i rewatched sherlock gnomes with my pal last night, and i noticed a background bit where Moriarty straight up pounces on sherlock, and i thought that was the funniest shit ever for some reason.

more doodles as promised. guys would you hate me if i said i actually really like the 15th doctor. like i know there are better ones and his acting isn't the best but i really do like him. anyway

my favorite dynamics in sherlock gnomes/ foreshadowing

when sherlock finds the clue with a nine on it, then says "a nine with a crack in it's leg." then sherlock later gets kicked in the leg LMAO.

"come dance with me, sherlock."

"moriarty.. come dance with me."

obviously.

the parallels between gnomeo & juliet + sherlock and watson. both gnomeo and watson are taken for granted by their partner, while juliet and sherlock are both so focused on other things (the garden, and moriarty) that they completely forget about their partner.

the references to elton john with tiny dancer. also the part where benny's like "ok, tiny d" and gnomeo says "don't call me tiny d." LIKE LMAO

also, a lot of movies try to straightwash villians that are VERY fruity (cough cough the joker) but like. they don't. at all. literally the rainbow text in moriarty's evil plan???? the rainbow sunglasses in the screensaver??? what an icon.

So I just watched Sherlock Gnomes today (on HBO Go) and I think I may have found a new comfort character

This guy. This deranged plastic pie man who's basically just James Moriarty from the OG Sherlock Holmes franchise. I like his voice, design, personality, facial expressions, EVERYTHING (mainly his voice). I love him but at the same time I have the urge to just punt him like a football (or play with him the same way a dog aggressively plays with a chew toy)

Overall, I actually like this movie. I never saw it before (until now) and I only saw Gnomeo and Juliet and I think it's safe to say that I think this is even better than the movie that came before it (especially since it has better lighting and animation and it's not just lovey dovey romance and Elton John songs)
