"even the reapers need comfort, now and then. ten thousand years comforting and guiding the dead to and from the planes- it takes a toll on you. for once, it is nice to just let someone else take care of you.. although not all have this luxury available to them. in this way, life and death are lucky. lucky to have each other in this unending task.
life and death are close. theyve worked together for many a millennia, though life, a short while longer. simple servants of greater powers, yet inconceivable forces of nature themselves.. though they dont see themselves this way- they just pursue their purpose, hand in hand, for as long as time requires. they have only each other.. but thats all they need"
week 22! finally managed to do something a little spookier, but it turned out cute somehow- ah well, im still happy with that. life is going okay, im doing lots of sketches, trying to socialize more- its tiring, but rewarding. hope youre having a lovely day! ♡
Unconditonally
week 12 "Even if I was very upset with you, I'd never consider leaving you. I love you unconditionally. You mean far too much for me to jeopardize what we have over anything so small"
did something simpler today.. its been a long week. hope yours has been better than mine, hons.
week 10 "deep in the forests of thiria, exists a towering but soft spoken lady, draped in clothes of moss and leaves. she is the reclusive priestess of the naritune druids, a religion devoted to the forests of thiria. though hundreds of years old, she seems not a day over 25, and bears no age curses, and yet.. perplexingly, she lacks the red hair distinctive of all young thirians. she appears as if she were birthed by the forest itself, with plants and flowers growing in her hair, and her very wings being composed of branches and leaves. she creaks slightly as she walks, and some suspect she is plant all the way through. she very rarely guides or helps her flock directly, opting instead to delegate her wishes through a druidic council, who lead on her behalf. the council delivers her message throughout the forest.. quite literally, tapping into the network of the trees to spread her word far across the valley. she is a kind soul, valuing the happiness of all life, and having immense power in the deepest regions of the forest, but she does not often like to meddle in the lives of mortals, instead preferring mostly to remain in the eternal forest, to comfort and guide her followers who no longer tie into the mortal realm. the naritune druids often follow in her footsteps, albeit to a lesser extent. theyre often more reclusive, and less invested in thirian society, often living in the woods in small independent communes, rather than in the cities and villages of the empire" -the historian, 404sd hi hi! here is week 10! took me close to 5 hours, with 183 unique color values. i think this one turned out very pretty, im happy with it ^^. anyways, thank you for checking out my art! i hope you have a wonderful week ♡
week 7 "an old akulyte walks through the rain, practicing her craft. so many years in darkness and isolation, now ready to return to the light. no longer burdened by expectation, no longer shackled by regret. she singlemindedly pursues her endeavor, and nothing short of divine intervention can stop her now" ahoy hoy! hope you like this week's art :3. im a bit late again.. this one took about 4 hours, i think im getting back into the swing of things! anyways, thank you for checking out my work! i hope you have a lovely week ♡
Masks
week 11, decided to try a 'comic' this week, because people have been asking me to, and i finally had an idea "what i was going to say, before i was interrupted, was.. we need masks because they help us keep our form, and remember who we are! they are our identities, and without them, we wouldnt be us! formless vessels, lost and confused. i apologize, i realize it wouldve been better to explain that before demonstrating.
most cant even remove their masks, nor would you want to- its an intense and unstable state, and even those who can manage it cant do so for more than at most a minute or two, lest they forget themselves. you should ask your grandma if you want to know more, shes better trained with it than i." -ms akuta
thank you for checking out my work! i dont know if this is canon lol, just wanted to tell a story, i guess. hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! ♡
week 12 "her arrival is accompanied by great winds and rain. often preferring to dwell in her domain, she does not visit the mortal realm often.. but, when she does, it is a sight to behold. a tall masked creature bearing angelic wings, a wide brimmed hat, and tall rain boots. she carries the quillstaff, a symbol of guidance and creation, and an ethereal tool for changing the world around her. how she plans to enact this change, is yet to be seen" -the historian hi hi! welcome to week 12! this week's was kinda crazy.. 1800x1500, i usually dont do such a big size! this one took about 6.5 hours, and has 157 unique color values. im pretty proud of it ^^. anyways, thank you for checking out my work! i hope you have a wonderful week ♡
"sou had been wandering the frostburn tundra with their big sister for many years. she had taken care of them as far back as sou can remember- ever since their parents had 'gotten lost'. sou often wonders if theyll ever see them again.. kira is cagey about it, but she takes good care of sou, so they try not to bother her about it often.
the tundra is too cold to travel when the moon is out, so they can only travel during the day, when the cold of the moon is at it's weakest, and during the night, they huddle around a great fire for warmth. true thirian flame does not produce much heat, but its enough to keep a thirian alive in the tundra.. barely.
sou wonders why they dont live at one of the many villages they visit for supplies, but she tells them she doesnt think the tundra is a safe place to live, and she knows somewhere better- somewhere where water flows freely, and foilage grows as tall as buildings! sou dreams of seeing it someday, and cant wait to see it with their big sister"
thank you for checking out my work! this is week 28, i thought id return to some original content, because i wanted to do some writing ^^. hope you guys have a great week! much love <3
jrawly day 4: calm "i encountered another at convergence, today- a very rare sight, these days. its been so long since ive seen another.. long have i forgotten how to interact, so i just watched them. they watched me, too. opposite sides of the divide, not much else we can do.. just out of reach, but.. this is nice. ill have to leave eventually, but im not ready quite yet- i want to enjoy this time we share."
thank you for checking out my work! i appreciate the support~ see you tomorrow! ♡
week 16 "the rivira, decades ago, brought an end to the elemental war, but things have been far from peaceful in the region.. the magic of fire was banned across the realm, the fendites and all fire aligned were forced to submit before rivira rule, in hopes of bringing peace to the region.. but many rebel groups rise up, resisting this control. those who resist the reign, or practice fire magic in secret, often being sent to camps for rehabilitation, and labor. tetsuka was one of many, who refused to give up the fire of her ancestors. she worked in these camps for years, made to break her spirit.. but she trained, and practiced her magic in secret, and after many seasons of planning, she escaped.. she now lives on the land, wanted across the region.. she helps other fire aligned escape, and has become something of a legend, among the rebels.. though the bounty offered for her recapture only grows" -the historian, 582sd hi hi! heres week 16! ouh.. this one took longer than id hoped.. 6 hours, surprisingly only 66 unique colors, 800x1000. id drawn this girl in my sketches, and she inspired me.. wanted to give her a full piece! well, anyways.. thank you for checking out my work! i hope you have a wonderful week c: ♡
"welcome to my stage, little one. i am marissa, a songstress of some renown, though given the sorry state of this place, you may find it hard to believe. huge crowds once flocked to hear me sing, then something changed. the audience, once so enrapt, began to leave. i continued to sing, yet my voice fell silent upon their ears. perhaps youd care to listen to me sing? youll be the first in an age to hear it." -marissa week 35! a day late again, been rough lately, but i made it eventually! thought id draw marissa getting an audience to her song.. think its the least she deserves. im fairly proud of this piece- not my best, but i hope it at least improves your guys' days a little :3. anywhos, thank you for checking out my work! hope you guys have a wonderful week <3
