In Italy, it's really common for clubs (like discos) to do free entry for women, which is clearly a marketing tactic to get more disgusting males to buy a ticket because they're going to find girls there.
Is this common in other countries as well? Do young people talk about it? Here it's a huge MRA argument for "women's privilege" 🙄
being an overall skinny woman with some muscle on your arms condemns you to descend into hell whenever you have to buy a blouse/shirt
because beauty standards and shit
I've been having the flu on and off for a month now
Being sick for anything longer than three days is unreasonable. Like okay, I get it, let's fucking wrap it up here
Bring back women learning self-defense as an anti-fascism movement
Just saw the most frustrating post about "bringing back red lipstick as an anti-fascism movement" - the male CEOs of every major cosmetics company would LOVE that. You wouldn't be sticking it to any fascists by conforming to sexist beauty standards. Save your money, save your time, and fight fascism by, you know, standing up to fascist leaders and policies. Don't buy lipstick.
Blue!
I too want to be friends with all the feminists in my phone, dms are always open :)))
Women's day coming up can't wait to answer "I'll be happy when you stop killing us" to all men who tell me "happy women's day!!!!"
One of the lowest points of the leftist/feminist cultural landscape in my country, posting because I'm still mad:
So-called feminist author (a woman) runs one of the most important independent book fairs in Italy.
Last year's edition was dedicated to a young woman who was killed by her former boyfriend.
Also last year, this author (a man) was invited while being accused of domestic violence by his former girlfriend - this was widely known at the time of the invite.
Before being found guilty, he revokes his participation from the fair. Some time later (days or few weeks, I think), the matter is taken to court, they find him guilty.
Condemned to 4 years (because domestic violence is a joke for courts).
The woman organising the fair goes to the press and says "it's a shame that he revoked his participation, I will still hold the event and I'll talk about his book instead of him"
Some days later she apologies, the apology is along the lines of "we hurt your feelings, we're sorry, we're going to replace his event with a panel on feminism".
She's considered one of the most prominent feminist intellectuals at the moment in Italy.
He was considered an ally and constantly praised by other so-called feminist women in intellectual spheres.
nonna didn't have time because she was shooting fascists <3
remember when as kids my male cousins would make fun of me for growing body hair before them and would get offended when I told them they were just jealous
I am once again asking for The Feminists in My Phone's blessing for my exam today
no girl, your full face of makeup with a vaguely unusual eyeshadow colour is not "men repellant", stop kidding yourself
