Here is my monthly upload of drawing, going back to Joel because he is my comfort youtuber rn.

There's a couple winged Joel's here which loosely tie into a story I am working on so it's given me motivation to draw and write. Oh, I also write very rarely and post too on my Ao3 account which is under Sleepy_R_N, very similarly to this Tumblr one.

Currently I have only uploaded 3 works, 2 of which were from a couple years ago so don't look at them too closely.

It's probably been another month since last post, so I'm right on time!

I have become insanely hyperfixated on Minecraft and that hyperixation has led me to the man in the drawing, Mr Joel Smallishbeans.

Getting to the actually drawing, this is my first drawing of the design of Joel for Hermitcraft season 10! I did a doodle of him in his outfit and one of his outfit I designed. I might end up putting more drawing of my outfit/costume design because I quite enjoy doing that!

(and if u see resemblance to @mellozheist 's Joel design, that is because I copied the hair and the idea of him being a Tanuki hybrid from them. If they don't like it I'll take this post down and make him bald. 👍)

What the fuck is up with the rain on hermitcraft. Like, it doesn't USUALLY rain frequently right??? Except now even jevin and beef commented on the rain, complaining that it rains every day??!!

Scratch that, it's not just the rain:

it's Doc flooding joes base while quoting the Bible, Gem's whole town that literally has people cannonicly going insane from the water & a scientist that researches it, Mumbo building a lab to research what's wrong with the water, Grian's whole Mending book lore, False building rivers and saying there's something going on with the water, big salmon,...

I smell lore

Why. Why are all the hermits falling for iskalls appartement scam??? Like. What the fuck. I KNOW THEY R JUST PLAYING ALONG BUT???

The way iskall gives them this HORRIBLE deal, and then. He just adds on completely irrelevant "benefits" (like a balcony) until they just say yes to get him to go away. He just starts with such an outrageous deal, that even when he adds more and more to it its still practically the same as during the beginning. What the fuck. I love him.

Doc getting psychologically tortured on hermitcraft was not on my 2024 bingo card, but god is it funny

Hermitcraft season 10 is hermitcraft season 10 bc the lore is 10 times more insane than the other seasons were

Permit office headquarters sending slightly threatening letters to Grian gives the same vibe as Big Salmon sending very threatening letters to Beef

Especially since the entire server seems to fear the permitoffice even more than they fear the mafia... (which isn't much but still)

And I think that says a lot about capitalism

Adding more onto this:

Grian and scar didn't realize doc was ACTUALLY afraid of cats at first, they just left some in his base as a joke/threat. (similarly to the whole buttercup thing)

Once they realized he was unironically terrified of them, they stopped doing it, except for scar occasionally bringing jellie along for negotiations, as an "intimidation tactic"

Whenever Doc threatens them, Scar just holds out jellie as a warning. It usually works kwhekwhe

Secondly, here's some of my head cannons which i will probably turn into a comic once i get the chance:

-scar and grian used jellie during season 9 when they destroyed docs tunnel bore. Doc was yelling at them and then scar just held out jelly towards him and doc was like *scared creeper noises* "...ok fine u can go BUT I WILL DESTROY UR ENTIRE BLOODLINE LATER-"

-the theme park jellie ears scar left doc as a gift during s9 after breaking the tunnel bore? Those weren't a gift, they were a threat

-one of the reasons doc asked ren for help is bc Grian Scar and Mumbo kept leaving cats in his base and docs thought process was "cats scare creeper, dogs scare cats -> time to ask the local furry for help"

-Ren scares away any and all cats that come close to doc by aggressively barking at them

-cleo added cats to her cafe(/bookstore) in s10, bc she knew doc wouldn't be able to retaliate after she stole her villagers if she had enough cats to scare him

-bdubs considered putting doc in a catjail as a punishment instead of airjail, but he realized last minute that that was just a wee bit too cruel

(also, Im quite busy w/ other art projects rn, so it might take a while till i post this, incase anyone wants to be tagged once its done just let me know!)

My personal fav headcanon for c!joe is that hes just some Ghost that ended up on the hermitcraft server and ended up possessing a villager corpse to interact w/ the others.

Eventually he got sick of possessing new corpses every season, and with cleos help he got a new body: a Muppet

I hope you like it :D i actually started the sketch for this during the hermitaday challenge, but didn't rly have time to keep working on it during the challenge. As soon as i saw this request i knew i HAD to finally finish it :D

I decided to do a more painting like style for this, but for some fucking reason i also thought it would be a good idea not to use any blending tools or opacity stuff (excluding some final touches) and just... Do flat shading... While trying to pick everything from the colorwheel w/o like, mixing colors....

Did this exercise make me improve at using the digital color wheel? Yeah probably. But also this took wayyy too fucking long and i am never doing it this way again LMFAO

Slightly edited this cause i noticed a lil mistake (one of the frames was longer than it should be)

Does this change anything big or noticeable about the animation? ...yesss? Uh. Definitely. Mhm. I'm not just being a perfectionist for absolutely no reason. Yep! /s/j

[Day 31]: Rendog!

Decided to make a lil animation of our favorite Gigacorp employee for today's hermitaday :D He's exploring the recently discovered planet he build his base on.

Oh! What's that??? Looks like he got spooked by something... It was probably just the wind or something, right? I'm sure its fine... :)

Goodness gracious, i can't believe hermitaday 2024 is over??? THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE COMPLETED AN ART CHALLANGE LIKE THIS LMFAO-

Everyone say thank you to my adhd meds!!! Are they working properly??? Nope. Not at all. But they r making me hyperfixate on things 24/7, mainly art, which is probably the only reason i completed this LMFAO (my grades on the other hand... Are suffering... Oop-)

Hermithouse update!

Aka the miniature wooden house I'm making for school / an art gallery, that I'm trying to add as many hermitcraft references to as possible!

Fun fact, the second floor is removable :3

Look at the lil bridge and spikey rocks i made for the outside area :D and all it took to make them was a small blood sacrifce! (<-this isn't a joke btw, i ended up getting hurt while using an electric saw... DW IT'S FINE ITS JUST A SMALL CUT LMFAO!!!)

The house is built on a river next to a forrest, but since i left that part in school over the weekend, i can't show yall my progress on it ;^;
