Dusk Till Dawn is an interactive novel set in the modern world with an MC that is a little out of place. Will you find your own place in a world so foreign to you? Or will you crumble to dust?

Genre(s): Low-Fantasy, Mystery, Thriller, Romance, and Action.

Setting: Washington, D.C.

Warning(s): This story is rated 18+ for depictions of death, blood, gore, strong language, alcohol consumption, sexual themes, violence, and horrible vampire puns.

Those were the names that were given to you through the ages; mortals laying claim to something that would long outlive them.

The stories, myths, and legends hanging over you like an ever-present cloud— whether they were based on fact or not didn’t matter— as the centuries passed you by. Empires rising and falling like the evening tide before your eyes.

You don’t know the exact event that caused your long rest— you didn’t truly need to— but the boredom that the mortal world brought weighed on your shoulders like the heaviest of objects.

So, you closed your eyes and drifted away; allowing your body to lull itself into a false sense of serenity.

You just weren’t expecting the next time you opened them that you’d be in an entirely foreign place; new smells assaulting your senses that you’ve never encountered before.

All but one that is…

Blood.

However, when you went to investigate— trying to ignore the strangeness of your surroundings— you’re assaulted by a scene you weren’t expecting; a mutilated corpse lay mere feet from you, that didn’t truly phase you, but the odd object pointed directly at your chest and the shout of ‘police’ was certainly quite peculiar.

What have you gotten yourself into now?

Customizable MC: name, appearance, gender, sexuality, bits and pieces of your background, hobbies, and more!

Romance 1 of 5 possible options! That’ll hopefully make your new life a bit more bearable.

Play as a displaced Dracula that doesn’t know what in the hell is going on. Who’s also found themselves as the prime suspect in a murder investigation. Welcome to the 21st Century?

Will you accept these new objects that mortals seem to be so fond of? What is a cellphone? And why does someone want you to call them later?

Adopt a pet to make things a bit easier for your poor self; they’re something that’s familiar at least.

Make sure that you don’t go too long without feeding and, depending on how you do it, don’t get caught.

Find out what the world has now spun your legend as and what they’ve made your kind out to be. What in the absolute hell is Twilight?

Figure out who killed the victim; either because you want to see justice be served or to save your own ass or something in the middle. Choice is yours…

The world may not be ready for Count Dracula to be back but are you ready for what the world is now too?

Victor/Victoria Helsing - The Detective

The individual that arrested you in the first place— despite your protests— and who holds a shocking resemblance to a man you once knew; annoying as his attempts at killing you might have been. Of course, you can’t truly blame the steely eyed detective for arresting you— after all you were near a dead body— but did they have to be so skeptical to your explanations?

Flynn/Felicity Palmer - The Doctor

You don’t think you’ve ever seen a mortal so obsessed with death before— the good doctor notwithstanding— and you especially weren’t expecting the clinical way in which they operated. Confidence exuding from their form as they speak about the scientific facts of the situation but the moment it becomes personal? They remind you of a turtle with how quickly they retreat back into their shell.

Tyler/Taylor Kendrick - The Curator

The one in charge of the exhibit that you had woken up in; an individual that seems fascinated with the tales that you tell about your past. Even if they don’t truly believe you’re telling the truth the honest inquires and open questions give you a semblance of an idea that they wish to believe; the pursuit of knowledge is never truly over after all.

Adrian/Ariana Shaw - The Neighbor

Upon moving into your new apartment— a bit of a downgrade from your castle— they’ve been a constant source of help whenever you can’t quite figure out how a new appliance works. With a cheerful disposition, horrible puns, and an all around helpful attitude, you knew that you’d be seeing a lot more of them. Maybe it’ll turn into something more?

Damon/Diana Walker - The Old Friend

Someone you haven’t seen in quite some time. Who’s seemed to finally come into their own; from someone who used to trip over their words to a flirtatious heartbreaker. You can’t help but notice, however, whenever you get near they seem to stumble back into their old role. Their words coming out with less suaveness and more quite nerves; you haven’t the slightest inclination why but maybe you’ll figure it out as you get to know them once more.
