leverage leverage redemption leverage redemption spoilers the swipe right job the first one is obviously aimee you meet someone. you have a good relationship. you give her a promise ring. and then you get shipped off to war and can't stay in touch the timing of eliot's backstory continues to not make sense but from the way he says this i'm choosing to interpret this as the other relationship being *after* he effectively broke things off with aimee (by which i mean disappeared off the face of the earth) i don't want to think eliot was cheating on aimee during the on-again-off-again phase but honestly the timeline of eliot and aimee's relationship has never made any sense this could make sense if we reinterpret the monkey scene (“what reasonable justification could you have for just dropping off the planet?” / [flashback] “WHERE'S THE MONKEY” / “i was... working”) which i always thought was a retrieval job post-leaving the military but could i guess still be in said warzone idk there are many ways to make this timeline make sense and clearly they were going for effect here more than anything else i do also choose to interpret the person he hooked up with in a warzone as probably a man <3
