gentlemen, what if I proposed a cheesy bratva au... but with dames??!!!! in the 80s??!!!!
look, I know the mafia/mobster au is popular and it's all been done before but where are the women!!!!!
no seriously, I'm thinking of lez rusame in 1987 los angeles. amelia is a dancer in vegas and she travels to la to audition for acting roles. anya is a bratva leader who married a mob leader in order to have authority within the organization.
they meet at a party in hollywood that gets shot up because they're targeting anya but amelia doesn't know this. anya is the only one that gets severely injured so amelia drives her to the hospital because the cops wouldn't make it on time. she drops her off that the hospital until her family gets there and calls it a day. weeks later, anya looks for her to thank her and ultimately tracks her down in las vegas and things blossom from there.
I'm thinking anya keeps it hidden from amelia on what she really does and tries giving her anything she wants. since she wants to be an actress, she probably ends up pulling strings for her to land a good acting gig.
still working out the kinks but dammit, i need mafia women!!!

so uh...
would y'all read an unnecessarily long one-shot about alfred f. jones retelling his fall off the grand canyon to ivan braginsky that leads to a talk about immortality existentialism?
y'all are funnier than I could ever be!!!!
"guys the meeting is cancelled, we just started the briefing and we can't get alfred and matthew to stop arguing about drake and kendrick"

we made it after 24+ hours on the road [distant sobbing noises]! I've met family members for the first time, had the best seafood of my life, and had some mexican starbucks (minus the lack of ethics)! if you want to try mexican food, if you like shrimp, and you like spicy stuff, please try aguachile.
Since today is clean water day, remember that 1/3 of the Navajo Nation doesn't have access to clean water. I personally have donated, and I encourage anyone else with available funds to do the same.
it's very surreal to see posts about palestine dwindling down after the ceasefire. israel is still blocking aid to and trying to make life difficult for palestinians in gaza. we still have to continue to speak up about gaza.
in this ceasefire, many palestinians are trying to rebuild in attempts to try and return to what they had before the genocide. despite the heavy and unbearable loss of life that gaza has experienced, her people continue to try to make a better world for their children.
alaa is a mother of two young children. she wants to rebuild her house and get a better future for her children. please have heart and consider helping her out. her fundraiser has been verified.
