honestly my study motivation is being able to maximise the number of men I can be condescending to
(jokes aside, I love explaining things to people who are interested - strangely, it's almost always women)
hardest part about studying stem is not the stem it's the fucking incel classmates thinking they're special and smart
like ok we can all solve differential equations but can you do that while being a decent person? mm yeah didn't think so
I am once again asking for The Feminists in My Phone's blessing for my exam today
true if you're in the uk
“nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”
damn you must suck at cooking. check out some youtube tutorials man. i believe in you.
"all girls are bad at math" <- actual real women are discouraged to pursue stem careers and if they do, they feel an enormous amount of pressure
"all women are bad at driving" <- actual real women are discouraged to get a driving license, which limits their freedom because they depend on husbands/fathers
"all men are trash" <- that one guy who's probably trash doesn't feel venerated in the niche leftist online space which he mistakes for real life
fixed it for you.
men: *create degrading stereotypes about women, abuse women, overall harm women* women: men fucking su-
people for some reason: WOWWWW THESE GENDER WARS HAVE GOT TO STOP 🥺 THESE ARE EQUALLY AS BAD
helloooo
just download tumblr again and saw a couple asks wondering where I was (thanks!!!)
a lot of things have been happening lately, mainly I'm busy writing my dissertation bc I'm about to graduate and my advisor told me she's going to be abroad for like a month so we have to cram a lot of the work now 😭😭 I'm having a lot of fun with that tho and have no stress university-wise
BUT ALSO next year I'm moving to another country to continue my studies and looking for a flat is absolutely draining me (the lack of dishwashers.......)
also, originally I took this kinda long hiatus from the blog bc I was organising some events and demonstration at my university, mainly feminism-related (maybe I'll write another post on that as well :))) ) it all went very well and I'm very proud
so yeah been doing lots of stuff but I admit I missed my radical feminist corner of this website 🫶🏻🫶🏻
what have you all been up to lately?????
when I hear that from men who study math I always tell them "you're not good at math and it shows" because how have you never heard of Emmy Noether
men be like "if women are really that intelligent, why are all major discoveries made by men? 🤓" as if they didn’t quite literally burn women alive if they were smart back in the day
In Italy, it's really common for clubs (like discos) to do free entry for women, which is clearly a marketing tactic to get more disgusting males to buy a ticket because they're going to find girls there.
Is this common in other countries as well? Do young people talk about it? Here it's a huge MRA argument for "women's privilege" 🙄
It follows Delia, a woman stuck in an abusive marriage, during the days of the first italian general elections in which women were allowed to vote, just after the liberation from fascism, while american troops were still patrolling italian streets.
It's fun and delicate while tackling important issues, and it's one of the few strongly feminist movies that managed to appeal to the general public in a country in which femicide is still a prominent issue which our government refuses to talk about.
It was Cortellesi's directional debut (she's also a co-writer and plays the main character), which is wonderful on its own but even more so as it was the most successful film at the Italian box office in 2023.
Please please please support women directors, especially those who are not american and struggle to get to an international public.
Paola Cortellesi and Emanuela Fanelli in "There's still tomorrow"/"C'è ancora domani" (2023)
I'm begging all feminists to watch this movie if you haven't, it was huge in Italy and deserves more international recognition
Stop forgetting that being a woman is not a monolithic ensemble of patriarchal stereotypes.
So disheartening that in 2025 we still have to remind people, young people, that women are people.
"I'm not a woman, I'm just a person"
Women are people, being a woman is being a person, we are not an alien or some kind of strange invention. Women are people, being a woman is being a person.
All I hear is "I see other women as props and I believe being a lesbian means assimilating my behaviour to that of a straight man while upholding patriarchal sexual standards so men still find me palatable"
Who actually believes this wattpad ass story
This is an absolutely insane take for a feminist.
Women stuck in abusive and violent marriages (which are really common in countries where women rights are practically non-existent, which, coincidentally, are the countries with higher immigration rates) have a much easier time leaving these situations if they're in western countries.
Daughters of undocumented immigrants deserve to live in countries where getting an education is not illegal.
Daughters and sons of undocumented immigrants deserve to live in countries where they won't get killed, raped and imprisoned if they're gay.
I don't care how they got here, if our half-assed western democracies can save even just one woman, that's all that matters.
Gonna be honest I support deporting illegal immigrants
