Before the Anger- episode 35, "...No. (pt. 2)"
((Elaine had a stupid look on her face; brow furrowed, eyes wide. She had never been asked that before. Elaine inhaled, fixed her face, and looked Undyne right in the eye, “Elaine. I want to be called Elaine.”))

Welcome to "Before the Anger"!
This is a prequel to my old Undertale AU, UnderAnger, taking place in 1994. "Before the Anger" stars Alphys, our socially inept pacifist living in a genocidal world, when she is first hired as a royal scientist. As we follow her ridiculous antics, the past slowly unravels: the secret to why magic has faded, why the underground has truly adopted "kill or be killed", and... Siqua and Gaster's disappearance
Siqua is an OC of mine, she is Undyne's mother and the main love interest. Although the tone is lighthearted, don't let it fool you. Things get pretty dark :)
I mainly post on Webtoon, and the first 40~ episodes were already posted on Webtoon. Therefore, these are technically archives. This is the first episode from july, so the art is... Just passable.
Before the Anger- episode 1, "D-Dr. Siqua!"
Until I catch up to where I am on Webtoon I'll be posting these often without a schedule. Once I catch up, I'll post them synonymous (every Thursday)

Binge version (WEBTOON)
UnderAnger (WARNING: for mature audiences (gore, mature themes), it's unfinished, some details are uncannon, and... It's on Wattpad sorry I promise it's not creepy)
I made that drawing of Sans, Papyrus, and Undyne as kids, so I decided I'd give Gaster and Siqua the same treatment!
Its just little digital sketches. I first started this page thinking it was just gonna be hand doodles, so Gaster is signing "red" (very dramatically) but then I got carried away with drawing the kiddies...
Gaster seems pretty standoffish even as a kid.
Not sure what magic I'd give Siqua. I just made it vaguely watery-looking. It doesn't matter much, her magic can be up to interpretation! She never really used it anyway.
Baby Alphys has shown up before in the comic... But now she's accompanied by someone.
Before the Anger- episode 37, "The 'Complicated' History"
I love this episode! All the little details make my nerd heart happy. This episode has set the most timeline out of all the others so far!
((Elaine and Papyrus had gotten to know each other. Months had passed. They were close, like an older, responsible brother and a found sister. Papyrus wasn’t what Elaine had expected. He didn’t try to be a “father figure”, but his presence brought the same comforting energy anyway. But there was one question Elaine had: why would Papyrus quit being a royal guard?))
Uh oh! Some spoilers for Papyrus's future?

Dude every time I see a drawing for my story im like "man I wanna draw something like that" so uh... If you see me post art of a water scene, this is probably why lol
And yes, Undyne is very underrated. One of my main points of both UA and BTA is to focus on the more neglected characters of the fandom. Like, Alphys is one of the coolest characters in my opinion, since she has soo much untapped potential, AND tons of her lore is referenced to in undertale, but nobody finds it interesting enough to make a story out of it? lamee. Also, a final boss Alphys (in genocide of course) would be so dope. My headcanon is that she would use machines instead of magic. Am I getting off topic?
A dramatic brawl in water fall
Been wanting to draw Papyrus and Undyne together for a bit, and now I have! Also some posing and water practice! (It also gave me excuse to mess with the lighting in a nice way hehe)
BTA like always, has always been by @bri-jo-g
Dude when I edit that part of UA, its gonna get worse 😅 I LOVE the disoriented look of this!!! Nimiee looks actually chilling!
I like how Flowey has his mystery.
(Im almost done editing chapter 13 yall!!)
“How many days has it been? Years?”
Decided to draw with the air brush, I can always get a very disturbing feeling while drawing that. Like, I always just use that brush for creepy related art.
Side Stories:
What are ((side stories))? They are short, written texts at the end of Before the Anger episodes to give us more information/ enhance the storyline. They give us narratives from the past, future, or just general stories that wouldn't fit in the main storyline. The ((side stories)) often stretch over the span of many episodes before they resolve.
((The Monster with No Name))
((She had no Appetite.))
Before the Anger- episode 22, "Picnic Party (pt. 5)"
((Elaine was nothing but a small, barely-teenage girl when she stormed to Undyne's doorstep in search of refuge. She knocked at the door with the tips of her feet and waited for a response. She waited all night.))

Before the Anger- episode 36, "Apologies."
I didn't mean to give Gaster sass in his final panel. Please. Don't be like my friend and thirst over him. I deeply regret and apologize for what I've done.
((--So she was. All through the process of being assigned the caretaker, people looked right at her and called her “Elaine.” She’d never felt such a feeling before. All the way to Papyrus’s house, hearing the door open, seeing his face; he smiled and said, “Elaine, it’s nice to meet you!”))
Hey Papyrus is in this side story! He's my favorite

Before the Anger, episode 7- "Bring-Your-Kid-to-Work Day"
Note- sorry for not posting yesterday!! I think I'll double upload today to balance it out. In this ep we meet Undyne (who is still pretty radioactive but i fix her colors later in the series) and enter a new room: the judgement hall.
Character designs at this early in the comic are pretty inconsistent, but I'm getting the hang of it now. I might post their character sheets later.
