Genshin Venti X Reader - Blog Posts

hi, i love your work <3 i hope you don’t mind if i requested for a scenario with venti and a gn reader? the reader and venti are friends, but they remain unaware of his true identity. one day at windrise, venti decides to listen in on the wind and hear the prayers of his people, only to end up hearing a familiar voice praying to him—“oh lord barbatos, if it is your will, please let my good friend venti return my feelings.” (what happens next is up to you! that’s all, have a wonderful day <3)

to and for you [venti scenario]

perhaps praying to the anemo archon, barbatos for venti to like you back was a dumb plan in hindsight.

tw: none, just fluff

venti x gn! reader

a/n: this ask is so cute T~T <3333 sorry this took so long anon !! hopefully the writing makes up for the long wait

i would like to clarify that if any of these scenarios/hc’s of mine are similar to other writers’ works, it is unintentional and i apologize

“another glass for the bard, charles!”

the bartender seems reluctant to serve another glass to the out-of-it customer sitting beside you, giggling and letting out little hiccups ever so often.

“venti, i think you’ve hand enough drinks for the night..” you smile sympathetically at the now pouting male. he resembles a kicked puppy in this state, is what you thought.

“what?! but it’s only eight o’clock! i haven’t blacked out yet,” the drunkard retaliates but you know better, so does diluc who comes out from the back door of the tavern.

“y/n, would you mind helping him home? we’re about to close for the night,” the redhead takes notice of the clock displayed and how it’s five before ten pm. “i doubt he’d be able to stand without someone’s assistance.”

giving diluc a nod and taking an arm of his around your shoulders, you carry the boy (?) out of the tavern and bid goodnight to the two bartenders. venti is barely holding himself up as his legs shake, undoubtedly having a difficult time staying conscious.

‘really, what do i see in you, venti?’ you muse to yourself with a sigh. reaching for the key in his pocket, you unlock the door to his house and place him on the couch with a ‘phew!’

you notice that as soon as you let him down on the couch, venti’s already out cold, soft snores filling the silence that surrounds you both. the sight of him is enough to plaster a grin on your face, finding him the most endearing person you’ve had the pleasure of meeting. the way his eyebrows twitch in his sleep from time to time melts your heart like it was once made of ice, his murmuring of whatever he was dreaming of made it hard for you to keep yourself from pressing a kiss to silence him.

deciding it’s about time you leave and stop watching your friend sleep, you step out the house and retreat to your own.

the next morning, venti finds himself in the comfort of his own home, lying on the couch downstairs. “hng-!” he stretches his limbs, “y/n must’ve brought me home.” he laughs and makes a mental note to thank you later with a few drinks, quite lucky, you are.

“ah, what a splendid day!” the bard whimsically sighs as he steps out into the warmth of the sunlight. “perhaps this would make a fine day to play a few tunes at windrise,” he chuckles and sets foot.

you, on the other hand, were just waking up as you feel rays of sunshine beam through your window and strike your face with it’s comforting warmth. with fluttering eyes, you struggle to open them and yawn, “how come i’m still so tired?...”

ah, right. you had accompanied your lyre-playing friend to the tavern and went home later than you usually would. oh, well, not like you minded doing so.

smiling at the thought of his sleeping expression, you decided a few more hours of rest wouldn’t do much harm.

right before you drift away to slumber, you prayed silently to the anemo archon, rather blissfully,

“lord barbatos.. if you would be so kind, please let venti return my feelings. i don’t think i can take it much longer.”

and with that, you began to snooze once more.

whilst you rest peacefully, your said friend stared into the ground, frozen in what seemed like shock.

that was your voice, was it not?

slowly, a wide smile takes shape on the bard’s lips. “oh, dear y/n..” he chuckles and begins strumming his lyre as he sings.

you’re in for a ride, buddy.

as nighttime rolls around, venti waits for you at the usual spot in the tavern. grinning to himself, he had a plan on how he was going to make things work out between the two of you. just what he had in mind? wait and see.

“ah, y/n! thanks for assisting me home last night, hope i wasn’t too much trouble to deal with.” venti laughs and pats the seat next to him, inviting you to sit next to him.

“it wasn’t any trouble, venti, worry not.” you smile and take a seat.

a few drinks after, everything seemed to be going fine and dandy. that is until your bard friend started spacing out, seemingly in pain.

“are you alright?..” you crouch down to his level as the clutches his stomach, clearly too pained to respond. diluc sees this and rushes over, albeit quietly so as to not grab attention from the other customers. “what happened to him?” his query was met with a shrug from you. huffing in concern, he guides you both to the backroom where you could have some privacy.

you sit venti down and rub his back, wondering what in the world could have happened.

“y/n..” he says weakly, “can i trust you with something?” he asks as he meets your gaze. quickly nodding, you insist he carries on.

“what is it you want to entrust to me?” you ask.

he takes your hands in his and suddenly sits up.

what?

“i want to entrust onto you..” he raises your hands to his lips and gives it a warm peck, “my feelings.”
