hi.... I don't know where to start here so I just thought I could give you a little information about me.
I started this blog because I find it hard to motivate myself to study. It's the end of my second semester in college, and it didn't go the way I planned. I read somewhere that romanticizing life doesn't mean push away the ugly parts, but find the beauty in the ugly parts.
I started this blog because I thought it would be a good way to develop aqantiences who are focused on education and hold myself accountable. Besides I thought it would be fun.

Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window.
โ William Faulkner.
Reblog to give the person you reblogged this from motivation to work on their WIPs.
today was my first day of classes, and it went well, my professors seemed cool. unfortunately, I am taking a 8am three-hour math class, and I am already slightly overwhelmed, but while I was in class I had a few post ideas so there is that! i wish I had more to say but I am suffering from food poisoning so I cannot offer much but I promise I will be more succinct in the future! anyway pls interact if you want, tell me how the start of your semester was!

Late diagnosis is realising 90% of the things you were yelled at, bullied, abused, punished, mocked and ridiculed for were actually symptoms or traits of your disability, and neurodivergence.๐ช๐๐.
Republicans deliberately use coded language to trick people to vote for them and radicalize their group. Many don't even realize they're radicalized or what they're saying is even racist. This is why they think the Left is "over reacting" because the either know they're using coded language and don't care, or they don't know anything at all.
study every day ( reread your notes, run through your flashcards)
it helps to avoid cramming around finals season
do assignments when you get them, it doesn't matter that its not due until the end of the semester, you will forget, you will get busy, you will get caught up with doing something else so do it when you get it, so you won't have to worry about it later
don't study in your bed, its a bad habit, it will make it harder to study and make it harder to sleep
go out at least once a month, to a party, to a club, on a late night walk
carry a knife if its legal ( not just for safety reasons)
join class group mes
go to office hours, even if you don't need to, lie and say you didn't understand something so the professor knows your name
its okay to skip a class occasionally, just never two in a row, and don't make it a habit
basially why i haven't been posting
if you can't get rid of it, you might as well romanticise it, right?
lying awake on hot summer nights and listening to a sad girl playlist
sitting by the ocean or lake while looking melancholic
collecting sea shells and other little trinkets to look at
reading ancient philosophy and russian literature in public
strolling around your neighbourhood and befriending stray cats
eating way too much fruit
thinking about the fig tree
watching the moon and staying up until sunrise
mourning your non-existent summer romance
wired headphones
getting really good at making iced coffees
watching sad summer movies
writing poetry on postcards that you will never send
taking lots of Polaroids of mundane things
crying
I myself have been dealing with what I like to call "the summer blues" so I felt like writing something like this, I hope it resonates with some of you!! As always, please feel free to share your own suggestions and tips in the comments! <3
