I want it known that any new or returning BillFord fans are herefore legally obligated to read THE BillFord bible, Knowing Me Knowing You by f_imaginings on archiveofourown.

It is a 900,000 word long epic (and still going, by the way!) that documents a slow burn through pre-canon before moving into our disastrous current canon, with an absolutely mesmerizing amount of attention to detail and character writing. It's genuinely THE BillFord fic to me, has been since I was a child who was probably too young to be reading it (beware: smut! both with a more humanised Bill AND his triangular 2D form) and it'd be a legitimate crime to not have more people read it.

Highkey one of the funniest parts of Gravity Falls is how obnoxiously close they come to revealing Ford’s existence in the early seasons but never do out of just. Cosmic levels of dumb luck

Episode 1 Stan nearly catches Dipper with the journal and it’s passed off as a gag about Gold Chains for Old Men magazine. In Time Travellers Pig they go back to the Shack 30 years in the past and miss Ford opening the door on them by literal seconds. In bottomless pit Mabel gives him a set of truth teeth that make him incapable of lying and he tells the twins TO THEIR FACES that he regularly commits massive tax fraud and if they had asked him to elaborate he would’ve told them who he was impersonating. In one of the shorts Dipper and Soos find a sentient omniscient mailbox that will answer any question in the universe, and right before they can ask it who wrote the journals Mabel shows it a video of herself snorting gummy worms and it kills itself out of disgust. The entirety of Dreamscaperers is them delving into the depths of Stan’s psyche, going through his memories, all while fighting his brother’s ex-boyfriend and it somehow just. Doesn’t come up. Bill never mentions him. Their grandpa Shermie never said anything. Their parents never said anything. Either the universe was conspiring to cover it up or they are genuinely all that oblivious

Here so many Alternate Ending of MrBillPines AU after they retired Route (almost all of this is ppl headcanon that I really like)

Route #1 : " Happily ever after" (ford be Immortal with bill and continue their traveling)

Route #2 : "Weirdmegaddon" ( ford died )

Route #3 : "Move On" (bill continue his life after ford died)

Route #4 : "Anywhere you go I'll go" (Bill go inside ford mind in the last moment and died within it)

Route #5 : " Ill be lower for you" (bill be a mortal for Ford)

Route #6 : "Everything here is dead" (bill cursed Ford without consent and give him reason to live by destrying his dimensions)

Route #7 : "I trust you too much" (ford kill Bill so they can die together and no potential of Bill destroying his dimensions after he gone)

Route #8 : "Death is not a options" (bill put ford soul into a machine and be with it)

Route #9 : "fated" (Bill meet the reincarnation of Ford after a thousands of years after his death )

The only One Of Us au I can really see happening is Ford agreeing to Bill's deal only to demand the Milky Way galaxy, and to be allowed to finish living his human life before he goes with Bill. Which is only what? Twenty, thirty years? Yeah sure, have fun, seeya soon Sixer.

There's no clothing swap. Instead, Ford is the one agreeing to the deal. He reaches his hand out to shake, but just before Bill grabs it he snatches it back.

"But first- my price. You want that equation? Well I seem to remember you offering me my own galaxy. You give me the Milky Way, and I'll tell you how to leave Gravity Falls."

The tight writing in Gravity Falls just gets crazier and crazier because Alex Hirsch in the director’s commentary of Dipper & Mabel vs. the Future (11:25) says:

“Ford sees Dipper as someone who’s special like himself. That’s Ford’s great flaw, is arrogance. Is he believes that there’s special people, and everyone else. That human attachments are actually weaknesses. And the song and dance that he’s giving Dipper right now, is the song and dance that he gave McGucket, back when they were younger… ‘You and me are different, we’re better than everyone else. We have a path that no one else can understand, and only us can do this.’ It’s a very seductive idea for Dipper… Dipper is a smart kid, but Ford’s projecting. Ford loves Dipper because he sees someone who’ll tell him ‘yes’ to everything. Who’ll never challenge him, who’ll do a really insane dangerous mission.”

So, the whole thing took me a week of work, but with a lot of determination, hyperfixation (the ones where you forget you're a human, you know the ones), and energy drinks, you can do anything.
