please do not force an lgbt label onto anne frank. she died before she had the chance to explore her sexuality and if you need to think of her as lgbt to have empathy for her you need to reconsider how you think of holocaust victims. please do not vilify her father, a man who lost his entire family in the holocaust, for censoring the parts in anne’s diary where she expresses attraction for women. it was 1947. jewish girls were already seen as hypersexual. he was protecting her legacy as best he could, and you have no right to call him a villain for wanting what was period-typical best for his late daughter.
if you ever think this fandom is dying just make a post supporting cherry and watch at least 5 blogs rise from their ashes to remind you that she did not wave to ponyboy

tonight i’m thinking about severus snape and all of his sacrifices. the strange relationship he had with harry for years of loathing yet caring. harry, the son of his one true love. the way he watched over him all for her. he cared for her so much deep down that he was willing to protect her child with another man. harry & snape were connected in missing her. that’s how he knew the doe plan would work. he would trust and follow the patronus because it felt like her.
There’s really nothing quite like when you go to the cinema to see a new Star Wars film, and there’s that moment when the STAR WARS title comes up on the screen and you hear the first notes of the theme.
There truly are no words to describe that feeling.
not to talk about Harry Potter too much again but Snape's redemption is "do not use that word!" it's balancing his cover as a participant in Voldemort's regime to prevent an actual Death Eater being placed in charge of Hogwarts with his duty to protect his students - and doing so successfully. it's hearing Harry's coded message that his nemesis is in trouble and alerting the Order. it's hearing Ginny's that Harry needs the sword of Gryffindor and risking his cover to send it to him anyway. it's that he's able to produce a Patronus despite all the darkness he is surrounded with. it's him aiming spells like Sectumsempra at his old students on the battlefield and missing vital areas. it's him having to watch the corpse of one of his colleagues being devoured by a giant snake without displaying an emotional reaction.
it's the reader understanding that a large basis of his character is supposed to be formed out of relative poverty, isolation and abuse. it's the reader finding out that he spent the best part of his adult life as a spy, lying to Lord Voldemort, which is meant to be impossible. anyway if you think that you were meant to forgive/feel sorry for Snape because he loved Lily Evans (or worse, because he wanted to have sex with Lily Evans) then you can't read and that's on you
