Been trying to finish Carrie by Stephen King for my first book of 2025, I'm getting close to done but I needed an excuse to listen to it. So I decided to draw Carrie while the audiobook played
Don't usually draw from this angle, and it was a sketch that got out of hand lol so it's not perfect but I think it's fun and different from what I normally draw.
I referenced the 1976(?) version of it, if I was doing book accurate I would've drawn it differently though.

As much as I love all three film adaptations in different ways, I still mourn for a closer adaptation to the novel (Points to 2002 though for trying and 2013 until studio interference)

Here is a follow up to my previous book!Carrie designs. I tried to stick closely with the book descriptions, especially for Margaret, but some of the characters were left to my imagination. I was heavily influenced by the 2002 adaptation of Sue, as she's by far my favourite interpretation of that character.

I hear Carrie's being adapted again as a TV series for Amazon by Mike Flanagan and I'm now coming to terms with my apparent witch powers with how I manifested this back in 2021
Anyway, sincerely hoping they'll consider casting an actress that will accurately represent my fat, telekinetic, bloody queen from the novel.
Happy Halloween season! Here's another stab at my own take of Carrie White, based on her book description. I'm super happy with how these turned out! I'd love to tackle some of the other characters in the book eventually, especially Margaret!

The Queen of Highschool Land
At least in her mind
In a Dark World taking place in the school Cara Carrie was the school popular bitch who had it all
She was a shoe in for prom queen
Then....Molly got her leg amputated and suddenly everyone was giving her pity votes
Her dad pressured her to be the Prom Queen
And so.....She did whatever it took
And when her boyfriend announced he was going to prom with Molly....Cara snapped
She killed all her F̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ Traitors and poured their blood on the P̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶Q̶u̶e̶e̶n̶ bitch Molly
She was arrested and all records of her cleared
Some people say she was put in the school basement in a straightjacket
But that's just a silly rumor right~
But now she's the prom queen and once she breaks free of her padded cell she'll make sure EVERYONE remembers CARA CARRIE
She obviously is a Muffet and Chara themed boss but is also based on the movie Carrie and also the main reason I made her is the song The Ballad of Sara Berry which is basically what I copied for her backstory
Still I think she turned out pretty fun and C̶r̶e̶e̶p̶y̶ Beautiful
