Genshin Characters LGBTQIA+ Headcanons!

Part 1 ~ Anemo Characters

Jean

Okay, so hear me out:

Demisexual

Biromantic

She isn’t looking for love, but if someone gets close enough to her, feelings may develop. I also think she’s cisgender, she does seem quite comfortable with her masculinity tho

Kazuha

This man is not a straight man.

Panromantic

Asexual

Polyamorous

He seems like the kinda guy who could romance anyone, but not the kinda guy to go any further with something. He’s content with some simple kisses and charming dates, regardless of his partner(s) gender(s).

Sayu

Okay, I know she’s not a kid but I’d feel uncomfortable saying anything. Moving on.

Sucrose

I love Sucrose! Built as a main once. But that’s not the point.

Homosexual

She’s a lesbian. I originally thought of making her aroace, but then I thought, hmmmm, sorta? My thoughts are that she’s actually homoromantic and asexual, but intensely sex-positive. Remember, her field of study is the modification of life, so I think she’d like sex from a scientific perspective. Other than that, totally a lesbian.

Venti

I wonder if he’s really necessary? But he’s my kinnie so I must.

Gay

Gay

Nonbinary

That last one kinda slipped in there, whoops. So we know he’s gay, like, yeah. But I personally think he’s also nonbinary and uses He/They pronouns. We should remember that this guy was literally a wind spirit, and the only reason for his body’s appearance is because of his best friend. So he’s actually comfortable with all pronouns, but prefers he/they.

Xiao

Edgy McEdgeman

Panromantic

Asexual

He just wants love. Nothing too intimate, just pure and simple tender love and care.

Alrighty-o that’s Anemo folks done!

Confessions Of Memories. | ‱ 4.

Mine never wanted me.

My father is something of a dead myth, and my mother was a criminal.

A perfect upbringing for me really.

Li Jing looked to the unfinished diary entry, the words burning through her pupils. Her eyes constricted, as she cradled herself, shoving it away with her foot. She scrunched her raven strands in her fist, as she chewed on her lip.

XXXX

My dream got eaten last night..

But I'm recovering.

"Xiao wasn't responsible, was he?" She sighed, to no-one in particular.

That was the truth. The secret that she so desperately needed to tell him. To at least chip away at his guilt- even slightly - wasn't possible. He would never know, because she would never tell him.

XXXX

I don't want to stay with her.

The page lay unfinished.

The next week after the entry, Li Jing was alone.

Loneliness plagued her life without hesitance. She dragged herself through a path that only led to more loss. Yet if she stopped, she would betray her mother. Being loyal to her mother was the only thing she needed.

She wished.

Li Jing shuffled to the door, quiet as she looked to the dawn that was illuminating him. Xiao was perched there, like his usual self. His breaths paced, body stiffly stuck in one place. She sat beside him, watching the sun glide over the debris of the moon.

"You really need to relax sometimes." She glanced at him.

"Hmph. And where's the time for that? Liyue isn't a place for rest."

"Then where is?"

Xiao hummed, looking to her arms. Her arms, were probably warm. But they had also probably forgotten him.

"Well what about you then?"

"History doesn't rest, so I can't either."

"Promise me you'll rest." His eyes clicked with her own, his tone soft.

"I'll keep the promise if you rest as well."

"Fine."

He leaned forward. He hesitated. With her eyes screwed shut, a soft warmth was pressed to her head, his sleeve dragging across the wood as he retracted. Li Jing's cheeks flushed, as her heart was pierced with ache once more.

"What are you guys doing?" The Traveller looked up to them, sleepy and worn with leftover fatigue. Xiao arched his brow, gracefully landing infront of the Traveller. Li Jing took the stairs down.

She linked arms with the Traveller, leading them away from him.

"The book you picked wasn't easy."

"Why?"

"The memories of the author are dead. None of their memories were clear."

"Then what are you going to do?"

"I'll need to meet this village's historian."

She brushed her hair rapidly, taking her two hairpins out of her side pocket.

"Who gave you those hairpins?"

"These? Oh."

"One is from Xiao."

Her face flushed red with fever. Days were blurring together as she looked to the outside, which had a quiet pond. The only thing keeping the days apart was Xiao.

His eyebrows were furrowed. Xiao leaned closer, his lips pressing a soft kiss to her head. Her eyes were heavy with fatigue, the cold cloth on her head slightly aiding her.

"Get well soon, please." He murmured, placing a hairpin in her hand.

She held his hand, a soft smile glazing her face.

"The other is from my best friend."

The summer sun was set on the water, as they padded through the sand, their arms gritty with wet sand. She paused, dirting her dress as she searched for an item.

"Mei your dress!"

" My mom doesn't care. Here! I got us matching hairpins! "

"What'd she look like?"

"I can't remember."

-

"I remember you! You must be the village historian?" Li Jing quipped.

"Yes, it's an honour to meet someone who has been documenting for centuries."

Her chest creaked with unease. She looked at his dark eyes, chuckling lightly.

"You knew the author?"

"Quite well actually. She passed on just a decade ago."

"I hoped she lived well."

"She did, being the great- granddaughter of Honghui. "

"Honghui?"

"I'm going to marry Hui! "

"You're only ten!"

Mei huffed, crossing her arms.

"True love doesn't wait, does it?"

"I can't believe she's dead. She was only 18!"

"Honghui is so distraught, he won't even leave his study."

"Yeah, he's an old name now. His tale is quite sad- moving on, you needed information for the book?"

"Yes, thank you."

"Make yourself at home."

"I'll be leaving in fifteen minutes, it's really not necessary."

She shuffled, tucking her sleeves to her side. The man glanced at her, his eyes lingering on her. Li Jing let her eyes fall to the table.

"No need to rush."

Confessions Of Memories. | ‱ 3.

Li Jing wished she hadn't taken the route.

She feared for him.

Of course he had lived hundreds of centuries that had built his immunity to wounds, there was nothing wrong with being cautious.

"We'll get to rest soon." She said subconsciously to the two.

Xiao nodded, whilst the Traveller was silent. Who is Mei? They looked to Li Jing, who beamed at them. They looked to the path again.

Li Jing was greeted by a little girl as they finally got to the circular village. The girl tugged on her sleeve.

"Are you staying over again? Everyone missed you. You barely visit after last year's Spring!"

Li Jing chuckled lightly. Her face fell flat, as she beckoned for the two to follow her. The path curved into a lively place, one of yellow hues and humble faces. As they settled in, she couldn't make contact with him.

He remembered; she could feel it in her swollen soul.

"So why did they need you right now? Couldn't they have asked someone else?" He murmured.

Li Jing looked at him for a moment before bursting out with laughter.

"I didn't know you whined." She pinched his cheek, prompting him to scoff.

He buried his head in the nape of her neck, his hands firmly around her waist. She hummed, filling in the last of her scroll. His affection was a plea for her attention. The ink finally finishing. They walked through the back of the village, leaving them to the stars.

His head laid in her lap, she stroked his hair. The moon smiled at the two, willing them to be together.

Except they weren't. The sunset stuck in the sky, unwilling to move for them. She dropped her things in her room, kicking it in so the door could close. The dust stuttered in the air as the door settled in place, leaving the three of them in the open area.

The birds chirped, the crows squawked.

"Make yourselves at home- for now."

"Going somewhere?" Xiao asked gently.

"Mhm. I won't take long."

She didn't have to walk far to find the rounded mound of grass and mold, littered with broken white roses and unfailing snow. Sunrays lulled on the grass, quietly expecting Li Jing.

She kneeled beside the mound, her hands curled up into delicate fists. The snow dampened her dress, as she scraped at the snow to mold a heart. She placed it ontop, and stood.

"I wish I could remember your face."

The path she walked back was one that left her empty, and senseless. She stepped back into the room, unravelling her hair. She placed her hairpins on her table. Li Jing stretched out the scroll, placing a weight on either end.

She loaded the ink.

There was a faint growl, one of pain. She paused, hearing the scraping of wood. Li Jing approached his room, his hoarse breathes filling the room.

A smooth wave of paralysis unclosed around her, hand outreached.

She hummed, like she would always do. She would just have to improvise for the harp that wasn't being played. Her throat grew brittle, as she stood from a distance, waiting for him to show any signs of relaxing.

His shoulders drooped.

A heavy silence filled the room, as they failed to make eye contact.

"I'll leave you alone. Call me if you need anything."

-

He poured hot water on the herbs, carrying it to her study. His hand hovered over the handle. Either way, he would still find her in her study, her hair like a black curtain over the book. He placed it beside her.

"Oh, thank you."

"How is the book coming?"

"Finding the memories that fit with this book isn't as easy as I thought."

"Maybe you need a break then."

She smiled to herself, closing the book as he sat opposite of her. She glanced into the glass, the hued water letting the petals fall to the bottom.

"...Sorry. I'm sorry for saying that. " She murmured.

Xiao crumpled his face, and turned to the side. What was he to say? I don't have feelings anyway. I don't deserve them.

"You don't need to apologise for that."

Her face grew faint, as she took a sip. As her tongue burned, she realized just how much she want to tell him. She wanted to tell him the truth.

-

Borrowing town memories was easy. Yet, as she sat in the place where the author once was, she could not remember. In fact, she was beginning to forget. Her eyes dulled, waiting for midnight to strike.

"It must be difficult being a historian. You constantly ignore your life to record others."

Li Jing looked at the Traveller. She smiled gracefully, fixing her posture.

"You could look at it like that. I like to look at it like an escape."

The Traveller sat beside them, resting their hands in their lap.

"I wanted to ask,"

"Who's Mei?"

"I'm not ready to answer that." She faltered, fiddling with her fingers.

"Is that why did you become a historian?"

"That wasn't because of her. I'm just naturally indebted to Liyue."

"Naturally." They thought to themselves.

"You're lucky to have a fate of your own." She chuckled.

The Traveller quipped a brow, to find Li Jing's gaze averted to the sky.

You're lucky,

To have parents who wanted you.

Confessions Of Memories. |‱ 2.

The night had drooled over the residue of day, leaving them to head there themselves. Xiao paced ahead, leaving the Traveller and Li Jing in his dust. A dull ache rested in her chest from seeing only the back of him.

The flowers bloomed before them, as she gently clutched his hand. He stood stifly next to her, as she scanned the garden for a specific flower. Her hand slipped out of his own, as she sat amongst them. Her hands fumbled with the flower stems, until she reappeared.

"Kneel."

He didn't need to hesitate. Buckled down to one knee and she rested the flower crown on his head. The white petals frittered amongst his dark hair. She kneeled down to his level, smiling at him. He intertwined their hands, leaning in.

Yet it wasn't summer.

It was the cold of night, and her shoulder was throbbing with the pain of a bag weighed with books and scrolls alike.

Her lips twinged with yearning. Her eyes fell to ground, the small hope she once held diminished with a simple memory that lay in their restless wake.

"How'd you know Xiao?"

She looked over to the curious Traveller, burdened with their own weight. She squeezed a smile on her face, looking at the back of Xiao's head. Li Jing exhaled.

"We've known each other for a while."

The Traveller nodded their head sympathetically.

Xiao looked to the ground, his jaw tensed.

He wanted to stay. Anything to erase the lonely century he had spent. There was something that made her immovable in his memory. The seasons could blur, but he could remember her. How her face curved, how her gums would show when he tried to be humorous.

Only to lose her.

Wangshu Inn stood bright in the fog, as they hurried in.

They dispersed to their rooms, leaving the soft patter of rain to calm the souls that rested inside.

Her head sunk into the pillow, leaving her to sit vacantly.

A small wheezing came from his lungs, resting in her arms. His mellow smile faded with the words she couldn't hear. The suns in his eyes set, as the snow fell on his sorrowful sight.

Another body lay on their stomach, their death quiet. Her hair brown and dampened by the snow. A hand rested on her shoulder, patting her with a lack of affection. She looked to her blank face, her arms muddy with red.

Her m-

She gasped awake, clutched her bedsheets as her skin shedded thick bullets of sweat. Her heart throbbed, jolting her ribs.

Is this the curse of being immortal?

To ache?

She gingerly placed her feet down on the carpet, throwing on a robe. She creaked across the hallway, exhaling as she got to the balcony.

The small click of metal startled her.

His eyes clicked with his own. Xiao's eyebrows furrowed. He looked away. Xiao looked out to the town below, the rain twinkled like stars. If she left now, it would only emphasize the damage. If she stayed, she'd have to endure the silence she had placed there.

"Did you cry?" He pondered.

She glanced at him.

"Your eyes - they're puffy."

She hummed softly, barely audible.

"I just had a nightmare, that's all."

They stood quietly, their hands brushing against each others.

He tried. He really did. But, her eyes held a heartbreak that was unfixable. His body was full of ache. He ached before he met her. He used to be the love of her life. It was clear he didn't deserve to be. Thousands of deaths that clinged to him was dragging him with them.

Is this retribution?

"Jiji, you should get some rest."

He looked over to her limp state. He sighed, scooping her up in his arms. He sat by her side, unravelling her bun. Her hair sprawled around the bed, wisps covering her face. The cold air seeped into his lungs, and he couldn't help but sleep.

-

Dawn came and the only evidence of him being there was his soft, mild scent. She stayed there quietly, inhaling her pillow. She separated herself from her bed, and eventually sat with the two. The Traveller tried to read her inscribed scrolls, their face pruning with wrinkles. She chuckled nervously, tapping her cheek.

"It's illegible, isn't it?"

The Traveller quickly dismissed her words, excuses being mounted into a mess. Xiao sighed, drawing them back to silence. His eyes were averted, looking over her sprawled scrolls.

"The book has been around for a long time, and should've probably be burnt by fire." Li Jing pondered, squeezing her notes into a small handheld notebook.

"So the book is protected?"

She nodded, avoiding looking up.

"Luckily I had a lead before we left. An old lady I know has links to a man who has the family archive of these books."

"Is that the Mei you were referring to?"

Li Jing was quiet, the restless noise of other customers filling the void. Her pen harshly drilled through the crisp page.

How could she respond? If she told them now, they wouldn't be able to get the letters, and she'd be a failure and looked down on with disdain. If anyone found out about her she'd be a disappointment to her mother.

She didn't want to disappoint her mother.

"Jiji?"

Her mother trusted her.

"Li Jing."

She trusted her.

Oh, she couldn't. If anyone found out she was cu-

"Li Jing!" Xiao snapped.

She looked at him, quiet with embarrassment. The table sat uncomfortably between them, until she chuckled lightly.

"Sorry, I live in my head too much- anyways, the shortcut will save us some time. We don't have to walk too far at all." She dismissed herself from the table.

The Traveller looked to Xiao, their eyes bleeding with confusion. Xiao looked at him, exhaling softly.

"Mei...That name is important to her. I'd advise you to stop saying it so much."

The Traveller nodded to themself, flustered with the oblivious mistake.

Mei,

Is she dead?

The urge to draw Dream in a xiao cosplay rn be like: 📈📈📈

Also unrelated to that, I had an idea in the form of THIS:

The Urge To Draw Dream In A Xiao Cosplay Rn Be Like: 📈📈📈

Still working on the other characters lol

Also please don't attack me for simply wanted to make crossover headcanons. I know there are people out there that either differ in opinions or simply don't like the idea of two different fandoms (especially the toxic sides) to merge. However, I'm simply doing this leisurely, if it upsets you, just move on or something.

Children of the Casino

Children Of The Casino

Mr. Zhongli’s children, Hutao and Xiao. Respectable young people, however it is noted that Hutao is the more outgoing of the two
in fact Xiao is often following her around like a shadow
no one knows who their mother is and they look so different many speculate that they are merely half siblings. Hutao is most known for helping her father run the funeral parlor. ————————— Hutao
I met her once at a meeting where I met her father. She was a very stern faced girl then, but reports return to me of her true nature. A chaotic and eerie young lady, who runs a funeral parlor to help her father get rid of any
loose ends. Her brother is a complete opposite they say, cold and calculating. Most days he simply follows his sister around and is the more vicious of the two. He is his sisters shadow, the two almost never apart. Makes me wonder how we are to execute the plan to capture and use them as ransom against Zhongli

Such A Cockslut♡

Xiao was such a cute little thing. The way he peered up at you with his eyes, the way his eyes lit up when he saw the almond tofu you had, the way he pouted when you didn't give him enough attention, the heavy blush on his face when you whispered dirty words in his ear, he was just too adorable!

You and Xiao were taking your relationship pretty slowly. When you had first confessed to Xiao, he had literally stopped functioning, his whole body freezing up. Cute. You've been together for a few months, and you had been getting closer with Xiao. Your relationship in bed wasn't too crazy. You would give Xiao teasing hand and blowjobs, watching his cute reactions and high-pitched whines. You started off slowly so as to not overwhelm Xiao, but lately, you've been getting pent up and wanting more...

You had finally found that perfect opportunity. While the two of you were watching a movie(a cheesy romance if you must know), Xiao resting his head on your shoulder. You were both wearing quite comfy clothes. You had on a warm, red sweater and a pair of gray sweatpants. Xiao was wearing your sweater(that was too big for him<3) and some form fitting shorts that had you looking away in embarrassment when Xiao first appeared with them on. Poor Xiao didn't understand how tempting he looked. Halfway through the movie, you decided to rile your boyfriend up a bit <3

"Xiao~~" you whispered into his ear. He shivered a bit, face becoming red but still paying attention to the movie in front of him. You obviously weren't going to give up right there.

"C'mon Xiao, let's talk a bit," you said, this time rubbing the bare inside of his thigh. He started quivering even more, his eyes darting back and forth from the movie to you. You could see a small bulge forming in the adepti's shorts. With a smirk, you decided to increase the intensity of your touches. You moved your hand from Xiao's thighs, to underneath his sweater, caressing his nipples.

"M-mhn! Y-y/n..."

There was the reaction you were looking for.

Xiao's eyes were half-lidded, a pink blush spreading across his face, reaching the tip of his ears. Biting his lip to stop moans coming from out of his mouth, he grabbed your arm as if an attempt to stop you. "Please...hahh, uhn...I'm sensitive there-Ah!"

Xiao clawed weakly at your arm as you continued touching him. He was just so cute when he was like this. His whines filled up the room, the movie long forgotten. "Y/n! Ahnn...f-feels so goOD! Hahh! Ah!" Xiao's moans began increasing in volume and pitch. He could start to feel an oncoming orgasm building up from within him.

Before he could warn you properly, Xiao felt his cock release his cum, staining the shorts. "Hahhn! Oh, ohh! Mnghhhh♡~" tongue lolled out, Xiao came, twitching all over.

Xiao slumped against your shoulders, panting. "Come on Xiao," you said with a grin. "We're not done yet~" You picked him up in your arms, carrying him to your bedroom as he clung to you. When you entered your room, you laid Xiao down on your bed. While he laid there, you grabbed a box under your bed and removed certain items from there. By the time you were done, the bi-color haired male was sitting up, looking at you puzzled. "...Y/n, what is that in your hands?"

"Just some lube...and some condoms~" You said with a sing-songy voice. "W-wait, condoms?!" Xiao's face flushed, getting excited at the thought of penetration. You got closer to him, holding his face in your hands gently. Your demeanor had completely changed. "I want you to tell me Xiao; are you okay with this? I don't want to overwhelm you," you said with a concerned look in your eyes.

"It's okay Y/n. Actually, I've played with myself...using my ass before..." Xiao reassured you, getting embarrassed by the end of his sentence. "Thank goodness," you said with a sigh. "Now," you stood upright, your previous demeanor back. "I didn't know that my precious Xiao would be this secretive. You like to play with your own hole? You're such a filthy Adeptus aren't you," you said with a sneer, holding his chin.

Xiao whined at your harsh words. As much as he loved when you praised him for being such a good boy, he always felt pleasure from you calling him harsh words. "S-sorry, I'm sorry Y/n! I'll do better! I-I'll make it up for you!" Xiao cried, holding on to your arm. You jerked yourself away from him with a look of disgust.

"How 'bout you turn around for me, pretty boy. Ass up."

Xiao complied, scrambling into position on the bed. God, his ass looked so good from inside of those shorts. Xiao looked back at you expectantly. "Face forward," you ordered. Xiao quickly turned his head away, anticipating what would happen next.

You pick up the lube you had put down earlier and set it on the bed. You wouldn't need the condoms for now. You pulled down the Adepti's shorts down quickly, making him jolt in surprise and turning back to face you.

You pinched Xiao's ass, making him make a choked noise of surprise. "Didn't I tell you to face forward?" Xiao faced forward, his face completely red knowing that his ass was completely exposed to your judging eyes.

Finally, he felt your finger prodding his hole. Xiao tensed up from the feeling up the cold lube, earning him a gentle slap. "This isn't going to be very fun for the both of us is you don't loosen up, Xiao," you warned. Xiao relaxed a bit, making it easier to slide you finger in.

He felt so warm inside, and you could feel him sucking you in already. "Hmm...Y/n...hahhh, ngh," Xiao panted. "Woww," you whistled. "You're really sucking me in aren't you? Guess I'll add in another one."

You added in a second finger, this time stroking Xiao's insides much quicker. "Ahh! Hah, ohmm, w-wait!" Xiao cried out, gripping the sheets. It was then that you finally found the spot you were looking for.

You pressed hard against a certain part inside of him, and Xiao's back arched, and orgasm hitting him. "Oh-oughh! Ahn, hah, Uhnn♡~" Xiao's eyes rolled back as his orgasm hit him, staining the bedsheets. "Well that was unexpected. Didn't think you would be able to cum just from assplay alone. What have you been doing in your free time," you giggled, fingers still inside of him. Xiao didn't reply, too busy trying to catch his breath.

You couldn't take it anymore. Almost the whole entire time you two had been in the bedroom, you had been hard. Now your dick was aching and it was probably going to fall off at this point. You finally pulled your dick out, stroking it. Xiao stared at it in wonder. No matter how many times he saw it, he was always so mesmerized by how huge your cock was, compared to his. You heard a whimper coming from the Adeptus, his eyes widening.

"Xiao~~" you purred. "I hope you're ready~" You inserted your self into him, slowly, inch by inch, Xiao making punched out noises in the back of his throat. By the time you fully bottomed out, he let out a long moan. You could feel him clenching tightly around you, trembling. You looked at him and realized.

He just came. He just fucking came.

"Xiao," you said, a look of disbelief on your face. "You came again? Just from me being inside of you? How much of a cockslut are you Xiao?" All you heard were faint whimpers. "Y-you're just...so, big...♡" you heard from him. He wasn't wrong though. He could feel your dick in every single part of him. Xiao looked down and saw a bulge in his stomach. "Mmmhn...Y/n, you're so big...there's a bulge in my tummy♡" Xiao turned towards you, a dopey smile on him face, hearts in his eyes. You completely snapped.

You flipped him around, making him lay on his back. In his daze and confusion, you pushed his knees up to his head and began pounding into him. Xiao's golden eyes rolled back, his tongue lolling out. "Ohng! Ah, hyah ANHHHG! Ugyah~♡M-More-- Ghk, Hyangh♡!" Xiao's came again as his pornstar worthy moans and the sound of skin slapping filled the room. "Hahh, y-you whore! Getting off to being used like this. You're a pig aren't you? A filthy pig! Why don't you oink for me?" Xiao was too far gone to even hear you though.

"UNGHH! OH! HyaAHH! MnghGGHh!♡" Xiao still had that same stupid grin on his face. He enjoyed it all. Your harsh words, your big cock filling him up, the harsh grip on his thighs, just everything.

As you finally got close to cumming yourself, Xiao came again for the third time that night. When he clenched down on you, you couldn't hold back anymore. With one last thrust, you grinded down on Xiao's ass, filling him up to the brim. "OHHHHHH~UNGHH, GHKK♡" Xiao's back arched one last time, this time a clear liquid coming out of his dick, squirting all over himself.

"Looks like the little piggy squirted all over himself," you half said to yourself. Xiao had passed out, his body going limp. "Time to clean up♡"

♡XIAO!YAKSHA Argument W Love

arguing with xiao is like arguing with a brick wall. your boyfriend, sometimes forgets that you, have a ton of human emotion. so right now, your hands are being thrown in the air every so often for dramatic affect; and he’s standing there, taking it.

you weren’t mad at him for an invalid reason. you actually had a good point as to what upset you so much.

when traveling all together on accident and colliding down at the bottom of the chasm, you and yanfei found a way to connect with xiao and bring him to you. but after figuring out the time-loop, and the true loss of his friend’s life; you found an exit.

yelan and xiao used the said compass to help you all get out of this mess; whilst then xiao had full control of it, and you, yelan and yanfei fought the darkness that swormed.

for some odd reason, this entire small trip of yours, with friends, and boyfriend, he was awfully admiring the thought of sacrifice. and so when the compass was breaking, he teleported all of you to the surface; allowing him to fall alone. in the dark. zhongli had a feeling this would occur, and so luckily he was there to save your boyfriend. but what if..

“xiao, you could’ve died!” your voice on the cusp of a screech, you continued. “what then huh?”

“you were safe. that is all that mattered to me.” he defended, “I am an adeptus, it is my venture to protect liyue and its people.”

“what about being my protector? I don’t care if I’m stuck with you for eternity down there! sacrificing yourself is never the answer xiao!”

“it is when it was the only option for your safety!”

“no it isn’t!”

this argument was pointless. you were getting nowhere. you couldn’t really understand why xiao spoke so much about sacrificing himself earlier in the chasm, because you thought you’d made him a little less miserable. the moment you felt yourself touch the air above, when your feet hit the ground, you were quick to try running back into the chasm. but yelan held you back.

“I’m going to bed.” you mumbled; because after a long and complicated discussion full of yelling, how could you not be tired? in fact, xiao should be resting much more than you. but you weren’t going to push him right now.

you slush yourself into the shared bedroom in the teyvat building, knowing well that the wangshu inn walls were top quality, and still, verr could probably hear you both. you weren’t going to hear the end of it tomorrow.

fluffing your pillow now, you got yourself ready for bed. you couldn’t fight him anymore. like said in the beginning, it was like arguing with a brick wall. not because xiao could care less about you, or your feelings, no. xiao loves you, and for that, he’d do literally anything. but more so because xiao cannot comprehend the way he makes people feel sometimes; how he makes you feel, making poor decisions such as this.

he worries you. you felt your heart pound out of your chest, reliving the moments where you really thought you’d lost the love of your life forever.

as if on cue to the small twinkle of water that melted off the side of your face, your boyfriend wiped the tear from your stained cheek. he felt bad, slightly coming to an understanding on how you felt. I mean, you are his world; what if you were to do the same? what really got to him, was the spoken liquid that laced your beautiful complexion.

“please don’t cry my love.” xiao could feel your discomfort, hurt, fear, causing him to wrap himself around you, enclosing you in his body, as your head measles it’s way into his soft abed chest. still wanting to hit him and fight him, for now, you’d except the comfortable aura that now served the room. “I’m sorry.” xiao’s voice whispered; whilst his chin rests upon your head of hair, comfortably. “though as an adeptus I swore to protect the people of liyue, as your partner I also swore to protect you.”

“I love you.” his hands drabbled along your sides, now resting his head in the crook of your neck; allowing you to swirl your pointer-finger around in circles with strands of the green-blue locks combed through. “I love you.” you replied, still wrapping his hair around your digits, falling asleep in what felt like seconds after; satisfying xiao. and now he, can also rest.

as you predicted, you didn’t hear the end of it when trying to leave wangshu inn discreetly, verr was just waiting for you to try and leave without her catching sight of you.
