Idk if anyone else thinks this too but I'm pretty sure that those random ideas you get for your dr aren't actually just random ideas, it's you accidentally channeling your dr self without even knowing you're doing it. that one really specific scenario that randomly popped into your head? That actually happened in your dr and you just remembered it. I have so many scenarios, quotes and little quirks that I scripted about people in my dr but they're so specific and they came to me out of nowhere and I could not have made half of those up by myself
I'm going to try this! I think this would help a lot! Especially with helping with sleep methods and just in general for shifting!

Setting the intention to shift is one of the most widely discussed topics in the shifting community. A lot of shifters (especially on tiktok) will tell you "all you need to shift is intention." One girl literally said, "all you need to shift is intention, and if anyone tells you otherwise, they're lying." Something about that didn't sit right with me and it took me a while to put my finger on why that statement bothered me.
The thing is, first of all, all you need to shift is intention and the right altered state of consciousness that works for you so you can connect to your DR and detach from your CR. But besides that, let's say all you did need to shift was intention. Well then, how do you set that intention? Because there is a right way to set intention and a wrong way.
Setting intention isn't going to sleep half hoping you wake up in your DR. Some people have literally shifted that way, but that doesn't mean that that is how you actually set intention. The key to setting intention is moving a message, desire or want from your conscious mind into your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind makes up about 5% of what we call "the mind". The remaining 95% is your subconscious and unconscious mind. Your subconscious is comprised of everything you've ever seen, heard, tasted, and experienced. Your thoughts, beliefs, values, and habits all stem from the workings of your subconscious mind. That is why "reprogramming your subconscious mind" is a popular topic in the shifting community.
Now, you set intention by ingraining or imprinting your desire into your subconscious mind. Simply having a thought or want in your head does not mean that the intention has been set. And this is where I explain what prospective memory is.
Prospective memory is when you have a "prospect" or something in mind that you want to accomplish later. Maybe you want to remember to buy more toilet paper the next time you drive by target or you need to remember to pick up your sister from her piano recital. You remember to do those tasks in the future because of prospective memory.
When trying to learn how to lucid dream, one of the first concepts you come across is reality checking, which is basically performing an action multiple times throughout the day so that you get used to it and at some point do it in a dream (because it's been ingrained into your subconscious and has become a habit). So if your reality check is counting your fingers, when the action pops up in a dream, you become lucid because in a dream you could have 8 or 4 fingers on one hand and you realize it's a dream!
Let's say you told yourself that whenever you walk into a room or stand up from a seat, you would do a reality check. That is you utilizing your prospective memory. That way, the action shows up in a dream because your subconscious mind "remembered" to do it!
So how does this relate to shifting? Well, a major reason why sleep methods don't work for a lot of people is because (like me) they have weak prospective memory. You could tell me to clap twice in the next 30 seconds and I'll forget. So it's no wonder that I "forget" to shift when I use sleep methods.
You shift with a sleep method when you set the intention to shift (using prospective memory) to your DR and detach from your CR through an altered state of consciousness (in this case, that would be sleep). When you successfully shift using a sleep method, it is because your subconscious "remembered" to do so!
This is also why a lot of people have dreams about their DR. Because the images, people and sensations from their DR have been ingrained in their subconscious mind, so they dream about it! I've literally had dreams where I walked through a portal to try to shift although I wasn't lucid.
So if you want to use sleep methods, (although this is important for any kind of shifting method) I highly recommend working on your prospective memory by giving yourself little tasks to do throughout the day. You could also start doing reality checks, that way, even if you don't shift at least you could have a lucid dream which you could use to shift anyways.
An Example of a Prospective Memory Exercise for Shifting (can also be used for lucid dreaming):
▪️ The next time I walk into the kitchen I will: do a reality check and remind myself to shift to my DR when I go to sleep.
▪️ The next time I turn on a light bulb I will: do a reality check and remind myself to shift to my DR when I go to sleep.
▪️ The next time I pick something up from the floor I will: do a reality check and remind myself to shift to my DR when I go to sleep.
▪️ The next time I flush the toilet I will: do a reality check and remind myself to shift to my DR when I go to sleep.
Try to do each task 3 times each day. Good luck!
WAYS TO FEEL CONNECTED TO YOUR DESIRED REALITY:
1. Try to dress like your desired reality self (through clothing, make-up, hair, ect. If you can't for whatever reason, then wear something that your desired reality self would wear on a lazy day.)
2. Daydream about being in your desired reality, and if you have scripted specific scenes to happen, daydream you are in your desired reality, and that's happening.
3. Have a book that is filled with quotes, poems, drawings, and letters that are dedicated to your desired reality s/o, friends or family members, and/or dedicate it to write everything that the people who are important to you in your desired reality like and dislike, things you've observed about them.
4. Daydream about watching a movie or show with your s/o, friends, and family members while cuddling with them (platonically or romantically) while in your original reality.
5. Listen to music that reminds you of your desired reality, friends, family, s/o.
That's all I can think of for now, but now it's time for you to GO SHIFT!
hi gentle reminder that your dr is yours and you don’t have to listen to anyone else on what is right or wrong for you dr.
however keep in mind your own morals and ethics
Can we bring back love poems and love letters, please? What's wrong with that? I feel like people should bring in that effort to write a poem or a love letter to people who they like, whether it's a platonic, familiar, or romantic like or even one to yourself! If that makes me a hopeless romantic, then so be it, I'm PROUD of it! It doesn't matter how simple or if it seems stupid to you. They will appreciate the effort regardless.
Affirmations I've been using recently:
"I have decided that I'm already in my (desired reality name) desired reality."
"I have decided to shift to my (desired reality nams) desired reality."
"I have become aware of my (desired reality name) desired reality."
"I am (desired reality name)."
You are energy, your soul is energy, your consciousness is energy, and your subconscious is energy. Energy can not be destroyed, and it can't die. You have a vessel, a physical body which can die, but YOU, Your energy, your soul can't truly die. YOU are eternal. Your body isn't.
When someone dies, it can be good to remind yourself that their energy, their soul, and their subconscious/consciousness won't die. Their body will, yes, but the essence of their souls, what makes them who they are won't die. Death is only a transformation. It's not the end.
I think my beliefs that when someone dies, you get to choose where you want to go has helped with that just a little. For examples: If you believe in Norse paganism, you'll be able to live in Valhalla and feast amongst the gods if Odin believes you lived a life worthy of that. If you have a polytheistic belief, you will go to the underworld and get a coin as payment for Charon, who will take you across the river Styx. If you believe in Buddhism or in reincarnation, you'll get reincarnated over and over again until you achieve peace or because you want to experience life again and again. If you're an atheist, then you can live into the void or come back to earth as a spirit if you want to, etc.
Anyhow I hope this has helped someone out, like it has me.
"It felt so good to feel the fresh wind on her face, the soft soil under her feet. She spread her arms and spinned and laughed."
So I have an update for all of you who have followed me or who have just found me now.
I've known about shifting for five to four years, give or take. I've been trying to shift on and off, and only this year have been more determined to do it.
But also, during those years, I've had trouble with my own religious beliefs and continuously switched from one religion to another. But at the start of this year, I started to get interested in Catholicism, but if we're being more honest, I was just more interested in having a relationship with God.
When I was ten, I went to a baptist church, but the pastor didn't like me because I asked questions, but I always found the church calming. Then I told God to prove to me he was real and told him I would then believe in him. He did prove that to me, but even then, I didn't believe in him. Then, six years later, the start of this year, I found him. I found him and was more determined to shift realities than the previous years.
Yesterday night, I was desperate, so I prayed to God, saying that if shifting realities is for me, then let me shift to my 100 desired reality so I can be with John, my John. If shifting realities isn't for me, let me wake up here. I was determined to shift realities, but I woke up here.
I was upset, mourning, defeated, and a bit angry. I had a thought to fight against God and shift anyway, but I didn't. I decided not to.
Because I love Jesus, Jesus is beautiful, loving, pretty, and is the most calming thing I've found in my life. Despite my deep love for John Murphy, despite my care for him. Despite how eager I am to talk to him, get to know him, cheer him up, love him... God and Jesus are worth more to me.
I think John will understand that, even if he's not happy with it. So I'm not trying to shift again. My shifting journey is over, and I'm okay with that.
I do hope one day, I'll shift and see my beloved John. But for now, I won't and I'm okay with that. I really am.
I've developed peace with my past, my physical/emotional/neglectful/sexual trauma. I'm okay with my past and who i am. I just wanted to be loved romantically. That's all I wanted from shifting. But I'll get it someday and despite the long road I think I'll be okay.
