POV: Me being a Belphie stan/j
You know what?
All at once. All at the same time.
I don't care if it doesn't match.
I want ALL OF THEM ALL AT ONCE ALL AT THE SAME TIME UNTIL NOBODY ON THAT BROKEN BED IS ABLE TO MOVE.
Hello! Your writing is just mwah! Chiefs kiss. I was wondering if you would write headcanons for the uppermoons + muzan reacting to muzans SUPER smart 15 year old daughter winning a NOBEL PRIZE in physics (she graduated college at 8 years old.) Shes always really kind and sweet to the uppermoons and her favorites (besides her father) are akaza and douma. So shes running through the infinity castle yelling in excitement to anyone that will listen to her. She couldn't be happier, she runs into doumas arms screaming. But how would the uppermoons react? Are they proud? Perhaps impressed? Would her dad be happy for her?
I really hope you like this idea!!
MUZAN + THE UPPER MOONS REACTING TO YOU WINNING A NOBEL PRIZE VERY YOUNG (A.K.A LITTLE GENIUS)
-> Headcanons | Warnings; none, just the use of a fake name for the reader since Muzan goes undercover in the human society | a/n: bless you anon you've given me back motivation even just for one post 𫡠I hope you enjoy :) oh also daki and gyutaro aren't included but it's just because I don't think they would have reacted much lol
The king of demons, Muzan Kibutsuji, would have never found himself reading a newspaper until you came over running to him, holding one in your young, smart hands.
Seeing you rush to get to him, he'd glance at you, maybe even raise an eyebrow if he was intrigued, and go back to whatever he was doing as he awaits you (he just senses you kilometers away).
Even once you arrive at the lab, he'd still be working on his immortality potions without a care in the world.
You being excited and thrilled (as you should), you almost shove the newspaper in his face or hands, which forces him to take a break.
âDad! I have an announcement to make!â you'd smile brightly, a giddy feeling burning within you.
Despite being a step ahead of everyone in most cases, for once, he had no idea what you were about to say.
âAlright, care to enlighten me?â he had now stopped his fixation on his experiments a bit more to pay attention to the news you came to deliver.
Wordlessly, you point at the newspaper that had fallen onto his lap, making his gaze shift to it, reading the following headline: âY/N NAKAMURA, YOUNGEST PERSON TO RECEIVE A NOBEL PRIZE IN HISTORYâ
When he looks back at you, you're holding the Nobel prize in physics in your hand, full of anticipation as you search for a reaction behind those bloody eyes of his.
âPhysics I see,â as he scrutinizes the prize slowly, he knows how important this win is, for both you and him.
âYou've done well, this is a remarkable and respectable prize to receive. What did your thesis and research consist of?â
Whatever that may be, he's interested and listens carefully to your ramblings since he might find crucial information that may help in his experiments.
âWell, congratulations on the Nobel prize, I wouldn't have expected anything less from my daughter. I sense the upper moons aren't yet aware of your excitement, come back here in 5 minutes if you will.â
You know it wasn't really an âif you willâ situation with him (was it ever?) and more of a âyou leave nowâ one, so you just complied and exited his lab within the infinity castle, impatience battling your patience more harshly as the minutes passed.
At last, 5 minutes had passed and you got to get back inside, expecting your father to have moved his lab somewhere else, but instead, you see the uppermoons in different corners of the place, seemingly waiting for something to happen.
Muzan appears spontaneously, and you don't fail to notice how the upper moons tense up even the slightest bit at his appearance.
âMuzan-sama, as delightful and honored I am to be in your presence, may you enlighten us as to why we are united here today?â Doma, cheerful as always, inquired.
âYou are here to listen to quite the announcement, which my daughter will be making; I expect discipline of you.â
âWe will ensure that Muzan-sama,â Akaza replied.
Without another word, your father left and it was now your turn to enter. âUpper moons! Hello to you all.â
âKibutsuji-san, we hope you've been well,â Akaza bowed, tension now absent in the air.
Sighing playfully, you precise: âAkaza, I've already told you you can address me by my name, the honorifics and last name aren't necessary.â
I'm aware, but I refuse to go against Muzan-sama's will even in the most insignificant ways possible,â he answered, smiling a bit so that you wouldn't take any offense to his words, although you hadn't in the first place.
âYour father addressed an announcement you had to make?â Kokushibo questioned, earning a dramatic gasp from Doma.
âCome on Kokushibo-san, I haven't even had the opportunity to greet my favorite little demon yet!â
Simply eyeing him with his 6 eyes, he turned his head and let him talk.
âMy, my! It's been far too long since we've last seen y/n, how have you been?â
What manages to catch them all off guard is a smile forming on your face, and you running right into Doma's arms to embrace him, screaming with joy. They'd heard a lot of screams before, but this really startled them, making Hantengu squirm (although, no one really cared).
âDoma! Guess what, I won an incredible thing today!â you cheered, pulling away to face the others too.
Amused, he pats your head and asks: âI'm sure you did, but what may that be?â
âI won the Nobel prize in physics!â
A silence ensues within the upper moons, mainly of shock and surprise. Gyokko finds himself speaking up first: âThat's quite unexpected, but nonetheless expected from Muzan-sama's brilliant daughter; my deepest congratulations.â
Doma's lips spread into a wide smirk, rainbow eyes sparkling from the news: âI knew it! I always knew how much potential flowed in you, and I was always sure you'd continue Muzan-sama's impressive legacy. Not only are you physically strong, but your intelligence even goes beyond all imagination⌠You're quite the jewel! See Akaza-dono, I knew it from the very beginning when she was born, I told you she'd grow to become a talented and skilled demon.â
Akaza doesn't even glance at him, instead opting to take a few steps closer to you and smile: âI'm sure your father must have told you already, but you've accomplished an amazing thing by winning this honorable prize Kibutsuji-san. We're proud of you for leading your research to such success this way, especially so young, and even if I'm afraid this stupid upper moon two has overlooked that aspect I just want to assure you we've heard and admire you.â
Kokushibo, stoic as ever, adds: âIt is indeed remarkable, congratulations.â while Doma, furious, literally starts to scold Akaza who couldnât care less.
Overall, they're impressed someone so young managed to win a Nobel Prize and their respect for you has since increased drastically, and whenever they find themselves confused or curious about something related to your research you bet youâll be the first person theyâll turn to for answers.Â
Theyâre twice as happy knowing your win has appeased Muzan and knowing a demon has yet again proved to be equal and perhaps âsuperiorâ to humans.
I just read an interesting isekai, harem uppermoons x reader (gender neutral) fanfic on ao3 called the awakening of the demon king by wholesome_sliced_bread and plot so far is amazing!
In a nutshell, reader found a dead Muzan and ate him and they became the Demon King. (I find this terribly disturbing and funny at the same time).
You were just a student but then you stumbled across Muzanâs corpse and nom nom nom. ⨠expensive mukbang ⨠You got isekaied to the Demon Slayer world. (I drew another version of reader for another fanficâ Iâm not running out of ideas at this point. But I drew them female huhu I shouldâve drawn them ambiguous.)
Since you became the Demon King, all of the demons under Muzanâs creation, especially the Twelve Kizuki are under your control.
The original story of Demon Slayer might change depending on Reader, who is a fan of Demon Slayer in the real world, meaning they know everything what will happen to the story, who dies and survives, and how the original story will end. The fate lies upon their hands.
I enjoyed the story so far. I recommend everyone to read it~
Allow me to hit you with.. what might be considered to be a hot-take but.. is actually supported by canon evidence and parallels..
Now why in the world would I think that? Everyone is always talking about the parallels between nezuko and michikatsu and yoriichi and tanjiro.. I mean tanjiro IS yoriichis successor after all, isn't he? Until a few months ago I never had a mind to question this narrative..
That was until I came across an official illustration book that made me halt in my tracks..
I just had to take a minute to appreciate the artwork featuring kokushibo (for obvious reasons) that is when I realised something..
Let's take a look at yoriichis, kokushibos and tanjiros respective demon slayer marks..
Because surely that can't be..
Oh it is. It very much is. Tanjiros demon slayer mark is NOT like yoriichis. It's like kokushibos. I was willing to let it go before - chalking it up to tanjiros mark perhaps not being fully-fledged out on the illustration (since it does have different visual stages)
But then.. when I was reviewing kokushibos official fanbook page.. I noticed: THIS
'His neck and face have marks resembling flames like tanjiro has'
TANJIRO. Michikatsus demon slayer mark looks like TANJIROS, tanjiros demon slayer mark is a canonical parallel to KOKUSHIBO not. Yoriichi.
And THAT got me thinking about other similarities and parallels that kokushibo and tanjiro could possibly have:
1) Tanjiro is the older sibling. -> Just like michikatsu, tanjiro is the eldest, the one who was to carry forth the legacy of his family JUST LIKE MICHIKATSU. Tanjiros legacy being hinukami kagura, michikatsus legacy being bringing honour to his clan/family
2) hard-working. Neither of them had the supernatural cheat code that yoriichi had (born with the demon slayer mark, breathing was literally already sun breathing, constant access to the see through world, core strength to back up his abilities even as a kid -> the analysis we have kid michikatsu to thank for btw )
Sun breathing DID NOT come natural to tanjiro, he had to work hard and he struggled with adapting it for a long time (during the entertainment district arc he literally has to use a mixture of water and sun breathing because he couldn't handle sun breathing on its own yet) meanwhile michikatsu literally practiced so hard until his hands literally bled. They're both undeniably hard workers who got to the point that they are now through discipline and rigour.
3) both are slapped on the cheek due to their kindness that is considered as weak
Michikatsu: michikatsu was slapped because he was caught playing with yoriichi although their father had explicitly forbidden him from interacting with yoriichi. At that point in time michikatsu also believed his brother to have been deaf so.. the fact that he had still sought yoriichi out despite his father's orders? It is extremely kind of him. He gets punished for his kindness
Tanjiro: tanjiro gets slapped because he fails at killing the demon and the demon ends up dying due to the sun. Urukodaki slaps tanjiro because in his eyes, tanjiros kindness is weak and that he is not fit to become a demon slayer.
Both instances take place at the start of both of their journeys.
4) due to their status as older siblings both kokushibo and tanjiro have a deep sense of responsibility. Not just for their younger siblings (tanjiros care for nezuko is very well-known and kokushibo canonically calls yoriichi one of his 'obligations') but also in general.
5) both are connected to muichiros character development and growth. It is tanjiros eyes that remind muichiro of his father's eyes and tanjiro who returns the light to muichiros eyes as well as his memories.
About tanjiros eyes looking like the eyes of muichiros father? Where do you think muichiros father got those eyes from, hmm? Not yoriichi that's for sure. Yoriichi never had kids. Muichiros fathers eyes look like michikatsus eyes (when michikatsu was just a small child)
It is also kokushibo that connects muichiros recovered memories to muichiros legacy by revealing their relation.
6) tanjiros eyes are subtly expressive and alive... just like michikatsus. Yoriichis eyes are known for their oftentimes empty characteristic and tanjiro wears his heart on his face, especially in his eyes... just how michikatsus/kokushibos feelings can be discerned through his eyes
7) they both keep their respective 'social' circles in line
Tanjiro is often the voice of reason in his chaotic friend group
Just as kokushibo is often the voice of reason/the one keeping things running smoothly and ensuring that the upper moons uphold and respect the hierarchy
8) they are both characterised by how highly adaptive they are in battle and how flexible they are when it comes to changing strategies. Now, yoriichi is obviously very good at this as well but he does this on an intuitive, instinctual level whilst tanjiro and kokushibo consciously execute this.
I could probably come up with even more parallels but I think I have brought my point across, no?
Y'all, I need serious help. Like I said, I'm planning a book for my Spirit Hashira Y/N
I can't decide on a backstory.
I'm stuck between:
Immortal rich (I mean RICH, like RICH RICH, like *casually drops a million dollars for fun on spoiling her friends*) girl with immortal siblings and they always have this dumb rivalry to prove whose better (trying to kill each other)
Some quotes from number 1: "Damn, I almost don't want to kill you, you're kind of cute."
"He would kill you if he got the chance." "But he's hot."
"You look better when your hair's long, and you look ugly with that fedora, take it off."
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?! That's the Demon King you're talking to!"
"Psh! Don't be silly, he couldn't touch me if he tried. And besides, I'm trying to help him! He needs some constructive criticism. If he's blending in with the humans, he needs to at least look good doing it, or there's no point. But, never mind, looking stupid does make you blend in more."
2. The one where she has a twin brother and she's lived too long, the one where the Hashiras saved her, etc.
"Oh my god! Are you alright, sir?"
"I don't think you should do that, but alright."
"We will get to the bottom of this, I promise you that much."
Quiet humans are not defective. Loud humans are not defective. Unless there is a significant change, assume your human is operating at normal levels.
Human words do not mean the same thing all the time. Look up the study of human tone if you want to always know what your human means.
Human females will smell of blood each month. If this changes, ask your human in private if something happened.
Human males often do not know how loud they are. Asking them to lower their voice is not offensive.
Human cultures vary greatly and various cultures have conflicting beliefs. Most humans will not be offended if you cannot keep up with this.
Humans do not share a hive mind but do have several musical triggers that activate a human chorus. These triggers transcend most cultural and language barriers.
All Stabby units come with a human locator setting. Use liberally.
Ask for a detailed explanation before agreeing to join a human on any non work activity.
Be aware of human hobbies and skills. Humans enjoy company and will likely teach you whatever they know. It is also beneficial to know what your human may do should they get bored.
Do not be too concerned over what humans ingest, so long as they do so willingly and with the full knowledge of what they are ingesting.
Unless you hear a human say something along the lines of âI hope this worksâ or âhere goes nothingâ, assume they have a working knowledge at the attempted task.
If you hear a human say one of the above phrases, take cover as it is likely too late to stop or report them.
A Telmurian is walking around the promenade on the station, talking to their family on their pad.
What was that? Your signal is pretty weak. Oh! Yes, they have humans here.
I know. Their planet has a really big moon, they wonât stop telling everyone they meet. Yes, they told me about it at least three times. I saw the photos, itâs pretty big I guess.
Yes, theyâre strong. I remember the time that human from the helm picked up two Sefigans and carried them around on his arms. I didnât tell her, but I was impressed. Why didnât I tell her? I donât know.
They also have odd thought processes. Remember that story about the one that learned that the water filters were the same as the outer compensator on the FlashWarp drive? They still teach us to check other parts for commonalities like that. The Sefigans are building a whole reference of parts that can be exchanged for other parts.
They walk around, oblivious to everyone else on the promenade. A Gren glares at them, and clacks their mouthparts irritatedly. They are speaking loudly. They walk on, oblivious to the disruption they are causing.
I didnât call you to talk about any of that stuff.
I just learned about their âfood.â
Did you know they donât have a specific food? They donât have one or two or even three items that they consider food, they have hundreds.
Maybe even thousands.
They stop and stare out a window and are silent for a few moments.
Not only that, but they combine them in so many different ways. Even wilder, they have modifiers to their food. Can you believe it? They have things that arenât technically food that they add to food to make it âtasteâ different. Theyâre called spices or seasonings.
I know! Have you ever heard of such a thing?
They have this thing called âtaste.â Itâs a whole sense for them! Itâs what enables them to try and test foods and discover ones they like and reject ones they donât like.
I have a hard time with it, to be honest. Imagine, food you donât like. Itâs food right? By its very definition itâs something you consume to survive.
They clack their wing covers together, like a sigh. A Sefigan sitting at a cafe near them makes a gesture, like theyâre trying to shoo them away.
Not for the humans I guess. They have whole careers, whole philosophies, maybe even whole religions about food and its preperation.
I read about the first time some humans came onboard a Coalition ship. They asked where the kitchen was and when we said âthe whatâ it was like you unplugged them. They just stood there with their mouths full of their scary sharp teeth open in surprise.
I imagine we had a similar face the first time they showed us a kitchen. Imagine, a whole room, a whole part of the ship that was turned over to their pursuit of food.
Thatâs another thing! They can get bored of food. Whoever heard of such a thing. Itâs food! You eat it, you feel full, you continue with your day. Thatâs like⌠like being bored of breathing.
Have I tried any of it? I mean, so much of it is straight up poisonous to us. No, youâre right, some of it isnât.
All right fine. Yes. I tried one. There was this one, it was something they called a cookie. It was made of something like ten ingredients all in very precise measurements, then mixed together and shaped into balls and cooked at a high temperature. How did they ever come up with that?
The cookie? I donât know, it was fine I guess. I didnât get sick. I guess I canât taste like they can it wasnât much of anything, just food. I didnât want to hurt their feelings so I said I liked it. They gave me four more! I didnât know what to do with them. Theyâre still in my room.
Okay, yes, I love you too. Tell the rest of the crèche I said good evening.
They disconnect the call and look up. Thereâs a group of humans sitting down at a human style cafe eating. One of them looks up at them. Their large wet eyes seem impossibly deep. In the corner of them, wetness wells.
âYou didnât like the cookies?â
