PROCESSING YOUR EMOTIONS WITHOUT SUPPRESSING THEM - TECHNIQUES
this post is all about how to process emotions that we are uncomfortable with, safely and positively. Today, I’d like it if you’d try to implement at least one technique today!
REMINDERS
Remember that when you feel an emotion, it is your body communicating itself to you. Listen to your emotion, and understand.
All emotions are temporary, and will pass. But some can leave a more long term effect on us.
Having the skill of sitting through uncomfortable emotions calmly, and not let it impact our lives greatly will serve you well.
TECHNIQUES
STOP TECHNIQUE
S- Stop what you’re doing, pause all activities and shut off your brain.
T- Take a few deep breathes, continue until your focus is only on breathing deeply.
O- Observe your thoughts, your body language, any physical sensations and acknowledge them within you.
P- Proceed with any activity that may help you process this emotion. Meditation, journaling, stretching, talking to someone, etc.
ALL TECHNIQUE
A- Acknowledge, accept and alllow what you feel. Identify what emotion you feel, if you can’t, try to associate it with something. Sit in this feeling for awhile and truly accept it within you.
L- Link it to a circumstance or situation that may explain why you’re feeling this way. E.g ‘I feel so irritated lately, it may be because I’ve been eating sugary foods more’
L- Learn what this emotion may be telling you. There’s not much detail on this because only you know what your body needs/wants.
SELF EXPRESSION
Draw, write, compose music on what this feeling looks like, sounds like, maybe even their taste. This really helps go deep in your emotions, analyse it and then hopefully process it.

Day nine : Siddhidatri | सिद्धिदात्री
Purest form of energy
Siddhadhatri is pure energy-the first and purest form of energy. Modern science has only recently understood the concept of pure energy! She was formless but Shiva supplicated her and she became Adi Shakti. In her Parvati attained her supreme form as a complete manifestation of Mahashakti or the primeval power.
Siddhi means supernatural power and dhatri means the giver. So she is the sole source of all power-both material and spiritual. She is capable of giving us all the eight siddhis-ashta siddhis or supernormal powers.
Mantra for the day:

In the beginning of the universe Lord Rudra worshipped Adyashakti for creation. It is believed that Goddess Adyashakti had no form. The supreme Goddess of Power, appeared in the form of Siddhidatri from the left half of Lord Shiva.
She is the Goddess who possesses and bestows all type of Siddhis to her devotees. Even Lord Shiva got all Siddhis by grace of Goddess Siddhidatri. She is worshipped by not only humans but also by Deva, Gandharva, Asura, Yaksha and Siddha. Lord Shiva got the title of Ardha-Narishwar when Goddess Siddhidatri appeared from his left half.
Celebrating the Navratri on it's ninth night in honor of every women who is a Mother, companion, a daughter, a sister , a family member ,a friend or a colleague who in some way or other share the part of your life and help you picture the world in better way . Mahagauri is the eighth form of Adi Parashakti. Worshipped on the eighth day of Navratri, she represents the fundamental nature of the divine feminine—nurturing mother, who is extremely pious and serene.

Seven days are passed and here we are together on 8th day of Navratri dancing worshipping adoring our Maa Durga with all the love and devotion in our heart and tears in our eyes .
As much as we know she always here with her blessings for us , this ritual of Navratri festival has left us to be with her in this season for just one more day .
She is going to stay we all know SHE WILL , yet tears starts rolling down the moment we think of visarjan. So leaving that thought aside Tonight we will celebrate with all the happiness in our heart protecting her blessings and love tenderly in our heart and that Smile of Jagdambaa so bright that it will remove all the sorrows from our life and our heart .
This night we celebrate with color of peace , purity and wisdom . Color of Maa Saraswati's Drape , White and we seek blessings of Maa Durga in all her forms as Saraswati as Mahagauri as Ambaa .
MahaAshtami holds a great significance in every Indian culture which celebrates Durga Parv , and here's a glimpse of Bangali ( mainly) culture and celebration of Maha Ashtaami, which starts from Mahalaya ( one week before Shashthi ) To Shashti .
On the day of Amavasya, the day prior to the first day of Navratri people celebrate this Mahalaya day where people com together and Chant Mahishasura Mardini Stotram. It is believed that Goddess descended on this earth on this auspicious day, known as Chokkhudaan and artisans paint the eyes of the Goddess on this day and bring the idol to the sunlight.
Bodhon, the invocation of Goddess Durga, holds a pivotal place in Durga Puja rituals. On the evening of "Shashthi," Bodhon, which involves revealing the countenance of the Goddess and awakening her, is conducted. This ritual symbolizes a formal invitation to the annual celebration.
Nabapatrika Snan
On Saptami, the seventh day of Durga Puja, nine symbolic plants are ritually bathed in the Ganga River or other bodies of water. These nine leafy tokens, tied together, represent the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga. After their sanctifying bath, the Nabapatrika is adorned with a crimson saree and embellished with vermilion. It is then respectfully placed on a beautifully adorned pedestal, typically positioned to the right of Lord Ganesha. Subsequently, the Nabapatrika is venerated with sandalwood paste, flowers, and incense before being positioned.
All these rituals Are observed till saptami and And On MahaAshatami , While Pushpanjali, an offering of flowers, is made on all days of the puja, Durga Ashtami holds the utmost sanctity for offering Anjali to Goddess Durga. On Ashtami, Kumari Puja is performed, During Kumari Puja, the young girl is seated on a special pedestal, and her feet are washed as mantras are recited in reverence to Goddess Durga.
Sandhi Puja holds immense significance in the Durga Puja celebrations, conducted at the precise juncture where Ashtami ends and Navami begins.
Dhunuchi Naach
As one enters a Durga Puja pandal in the evening, the ambiance is filled with the resonant beats of the dhak, the aroma of incense sticks, and the mesmerizing spectacle of Dhunuchi Naach.
Offering or Bhog includes Khichuri , Bhaja , Labra , Tamater chatny , And Paayesh . At some places Kanya Poojan is observed on Navmi tithi as well
These days and events are followed by Sindur Khela And Visarjan on Dashmi . Which commence the auspicious "Bijoya " a period that extends till Diwali celebration 🌼
And thus with all those beautiful rituals this navratri parv mark the presence of AdyaShakti Maa Jagdamba in our life for whole year with her Blessings always with us .

Naavratri group 2023 is thankful to all of you for your constant support and encouragement for our efforts during this navratri festival too and tonight on seventh day of Navratri Mahotsav we worship Maa Jagdamba as Maa Kaalratri and welcome everyone who celebrate this day as mahasaptami and We welcome maa Saraswati as the goddess of wisdom peace art and knowledge with her utmost protection for our soul and mind and body .
Maa kaalratri is the most fearsome goddess and considered the most firece one in all forms of durga as everyone says but
She is fierce just like a storm or flood when lands get too dirty , nature clears it up . Like a force necessary to awaken the soul within human body . Like a pain required to realise we are not dead , like Medicine or Surgery ; bitter in taste or difficult to survive but required to Live life disease free . Like A death to ego and past to bring regeneration. Like anger to bring calmness when expressed.
Like night necessary to welcome morning, like dark so that we appreciate the light we have . Like Wisdom So to get rid of ignorance.
Like Force of destruction or death required for new birth , and achieving sustainability.
So tonight Along with her shade as Dark as as night we celebrate the festival with color of peace as shades of purple and violet

Maa Katyayani—Slayer of Mahishasur
ऋषि कात्यायन सुता माँ दुर्गा कात्यायनी के नाम से सुप्रसिद्ध हैं। भू लोक को आतंकित करने वाले दुष्ट असुर महिषासुर का वध कर विश्व को भय के चक्रव्यूह से बाहर निकालने वाली माता कात्यायनी फिर महिषासुर मर्दिनी के नाम से सुविख्यात हुई।
कात्यायनी महामाये, महायोगिन्यधीश्वरी।
नन्दगोपसुतं देवी, पति मे कुरु ते नमः।।
Much like Mahishasur, may the Warrior Goddess slay our ignorance and ego. May she bless us with wisdom and valor, so that we can lead the path of dharma with no darkness of terror in our hearts. May she forever shower us with her love and protect us from any evil.

Day Six: Maa Katyayani
Once there lived a sage called Katyayana who prayed to the goddess to be born as his child in order to kill Mahishasura. She agreed and was born as his daughter and thus was called Katyayani. When the gods invoked Mahashakti – the primordial feminine power to protect them from the demon, Mahisha, she emerged from the sacrificial fire of the sage Katyayan. All the male gods bestowed their special powers and weapons on her. She is the avatara of Parvati in the form of the warrior goddess and is one of the most well-known and beloved of her forms.
Riding a lion, she proceeded towards the Vindhya mountains where the demon lived and killed him. Hence, she is also known as Mahishasuramardini.

It’s Mahalaya,
Our Mother’s journey to Earth begins.
The year was 1555. Portuguese colonial power was at its peak in the 1500’s. They destroyed Zamorins of Calicut. Defeated the Sultan of Bijapur. Took away Daman from the Sultan of Gujarat, Established a colony in Mylapore, Captured Bombay and made Goa as their headquarters. And while they were at it, pretty much unchallenged, they even ruined the ancient Kapaleeswarar Temple to build a Church over it.
Their next target, the super profitable port of Mangalore.
Their only bad luck, just 14 kilometers south of Mangalore was the small settlement of Ullal - ruled then by a feisty 30 year old woman - RANI ABBAKKA CHOWTA
Initially, they took her lightly and sent a few boats and soldiers to capture and bring her back to Goa - Those boats never came back.
Shocked and enraged, they sent a huge fleet of ships this time, under the command of much celebrated Admiral Dom Álvaro da Silveira - The admiral soon returned, badly injured and empty handed.
Thereafter, another Portuguese fleet was sent - only a few injured from the crew managed to make it back.
Then the Portuguese went on to capture the Mangalore port and the fort anyways, perhaps planning to tackle Rani Abbakka Chowta from the convenient distance of the Mangalore fort.
After the successful capture of Mangalore, a huge army under João Peixoto, an experienced Portuguese General was sent to Ullal.
The brief was simple: Subjugate Ullal and capture Abbakka Chowta.
The plan was foolproof- there was no way a 30 year old lady with a few men could withstand the might of an army of thousands with advanced weapons.
The Portuguese reached Ullal and found it deserted. Abbakka was nowhere in sight.
They roamed around, relaxed and thanked their stars - Just when they were about to call it a victory - Mrs Chowta attacked with 200 of her chosen men - there was chaos all around and many portuguese lost their lives even without a fight
General João Peixoto was assassinated, 70 Portuguese were captured and the rest just ran away.
So if you’re Abbakka Chowta, who’s just defeated a large army of aggressors, killed a general, captured fighters and defended her city - What will you do?
- Rest and enjoy the moment right?
- Right?
- No!
Rani Abbakka Chowta, rode with her men towards Mangalore that same night, and laid a siege of the Mangalore fort - She not just broke inside the fort successfully - but assassinated Admiral Mascarenhas the Chief of the Portuguese power there and forced the remaining Portuguese to vacate the fort.
She didn’t just stop at this but went on to even capture the Portuguese settlement at Kundapura, a full 100 kms, north of Mangalore - Just to make a point.
The Portuguese finally managed to get back at Abbakka Chowta by convincing her estranged husband, to betray for money. She was arrested and put in the prison where she revolted again and was killed while trying to escape.
Abbakka Chowta was a Jain who fought against the Portuguese for four decades, with an army comprising of both Hindus and Muslims, a full 300 years before the First War of Indian Independence in 1857.
What did we Indians do to her, as a mark of our respect and gratitude? - We just forgot her.
We didn’t name our girls after her. We didn’t even teach her stories to our kids.
Yes we did release a Postal Stamp in her name, named a boat after her and erected 2 statues - yes just 2 statues in the whole of India for someone who should be our national hero.
The Indian Coast Guard ship ICGS Rani Abbakka the 1st of a series of five inshore patrol vessels built at Hindustan Shipyard Ltd is named after Abbakka Mahadevi.
We might have got to read a chapter about her in our text books, had she been a European or an American.
Many talk about her being the last Indian to have the power of the agni-ban. In all this cacophony, our generation has lost a great hero - a great source of inspiration.

Day Three: Chandraghanta | चन्द्रघण्टा
Chandraghanta represents Parvati on her wedding day. Parvati was given this title by Mahadeva himself, due to her wish to have Chandra, the Moon God, adorn her forehead, as her Lord was adorned by the crescent moon upon his crown of matted locks, giving rise to his name Chandrashekhara.
Her fierce form is capable of destroying obstacles both on the inner path as well as the outside world. Her devotees easily achieve success in life. She bestows divine vision on them. Sometimes they hear divine fragrances and sounds.
