I just read an interesting isekai, harem uppermoons x reader (gender neutral) fanfic on ao3 called the awakening of the demon king by wholesome_sliced_bread and plot so far is amazing!

In a nutshell, reader found a dead Muzan and ate him and they became the Demon King. (I find this terribly disturbing and funny at the same time).

You were just a student but then you stumbled across Muzan’s corpse and nom nom nom. ✨ expensive mukbang ✨ You got isekaied to the Demon Slayer world. (I drew another version of reader for another fanfic— I’m not running out of ideas at this point. But I drew them female huhu I should’ve drawn them ambiguous.)

Since you became the Demon King, all of the demons under Muzan’s creation, especially the Twelve Kizuki are under your control.

The original story of Demon Slayer might change depending on Reader, who is a fan of Demon Slayer in the real world, meaning they know everything what will happen to the story, who dies and survives, and how the original story will end. The fate lies upon their hands.

I enjoyed the story so far. I recommend everyone to read it~

I really love Nakime and I can't wait to see her animated again in the next season, but she's so underrated 😔 And I think it would be so fun if, at the end of everything, Muzan stepped into the Infinity Castle and just went "Wtf happened??? Why does every room look different??? 😳"

In which Nakime has a demon s/o that changes buildings interiors.

You both look like polar opposites, which can be a bit confusing to other demons when visiting

Nakime appreciated your presence because originally, her world was dim, boxy and repetitive

But then you introduced lights, intricate wooden railings, and carvings

It brought the whole place alive, and Muzan learnt to accept your presence because you made the empty castle into a working headquarters

And you went leaps ahead, introducing libraries and collections for his research, stages for Nakime, galleries for Gyokko

Your prioritization was on making Nakime happy, so she always got the most intricate decorations and designs around her

In return, she would follow your ideas to improve the castle and let you watch as the entire dimension shifted

She also hides your personal rooms from any of the Upper Ranks as a bit of a favour

While she doesn't often use her words, Nakime is thankful to have someone in this dimension other than her superior

Plays full songs for you, and only you

I'd imagine that the clock chimes and any sounds other than the biwa were introduced by you to provide more of an atmosphere

Assuming she can't leave this dimension, she trusts you to bring humans in so she can hunt them down for you both

Likely part of the building, so she just soaks up any blood that falls on the floor?

. as the leader of apeiron, SIX is a very busy man. therefore, you would need to be patient and understanding towards him if he has a meeting or simply needs time alone.

. before the two of you started dating, six would have to warn you about his responsibilities, the chances that he may not be able to spend as much time with you as a lover should.

. six, unlike his peers, prefers to stay in his room and enjoy the solitude. at times, six will need his alone time to recharge his energy, but that does not mean that he dislikes your presence; there is a noticeable favoritism towards you.

. very rarely, he will invite you to stay in his room with him. talking, enjoying the silence, anything. it is a loving gesture to him, to simply sit in your presence and have you by his side. dealing with many people and the island's matters must be an exhausting thing for him, but luckily you are there to support him - and he is forever grateful towards you for that.

. speaking of his room, it's littered with books. when you're visiting, expect to see six sat down reading a book in his lap.

. in terms of LOVE LANGUAGES; six believes that you should contribute to all five. he does not lack in any certain love language, and wants to make sure that you feel as loved as he does in the relationship.

. though, i don't believe that six is too public in your relationship. he strikes me as the one that is more private about his relationships, but he does not mind if you are flashy about it. he wouldn't indulge in public displays of affection, but if you wanted to he could wrap an arm around you or hold your hand while you're walking around the island or the suitcase.

. kisses and more intimate displays are reserved for private places. he could opt for a short peck on the lips in public spaces, but not much else - he's a busy man after all, he has a reputation to uphold.

. he rarely calls you by a nickname - rather, just your name. if you're lucky, or if you directly ask him, he'd call you by basic terms of endearments such as darling, dear, etc.
