the other approached her so softly, that gabriela didn't even realize she was there, until the quiet voice spoke. wiping their eyes, the demon looked over to see nova, someone who had known mariana for a long time. the only response that she could provide was a nod yes, before taking the tissues and rubbing her nose. "thanks, i mean you kinda already know what's wrong but really thank you." it felt calming, to have someone so caring at their side. the distress slowly rolled off their shoulders as they grabbed the water, taking slow sips to steady the nerves.
this was not how gabi wanted nova to see her, but there was no turning back. normally she would fight it, act as if this wasn't happening until the person left. "i'm just terrified for my family. they are in danger because of me. sure i thought that danger was dead, but i should've realized that someone like me, can only be happy for so long." last week, her only worry was the kids moving out of the house. they were all moving on with their lives and she was beyond excited. now, all of that felt so far away and it was all their fault.
What did Nova know about the Lockwood-Chavez family? Truthfully she knew Mariana the longest, ran into the remaining siblings, and that's about it. She also knows that Mariana must have been through it with this mystery kidnapper. Maybe that's why she wanted to compensate with care packages, not that it would make a huge difference. But sometimes everyone needed a pick me up.
Nova paused in her steps noticing someone cry. She made an observation that she looked like Kaya at an angle before shaking her head. The witch gingerly sat down next to her. She took out an unopened water bottle and tissue packet handing it to her.
"You don't have to tell me whats wrong." Nova said softly.
of course, lizzie thought that josie and hope brought her back, the three of them made a promise the night before the merge. to find a way to bring back whomever lost the merge and never stop trying. hope and josie did their best, dove into some terrifying magic in the process, but never managed to find any light at the end of the tunnel. holding her twin tightly, she took in the others smell and touch. something she yearned for since the last time the two held hands and prepared for the worst 3 years ago. shaking her head softly, the siphoner bit her lip as tears welled once again. "no, no we didn't. we tried lizzie, but no spell could bring you back and it broke the two of us."
that was summing it up nicely, she thought as she pulled away and looked into her sisters eyes. "lizzie i am so sorry, i failed you and i'll never forgive myself for it." this should've been a happier reunion, but the last 3 years had been hell for josie. she stopped enjoying things, only talking to people when it was required to then go home, alone. she was a shell of a person and even though their parents tried hard to get her back on track, josie would always find a way to fall off again. "i've honestly been a spinster since that night." she admitted.
hearing her sisters voice, her eyes shot open and the grin spread across her lips. “i mean, you do have a point, it is why you were always the smart one.” she grinned as she watched Josie. a sense of calmness washed over Lizzie. it felt amazing to hold Josie again. pulling back ever so slightly, fingers brushed away her sister tears. “well there is only one lizzie saltzman, so of course it’s really me.” she spoke, eyes examining Josie.
“why are you so shocked I’m here?” a knot forming in her stomach, the realisation that maybe josie and hope didn’t have any part in this. “surely you knew I would be back..”
she didn't want to bother charlie more than she already was, his eyes darted every so often, so she nodded her head and stepped out of his way. "yeah i do, they knew my husband way back when. here i also have a map since you look like you are in a rush." taking the pamphlet out of her back pocket, she handed it over with a smile. gabi knew more about hayley than she did elijah. being a crescent wolf was always big news, even for demons. "if you need any help let me know."
Charlie took the package of blueberries and stuffed them into his backpack. "Thank you," he replied, normally he wouldn't worry about missing an item on the list, but he just hated doing that, especially if it was for his father.
"I just don't like to upset my parents," he replied with a simple shrug as he began to double-check his list. "Yeah, they're my parents. I take it you know them?" Charlie asked, curious to see if the other person was familiar with his family.
He wanted to make sure he had everything his father had requested, even if it meant adding an extra item. Charlie knew how important it was to his parents that he followed their instructions, and he didn't want to disappoint them.
As he finished packing his bag, Charlie gave the other person a polite nod, grateful for their assistance. He was determined to complete his errand for his father, and he was confident that he had everything he needed to do so.
josie had lived her worst fear for three long years. so you'd think there'd be nothing the siphoner couldn't handle. well she wasn't that strong, all her life she'd been overcome with irrational fears. a faint blue light caught her attention, only moments ago she'd been looking for benni and then seconds later fear rose from her stomach. at first, josie wasn't even sure what she was scared of, just hyperaware of the way her chest began to tighten. before she could even pin point the source of the issue, someone ran into her causing her to fall backwards into the ground.
letting out a loud “oph” as she hit the ground, she looked up to see the other begging for her life. getting on her hands she crawled towards the other and did her best to calm them. "hey, it's okay i'm not making you chose anything." if there was something she understood, it was the overbearing fear of destiny.

You have to chose. You have to choose. To be the bringer of Balance, Seventh Daughter.
Nova was shaking in fear. The witch didn't know what to choose. She tried to talk with the delusion of her mind almost pleading.
"That's a fluke! I don't have to choose anything!" Nova said.
You have to chose. You have to choose. To be the bringer of Balance, Seventh Daughter.
Nova gulped before she starting to run as fast as she could. She didn't have to choose if she ran from it right. Nova kept running as the delusion made the path twist and turn. Nova unknowingly collided into something.
The witch looked up with freightened eyes panting.
"Please. I beg of you don't make me choose."

before the blue light could be seen, gabriela felt a shiver run down her spine, causing her mouth to grow dry and her body to tense. the bonfire was dying down, everyone mingling with tired smiles on their faces, it seemed as if the event had actually gone well. until that feeling rose causing, the demon to look for any signs of what might be on the attack. before they could even figure it out, a faint but mesmerizing light caught their eye, filling them with dread.
all that came to mind now, was that her family was danger and they needed gabi to save them. looking around with wide eyes, the demon scanned the gardens for familiar faces. "where the hell are they?" the demon muttered, frantic as horrible scenarios of the people she loved played on a loop in their mind.
hearing faith's voice pulled the siphoner out of her bad mood, a sigh of relief left her lips as she began picking up the papers on the floor. shaking her head with a giggle, josie looked up at her sister with a grin. "you're right this would be ten times worse if these papers were wet." placing what was needed in a folder, she got up and flattened out the edges of her skirt. grabbing the papers in the blondes hand, she tilted her head with a smile. "work was, well it was awful and i didn't sleep last night so i'm on edge, sorry about that."
there’s an ‘oof’ when the two collide, and faith’s attention immediately turns to the paper cup in her hand which she tries to balance out of spilling its content over. thankfully, the misfortune ends with her sister’s flying papers. “could be worse,” faith offers as she kneels down to help pick up some papers with her free hand, “i could’ve spilled your drink all over.” she lets a small laugh out.
the star card // upright: hope, faith, rejuvenation // reversed: faithlessness, discouragement, insecurity
'cause i was never told that i wasn't gonna get, the things i want the most, but people always say, "if it hasn't happened yet then maybe you should go" -- chappell roan california
josie had lost a lot of her faith after the merge, but now that lizzie is back from the dead and hope is talking to her again, it appears there is a rejuvenation on the rise. the siphoner is filled with a type of hope that she thought was long lost. for the first time in a long time, it appears that she is putting her wants first, as she know begins the search for masked woman she met at the masquerade ball.
however, josie is filled with insecurity, something that she desperately is trying to work on, but it does get in the way. for three years, she was faithless, loosing all want to really be a person in the world. something that was met with discouragement after dabbling in black magic in europe.
can josie find herself again?
"i knew it." she smirked, before pulling into the closest spot and parking. getting out, she smiled before giving elena a quick hug. "i can always count on you to be an accomplice." pulling back, gabriela realized that she hadn't stopped for coffee. "i'm just now realizing that i barely drank any today so that means machine coffee." shrugging their shoulders, they began the walk into the hospital, questions spun around gabi's head, unsure of which one to ask the other first.
"i don't think this is the dead getting revenge, i mean a bunch of dead people coming back, that must've been confusing for them, right?" they finally spat out. thankfully, elena was used to the demon's scattered brain. "it seems planned." she admitted before turning to the other. "what are your thoughts?" if there was anyone else gabi trusted in these moments, it was elena and caroline. all of them bonded by making sure that their children were able to just grow up.
After The Faction meeting, Elena drove over the charity hospital immediately. Even though she wasn't working a shift, she was certain she could get access to the bodies, or at least speak with the person performing the autopsies in order to learn more about how they died.
As she stepped out of her car, coffee cup in hand, she spotted Gabi across the parking lot. The two had become fast friends on one of Elena's previous visits, and she was thankful to have another friend now that she lived in town. Especially another friend that would also commit violent crimes for her children.
"If someone was injured, I definitely wouldn't have stopped for coffee," she said, attempting to make light of the situation. "I know the guy who works in the morgue, I think he'll let us take a look, if that's what you're after."
she nodded her head at his statement, it was hard to be okay when people were being murder because they were supernatural. "you're right..." hayley trailed off, trying to think of any good news to tell andrew, but nothing came to mind. she was in the dark as everyone else. "no, honestly i don't have much information right now, but i'm trying to find out more." she knew the risks of having kids, but she also wanted to be a mother.. wanted to change the story, making sure the ending wasn't grim and violent like her past. "have you heard anything? i'll take anything even if it seems small."
" i guess that would depend on your definition of okay . " he sighed . andrew knew that he had the choice of becoming human again , by taking the cure but after the life he lived while he was human he was happy to leave that part of his life behind . yet , the thought of someone hurting his family and him being powerless to do anything about it didn't sit well for the redhead . " any news on what's going on with the killings ? "

GIRLS (2012 - 2017)
"oh i'm fine don't worry about me." she smiled brightly at the other. "i wasn't paying attention, been pretending they are playing much different songs than they are." josie admitted all this easily, something she wasn't able to do often, but with alcohol in her veins and lizzie smiling as she talked with as many people as possible, it was hard to not feel as if in a daze. "you okay? sometimes when i'm not paying attention, i can be like a bull in a china shop."
Maybe it was because he didn't like crowds - the noise affecting him - that or he was just an awkward mess but he found himself fairly uncomfortable in the sea of people. He felt that he stood out, that all eyes were on him, and it was something that hadn't really gone away as he got older. Sighing, he looked for an open corner, not realizing that he was in someone's way until they bumped into him. "Shit," he said as he quickly turned around. "Are you okay?" he asked, gently grabbing her arm so she didn't fall
