How some of the kids address and call Yuu
MC: If we die, I’m going to spend the rest of our afterlife reminding you that this was all your fault.
Ace: That’s cool, I wouldn't mind having company as a ghost.
This incarnation of (Y/n) comes from the Age of Calamity after Wild “failed” and died, she was sent off to travel with the Chain as Wild was still in the Shrine of Resurrection. This technically makes Wild the only one of the chain to have not met her, as he had lost all of his memories when he woke up. But, due to this, Hylia never completely rid of (Y/n) in his memories, believing that he would never recall her on his own. Ironically enough, this actually led Wild to being the first of the Chain to remember (Y/n).
She was Zelda’s personal sorceress that worked alongside him when he was the princess’s guard; the two of them were close friends, with (Y/n) often comforting Wild after the moments of when he got yelled at by Zelda. On the other hand, the princess was a bit envious of the sorceress. Zelda wished to have the freedom that the other girl had, visually given the fact that (Y/n) was able to wear pants for convenience sakes, unlike Zelda who had to wear those dresses she despised so much, among other things. Zelda at first tried to befriend her, but (Y/n) simply shied from her and her attempts. (Y/n) mostly wanted to avoid the princess due to her connection to Hylia, but it was also because she was so rude to Link (Wild).
Even though Link (Wild) had lost to Ganon and died, she held no malice towards him (not that she ever would), she actually relates to him because of this failure. In her first life, Link (First) and her had lost the battle against Demise and died after Hylia sent the people of Hyrule into the sky. To her, Wild’s failure somewhat endears him to her, as it lets her see that they—the rest of the Links—are still mortal, still human, and that they make flaws and mistakes. However, looking at this in another light, (Y/n) deeply regrets not being able to save Wild and nor help him. She was doing what she could to help everyone get ready when Ganon had awoken, so she couldn’t find Link (Wild) and Zelda until he was already gone. She ran into the two Sheikah men who were on there way to find Zelda, and joined them in there search.
Despite them being the incarnations of Link (First), (Y/n) knows very well that they are their own people. She may miss First dearly, and may see some similarities between him and the rest of the Links, she knows that they are different people and that they deserve to be treated at proper individuals with their own personalities.
(Of course, with her treating them as proper individuals, this also means that she treats them as Link (each one of them respectively), and not the Hero. And I’m sure you can imagine just how grateful the Chain are about this)
