Let me spell it out : I DESPISE Netflix's Devil May Cry adaptation. I loathe EVERY aspect of it - the butchered characterization, the nonsensical plot, all of it. While some might find it entertaining, to me it's nothing but a self-important, meme-obsessed dumpster fire that cosplays as 'faithful' while gleefully pissing on the original lore. And Shankar's Twitter circus? The final nail in this OOC dumpster fire. Call me oversensitive or overreacting if you want, I don't care. If you want to turn off your brain and enjoy this trainwreck, knock yourself out - just don't police how others analyze this character assassination masquerading as an adaptation.

And to anyone determined to die on this hill defending Netflix's DMC dumpster fire - save your breath. Try to 'well actually 🤓 ☝' me about ~objectivity~ all you want - you're not changing my mind, just earning yourself a VIP pass to to my block list. Debate club's closed here.

I do think it's really impressive how Dante is able to feel like a consistent and well thought out character with a good progression despite how vastly different he can be. From full depression and emo to whacky woohoo pizza man, and none of it really feels that out of place once you've played all the games and experienced some supplemental material. Especially in 4 where you can see him recover his whimsy in real time once he realizes he has a nephew.

I finally finished playing dmc 1 recently and it was amazing ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ despite being a fan for a few years, i never got to play them myself until now, it was on sale so i got to try them. Though my two only issues are the fixed camera angles and THE FUCKING PLATFORMS. Maybe its just a skill issue thing but i suck huge mundus stone balls at it, like to the point i spent the most time on it compared to the other missions. i despise it. (•̀д•́) aside from that, i enjoy the story, resonated with dante and oogling at trish. some of the cutscenes are unintentionally funny and ridiculous, it just adds more charm to the game lol. Overall a fun experience despite the issues i had and oh god i wished they keep the tanned skin on dante cause GAWD DAYUMM he looks so hot (づ˶ˊᗜˋ )づ♡ i also drew a meme inspired from one of the moments in the game cause it was so funny lol
