What if all the Willy Wonka’s are the same Willy Wonka the only difference is they were raised by different parents.
This needs to be a fanfic! I may write it myself but this has been keeping me up daydreaming with ways this could possibly happen.
My theory for Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version at least) is that Willy Wonka is actually Charlie Bucket’s dad. You never see “Mr Bucket”. Mr Wonka gives the factory to Charlie in the end - a move that you would make if the person was your kin. I think that Mr Wonka made sure that Charlie got that golden ticket, somehow, just as he made sure that it was only children who got them.
These are just my theories.

Next year marks twenty years since the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film was released, and I'm wondering what a 2025 remake would look like.
The kids still have their gimmicks, but on social media. Augustus has a food blog. Veruca posts her shopping hauls on Tiktok. Violet has her own chewing gum line. Mike streams his gaming.
The Bucket family have two, maybe three ancient flip top phones between them on the cheapest prepaid plan available.
At the factory entrance Wonka demands all phones be handed in or turned off inside, no filming allowed. Maybe the factory has its own, very weird intranet system that does odd things to outside devices when you try to secretly film stuff? Could be a good modern update to the story so long as social media adds to the wackiness instead of taking over.

About the last one: Willy Wonka did say it was for children who had little pocket money. And as far as we know, he didn’t make other types of everlasting candy, so he would still get a lot of profit from all his other products while also earning points towards his public image.
Tired of fiction lying to me about food things
Turkish delight is NOT delicious or even remotely palatable, let alone good enough to sell your family to an evil witch for.
A spoonful of sugar does NOT help the medicine go down, in fact it makes it much much worse because now you have a mouthful of hard-to-swallow medicine flavoured sugar-goo. 0/10 do not recommend.
An everlasting gobstopper is a TERRIBLE business idea. there's absolutely no profit to be made there.

A poster I made for a client weeks ago for a school musical! I edited the movie’s typeface to something more retro, & subdued the psychadelic 1970’s color palette. But I tried to keep the original zany tone of the story. I also had to keep that iconic purple!
Willy Wonka’s Appereance
The new Young Willy Wonka seems more like a mixture of Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp’s Willy Wonkas than just being a specific one of them.
For example, Young Wonka’s outfit seems more like Gene Wilder’s Wonka with the hat and the bright uniquely patterned shirt but the general colour scheme of his outfit such as his coat looks more like Johnny Depp’s Wonka.
Timothée Chalamet’s Wonka also doesn’t wear gloves. This is similar to Gene Wilder’s Wonka but it could also be because when he got older he wore gloves to look more professional or perhaps to hide the injury scars he got in his chocolate factory.
Timothée Chalamet’s Wonka has brown hair, similar to Johnny Depp’s Wonka.
Timothée Chalamet’s Wonka’s hair is also curly, he also has an optimistic charming smile and energy similar to Gene Wilder’s Wonka.
