cute!
I've been reading Tim's comics
i have been trying to find the fanfiction that inspired this page, but i cannot for the life of me remember anything about it, sigh sigh, so i guess none of us will have any context for this and we can all just use our imaginations today:/
Edit!: loosely inspired by calumma —cassiopeia721 — chapter 8: Collision
((also looking at this now i realised i never finished rendering it, but this is from a while ago and i wanted to post))
I love the trope where Tim jump scares people by reminding them he’s Janet Drake’s son.
It’s 2022, DC, let them bond 😭
Sketch page of the Young Justice core four!
I numbered them in the order I did them in, which gives a very clear indication for when I switched my style.
Rant under cut :)
This would have been done like four or five days ago but I cannot for the life of me draw a fucking running pose holy shit. like the mean for time taken for each drawing would have been maybe 30 minutes, but no 6 was a BITCH and took me maybe five hours alone, but tbf, half of that was spent lamenting.
Btw these aren't, like, the full sketches, after 6 I started to draw the silhouettes of the poses first and then went over it in red. Also, references used for 1,3, and 9. Why didn't I use a reference for number 6 if it was so hard? I gave up. I still think it should have been pushed more but eh.
Posting will probably be slow until maybe October, because I just got into university, for an art course, which is pretty neat ngl. so yippee or whatever.
The sketches of Bart are my favourite and that upsets me. not because I don't like him but because the poses took me so long. He does, however, get the privelige of colour, mostly because he looked super empty without it. I tried giving the others their red as well, but it was too much and Tim looked like Dick, so....
I'm not really a fan of these in general, but I'm posting them anyway, because eventually I get to see progress. much happier with the style I used for the last 4 (sorry Kon), but they don't exactly look young, more like late-ish teenagers.
I'm pretty happy with the one character interaction that I forced myself to do, though, so that's nice, even if they're not really doing anything.
I think I messed up Cassie's outfit by accidentally combining two of them, so oops.
Shoes still suck. I hate them.
Theres a lot to tag now holy shit-
Tim drake outed as #1 nightwing fan
Text transcript:
Bart: Hey, Kon, doesn’t that guy remind you of Robin?
Kon: No way! Robin would never do something as geeky as wearing superhero merch! And aren’t him and Nightwing like siblings anyways?
Writing Drawing
Enjoy this meme I made instead of writing
Have you seen that one episode of TTG…? yeah this is that!
This is old art, but i have a problem with finishing anything, ever, so honestly unless anything i post is particularly popular and i feel motivated to finish it,,, shrug.
I was going to come back to this before posting it, but the more i looked at it, the more i found i needed to fix, and i get bored redoing stuff all the time :/ but i was really proud of this when i did it, and past me would want present me to post it probably.
(But people supporting my blog is a big motivator — it feels like i’m creating with purpose! So i appreciate any and all interaction)
Also i know this is not tim drake or yj related but idk, it’s close enough
this is from a while ago but in honour of deadpool's recent resurgence, i am once again thinking about spider-man/deadpool and the movie potential just goes so crazy
headcannon — that when wade was younger he hated having his photo taken and now he regrets looking miserable in every single one
I saw a thing about Tim making a game out of the number of people who want to kill him and I just-
Imagine
The core 4 have a tally board. It's stuck to the wall in the kitchen. The board is separated into 8 sections with their names each on it twice. They're playing 2 games at the moment.
In the first game they mark a tally under their name for every person who either wants to kill them, or wishes extreme ill will upon them. Tim's section has significantly more tally marks than the others, having inherited most of Batman and Nightwing's previous enemies when he took up the mantel. Though over the years the other three have gained their fair share of enemies too. Their tally counts were nothing to scoff at.
The second game they were playing was counting the murder/assassination attempts against them individually. Again, Tim's count was significantly higher because Gotham.
(There is a smaller tally board in the common room keeping track of their collective near death experiences.)
This is a perfectly normal game to them, they'd been playing it for years! However, after surviving an assassination attempt on an independent mission they realize it is perhaps not normal behavior to celebrate the attempt, by screeching "this murder tally's gonna put me in the lead!" and immediately calling whoever's at base so they could add it to the board.
They originally turned it into a game because laughing about it made it less scary, they were so young.
chill and laidback dude who is very normal about 1998 young justice core four & friends (guys i'm funny and talented and modest i swear) (plz check out my art luv u lots)
