Anyone who has NOT seen The Owl House, explain what's happening in this picture:
I havenāt posted any fanart on here so I decided to do the owl house. (And a new au) like what if hunter new about let the pain be shared spell? It worked on eda so Iād think it would work on belos. Hereās just the sketch
In a galaxy far far away, a rebel cell began to form on the planet Boilosa. The Empire sent a special legion, the Empire Coven as they called themselves, to the planet to cease the ācivil unrest.ā But all it did was strengthen the resolve of the planetās residents. So, just like Lothol⦠a rebellion had begun.

Main/Important Characters:
Luz Noceda: Daughter of a Order 66 survivor and a retired medical officer, Luz Noceda was born with a unique connection with the force, allowing her to sense things via the nature around her. After an Inquisitor killed her father, Luz began to learn more about the ways of the Jedi, but she wanted to learn her own way and follow her own path. This is what brought her in seeking out a mentor to teach her the ways of the Force and the ways of the Blade and Blaster. Little did Luz know, but this would bring out a whole new rebel cellās birth.Ā
Amity Blight: Daughter of a human (Alador) and a Nightsister (Odelia), Amity Blight was almost raised to be loyal to the Empire, but her father had other ideas on how to raise their children, so he took them to Boilosa. There, Amity learned more about her heritage and abilities with Dathomir magic. Slowly but surely she became quite skilled with it, especially in the area of summoning Dathomir spirits to her aid. It was actually her summoning spirits that caused her to bump into Luz on one of Luzās adventures on the planet.
Eda Clawthorne: A Mandalorian that takes care of a young native to the planet (King), Eda Clawthorne, or the Owl Lady, is a very skilled and powerful bounty hunter, taking on even rouge Jedi and high ranking Imperial officials. Thanks to this, she has become quite the target. And Boilosa is the perfect place to hide out. Eda was content on causing the occasional mischief on the planet⦠that was until Luz the human arrived, claiming she was the daughter of a fallen Jedi and wanted to be trained how to fight. Needless to say, Eda never backs down from a challenge.
King: A young native to Boilosa, King is a very boisterous youngster, but he has a little bit of right to do so. His father was THE Titan, a legendary Jedi that left the order due to conflicting views. Titan believed that some people, even Dark Side users, deserved to get a second chance and a way to redeem themselves, among other beliefs. It was said beliefs that lead Titan to leave the order and start a family, King being his only offspring. Well, King now learns under Eda, and has quite the knowledge of Mandalorian culture.
The Titan/Titan: The legendary jedi who left the order, Titan has become something of a myth on the planet. But he is indeed real and alive, hiding deep in the pits of the planet, meditating in a form of hibernation. And thanks to this, he has become so attuned with the planet, he can manipulate it at will.
Willow: A Nautolan researching the local botany on the planet, Willow is a strong willed scientist and fighter. Bullied during her childhood, Willow strived to prove herself to her dads, her classmates, and above all else.. Herself. And thanks to learning so much about botany and biology, Willow has become a force to reckon with, being able to whip up a bunch of deadly and powerful āpotionsā with ease.Ā
Gus: A Kel Dor on Boilosa to learn more about holograms and stealth technology, Augustus (Or Gus, as he prefers to be called by) was always treated differently due to his intelligence and skills with hologram technology. But after learning more and more and proving he was doing very well for himself, Gus left his home to Boilosa to experiment and learn. And now he can use the technology to create multiple holograms so perfect to himself and others he can trick any foe with ease.
Hunter: Hunter never knew his parents⦠probably because he was an unaltered clone of Belosās deceased rebel brother Caleb. Belos created Hunter to become the ultimate Imperial soldier. Hunter has used every weapon in the Imperial military and flown every TIE Fighter model that made it to high production. But Hunter was a unique clone. He wanted to explore, to learn, to EXPERIENCE normal everyday life. So when Luz revealed to him the treachery of the Empire⦠and his true origin⦠he was given that chance to fight for that normal life.
Odelia Blight: Odelia Blight is a money driven marketer. She knows how to use her words to get what she wants, and she usually gets it. So when she joined the Empire, well⦠she rose through the ranks quickly.Ā
Alador Blight: The husband of Odelia, Alador has forgotten why he married Odelia to begin with. And since leaving with the kids, heās been keeping busy, repairing and rebuilding battle droids from the Clone Wars to keep his family safe and make some extra cash to get food on the table.
Belos: An Imperial Grand Admiral with deadly ambitions, Belos Whitebane is a pure force of hatred. If he had been connected to the Force, he may have been one of the most powerful Sith Lords⦠and it was this realization that made Belos connect with Moff Gideon to discuss cloning. Belos would make hundreds of clones of his deceased brother, each slightly altered to convince others of them being just related or it being of coincidence. And when he was ordered to Boilosa, he was ecstatic to begin his true reign of terror with his Empire Coven.
Lilith: Lilith truly believed the Empire was doing something good. As a Mandalorian, she joined the Imperial Navy to bring honor to her family. And she rose quickly through the ranks, commanding entire platoons of Stormtroopers. But when the Empire Coven were ordered to Boilosa, Lilithās entire world would slowly crumble to reveal the awful tyranny she had spent her life defending.

Important Story/AU Notes:
The cast would all be mainly the Time Skip ages/ādesigns.ā
Mrs. Noceda is alive and well, no worries there.
Boilosa is a large planet, looking almost exactly like the Boiling Isles, but without giant skeletons.
The planet is home to various creatures, including ones indigenous to other planets.
Boilosa was once a place connected deeply to the Force, and temples dedicated to both the Sith and the Jedi are scattered all over the planet, in addition to the High Republic army bases hidden and the old Clone Wars bases and warehouses scattered as well.
Any conflict on Boilosa was minimal, the best being a firefight in the sky.
The citizens of Boilosa are from various species from across the galaxy.
Amityās Dathomirian magic is slightly altered due to being partially human, so her magic is purple in color.
Edric and Emira Blight are both more human than Nightsister in appearance.
Story wise, this follows a similar plot of the Owl House (Luz learning magic, exploring the isles, and making friends all the while fighting Belos) but with more exploration, more making allies, and more learning her abilities. The big fights are scattered and altered.
Luzās lightsaber is basically Stringbean. Purple and that tan-ish blue as the hilt, and yellow being the color of the blade.
Stringbean themself is an Astromech droid with the same spunk as R2-D2 but with a bit more innocence.Ā
What would happen if the Grom had consumed the boiling islands, losing control due to the fear of Amity, killing our favorite characters due to their fears and those who would survive in this new world...?
One of my AUs is one where the events of The Owl House change in the episode King's Tide where everything goes worse here and Luz loses an arm and ends up somewhere other than the boiling islands and I was asking you, do you want to see a fa art of how light is seen in this au ordered by one person per order
The gods decided the herratisation of all humanity but a Valkyrie decides to save humanity by doing nothing more and nothing less than Ragnarok but not only gods will participate but beings from other worlds will be the representatives of humanity
philip in swag fits because who's stopping me. hunter in addition. couldn't help myself

A theory in a different light.
Oh I just had an evil thought about the Ghoul AU
Belos uses food as a main manipulation tactic for keeping Hunter "efficient and successful" on his missions. It has not been revealed where that meat comes from (if I'm not missing or forgetting anything).
I would totally believe that since petrification is admittedly rarely done if at all in the present day, Belos would feed him the meat of prisoners. Maybe he would amputate them and use those removed limbs to simultaneously feed Hunter less and still keep the meat fresh---objectively, it's being efficient with resources and punishing him for underperforming.
How fucked up would it be if (assuming that the ingredients required to create Grimwalkers are reusable and that the process is worth the time investment) Belos feeds him other Grimwalkers. What if he had tried it previously with the bodies of failed specimens? Would they have been able to tell the difference?
Sorry for the ramble, I just woke up from a nap and had a brrrrrr brain moment
Correct for the most part! The Emperor coven is already known to have secret petrifications of Wild witches so it would make sense for some of them to be executed in different ways for reasons. I donāt think heād be bother to have limbs amputated, rather why not just kill them if heās already fine with doing that.
Though the idea of āreformedā wild witches(aka those forced into covens) leaving the conformatorium with missing limbs and being told thatās just punishment is all sorts of dystopian. Though, I always like the idea that the most wild of witches would just ādisappearā and the rest, lesser ones would be forced into covens or kept imprisoned. They all get arrested but have different fates depending on severity of their crimes.
After Hunter carvings arise, Belos has a select few witches hanged and taken to the morgue where they could be butchered by him or Hunter (a form of punishment) for food privately.
I always saw Grimwalkers being a limited product due to having very limited sources. I mean there arenāt many palistorm trees, selkidomous are rare, stonesleeper lungs where already limited at the start and might degrade over time, and the galdorstones are difficult to obtain. Realistically, I think Belos could only have a max of two grimwalkers at a time since heās reusing parts.
Also the horror that Hunterās body parts had been reused multiple times for past Golden Guards is too horrific to pass up. I think Belos harvests the corpses for these parts after killing them, all besides the bone since thatās too tedious for what itās worth. So as much as he would like to make Hunter cannibalize other grimwalkers for experiments, he canāt do that unfortunately without further degrading a limited source.
(I think he would have had more sources in the past where he would have been able to do experiments on the grimwalkers until these materials eventually became unusable and he had to be more cautious on what he used his remaining materials on, much to his dismay)
So the best he could do is make Hunter eat the bones. Yes our boy eats bones, plenty of carnivorous animals do and itās a good source of calcium. Though he canāt survive off them, thats an incredibly deficient diet. Since Hunter is actually consuming something thatās the same species as him, this is genuine cannibalism and it makes him incredibly sick.
Hunter is unaware of this of course, assuming itās some random witch bone that tastes weirdly gross and is also a bit aged for his liking(not like he has the option to be picky)
Like I said, it makes him sick. Like heās been poisoned sick. Through these are just bones and whoās to say that Belos doesnāt have grimwalker organs and flesh, preserved somewhere in storage. Might explore that possibility in the future.
A high effort shit post based off of this post I saw a while back and tagged Hunter core.
I think that people sometimes don't understand the kind of abuse Belos put hunter through. He didn't just make him miserable and do nothing but ever hurt him. Hunter wouldnt have been so loyal if he had. Belos manipulated him. He made him think it was his own fault if he got hurt, he deserved it because he let Belos down. Think of the way Belos spoke to him during the last episode of season 2. "Why are you hurting me? I just wanted to help you." He lies to him. He probably HAS told hunter that he loves him. Probably when he was younger he DID show him affection, and then started withholding it. So he starts feeling withdrawals for it. He gets more desperate as he's forced to fight harder and harder to get it.
And on a similar note. I don't think people realize Belos not being able to control his curse wasnt a lie? Like we see him struggle to repress it on multiple occasions. As early as when he meets Luz in the past, we see when we see his arm with the glyphs on it, the way it ripples and bulges and he's obviously in pain as he forces it down. That's what happened in hollow mind; we see the mass of palisman souls are fighting inside of him. Thats his curse. All those souls he's consumed trying to destroy him. And then Belos destroys it, which gives him for the first time full control over his fucked up body. Before that he genuinely doesn't have full control of himself
In terms of the belos saying "I love you" I feel like he said it once and exactly once, and it was the day he was sworn in as the guard but he didn't mean it to Hunter, he meant it to the mask, this was done so that Hunter would only want to be the guard
OUCH
Belos saying āI love youā but only to the symbol and Hunter mistaking it for him. How happy Hunter would be at the words while Belos doesnāt even acknowledge it.
To me, I never saw Belos saying ā I love you.ā He only ever loved the idea of the Golden Guard or the perfect replacement but never actually loved it in execution if you get what I mean. He seems more like the type to say āThe Titan blessed me with a nephew.ā or āappreciate your presenceā or some flowery crap like that.
In the drawing it was Hunter grabbing onto Belos and saying āI love youā because the poor child is desperate and exhausted while Belos stands there surprised and doesnāt hug him back.
Though now Iām imagining a BoJack Horseman ICU moment where Hunter is talking to his friends and realizes Belos never said āI love youā to him but to the mask.
Imagine an AU where Belos is imprisoned after Titan Luz defeats him rather than killed.
Then one day Hunter comes to visit him in his prison and he asks if Belos ever thought he could have been happy with him.
And (and I know this would be OOC for him) Belos can't bring himself to answer. He would gladly say no just to make Hunter feel bad, or maybe even say yes to manipulate him, but he actually finds himself lost for words.
Hmmm, this is outside of what you asked but I wonder if Belos did have any sort of love for Hunter.
Itās already stated that Belos created Hunter as a toddler. Itās still unconfirmed if he made any other baby grimwalkers. Iām also pretty sure it was confirmed that he experimented on grimwalkers too, so not every grimwalker was a Golden Guard. So Iām going to assume all the previous Golden Guards where older teens to adults. I wonder if he had any attachment to Hunter, I mean he was around since he was basically a baby. Itās hard to imagine not having some fondness for something like that but again this is Belos.
I see different thoughts on why Belos created the grimwalkers, some say it was Belos way of justifying himself and reliving the betrayal over and over, it was genuinely to get an ideal version of Caleb, to have a new brother to take care of him, ect. I genuinely wonder if Belos ever loved a grimwalker, maybe the early ones but that was hundreds of years ago and thatās still a maybe.
He hallucinates Caleb looking down on him, disappointed. He knows subconsciously that what he doing is wrong but heās too far deep into his delusion that heās saving mankind from these sinful witches.
In the end they are just tools, an uncanny replacement for the brother he murdered and never got over.
But at the same time he did express disappointment at Hunter not lasting, the collector also question why he didnāt kill Hunter when he had the chance to after eclipse lake which is odd if Hunter is so replaceable. That he genuinely believed that Hunter would stay in line and be his most loyal one.
Actually now that I think about it, Hunter never betrayed Belos explicitly. He only rebelled in small ways like studying wild magic, making friends and having a palismen which Lilith also had. Hunter only nearly got killed because he found out the truth but Belos never gave him the chance to plead for mercy or the option to come back. Who knows if Hunter would have gone back if he was given the chance, Belos could have at least attempted to manipulate him to believing what he saw was fake or something.
He says their betrayals hurt but never shows it. While I do think the grimwalkers are set for failure since the start, he might have had hope that Hunter would have lasted since this one he actually raised this one and the fact that Hunter was actually loyal and devoted to him. It hurts how much this kid loves him.
Idk if the other grimwalkers were tricked to believing Belos was their family or something but Hunter loved him like a father figure and wanted his approval so badly and Belos knew this.
To your hypothetical, imprisoned Belos Au are interesting but something you donāt see often. I think he would spend a lot of time pondering, praying and wondering what ifās. Considering thereās not much to do when youāre locked up. He allowed himself to live in ignorance and hate for so long, was it even worth it? Could have he been happy in a place like the boiling isles? What if he never killed Caleb? What if he never left the human realm? What if he never made a daring spell? Why did he make coven again? What if he gave which kind a chanceā¦? What if he never abused his grimwalkers? It all too crazy and heās spiraling.
Hunter visits one day despite being told it not a good idea. But how could he not? Despite being abused and hurt in unfathomable ways by him, he still loves him in sick way. He was his only family for so long, that man who kept him isolated. He still fantasizes about being fussed over and loved by Belos, still has āfondā memories of him. So to Belos surprise, the Grimwalker he once killed and abused is now sitting in front of him, ready to chat.
They talk for a bit, Hunter tells him a bit about the outside word and the changes made. He isnāt aggressive or confrontational, he couldnāt be even if he wanted to. Belos stays silent, unsure of what to say. Most grimwalkers expressed hatred before death, yet this one who he actually once killed was chatting with him like it was a normal day. Hunter is terrified but he keeps chatting, pretending this is fine. Belos tries to make his own comments and redirect the conversations but canāt. He lost for words because heās in a situation not even he foresaw. He expected rage, ridicule or even tears but not this. Hunter was talking to him like he was still family.
I imagine Hunter, in his ill mind, still thinking of Belos as family. Still someone he wants to love despite everything. That he often thinks of him even on good days.
Soon Hunter asks that question if Belos could have ever been happy with him, if he ever loved him. Hunter believes that answer is no, he was already marked for the slaughter with that sigil, a dead man walking. Even if he wants that answer so badly to be yes.
And Belos canāt answer because heās already thought of this. Could he have been happy with Hunter? Was he fond of Hunter? Was Hunter just a replacement? Was he a good replacement? Could he have loved him outside of being a replacement? Was there any love for the child he raised?
He could say no and hurt Hunter, the āloveā was always conditional, he was just a tool, was meant to be dead, ect. (But that might drive Hunter away and Belos is lonely)
He could say yes and give Hunter false hope, manipulate him, make him take pity, revive that old loyalty, ect. (He could get caught in this monitored state and get his only loyal companion ripped away)
But he canāt answer because he doesnāt know. Itās been so long since he had loved. He hated for far too long, he got rid of any chance to love. Was it possible to be happy with Hunter? Just him being Hunter and not some tool or replacement?
Idk this concept is good, I genuinely wonder what would have happened if Belos did actually love Hunter. I donāt think he does or ever did, he was just upset that his tools broke faster than he thought it would but itās an interesting thought. I think if Belos and Hunter did start to bond in this Au, everything would be bittersweet in the worse ways.
I love you
I wonder if he ever said those words. If he ever said it back. Likely no.
Iāve had these two in my head for a bit. I must confess their relationship in the show is something that has intrigued me like no other and is something I seek in the fandom. In my time in consuming media, specifically cartoons, you often see unhealthy or abusive relationships. Itās fairly common now. But Belos and Hunter will always be the most visceral to me.
Hunter seeking comfort in Belos will always be the best angst. Hunter is my favorite character but in a way so is Belos. I have a love hate relationship with that hag.
Blood warning!

I see lots of fanfics that talk about the Grimwalker stories and myths as Grimwalkers being these predators that hunt witches and are these monster that feed off of flesh, but all of these are usually false and like I said just myths.
So what if that wasnāt the case? What if Grimwalkers were the flesh craving beasts everyone thinks they are. Aka me giving Hunter the Tokyo Ghoul treatment (kinda)
This image takes place during Thanks to Them, heās hunting and consuming animals to sustain himself but they can only do so much. He keeps it a secret because heās ashamed, scared and full of self loathing. Unfortunately you can only sneak out and wash your clothes so frequently until you get caught.
ā¦
The craving flesh started around the time Hunter started hitting his second stage of puberty, so around 12 to 13 years old. It started off as spouts of aggression, weight loss and odd carvings that he suppressed until he eventually snapped and attacked a scout. Once he consumed flesh, there was no going back.
This happened with a few Grimwalkers, typically one made around pubescent years due to this being a natural development. Grimwalkers who are made as adults donāt get this since get miss that developmental period. A reason why Belos made Grimwalkers strictly adults for hundreds of years before trying out a new experiment.
When Belos made Hunter, he was aware of this and rather than kill Hunter off or just make an adult Grimwalker, he decided he can benefit from a āmonsterā needing a source of food.
Hence, Hunter picking up a reputation for being āferal.ā Belos supplies Hunter with blood and flesh but not enough to satisfy him, just the minimum to keep him alive. This is to keep Hunter at a state where heās willing to do more work to earn more food but unfortunately this just results in cases of Hunter going ātoo farā aka mauling different beings (witches, beasts, demons, ect) during missions on the accounts heās literally starving and being triggered in fights.
He can eat normal food but his sense of taste is bit dull and doesnāt give him the nutrition he needs. He can eat and eat and it will do nothing. He learns to satisfy himself through eating animals he hunts during missions. When he gets to the human realm he eats his food with an overwhelming amount of seasoning just to taste it.
He also has a very strong jaw and sharp teeth, like hyena type stuff.
(Imagine a scenario he pauses a mission mid way to go hunt some voles and eat them raw and the scouts just standing there like-)
After Hollow mind Hunter struggles because now heās has little source of witch or demon flesh (he raids the healing classes for blood and kitchen for uncooked meat)
So during thanks to them heās forced to live with three witches, a basilisk, two humans who are somewhat similar to witches and oh boy he struggles. His friends are concerned. Camila notices Hunter eats a lot but still looks like he isnāt gaining weight, Gus notices that he sneaks out, Vee smells something wrong with him, Luz sees how on edge he is, Amity catches on to his burst of aggression (caused by hunger and stress) and Willow notices he avoids them.
They all already knows something is off with him (heightened senses, unusual teeth and jaw strength, glowing eyes, unusually tight and powerful muscles despite how gaunt he is) but only Luz knows heās a grimwalker but hasnāt quite put the peices thatās heās a unnatural, natural predator to witches and demons. The witches, Vee and even the humans feel a slight primal fear around Hunter but they canāt quite put the reason why, he puts them on edge even if they love him but somethingās off.
Despite the fact that all of them are willing to give him blood, even some flesh if they could, the boy just refuses, since he sees himself as a literal monster that needs to be locked up.
This is me giving Hunter Grimwalker trauma x100. Anywho this is my late Halloween post aka my billionth AU idea. This was inspired by Tokyo Ghoul, Ginger snaps(2000) and the fic [redacted] Hunter by ApaMonkey on ao3! Yall should read it!
I have a weakness for flesh craving characters who arenāt villains but they arenāt so common so of course I had to project that love to my own skrunkly!
A morbid cycle tbh, also first ToonSquid animation!
Hollow Mind alternative
Loosely connected drawings (might be fleshed out in the future as a mini comic)
If Hunter had been more willing to stay be Belos side
Hunter has a kill count cuz I said so
Alcoholic Belos real!?

Owl house theory, spoilers ahead
So in belosā memories theres a scene of either a bonfire or someone burning at the stake. Imma say burning at the stake for the sake of this.
So Belos-Phillip ig-is british right?
What happened in britian years ago?
The witch trials.
What if in this universe, the demon and human realm used to be one cohesive world, but because of the humans starting to kill every witch, the witches made their own dimension and dipped. This all happened during Phillips life.Ā
So he as a shitty evil child is likeĀ āOh the witches think they can escape? Hahahaha, No.ā So he uses his brother who he knows is dating a witch-Clawthorne-to get to the demon realm. He kills his brother cause....idfk heās Belos he does shitty things.
He pretends to look for help only to kill the witches who offer it. Now heās making the sigils to rid them of all their power andĀ āevilā or whatever.
idfk whats up the colllector tho, their a funky dude.Ā
