prompt 8: jockey "happy age day to me! since im pretty alone today, i manifested myself a 'pony'- im calling them birdie. theyre way better than a regular pony.. better eye sight, no need to eat, minor dark magic abilities, and i think they can fly? i assume they cyme from one of the rings near where i grew up.

decided to take them crystal hunting, because its my age day and i like shiny things, and purple- thought the extra sets of eyes would be a good help. gonna be bringing home a hatful" -Akuta

Ribsworth and Cattington! ♡

week 17 "sir ribsworth, one of the finest royal guards in all the land! the king long ago posted him near a small village, to protect it from.. well, he doesnt remember what, but hes done an incredible job! no attacks in over 500 years, and he was only supposed to be there a season or two! talk about going above and beyond.

the townsfolk have also been very busy- so busy, he cant remember the last time hes seen one. he was worried hed have to spend his whole shift alone, but a brave cat cyme out to join him! ribsworth called them cattington, and they becyme fast friends.. cattington would bring him shinies, and ribsworth spent his breaks fashioning some simple armor for them.

he often tells cattington how he looks forward to seeing his princess again- hes sure shes missed him and his wonderful hair. she said she would write him as soon as she found time, so she must be pretty busy too. cattington suggests he write her some letters, to keep her spirits up- ribsworth loves the idea, and they spent their entire break writing updates on all the things that have happened over his shift"

Second Chance ♡

hi! heres week 2, thought id post a ref sheet for one of my favorite characters! hope its up to snuff, i tried to make it look nice. i hope youre having a lovely day! ill see yall next week c: ♡ "Second Chance is a 26yr old rivira (water elemental cat), previously one of the beloved leaders of Kalida, one of the last Rivren cites in Ryokai. He wore a suit of fine fendite cloth, and an aketon cuirass over it.

Hes nearly blind, and very clumsy, but despite his intimidating scars, hes very kind, and devotes his all to his people, vowing to bring them up out of subjugation.

He plays the flute, can bend water, and wanders the Ryokai desert in secret, with his friends. He carries twin daggers, though he isnt any good with them anymore. His main strength in diplomacy and wit.. He seeks allies and lost rivira, so that he may someday bring the water people back to their former glory." Backstory:

"Some found it humorous to see one of the Kalida magistrate in commoner's aketon, but most found the fearful chieftan endearing.. He was humble, never saw himself above anyone. A cat of the people, ready to defend his people from the enemy fire.. personally, if need be.

One day, he proved it, when he went to intercept one of the fire country's caravan's with his platoon.. the same day his worst fears came true, learning it was an ambush. He thought he could at least salvage the mission by checking the caravan's package, only to realize it was a massive pack of explosives. It went off, and he was right next to it.

He was killed instantly, along with a few of his men.. it wouldve been his last mistake, if not for the fact a close friend of his being an enchantress, whom he often vented his fears to. She blessed him to survive one lethal blow.. but itd be at the cost of two of his greatest strengths, being his acuity and perception

He survived, but half his body was badly burned, he was nearly blind and deaf, permanently disoriented, and unconscious.. if not for his cousin and best friend carrying him off the battlefield, he wouldve never woken up. But wake he did.. to the burning of his town.

The caravan had been a distraction, to pull away the most able of the leaders.. they could not get back in time to help. Despair set in for Ponte.. but he had no time to mourn, for the fire country was hot on his tail.. They had divided his group, the only chance that some of them to escape.

Ponte and his best friend were backed into a corner.. his cousin hands him a rare teleportation stone, and tells him to teleport, far away.. he knows he will do more with his life than most. they hug in a tearful embrace as the soldiers close in, and ponte teleports far away.

He wakes outside a village his family had visited when he was small.. vowing to make the most of his second chance, and save his people."

week 44? im a week late, but i might count it if i can catch up.. i dont know at this point. "i stand here at a new peak, and practice my craft.. the rocky waters below threaten its end, should i slip, but i have no fear of such an end.. an end is inevitable in all things, and to let fear ruin something beautiful in the now is a tragedy. to spend every moment in fear or regret is to never live. live beautifully, and passionately! live for those around you, to bring light into their lives. there is no greater purpose.. though, sometimes i wonder, if my work brings light at all, or if i waste my time at the precipice.. i wonder if i ever went back down, if theyd even accept me as i am now. perhaps it better i not worry about these things either."

week 21 "words from the old thief, miska, an old unrepentent bandit in ryokai. most people this age wouldve settled down and retired, but after the crimes of her youth, both fendite and riviren blood stains her hands, so neither side will take her in. she lives in the abandoned tunnels, stealing peoples' supplies" -the historian, 367sd hi hi! sorry this week's isnt too interesting.. just an old art i touched up. ive been too tired for much else. took 3h30m overall, 51 unique colors, 560x700 canvas. regardless, thank you for checking out my work! i hope you have a good week

week 11! "a fire aligned uprising has gathered at a castle of the guiding claws.. but the head councilman has sent their best, his top general.. nova chance. she is infamous for her ruthless efficiency. as a very powerful water bender, a demigod on her mother's side, she may be able to wash a small army away on her own, but it may only spark more uprisings, so she has her father's army stay back, and goes out to meet them alone. she holds a terrifying reputation, and all of the fire aligned know what she would do if they attacked now. she reasons with the uprising, and intimidates them.. she makes concessions, but not many. just enough to get them to back down and disperse.. she wont be so forgiving next time" aa, heres week 11! took about 4 hours, and has 140 unique color values. im sorry its not that great.. my head wasnt in the game ><. anyways, thank you for checking out my art! i hope you have a wonderful week ♡

week 19 "the 402nd year dawns on the valley of thiria.. a land of snowy mountainous forests, as far as the eye can see, with small towns scattered across the land, united under the banner of the thirian empire (mostly). steep mountain peaks surround they valley's border, believed to be impossible to scale.. the thirians call this border 'the impasse', and have no idea what might lie beyond, but popular culture paints it as a 'land of storms', on account of the constant strong winds that blow in from the mountains. in this year, the empire, lead by king thiris, works to reclaim misenheim, a powerful trade city in rebellion. the civil war is at a standstill, now that the lake is uncrossable, and many wonder if the war will ever end.. but many are hopeful that a resolution will be reached soon" -the historian, 402sd hi hi! here is week 19. im not doing so well, so i just touched up some old unposted artwork. took 7 hours, and has only 25 unique colors. thank you for checking out my work, i hope you have a wonderful week! ♡
