people will buy indian takeaway, fake tan, get lip and cheek filler, put henna on their faces, use human hair wigs, make chicken tikka masala the dish, do YOGA, wear heavy layered gold jewellery, waist chains, HAIR OIL, slick back buns, large gold earrings, the "clean girl" aesthetic, "scandinavian" scarves, chai tea, star signs, the concept of karma, and will still say the most disparaging things about indian + south asian cultures.

i am not south asian but one of my best friends is and hearing all the DISGUSTING things some of the girls at her school say to her, the same girls that do all of the above and i am SICK of it. i don't understand how it is so normalized.
