But the TRUTH? The socks are being collected by a covert organization known as "The Thread."

The Thread is an underground network of laundry enthusiasts—self-appointed custodians of the global sock economy. They believe that socks are more than just fabric; they are energy conduits that store the residual emotional energy of their owners. A well-worn sock, they argue, is infused with a kind of personal aura, representing the essence of its owner’s daily experiences. In short: socks are more than just clothing—they are SPIRITUAL BATTERIES.

The Thread's goal? To collect enough energy from discarded socks to fuel a GLOBAL SHIFT IN POWER. They have been siphoned off, one by one, into a vast underground warehouse where the accumulated energy is harvested.
