How To Tell Your Cat That You Could Walk To His Food Faster If He Weren't Weaving Under Your Fucking Feet In A Beautiful And Intricate Idiot's Ballet
I'm still reeling from Good Omens 2 — and I'm not talking about the cliffhanger.
No, I'm talking about the plot.
The whole "something terrible is going to happen" thing with Gabriel in the beginning made it seem like this season was going to go like season 1 did — Armageddon, take 2.
And then when the season ended I was so distracted by the cliffhanger that it never really processed for me that this entire season was... Well.
Whereas season 1 was about stopping the Apocalypse, season 2 was entirely about romance, and only romance.
From what I can recall, there were three main storylines driving the plot in season 2:
1.) Maggie and Nina's love story.
2.) Gabriel and Beelzebub's love story.
3.) Crowley and Aziraphale's love story.
Even if it didn't seem that way at first, it was revealed in the end that everything that had happened had to do with someone's romance.
Naked amnesiac Gabriel showing up at the bookstore? That only happened because he fell in love with Beelzebub and got himself fired, only to run away before they could steal his memories of falling in love with them.
This whole season was about trying to find out what happened to Gabriel (love, love is what happened), trying to get Nina to fall in love with Maggie, and Crowley coming to terms with the fact that he is in love with Aziraphale, and then eventually working up the courage to act on that love.
And that's not even mentioning the minisodes which were basically telling us the story of how Crowley and Aziraphale fell in love!
This entire season was centered around romance, and only romance!
Season 2 of Good Omens was literally a Love Story — I can't believe it, can you?!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU so much, Mr. Neil Gaiman!
Never before would I have guessed that season 2 would end up like this... I know we're all sad about how things left off with Crowley and Aziraphale, but there's not nearly enough appreciation going around for how we were even able to get to that point in the first place!
Everyone say,
And let's not forget David Tennant (Crowley) and Michael Sheen (Aziraphale) who played these hopelessly in love idiots so well!
grown men who'd cry over Club Penguin getting shutdown

THIS!!! THIS!!!! Durge and Wyll are so cute and so poetic anD IT NEEDS TO BE SAID MORE!!!
aside from everything else about durgewyll I am loving how it highlights wyll and gortash as narrative foils. both their upbringings lead them to interact with demoniac entities, both can only become archdukes and join baldurian high society through uldred, both are swaying the dark urge from simply following bhaal (and arguably the dark urge sways them from simply pursuing an ideal and the dark urge can recognise both as their equal) and by playing your card right in act 3 wyll just...gets everything gortash was trying to get? wyll really is a hero saving baldur's gate from the legion of the absolute. wyll influences gortash's favourite assassin into becoming someone they can defeat the netehrbrain together. they can even become archdukes together! ...or they can turn it down and then they can go to he hells to sneak around and have adventures (like gortash and durge used to) and save karlach's life (the same life that is at risk because gortash mindlessly threw it away).
like. it's a lot, wyll and durge can even murder raphael.
Sorry not the best at writing but this idea has been stuck in my mind.(loosely based on a few other post's as well)
Imagine humans have been in space for a bit and are a well recognized specie's.
One of are most interesting things is that we look almost identical to another species who looks very similar to humans younglings. It's also known that this similar species struggling with being able to actually get pregnant or give birth. So younglings are very few in-between and fiercely protected and loved by they're entire race.
Just to also add more to this.
This species is a lot bigger and heavier then humans.
But here's the actual scenario. There's a crew in space and two of the look a likes and a teenage human start to bond over time. And the reason why the teenage human is in space because there parents didn't care and the look a likes start to develop a almost parental bond with the human.
And one day the look a likes see a class about humans and decide to take it to learn more about there human crewmate. And are horrified to learn that there companion even in humans terms are still considered a child. And after the class rush to find the human and ask if the class is true and are even more horrified to learn it is.
And so the look a likes decide to take over the parental roles for there human youngling. The human is oblivious at first but eventually catch on and honestly is over joyed to learn this.
I just think it'd make a really neat found family story :]
