need to get our story straight. no holes, no gapsâi figured we'd keep it close to the truth. roommates who gradually realized there was something more." he pauses, then adds, "the best lies are built on truth or some shit, right?â
you nod, and start crafting the imagined romance with jason. over the next hour, you both piece together your relationship timelineâhow you first bonded over late night takeout after his patrols, the way you'd patch him up after particularly rough nights, and how somewhere between shared grocery runs and movie marathons, faux you fell for him. or him for youâthe both of you can't agree on that just yet.
you try not to focus on how easy it is to imagine, how some of these made-up memories feel more like documentation rather than fabrication.
"okay, and when did we actually get together?" you ask, pulling your knees up to your chest, trying to ignore how invested you're becoming in this alternate reality.
"three months ago." jason answers quickly, too quickly, like he's already thought about this. "after that night I came home really beaten up, remember? you were so pissed at me for being reckless."
you remember that night vividlyâhow he ever thinks you could forget, youâre unsure.
him stumbling through the window at three in the morning, blood seeping through his stupid jacket. how your hands shook as you stitched him up, how quiet he was, how close his blanched face was to yours. youâd attributed the racing of your heart to fear, but nowâŚnot so much.
"yeah," you say softly. "that works."
the rest of the week flies by in a blur of preparation and anxiety, until suddenly it's the night of the dinner, and you're standing in front of your mirror, wondering if you've made a terrible mistake.
you're wearing a deep red-toned dress that hits just above your kneeâsomething you'd bought on a whim (a fifty percent off sale) months ago and never found the right occasion for. jason had given it an approving nod when you'd shown him, which somehow makes you feel more nervous than reassured as you stare yourself down.
"ready?" jason's voice comes from behind you, and you turn to find him adjusting his tie in the hallway mirror. he looksâŚdifferent. good different. the suit fits him perfectly, and you wonder briefly if alfred had something to do with that. the older man has a penchant for doting over your overgrown battling ram of a roommate.
"as i'll ever be." you manage, trying to keep your voice steady. "but, um, how convincing do you think we need to be?"
jason's eyes meet yours in the mirror, "enough to fool the world's greatest detective," he sighs, "and his army of protĂŠgĂŠs." he turns to face you properly, and something in his expression softens, but he looks away too quickly for you to discern, "you look really pretty."
"thanks." you mumble, fiddling with your clutch. "so do you. veryâŚboyfriend."
he laughs, but it sounds slightly strained. "that's the idea, isn't it?" he offers his arm to you, "shall we?"
the drive to wayne manor is muted. jason's knuckles are white on the shifter, and you find yourself reaching over to place your hand over his without thinking. he startles slightly, but he doesn't pull awayâeven keeps contact as he switches gears.
"hey." you start softly, "we've got this. we know each other better than anyone, we live together. besides, what's the worst that could happen?"
jason sighs, his hand tightening slightly under yours. "you clearly donât know how bruce and tim get at these things. anniversary or not, they'll smell blood in the water if we slip up."
"relax," you assure him, glancing out at the looming trees lining the driveway. "i doubt theyâll care about your relationship timeline when theyâre busy fawning over how happy dick and kori are."
jason shoots you a look that clearly says 'don't tempt fate', but his grip on the wheel loosens slightly. "justâŚfollow my lead. and if it gets too weird, we can always fake a medical emergency."
"that...is always an option." you grin, trying to ignore the way your stomach flips when he smiles back.
the manor looms up ahead, and as jason pulls up to the gate, you feel his hand squeeze yours briefly, almost indecipherable.
"last chance to back out." he murmurs.
you intertwine your fingers with his, ignoring the voice in your head that whispers how right it feels. "not a chance, todd. you're stuck with me."
the gates open, and as you drive up the winding driveway, you're unable to shake the feeling that you're about to cross a line you can't come back from. but with jason's hand so warm and relaxed in yours, you're not sure you want to.
jason parks the car in front of the house at the partition, "in case we need a quick exit." he shrugs.
"i think you're too worried, jason. i doubt they'll even question it. you said they wanted you dating anyway, i bet they'll just be happy." your voice is quiet, hand hovering in front of the doorbell.
he sighs, "you don't know these people, they question everything."
before you can reply or try to alleviate his doubts, the double doors fly open. you grab jason's hand in your own and pull him closer, just as alfred sets eyes on the pair of you.
alfred's eyes visibly brighten at the sight of both of you, his normally reserved expression softening into something fonder, "master jason," he greets, a ghost of a smile on his lips, "and miss, how lovely for you to be joining tonight. everyone is very excited to meet you, i fear my few stories were not enough to quell them."
you smile, a real genuine one too, "it's nice to see you again alfred! i hope we're not too lateâjason decided to change his tie last minute."
alfred hums and beckons you both inside, "fashionable tardiness, miss. i assure you."
jason, hand now sweaty in yours, chuckles, "he's being nice since you're with me. he's usually irate by my lateness."
you shoot jason a pointed look as alfred continues. "master richard and miss kori have been eagerly awaiting your arrival. their anniversary dinner is a rare occasion theyâve pulled out all the stops for, you see."
jason grumbles something under his breath that sounds suspiciously like, overachievers.
the sound of multiple voices echos through from a room, and you feel jason's grip tighten slightly. you've heard stories about his family for years nowâmostly complaints, occasionally fond remembrances, and everything in between during late night conversations over takeout.
"master bruce insisted on formal dining tonight." alfred mentions, though his tone suggests mild disapproval. you've learned over your visits that alfred much prefers when the family dines in the kitchen.
jason scoffs quietly, "because god forbid we eat somewhere comfortable." you squeeze his hand again, a silent reminder of your emergency exit strategy. two years of living together has given you an extensive library of non-verbal communications.
the dining room, when you enter, is exactly as alfred has described it countless timesâgrandiose in a way that speaks to old money and older traditions. the table stretches long and elegant, set with what you recognize as the âgood chinaâ alfred often mentions.
your muscles tense slightly as you finally notice all of the eyes on youâstaring and studyingâyou have to think before you step.
bruce wayne rises first, and despite all of jason's stories, despite seeing him on tv and in newspapers, you're struck by his presence. "jason." he greets, then turns his attention to you. "we've all heard quite a bit about you from alfred, though significantly less from my son."
you feel jason's posture stiffen, but you're prepared for this. "oh, you know how jason is with sharing things." you say easily, the words flowing naturally after years of defending his privacy to nosy neighbors and concerned coworkers. "though, alfred's probably told you all my embarrassing stories by now."
dick graysonâexactly as handsome as the magazines suggestâbreaks into a wide grin. "actually, alfred's been surprisingly tight lipped. just kept saying we should ask jason ourselves." his eyes sparkle with mischief. "which, of course, got us nowhere."
"some things don't need to be broadcast to the whole family." jason grumbles, but his thumb is mindlessly drawing small circles on your hand, a gesture you've learned means he's more comfortable than he's letting on.Â
"oh, but this is so wonderful!" a melodic, cheerful voice chimes in, and you glance up to see koriandârâkori to mostâseated beside dick, her vibrant curly red hair catching the light as she smiles radiantly. "you must forgive us for prying, but jason does not often share suchâŚdelightful surprises."
"by 'us,' she means her." dick cuts in with a smirk, earning a playful nudge from kori.
"yes, and what of it?" she replies lightly, turning her attention fully to you. "you see, jason is like a tamaranian grisnekâso fierce and protective on the outside, but underneath, he is all kindness and loyalty. how could we not be curious about the person who has captured his heart?"
"great. glad we're all analyzing my personal life at the dinner table." jason mutters, though his hand stays on yours, his grip steady.
"do not be fooled," kori says in a whisper that is anything but subtle, her green eyes sparkling with mischief. "jason pretends to be irritated, but inside, i know he is glowing with happiness."
your lips twitch into a smile despite yourself, and jason sighs heavily, his shoulders sagging with mock defeat. "i think i'm gonna need another drink."
kori leans back, laughing softly, the sound warm and lilting, as she looks between you and jason once more. "you are lovely." she adds sincerely, her tone softening. "and jason could not have chosen better."
tim drake, who you've only seen in passing when he's stopped by your apartment to drop off miscellaneous âprivateâ documents, raises an eyebrow. "yes, it's all very sweet." he hums it almost, tone carefully neutral but eyes sharp, studying you.
"sweet indeed." you agree, letting some of your genuine fondness for jason color your voice. it's not hard to fake being in love with someone when you've spent two years memorizing their coffee order, patching up their wounds, and falling asleep on their shoulder during movie marathons. the hard part, you're starting to realize, might be pretending it's all pretend.
bruce barely looks up from his plate as he speaks again, cutting through your blissful thoughts of jason, âa shame i wasnât aware you two were involved.â
jason tenses beside you, the muscle in his jaw ticking. âyeah, well. guess you donât know everything, old man.â
bruce sets his fork down with deliberate slowness. his gaze flicks between the two of you, assessing, âi never said i did.â his voice is even, unreadable. âbut you donât bring people around often. thatâs worth noting.â
jason scoffs, like he couldnât care less, but thereâs a flicker of something in his eyesâannoyance, unease, probably both.
jasonâs hand finds yours under the table. itâs definitely not a calculated move, not a necessary nor obvious display for the act youâre putting on. itâs justâthere. warm and solid, his fingers curling around yours like itâs the most natural thing in the world.
you donât let go.
dinner progresses with a strange mix of tension and ease. You find yourself falling into natural conversation with dick about your work, while jason maintains a careful distance from bruce's attempts at engagement. still, his hand hasn't left yours, and you're starting to wonder if he's forgotten it's all for show.
"soâhow did you two finally get together?" dick asks, leaning forward with genuine interest.
you exchange a quick glance with jason, settling into the story you've rehearsed. "it wasn't really some big dramatic moment," you say, the lie feeling uncomfortably close to the truth. "we just...realized we work."
jason picks up the thread smoothly, his thumb still tracing patterns on your hand. "she was patching me up after a rough night, mad at me for being so bruised," he says, and you can hear the genuine emotion in his voice. "and i just...i dont knowâknew, i guess."
tim's watching you both with analytical eyes, and you wonder if he can see through the charade. "that tracks." he says finally. "you two have always been...close."
"speaking of close," dick interjects with a grin, "i think it's hilarious jason used to insist you were 'just roommates', and yet never went on any of the dates i set him up on. i should have known, really." there's a pout on his face, humourous.
you laugh, perhaps a bit too nervously, "well, we were. for a while." the irony of the statement isn't lost on you. you can see jason watching you from your peripheral, face stoicâbut his eyes are soft. the way they watch over you, simply affectionate.
bruce, who's been quietly observing, finally speaks. "i'm glad jason has someone looking out for him," he says, and there's something in his tone that makes your heart ache. "he's always been...independent."
jason's grip on your hand tightens almost imperceptibly. "yeah, well, some things change." he mutters, but there's less bite in his words than usual.
the conversation shifts to safer topicsâwork, current events, alfred's latest culinary experiments. you find yourself relaxing despite the pretense, falling into familiar patterns of banter with jason, finishing his sentences, and sharing knowing looks.
it's during dessert that damian, who's been suspiciously quiet, finally speaks up. "you're good for him," he declares with all the authority of a youngest sibling. "he's less annoying when you're around."
jason chokes on his tiramisu, and you pat his back automatically, the gesture so natural you don't even think about it. "thanks, damian!" you say, fighting back a smile. "i think."
as the evening winds down and dinner ends, you find yourself in the manor's vast library, having wandered away from the group for a moment of quiet. besides, you feel somewhat redundant against their coded phrases and stories. jason finds you, as he always does.
"hey." he speaks softly, coming to stand beside you. "you doing okay?"
you turn to face him, suddenly very aware of how close he is. "yeah, i'm good. your family's...intense, but nice. just like you said."
he laughs quietly, but there's something different in his eyes. "you're amazing, you know that? playing along with all this. you didn't have to."
"i wanted to." you admit, and it feels dangerous how true those words are. "besides, what are fake girlfriends for?"
jason's looking at you with an expression you can't quite read, and for a moment, you think he might say something more. but then dick's voice calls from somewhere far off in the house and the moment gaps.
"we should head back." jason says, but he doesn't move. "before they send a search party."
you nod, trying to ignore the way your heart is racing. "yeah, we should."
but neither of you moves, caught in this strange liminal space where pretend and reality blur, and you're no longer sure which is which. even less sure if you hunger for dreams or waking existenceâwhich is which? for a split second, you want to reach out. you desperately want to feel himâto possibly transfer the devotion youâre still too afraid to admit you harbor.
jasonâs breath is staggered, coming out forced and shallow. his eyes, darker in the dim light, are flitting between you and the doorâuntil he focuses in on you, fully. youâre too confused as to why heâs getting closer to you to react accordingly when his lips brush yours.
your first instinct is to furrow your brows, still confused. then, you kiss back. hungrily. confusion still fogs your mind, but nowhere near the way jason does. his lips are chapped, plump, and still tasting faintly of expensive dark liquor. his body cages you close him, hands respectfully at your shoulders. of course the only thing you can recognize is jason.
you err on the side respectfulnessâopting to tug him closer by the tie. thereâs a flash of the memory of him putting it on, and you canât fight a small smirk from slipping onto your lips. jason must notice, because he finally breaks away to peer down at you.
âwhat?â he whispers, panting and staring down at your lips.
âwhat do you mean, what? we kissed.â you still feel giddy from his kiss, but reality begins to settle into you like a winter chill.
jason watches you closely, his expression a mix of smugness and unease, âhmmmâplaying it dangerous.â he finally murmurs, shaking his head.
you arch a brow, feigning derision. âyou say that to all the girls, todd?â
he exhales a laugh, raking a hand through his hair. âyeah,â he huffs. âthat grand number of...you.â
before you can say anything, footsteps echo just outside the library's door. jason instinctively steps back, widening the space between you just as dick pokes his head in. âthere you two are! we were about to send out a search party.â
you smile, pushing down the lingering tension. âsorry. just taking a little tour.â
dickâs gaze flickers between you and jason, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. âright. well, come on. we're playing charadesâand bruce is actually smiling. you donât want to miss that.â
jason groans, but he follows you and dick back back toward the others. his hand brushes against yours in the hallway, and for a second, you think heâs going to take it again. but he doesnât.Â
charades is winding down by the time you return, alfred putting away various dry erase boards and markers with the kind of efficiency only a butler can possesses.
kori beams when she sees you, reaching out to squeeze your hand. âlovebrids! you have returned!" she gestures to herself and grayson, "thank you for comingâwe would like to extend our support to your relationship.â
jason lets out a little breath, like he wasnât expecting thatâlike he isnât sure what to do with the sincerity. âthanks, kori.â
bruce, too, seems slightly less intimidating now. âthank you for comingâyouâre welcome here anytime, both of you.â he tells you, and it sounds like a rare offering.
something about it all settles in your chest, warm and unexpected. youâve spent so much time being jasonâs person in privateâpatching him up, watching his back, making sure he gets home in one pieceâthat itâs almost startling to have it acknowledged in front of everyone else.
goodnights and goodbyes come soon after, and tim catches jason by the elbow before the pair of you can walk out the door, pulling him aside for a hushed conversation. you linger near the doorway, talking with kori and dick, but you canât help the way your attention keeps flickering back to jason.
when he finally returns to your side, his expression is unreadable. âready to go?â
you nod, murmuring your goodbyes as you both step back into the night air. jason doesnât say anything as he leads you back to the car, but his hands flex at his sides.
the drive back is quieter than before, the easy banter from earlier replaced with something heavier, something neither of you seems willing to touch just yet. jasonâs grip is tight on the wheel, his jaw set, eyes fixed on the road.
it isnât until youâre pulling into the familiar streets near your apartment that he finally speaks. âthey bought it.â
you huff a quiet laugh. âyeah? i told you so.â
jasonâs eyes flick to you for a fraction of a second before he exhales. âthank you, seriously. you were great.â
you glance at him, something warm curling in your chest. âwe just make a good team.â
something glints in his expression, something hesitant, something aching. âyeah,â he agrees, voice quieter. âwe do.â
the silence stretches between you as he parks the car. you unbuckle your seatbelt, but neither of you make a move to get out. stuck stagnant.
âso, this is was fake...â you murmur, more to yourself than to him.
jasonâs fingers drum against the steering wheel, knuckles red. âyeah.â
you should leave it at that. you should forget the kiss. you should revert back to just his roommate. you should laugh it off, make some joke about how convincing you both wereâbut you don'tâinstead you say, âdoes it still feel fake to you? us...tonight?â
jasonâs breath catches. for a long moment, he doesnât answer. you almost let doubt seep in.
then, he turns, his eyes dark and searching. âgod, no.â
your heart stutters in your chest, and you swallow hard, pulse roaring in your ears. âgood. me neither.â
for a second, he just looks at you, like heâs waiting for you to take it back, to laugh it off. but you donât, you won't. and when he leans inâslow, hesitant, like heâs giving you every chance to pull awayâyou donât.
you decide to meet him halfway, instead.

warnings: >18 iâll block ur ass stay away 18+
A = AFTERCARE
Aftercare is just as important to him as sex itself, if not more so. Heâll lay with you until you catch your breath, giving light kisses to the nearest part of your body. Once youâre back to baseline, heâll get a warm rag to clean you up, being more gentle than he needs to be with your sensitive body. If you want it, heâll grab one of his shirts for you to wear and pull it over your head for you. Heâll cover you up in your blankets and hold you close, murmuring to you how pretty you are, how good you did for him, how much he loves you.
B = BODY
His favorite body part of his own is his arms. He likes how strong he is, plus they emphasize his frame which plays into his size kink too. For you, itâs your waist. As weâll discuss more later, he loves holding onto your hips during sex and heâs a big fan of kissing down your stomach as a way to initiate.
C = CUM
He prefers to come inside of you most of the time, but he likes coming in your mouth or on your body too. He will not come on your face though, he feels like itâs disrespectful to you, even if youâre into it. Heâs a big guy and he comes a lotâmore than he wished he would. That's part of the reason heâd rather come in you than on you, he thinks itâs embarrassing how much comes out. The first couple of times you had sex heâd tried to distract you with kisses as he came, hoping you wouldnât notice it. Once he learns that you donât mind it though, even like it, it eases his anxieties considerably.
D = DIRTY SECRET
Heâs definitely masturbated once or twice when you were asleep next to him and he didnât want to wake you. He felt gross about it but you looked so good with the way his shirt rode up against the curve of your ass, your panties on display. Your cheek was mushed up against the pillow next to him and he wanted to kiss you silly more than anything, but you had to be up early in the morning. So he took care of it himself, admiring your pretty face. No, heâll never tell you that happened.
E = EXPERIENCE
Heâs had sex just enough to know that he has a big dick and has to be careful when heâs fucking someone. Before you it was mostly a method of blowing off steam, but it wasnât something he craved like he does with you. There was always minimal kissing, if any, and it was more procedural than anything. So when it comes to romantic sex, his experience was 0 but that makes it that much better. He didnât have too much experience otherwise and he was fine with that. He had more important things to worry about than sex. That was, until he met you.
F = FAVORITE POSITION
He likes anything where he can hold your hips the most. So cowgirl and missionary are never misses, especially for how well heâs able to see your face. He also likes fucking you against the wall, it makes for easy access to kiss you. In spite of how much he loves seeing your expressions during sex, he canât deny how much he loves holding your hips in place during doggy. His least favorites are probably prone bone and reverse cowgirl, theyâre too impersonal and dispassionate.
G = GOOFY
Heâs going to take it very seriously the first handful of times. Heâs not taking any risks about hurting you or making the experience anything short of extremely pleasurable for you. And in his mind, to do that he needs to focus. After you get more comfortable with each other though, he starts to relax and trust himself to be able to take care of you, even with a more laid-back attitude. The silliest sex you have will be when youâre drunk/tipsy, itâs very smiley and giggly. Generally, heâll make jokes now and again, smile at your smiles, but heâs still more serious about sex than not.
H = HAIR
Heâll trim to keep up appearances, especially after he meets you, but itâs not something heâs overly concerned about. For you, heâs really truly completely neutral about whether or not you shave, but heâs likely to encourage you not to, if not only so you know you donât have to change anything for him. But he wonât blink twice either way.
I = INTIMACY
Sex with you is always intimate for him. He tells you he loves you during it often, praising you constantly. He brushes your hair back when it gets messy and wipes your tears away with a gentle hand. Heâll call you beautiful and kiss you nice as he fucks you, holding your hand all the while.
J = JACK OFF
He rarely needs to get himself off, really only if heâs away on a mission for a while. Itâs definitely not the preferred circumstances but heâll make do when he has to. He feels like a fucking perv when he thinks about you while heâs doing it, but he canât come otherwise. He knows you wouldnât care but he still feels gross about it. The way he remedies this is usually by communicating with you directly, telling you how much he misses you and how much he wants you there with him.
K = KINKS
Above all else, he has a major size kink. He absolutely loves how much bigger than you he is and it gets him going at the most random times. He likes being stronger than you and making you go/stay where he wants you. On a related note, he also likes to restrain you. The implied deepness of the trust you have in him turns him on so bad. Plus, he likes being in control, and you not being able to wiggle gives him the chance to take care of you however he wants. Edging is another one he likes but heâs not always so good at it. He has a hard time denying you and when youâre begging him so sweetly to let you comeâŚwho is he to say no? Though, if youâve been a bit of a brat heâll be merciless about it. On the flip side, sometimes heâll overstimulate you but itâs not his favorite of the two because he canât always handle seeing you cry like that. But he does like the idea of you getting lost in so much pleasure that you donât know what to do with yourself.
L = LOCATION
His favorite place to fuck you is anywhere in your apartment. Your bed, shower, kitchen, couch, the rugâŚHe likes it a) because itâs private and heâs free to take care of his girl whenever he wants and b) he likes seeing you in the same spot going about your day where heâd made you come just a few hours ago. Heâs also not opposed to subtle car sex, especially for going down on one another. Heâs not a big fan of public stuff, if he were to do it, it would be in a situation where he was certain you wouldnât get caught. Heâs too private to get off on the risk and frankly, he doesnât much like the potential of someone else seeing you the way he gets to see you.
M = MOTIVATION
He gets turned on by just about anything you do. If you wear tank tops, his clothes, shirt and no pants, those will all get him going. Then thereâs things like play fighting, seeing you stick up for yourself (especially against him), when you yell, if you just touch him. He really is in love with you and everything that you do.
N = NO
JTLHG!jason is mainly dominant, but he can be submissive for you if you approach it the right way. Youâd have to be subtle and encouraging or else his pride will get in the way. Anything him or you do in these times would be very soft and gentle, more vanilla than anything for the sake of reassurance. His biggest no here is restraints. Sex requires a lot of trust for him and as much as he does trust you, he would feel much too vulnerable tied up and he wouldnât like it. However, when heâs the one in control heâs not afraid to be moreâŚadventurous. That being said, he wouldnât be into choking you or hitting you. I think even if you were very clearly into it, it would make him feel bad about himself on multiple levels. He doesnât want to hit you, even sexually, and hates the idea of his hands around your neck. Public stuff makes him uncomfortable and degradation is a hard no for him.
O = ORAL
He prefers going down on you by a mile. Heâs usually hesitant to let you do it, he doesnât want you to feel like you have to or for you to potentially lose any pleasure during sex. He really does think it should be all about you and he has a hard time grasping that making him feel good makes you feel good too. He likes to hold your hands when he eats you out, or your waist. He doesnât want to lose any physical contact with youâitâs a very intimate thing and heâll treat it as such. Heâs also been known to rub soothing patterns into your waist or wrap his arms around your thighs to hold them apart. When you give him head itâs overwhelming for him. He denies himself of it so much that he canât handle it when he actually gets it. He likes to hold your hands here sometimes too, but more often than not heâs holding your hair out of your face so he can see youâthe gentle weight of his opposite hand on the back of your head. Heâll struggle to catch his breath, lips parted.
P = PACE
It all depends on the mood for him. He can and will switch it up as needed. He can be very intense and rough, fast thrusts and heated kisses. This can be passionate or angry sex. He can also take it very slow and sensual, and depending on his mood, this can be either very romantic or very torturous.
Q = QUICKIE
He doesnât really like quickies that much, he definitely prefers to take his time with you. Quickieâs donât really allow him to prep you properly, something thatâs incredibly necessary when having sex with him. Anyways he wants to make sure heâs able to give you the best experience possible and he canât do that if heâs rushing. No, he really prefers to take as much time with you as possible.
R = RISK
As mentioned, heâs not much for risky situations. The riskiest heâll get is car sex or sex at the manor. He might make out with you in an alleyway but he wonât full-on do it with you outside. He doesnât want to be caught, doesnât want to worry about it when he has more important things to focus on.
S = STAMINA
He can go for several rounds most nights and even needs to often. He feels bad about it sometimes though, he feels like one round should be enough for him and he shouldnât need to take even more from you. Once he eventually gets it through his head that itâs okay for him to need more, heâs relentless. The thing about him is that he requires little to no recovery time post-orgasm before heâs on you again so you might have to remind him to slow down a little.
T = TOYS
Heâs not the biggest fan of toys, honestly. He doesnât like the idea of a piece of plastic making you come, doing his job for him. It also means heâs less hands on and he doesnât like that at all. Thatâs not to say he wouldnât use them ever, he just wouldnât go out of his way to make it happen. If you had a vibrator or something and you wanted to use it he probably would, if not only so you donât use it by yourself instead. Beyond that thereâs not too much I see him wanting to use, nothing very intense for sure.
U = UNFAIR
Heâs a big tease but doesnât always have the capacity to see it through. If you beg him just the right way he just has to give you what you want. Until youâre able to crack that code though, he seems like an unbeatable force. Heâs constantly touching you and itâs hard for you to tell if itâs absentminded or if thereâs something more behind them. Heâs an expert at attacking that one spot on your neck and getting you just as desperate as he is within a matter of minutes.
V = VOLUME
Heâs a groaner and a grunter, low and deep. He, maybe intentionally, stops himself from moaning more often than not, especially when youâre first together. The best way to get him to make noise is to suck just below his jawline, caress over his v-line, or blow him. He canât control himself when you do any of that.
W = WILD CARD
Jason secretly loves it when you give him as much shit as he gives you. He loves when you tease him, when you tell him âno, weâre not having sex you were being mean.â He canât stop himself from smiling when you yell at him and he doesnât even wish he could. As much as he doesnât want to be submissive, he loves it when you donât either.
X = X-RAY
Yeah so heâs 8.5 inches hard. Heâs a big guy, it stands to reason that heâd have a big dick. Itâs fat too, enough to make you cry the first time you take him.
Y = YEARNING
His sex drive is pretty fucking high after getting with you. It operates half as a means of affection and half as a stress reliever. And boy does he need stress relief. Thereâs phases where he wants you as much as every day, but more often than not itâs like 3-4 times a week.
Z = ZZZ
He wants you to fall asleep before him afterwards, he thinks itâs rude or something if he dozes off first. Heâll often brush his fingers up and down your back, easing you into sleep. If heâs not tired afterwards heâll read while you nap on his chest, comforted by the in and out of your breaths.

It all happened when he was in a good mood. And itâs probably best that it did.
You havenât really been this irritable with Jason before, so neither of you were really expecting the ensuing events. Him, the former portions, and you the ladder.
He didnât say anything about it when you first came home, moping and grumpy, heâd only greeted you with a kiss like he always does and hugged you tight.
Early on in the evening, youâd grumble about the workload of chores you still have to deal with tonight. Again, he made no comment. Instead, he decided to split the work with you, standing shoulder to shoulder as you wash the dishes and he dries.
You hold a plate up in the air, frustrated when itâs not immediately taken from your hand. You glance over to where Jason is still drying the last bowl you handed him, despite it beingâmostlyâdone.Â
âJason, come on,â you complain, not thrilled with the leisurely pace heâs landed on.
He stops his drying movements, looking at you sideways.
âSweetheartâŚtry that again?â
His tone is enough to set you back, resetting your attitude. You donât say anything more, moving along with your movements silently. He accepts the silence for what it isâyieldingâand continues drying the dishes alongside you.
It only takes another twenty minutes for another slip up.
Heâd sat down on the couch expecting you to curl up against him, like you always do, but this mood of yours wouldnât even allow for an assumption as safe as that.
âSeriously?â you grumbled at him, unimpressed with the lack of space. It was quiet, but you know heâd heard you.Â
âWhat was that?âÂ
His tone is a little sterner than it was before, but itâs just as daring of you to answer.
This time, you give him one.
âCan you just fucking move please?â
The look he gives you honestly confuses you at first. Thereâs the expected rise of the eyebrows, but a small smile plays at his lips too. Itâs disbelieving and daring at the same time.Â
âReally? You sure about that one, sweetheart?â
Your chin lowers out of habit upon hearing his tone, but you say nothing.Â
He tilts his head, smirk growing. âOkay.â
You donât immediately clock the comment for the promise that it isâin fact, you donât realize until much later that this was the moment you shouldâve known.
Later that night, heâs sitting on the couch, legs spread wide, silently watching you move throughout the room, huffing. Youâre looking for something that heâs not even sure you brought home, tearing through the apartment with little patience.
He tilts his head, eyes sympathetic.
âBaby.âÂ
He coaxes you with that soft, low voice he uses when heâs trying to coerce you. âCome âere.â
You pause your search, shoulders sagging.Â
You oblige his request, very much in need of his touch after the day youâve had.Â
You straddle his lap, letting him hold you steady by your waist. You initiate a passionate kiss, hands circling the nape of his neck. He breathes you in deeply, rubbing slow circles against your hips. You start to grind your hips down over him, the resulting friction from where his jeans meets the thin fabric of your shorts being addictive.
He traces a light touch along your waist, kissing you with an unequal intensity.
You pick up your pace, grinding with more intent. You moan into his mouth and he kisses you with more intensity.
Just before youâre able to come, he suddenly flips you around so that your back is to his chest. The repositioning momentarily upsets you due to your lost orgasm but the words die off quickly as he begins rubbing at your clit. He kisses your neck as he rubs lucid circles at just the right pace.
His thumb takes over the work as he inserts two fingers in you, pumping slowly. You relax your body against his chest, craning your head to the side so you can kiss his neck. You can feel him hum under your lips, circling your clit faster.Â
Youâre starting to squirm on his lap as your high approaches, lips parting in desperation. You can just see the horizon of bliss when his ministrations stop suddenly.Â
You glance down between your legs, brow furrowed, before looking back up at him.
He doesnât look perturbed in the least, just as easy-going as ever.
He glances at you, tilting his head.Â
âHavenât been very sweet for me today, have you?â
You frown and turn yourself around on his lap again, sitting over his thigh. You press your hands to his still clothed chest, eyes imploring. You start to move your hips over his but he forces you still like itâs nothing.
Despite your active protesting, he lays an unhurried, sweet kiss to your mouth, breaking away slowly.Â
âGood girls get to come,â he whispers against your lips.
You lightly thud your forehead against his, âIâll be good.â
He hums, pursing his lips. âNot tonight.â
Youâre fully whining now, âJayâŚâ
He nods faux-sympathetically, âIâm sorry, baby.â
You try to grind your hips against his thigh but he does little in the way of letting you move. His grip remains firm on your waist as he watches you struggle.Â
He tilts his head, âYou want me to rub your clit some more? I will. But Iâm gonna stop.âÂ
The promise rings a scorching heat in your ears but the opportunity canât be passed up. You know youâre stupid for thinking you can manage to come anyways, but youâre getting desperate.
You nod against him, and he makes a cooing âmhm,â before obliging.
He reaches down again, rubbing languid circles, not fast enough for you to even think about an orgasm.
âPlease,â you beg quietly into the crook of his neck.
You feel him nod before picking up his pace. âOkay, baby.âÂ
Youâre too worked up to notice the lilt in his words, how theyâre a little more âcareful what you wish forâ than you wouldâve liked. You catch up soon, though.
He starts up again, nuzzling his face against your neck as he works your body, hitting that exact right speed. You moan out, head falling back. You can feel his eyelashes flutter against the column of your throat, cheeks warm. This time you get so close that you think heâs going to let you come.
You hit his chest harder than you should when he stops again.Â
He doesnât seem to care though, moving his hand away without an ounce of remorse.
âJayââ you groan, forehead thumping against his shoulder.
Heâs shaking his head before you can finish your complaint, âNuh uh, baby. Youâre not coming tonight.â
He kisses your cheek, nudging you back so he can see you.
âYouâre supposed to take care of me,â you pout. âYou said that.â
He hums, brushing your hair back. âI do take care of you. I am. Just not how you want me to, right?â
You borderline glare at him, not at all thrilled that this is the game heâs choosing to play after today. He doesnât care in the slightest, not really, in spite of how sweet his actions read.
At this point youâre more frustrated and overwhelmed than youâve been in a while, and you donât even realize it as tears start to slip out.
Unfortunately for you, even that does little to sway his mercy. His indulgence only comes through with the way he kisses your tears away from your cheeks. His touch remains gentle with you, too gentle, and itâs making you feel like youâre losing your mind.
His hands slip under your shirt to hold you in place, undeterred by your squirming. He pecks a series of kisses all across your face, ignoring your whining.
You push his hands off of you with a huff, pulling yourself off of his lap and onto the couch cushions. You start to frantically rub at your clit yourself, subconsciously knowing that you only have a moment to get away with this. Your success lasts half of that though, before Jason scoops up both of your hands and pins them to your chest, holding you still.
He huffs out a laugh, âNo, baby.âÂ
His tone is almost mockingly sympathetic.
âJasonâ!â
He leans over you, basically making out with your neck languidly. The intense affection directed towards the wrong place is maddening and it has you squeezing your eyes shut.
Several more rounds of this go on before you give up, collapsing onto his chest. His hands still keep your wrists pinned against him as you fall asleep, light kisses being pressed to your hairline.
You canât be completely sure, but you think you dream of a scenario or two where he actually lets you come. Ha.Â
When you wake up youâre in your bed, sheets pulled up over you. The sky is glowing an orange-pink hue and the city is still mostly quiet.
As you push yourself to sit up, you notice the bedroom door is open and the sound of sizzling can be heard from the kitchen.
You creep out from under the covers, tip-toeing through the living room. You can be certain he knows youâre there by now but he makes no acknowledgement of your sneaking.
As you approach, he lets you duck under his arms, resituating them around you so youâre comfortable. He kisses the top of your head, not looking away from his work on the skillet.
You rest your cheek on his chest, murmuring, âJayâŚâ
âYeah, pretty?â
âIâm sorryâŚâ
âI know, baby.âÂ
He sets the spatula down, using his now free hand to nudge your chin up to look at him. âYou gonna be my good girl?â
You nod submissively, hoping to God that he believes you this time.Â
âYeah?â
You nod harder, and he returns the gesture, mulling it over.Â
He wordlessly nudges you backwards to sit at the kitchen table. You watch dumbly as he turns back to the counter, scooping the entire contents of the pan out onto a plate.Â
He faces you again, plopping the plate of eggs down in front of you.
âEat.â
You frown at him, fully ready to start pouting when he cuts you off.
âYou havenât eaten in like twelve hours. Eat, then weâll talk.â
You donât want to talk, but you slump your shoulders and take a bite.
He moves to stand behind you, pleased, resting his chin atop your head.Â
He caresses your waist as you eat, torturously gentle and kind.Â
After a few minutes of silently eating and enduring, you tilt your chin to look up at him, frowning.
âYouâre being mean.â
He raises his brows down at you, âIâm the one being mean now?â
You break eye contact, dropping your focus back to the plate of half finished food.Â
âI said Iâm sorry,â you mumble.
He brushes your hair back from your neck gently, âYeah, you did.â
He says nothing more so you continue stuffing food into your mouth as quickly as you can without attracting suspicion.
When youâve scraped the plate clean and can be sure he has nothing left to ask of you, you get up and set the plate in the sink.
You look up at him expectantly, still frowning.
âJay?â
He looks almost bored as he contemplates, taking in your expression.Â
He concedes after a few moments gesturing you towards him.Â
âYeah, come here.â
Youâre too fast to have even tried to play it cool, but neither of you wouldâve believed it anyways. Â
He drops a hand down to the edge of your shorts, about to slip beneath the fabric. You stop his hand before it can go any further, imploring.Â
âI want to come.â
He raises his eyebrows, âYeah? I want my good girl back.â
You nod in yield, happy to give him whatever he wants at this point.
He removes his hand, and lifts you up by your thighs, bringing you up to his height momentarily. He sets you down on the table, laying you back.
âJason, pleaseââ you beg, trembling for whatâs to come.
He nuzzles his nose against your cheek, âYeah, Iâll make you come, baby. âCourse I will.â
He pushes you to lay back, pulling your shirt up to your collarbone, and pressing sweet kisses to your chest.
He kneads your left breast in his large palm, kissing your right with a feverish amount of attention.
He switches after a moment, giving some love to the other side of your chest before beginning to work his way down.
He lays kisses down your sternum, leading to your navel. His affection is just as tender as it had been last night and youâre not sure whether to trust it.
Youâre not given much time to mull it over before heâs pulling your shorts and underwear down in one go, letting them drop onto the tiles.
He leaves open mouthed kisses on your pussy, sucking gently on your clit periodically.
He wraps one hand around your thigh, keeping your legs open. His other hand rests atop your stomach, mostly idle except for the occasional reassuring brush of his thumb.
His eyelashes flutter as he eats you out, and you only realize now why he hadnât last night. Heâs not much for denying you when he gets you like thisâhe likes it too much to stop. Especially when youâre begging him so pretty.
Youâre not quite sure when heâs taking the time to breathe but you canât bring yourself to care right now.
Even if you werenât still so on edge after last night, heâs really good at using his mouth. He works you up quickly, bringing you close after only a couple minutes.
When he can tell youâre there, he nods encouragingly, rubbing your clit with his thumb for the brief moment he breaks away. âCome on sweetheart. You can come.â
Warmth floods your body upon hearing the words, knowing that he wouldnât lie to you.
You call out a noise thatâs half a moan, half a whine. You shake under him, legs stiffening as he continues to work you through the orgasm.Â
He kisses your clit once more, humming.
âOh, there she is. Thereâs my sweet girl.â
He moves back up your body, pulling you to sit up slowly. He holds you up by your lower back whispering soft praises.Â
âGood girl,â he murmurs, kissing your neck.
You sigh silently, catching your breath.

warnings: nonspecific discussions on how jason died
(1) the drop-in
The sound of water splashing under toy boats and fish fills the small room.
You ring the washcloth out over the suds, Roryâs idle hands scooping up the excess. She entertains herself with the slowly dissolving bubbles between her fingers as you fill up your cup.
âPut your head back,â you tell her, nudging her forehead.
She does, squeezing her eyes shut.
You pour the cup of water over her head, combing through her hair. You refill the cup again as she pipes up.Â
âMommy,â she says with a casual lull in her voice.Â
You pour it out again, making sure to rinse the shampoo at her roots, âHm?â
Her hand comes up to wipe the stream from off her forehead, âHow did daddy get that scar?âÂ
âWell, daddy has lots of scars,â you say carefully. âYou know that.â
She shakes her head, âLittler scars. He has a big one though, right here.âÂ
She points up and down her torso.Â
âWhat happened?â
You take a breath, eyes focused on the dissolving suds. âWhat happenedâŚâ
She continues on, âHe said scars come from when you get hurt and the bigger ones are bigger hurts. How did he get such a big hurt?â
âUm...â Sheâs quite young to hear that story, especially coming from you. Your older daughters have an awareness of what happened, though itâs never been formally discussed. You think Mia knows what the autopsy scar is and the twins definitely know he died at the very least. Youâve been made aware that thereâs beenâŚdiscussions at school about who their dad is and how he one day died and then years later magically reappeared. You and Jason had decided that you would talk to them about it eventually, but only when they were old enough to not be completely traumatized hearing it.
You just hadnât assumed that day would creep up on you like this.
You sit back, tense. âDid you ask him that?â
âNoâŚâ she says gravely. âI donât wanna make him sad.â
You nod, trying to collect your thoughts. How can you steer away from this without attracting more questions?Â
âDo you know what happened?â she asks, scanning your face.
You do your best to reset your expression to neutral.
You start without really knowing where the sentence is going, âWeâŚwe can talk about it laterâŚâ
Rory tilts her head, âNot now?â
You shake yours, âNot right now.â
Thatâs enough to appease her curiosity for the rest of the bath, but you know with that one, it wonât last long.
Youâd gotten her dressed and sent her on her way, but your mind stayed heavy the whole time.
You walk downstairs slowly, hands still damp from the bath. As you turn the corner from the stairs you find Jason, reading contentedly by himself in the living room.
You cross the room without hesitation, climbing into the spot next to him on the couch. He doesnât need to look up, only adjusts the position of his arm so its draped over you, pulling you into his side.
âSoâŚâ you start, âRory was asking about your scar..â
He turns away from the book, looking at you with serious eyes. âWhat did she say?â
âShe wants to know how you got it,â you tell him. âI didnât tell her, but she didnât want to ask you either.â
âWhy not?â He asks quickly, face brimming with anxiety.
You shake your head, calming his worries. âShe said she didnât want to make you sad.â
He relaxes a bit at that, taking in the information.
You break the silence after a minute, quietly telling him, âI think it might be time to talk about it.â
He looks dejected, eyes on the floor. âTheyâre still little..â
âIâm not saying tell them everything right now, justâŚacknowledge it.â
âI donâtââ He sighs, âI donât know how Iâm supposed to tell them that.â
You think for a moment, nodding.Â
âTell them how you told me. JustâŚmore kid words.â
He still looks resigned at the idea so you continue, âYou know how to talk to them. Just tell them what you want them to hear. Theyâll listen.â
He nods, eyes low. âOkayâŚâ
You stand up, and he grabs your hand as you rise, pulling himself up too.
You give each other one more confirming look before calling up the stairs, âGirls? Come here.â
Thereâs a ten second delay before a scuttle of footsteps starts down the staircase, arriving with a low-liveliness, nearly bedtime energy amongst them.
The second youâre within sight of them, theyâre keen that somethingâs not right.
âWhatâs going on?âÂ
âIsââ
âEverythingâs alright. Nothingâs wrong,â you tell them. âWe just want to talk to you for a minute.â
Your words donât do much to ease their minds, but after a moment they slowly gather onto a single couch. Theyâre all squished in together and Roryâs half on top of Anna and Laine, the latter of which can barely move. Still, thereâs no complaints to be heard, only an air of seriousness throughout the room.Â
Jason clears his throat, though he has trouble looking at them, the easier option seeming to be the carpeted floor.Â
âAlright,â he starts with a deep breath. âSo my, uh, my Y scarâŚâ
The air in the room drops the second the words are out, the girls all quiet and listening closely. You can tell this is something theyâd been wondering about for a long time.
âWhen I was younger and Iâd just started doing the, uh, special job my brothers and Bruce doâŚâ He takes another breath, âSome things happened that shouldnât have and I got hurt..â
âWhat things?â Ryan asks.
âIâŚI got tricked by a bad guy andâŚI just got hurt.â
Itâs uncharacteristic for the girls to all look so dejected and serious like this. Goes to show that you were rightâthey do have an understanding of what happened.
Anna is the first to pipe up.Â
âDid you die?â
âAnnaââ
âItâs alright,â Jason interrupts. He collects himself before eking out, âUmâŚyeah, I-I did.â
Heâs still stuck on those words and you have to silently push for him to keep talking, so as to not give their imaginations time to run wild.
He takes the hint, stuttering, âBut, um, itâs complicated, but I came back andââ
Laine interrupts this time, almost teary-eyed.
âAre you going to die again?â
Jason shakes his head quickly, âNo. No, honey, not for a long time.â
Itâs quiet for a moment as they process, sorting through the details into something their minds can understand.
Rory looks on edge, wide-eyed, as she asks, âAre you a ghost?â
âNo, sweetheart,â Jason answers calmly with a shake of his head.Â
That seems to calm her anxiety more than anything else.
âAre you better now?â Laine asks.Â
Jason nods, âYeah, Iâm a lot better now.â
Ryan looks skeptical at the choice of words. âHow did youâŚget better?â
He takes a shaky breath, âWellâŚyour mommy helped me a lot. And then you helped me some more. And nowâŚnow Iâm all healed.â
None of them seem to really understand, but they accept the answer anyways.
The next question is from Anna.Â
âIs the bad guy in jail now?âÂ
Jason only momentarily stutters in his response, but pulls it together nicely.Â
âItâs not something you need to be worried about. I promise. Nothing like thatâs going to happen again to me or you or anyone.âÂ
This appears to appease most of the concerns flying around in their heads.Â
He continues, âWe can talk about it more when you get older, butâŚ
You take the queue, nodding Rory and Lainey your way.Â
âLetâs go get ready for bed, okay?â
You nudge the younger two upstairs, who, to your surprise, go without resistance.
You give Jason one last glance before heading up the stairs, happy to see him much more relaxed than he was at the start of this conversation.
Heâs left downstairs with his eldest three girls, each nearly bursting at the seams full of their thoughts and questions.Â
Jason thumps down on the couch between them, a heavy breath following.
The trio watch him quietly for a moment before Anna speaks.  Â
âI know what it is,â she tells him somberly. He looks at her with more melancholia than he wouldâve hoped for.
She continues, âThereâs autopsies on my show sometimes.â
Right, her show. The X-Files.
Jason nods, a bit remiss at the idea that she knows.
From his other side, Ryan pipes up.Â
âDid it hurt?â
He shakes his head, âNo, I-I wasnâtâŚâÂ
Wasnât alive. He doesnât want to say that, though.Â
Ryan nods, understanding anyways. âDid it hurt when you died?â
He hesitates before answering, wavering between lying to protect their minds and telling them the truth. In the end, he decides that youâre right, they can handle it in small measures.Â
âYeah. It did, a little,â he confesses. âBut like I said, thatâs not going to happen again.â
From behind Ryan, Mia speaks so softly Jason almost misses her words.Â
âIâm sorry.â
He looks at her, brow furrowed. âFor what?âÂ
âThat that happened to you,â she says. Her eyes are filled with an equal sadness to his and it breaks his heart. Even more so that her words are so clearly meant sincerely.
âOh.â
Itâs all he can manage to say.
He was only a little older than Mia when his life had been taken away from him and heâd been forced to reset everything he ever knew. And now, all these years later, he sits here surrounded by his children, his world that he was given a second chance to create. His children that donât see a monster when they look at him, donât see the scarred giant that he sees. They just see their dad.Â
When they were still young theyâd started getting almost excited whenever they got a scar from playing too hard because it made them more like him. It took Jason years to just bear the thought of his scars, but his girls look at them like art. Even when they know he got them in bad ways, they pour out nothing but affection. No disgust, no fear, no hate. Just love.
His eyes close and his face falls in his hands, overwhelmed by the idea of his children being such angels, despite being products of him.
âDad? Are you okay?âÂ
He nods, face still covered. His voice is muffled as he says, âYeah. Yeah, sweetheart, I just, umâŚâÂ
His words die off with little fight, and when his hands drop his eyes are red.Â
Anna, whoâs usually compulsed to only touch emotion with a ten-foot pole, is the first to wrap her arms around him, holding him tight. The gesture takes him by surprise, especially from her, and he tenses briefly before deflating like a balloon. Mia and Ryan are quick to follow suit, basically dog-piling over his opposite shoulder.
âItâs okay, dad. We love you. And your scars,â Ryan tells him.Â
Oh, they think heâs sad.
Hell, thirteen years ago he wouldâve thought he was sad. He only started to understand his feelings after his first daughter was born. He doesnât tell them heâs not sad, doesnât tell them that heâs crying because life slapped him around and then gave him everything he could ever want five times over.Â
Instead, he just nods, pulling them impossibly closer.
whoâs your fav daughter
âItâs currentlyââ Jason leans back on the counterâs edge to glance at the clock, ââfive in the morning.â
âWe talked all night?â
The refrigeratorâs light glows in the kitchen, casting its hue on you and Jason. You stay seated stubbornly on the counter. The cool surface biting into the bare skin of your thighs.
âIâm freezing.â You groan.
Jason coos. He moves to stand between your legs. Your head instinctively falls to his shoulders.
âPoor baby.â You can imagine the smug grin on his face. âWeren't you the one who decided not to sleep tonightââ
âButââ
ââto eat, what is this again?â He picks up the Ice-cream carton placed next to you.
âIce-cream. I was craving something sweet.â
âNo wonder you're freezing. Plus, we need to address your sweet tooth.â He laughs.
âI have a weakness for sweet things.â You place a chaste kiss on his cheek. Jason snorts. The corners of his lips curled.
You snatch the carton from his hands. Grabbing the spoon you take another bite. You can feel your mouth freeze as the cold spreads in your mouth.
âOh no, poor babyââ
âShut up, Jay.â
âWant me to warm you up?â
You give him a faux glare.
âHow do you stay warm, anyway? You hog all the blankets, maybe that's why.â
He gasps. âNo, I do not.â
âTake responsibility, Jason Todd. Warm my hands for me.â You reach out your hands in front him, fingers wiggling. The smile on your face reaches your eyes.
With a tender grip, he wraps your hands in his, the warmth of his palms spreading slowly into your cold fingers.
âI spoil you too much.â
âKiss me,â you whispered.
He smiled, a pearl-iridescent grin that lures you in. âYou always order me about.â
âKiss me.â
âNow you want a kiss? Are you sure?â The corners of his smile curled, turning into a teasing smirk. âBecause once I do, I might not be ableââ
Your hands grasped the fabric of his collar and yanked him down.
His lips danced around yours. The taste of him seeped into you akin to honeyed nectar. His hands encircled your waist. Calloused hands fleetingly ghosted over your skin.
âI love kissing you.â You murmured.
âSpoiled.â
âShut up. You love me.â

warnings: readerâs wrist is accidentally sprained from being grabbed to hard
You could hear scuttling from somewhere else in the garden, an estate more than sizable enough than the game afoot.
You were under the distinct impression though that the bats and birds are playing with you similar to how they would a child. Slower, weaker, and less experienced than the big kids. You weren't complaining though. Because, frankly, it was stressful. They tend to operate more like theyâre in a warzone than a game, you felt like you were about to be sniped out at any second.
Rightfully so, apparently, seeing how silently Stephanie had crept up on you.
âHey,â Stephanie hissed, ignoring the way you jumped. âWeâre doing alright for ourselves,â she said smugly.Â
âYeah,â youâd nodded, like you agreed with her more than you probably did.Â
âOkay listen, I think the flagââ what flag? ââis by the fountain so, I think because thereâs three of us and two of them, we should bait-and-switch.â
âWeâre on teams?â you asked, no longer completely sure you know what youâre playing.Â
âWe are now!â she smiled, starting to run. âIâll bait!â
She stopped briefly in her tracks and turned back to you hissing, âDonât trust Cass,â before scurrying away.
Rather than sit around and wait there forâŚsomething?...to happen, you jumped up darting in the opposite direction with little to no indication whether this is a good move.
What you didnât see is Cass rapidly approaching from your rear.Â
What you also didnât see was Dick crouched down in a row of shrubbery, which gave him the perfect opportunity to snatch your arm up and yank you down with him. Youâd mewled a bit as your wrist made contact harshly with the grass, immediately buckling under you.
Cass was keen to your pain immediately, slowing her sprint to a stroll as she observed you.
âAre you okay?â she signs.
âYeah, yeah, Iâm good.âÂ
The response was instinctual and you didnât actually have time to register whether or not you were okay by the time you gave it.Â
You pushed up on your elbows, trying to figure out whether Dick is even on your team, but the way the others approached had you halting consideration. Theyâre savvy to the situation at a speed in which you can only attribute to their vigilantism, looking at you with concern.Â
âYou good?â Tim asked, approaching languidly.
âThat looked like it hurt,â Cass commented, crouching down next to you to see your wrist better.
Dick shook his head, âNo, sheâs okay.â He turned to you, prodding, âYouâre okay.â
âYeah, Iâm, umâŚâ you winced, looking at your wrist. âIt hurts a little.â
Cass examined it closely, tilting it gently to the side. âIt might be sprained.â
Dick paled.Â
âNo.â
Tim pointed a thumb back towards the manor, âWe can get it wrapped upstairs.â
âNo.â
You were only then able to clock the barely contained grin on Stephanieâs face, begging to break. Â
âOoooh. Heâs gonna kill you.â
Cass had then kindly offered to take you inside and wrap it up for you, which you accepted, unexpecting of the plus-one of Dick trailing behind you like a guilty puppy all the while.
âYou know I didnât mean to grab you that hard right? IââÂ
Cass laughs quietly as she wraps the bandage around your wrist, amused by Dickâs now-third explanation/apology for the incident.Â
âI know, Dick,â you say, trying to appease him.Â
âIâm sorry,â he tells you genuinely, but you can tell thereâs more there that he isnât verbalizing.
You nod, âI know, Dick. Itâs okay. It was just an accident.â
Cass pins the wrapping in place securely and with a smile, signs to you that sheâs all done.Â
You rotate your arm a bit, testing your movement under the wrap. As Cass leaves with the first aid kit, Dick remains sat at your side, leg thumping up and down.
He takes a deep breath, âWhat ifâŚwhat if you avoid him until it heals?â
âDick.â
He takes your uninjured hand in his with urgency in his eyes,Â
He looks down at your jointed hands before loosening his already mild grip significantly.
âAre you going to tell him?â he asks, looking like heâs bracing for bad news.
You shake your head sympathetically, âNo. I canât guarantee you that he wonât find out, but I wonât tell him.â
Dick takes a deep breath, looking at the ground with intense focus. âOkay. Okay.â He stands, âI need to go.â
You watch in amused bewilderment as he staggers out the door, looking around frantically.Â
Within the next few minutes, he creates and enacts his plan A. He walks into the living room, sitting down next to a very disinterested Tim, eyes forward and serious.
âIâll give you two grand right now if you tell him it was you.â
Tim barks out, âAbsolutely not.â He looks at his brother, still laughing. âNo fucking way.â
Dick breaks the serious facade immediately, looking at him. âFive.â
A deadpan from Tim.Â
âYou donât have five thousand dollars.â
Dick throws his head back, back thudding against the couch. âDude, please! Heâll kill me!â
Tim scoffs, âHeâd kill me!â
Dick huffs, âNo, itâs different for me! Do you have any idea how many times he told me not to do that?âÂ
âWell then it sounds like you fucked up,â Tim sneers.
âOh my God.â
He takes off again, combing through different rooms in the house with hope of finding a quick but effective hiding place for, say, the next twenty years?
He bursts through the study, unwittingly interrupting Bruce and Alfred having a discussion over tea.
The latter sits up with a tense brow, âMaster Dick?â
The former turns around in his seat, âWhatâs the matter?â
Dick struggles for a second before confessing, âI accidentally sprained someone's wrist.âÂ
Bruce scans his face slowly, nodding. âAlrightâŚyouâll have to take responsibility for their patrol dutiesââ
Dick cuts him off with a sharp breath, âSaid person doesnât have any patrol duties to be affected...â
Bruce processes for a moment before shaking his head.
âI canât help you.â
Dickâs panic takes over again, prompting him to continue his scurry through the room, towards the other door.
Alfred interrupts his process with a very logical argument, âYou donât think running away will make this worse, Master Dick?â
âIâI donât know!â Dick whines, stopping in his tracks. âI donât know what to do!â
Bruce purses his lips, gesturing, âDick, when you make a mistakeâŚyou have to submit to the consequences, you know that.â
Dick gapes, âThis is not a normal consequence!â
Meanwhile, youâve busied yourself with fiddling with the knick knacks and mementos lining the shelves of Jasonâs childhood bedroom.Â
Youâre admiring a picture of him and Alfred from when he was young as the door creaks open behind you.Â
âSweetheart?â Your boyfriend calls out, head barely poked in through the crack.
âHey, Jay,â you smile, setting the picture frame back on the shelf.
He enters fully, covered in motor oil and grease, and smiles his sweet, easy smile when he sees you.Â
Moving onto the next trinket on the shelf, you pick up a stuffed animal placed intentionally at the front. Your gaze finds the mirror, watching his reflection as he pulls the stained shirt off his back.Â
You smile to yourself, noticing the way his back muscles flex as he adjusts. âHowâs the bike?â
âBetter than it was this morning,â he sighs. âWhereâve you been?â
He turns around to look at you, taking easy steps towards you.Â
You return the toy elephant to its place, moving to face him. âUh, we were outside, playingâŚat least three separate games at once.â
The second youâre in proximity, your hands join like itâs second nature.Â
He nods, all too familiar with the familyâs unique methods of gamefair.
âDid thââ He looks down at your intertwined hands, brow furrowing as soon as he spots the bandage wrapped around your wrist. âWhat happened?â
You glance down, shrugging. âOverexerted myself playing tag.â
He looks at you skeptically, but says nothing about it.
He turns your hand over gently, asking, âIs it sprained?â
You nod, relaxed. âYeah. Cass said itâs mild.â
âDoes it still hurt?â
âNo,â you say, sweeping his hair back with your other hand. âBarely hurt then.â
He nods, but he doesnât look satisfied with the conversation.
Regardless, he turns away again, shuffling through a drawer for a clean shirt.Â
âYou, uh, you wanna stay for dinner tonight?â he asks, pulling his arms through, his head following.Â
âYeah,â you say gaily. âAlfred said heâs making his âspecial spaghettiâ, apparently itâs a household favorite?â
He wavers, halfway to between decisions. âYeahâŚâ
He huffs quietly, turning back to face you fully. âCan I see it?â
You nod, happy to ease his mind.Â
You start to unwrap the bandaging, him doing half the work for you. The work is done silently until your wrist is exposed, revealing your bruised skin.
You both see it at the same timeâthe hand-shaped bruise wrapped around your wrist.
Youâre both quiet for a secondâhim putting pieces together and you waiting for the shoe to drop.
He takes off suddenly, clearly having come to a likely very accurate conclusion about what had happened.
âFucking idiotââ
You try for his hand but heâs out of reach before you can grab it.
âIâll be right back,â he grumbles behind him.
âJasonââ you sigh, âAt least help me wrap it back up first.â
He hesitates, halfway to the door, ultimately returning to you in defeat. He takes your forearm gently, scanning it over again before beginning to wrap it.
You watch his face closely, noting the clear vexation. âIt was just an accident,â you tell him.Â
He scoffs, âIt better have been.â
You drop your shoulders and lull your head to the side. âJason. Iâm not made of glass, you canât expect other people to act like it.â
âI donât. I expect him to mind his own strength, and if he canât do that, he needs to keep his fucking hands to himself.â
You sigh, âJust donât do anything harsh. Please. I think heâs worried youâre gonna punch him.â
âHe should be,â he says shortly. He finishes off the wrapping, pinning it in place firmly.Â
You grab onto his forearm before he can pull away, âYouâre not going to. Right?â
He doesnât answer so you try to make his gaze meet yours, âRight?â
His eyes roll, âYeah, fine.â
You smile, holding his face. âI love you.â
He huffs as though heâs inconvenienced, but confesses the obvious truth nonetheless. âI love you.â
He looks you in the eye, face serious. âYou promise me it doesnât hurt?â
âI promise,â you nod, brushing your fingers against his palm.
âDick!â
The angry voice bellows through the tall halls of the manor, heavy footsteps thudding.
He stomps into the living room, Tim, Cass, and Stephanie watching the entryway with wide eyes.Â
âWhere is he?â
Unwitting shoulders shrug and heads shake. Truthfully, at that. Dick, smartly, did not tell anyone where he was hiding.Â
Jason scans the trios faces, looking for any sign of apprehension.
He clocks the grin shamelessly plastered across his sister's face quickly. âStephanie?â
âI donât know,â she says honestly. âBut let me know when you find him, I wanna seeââ
But Jasonâs moving onto the next room before she can get the last words out.
He enters the dining room, looking right to left before finding his target, halfway to stuffing himself behind the fine china cabinet in the corner.
Thereâs a brief, tense moment in between where the pair realize what theyâre seeing and when Dick sets off in a sprint towards the kitchen, Jason quick on his tail.Â
âReally? Really?â Jason shouts.Â
âIt was an accident! It was a fuckingââÂ
He narrowly dodges a swipe from Jason, then ducking before a ladle could make contact with his head.
âAre you stupid? Are you the dumbest motherfââ
Dick rounds the kitchen island as fast as possible, Jason testing him on the other side.
Dick takes a breath, âDude, itâs fine now, itâs not that big of aââ
Jason recoils, ââItâs not a big dealâ? Come here. Let me sprain your wrist, asshole!â
He circles the counter quicker than the elder boy can think to move away and lunges at him.Â
Dick throws his hands up in front of him, âWait, wait, wait! Truce! Truce! Truce?â
Jason drops his shoulders, leveling his older brother with a look. âYou canât call a truce if youâre the only one who did anything wrong.â
âIâŚâ It doesnât take him long to piece together that his defense makes no sense, so he resorts to his last option.Â
âPlease?â Dick asks, nothing short of imploring.Â
Jason relentsâslightlyâupon hearing his brother's tone, but still finds it in him to shove him, though not nearly as hard as heâd been planning to.Â
âI told you a hundred fucking times not to grab her so hardââÂ
Dick nods heavily, waving a hand. âI know, I knowââ
âClearly you fucking donât!â Jason shouts. He huffs, running a hand over his face. âYou sprained her wrist. Youâve been doing this vigilante shit for fifteen years, how do you still not fucking know how to control your own strength?â
Dick grimaces, âI do! I do, I just screwed up, Iâm sorry!â
âDonâtââ Jason narrowly holds back a scowl, âDid you apologize to her?â
 âYeah, of course I did!â
For a split second, Jason looks ready to keep arguing before purposefully dropping the anger from his body.Â
The resulting relief almost drowns Dick.
It only lasts a moment though, before Jason looks at him again, sneering, âIdiot,â before pushing him once more.Â
âJason.â
Your voice has Jason dropping all turbulence in an instant. He and Dick both whip their heads towards the door, equally unexpecting of the interruption.Â
You tilt your head at your boyfriend with a knowing but disappointed stare.
He looks back at you like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar, lips parted.
âI didnât hit him.â
