I do think it's really impressive how Dante is able to feel like a consistent and well thought out character with a good progression despite how vastly different he can be. From full depression and emo to whacky woohoo pizza man, and none of it really feels that out of place once you've played all the games and experienced some supplemental material. Especially in 4 where you can see him recover his whimsy in real time once he realizes he has a nephew.
My favorite part of Trigun (1998) was when Wolfwood said "you've already tried love and peace, Vash... now, it's time to Try Gun." I cried.
Inspired by that one episode in Devil May Cry (2007). Vincent character caught in my attention π Like boi
I'm about to say some insane stuffs

Devil May Cry (2007)

"What Sanctus saw was a young man, not in a fighting stance, just eerily staring at him." - Deadly Fortune, Vol. 1
Nero actually has the most Brooding Love Interest In A YA Romance Novel vibes. he's surly and rude to everyone except his girl, who he idolizes. he's rebellious against your religion/cult, but in a way that manages to channel your god's best traits. he's a bad boy but doesn't smoke or drink or anything, just listens to his music really loud and swears. he keeps running into sexy lady demons but doesn't pay them any attention bc he loves you so much. he's part demon and really angsty about it and needs your tender reassurance.
i know there was a whole pack of highly repressed Fortuna church girls who had massive crushes on Nero, but Nero never realized because he was too in love with Kyrie.

DMCV Dante's hair. It's perfect and I love seeing people draw it because its a neat lil prop to help depict Dante.
It first off gives him a scruffy cool uncle look, which was always Dante's final form.
However, it is also the calculated length to obscure his eyes completely, visually depicting him as closed off or masking his emotions.
AND if you pose Dante at the right angle, with his hair shadowing his eyes and a haunted gaze, you turn Dante into a forlorn wife.
π all very important parts of his character. As an illustration:
[ID: Sketches of DMCV Dante's bust. First has him smiling while sighing. Middle has him staring at the viewer with a sorrowful expression, hair shadowing his eyes. Third has him in shadow, hair hiding his eyes. Above are 2 chibi Dante faces, one with an uwu face and one with shadowed eyes, to exaggerate how Dante's depicted. End ID]
ty for listening. I love this sad clown.
