I struggle with being socially anxious, shy and somewhat awkward and i've been told multiple times the first impression people get of me is being cold or mean eventho i'm not a rude person at all. I don't want to give that impression and i've been trying to be more chatty and extroverted. What can I do to come accross more kind and gentle? That's honestly the type of energy I want to have. I envy people with such inviting aura and vibes about them which I don't seem to have.
Itβs okay to be reserved, but you should still work on your social skills.
Your facial expressions are important. When people say to smile more often, they donβt mean to stay like ππ but more like π. Think of nice or funny things to keep a sweet expression on your face. Smile from your eyes. βSmileβ
Body language is everything. If you cross your arms often for instance, it can be seen as you being closed off and cold. Have open body language. Avoid being a wall flower and hiding in corners.
How are you with small talk? Brush up on social scripts, thatβs all it is really is. Say hi to strangers when you pass by (use discernment)
Use eye contact and good posture. Donβt hang your head.
Try to get rid of your paranoia. Being self conscious is what tends to kill charisma.
Stay off of your phone, instead people watch or look at the scenery.

may these memories break our fall
Itβs always been my dream to be viewed as a living goddess. When anyone encounters me, I want them to feel as though they have just come in contact with an ethereal being. Someone who is so uniquely feminine, elegant, skillful, kind, elegant, and charming. I want them to be captivated by my beauty and enraptured by my intellect. There is no spell that can accomplish this. Only dedicated and precise hard work. You have to be dedicated. You have to show up for yourself every day, even when youβre tired. Even when youβre sad. Even when you feel totally uninspired. Put in the work for what you want. Here is your guide.
ππππππ
Start the day off by thanking God for all of your blessings that are tangible and intangible. Starting the day off with a grateful heart is step 1 to having a great day!
Literally, stay prayed up in everything you do. If something feels wrong (or even if something feels right) consult with God about it. Let Him be the governing force in your life. Lean more on his word than your own understanding. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Read your Bible every day. Utilize the guidebook that helps you read the whole bible in one year. Utilize the S.O.A.P method to study and get a firm understanding of what God says and what he expects of us.
Read Christian literature by reputable authors. Books that will help you strengthen your faith, become a woman of God, who is secure in her faith and in herself. Books that will help you become a better servant and a kinder person. (For example: The Esther Anointing by Michelle McClain-Walters)
Supplement some of the entertainment you indulge in now with Christian music and podcasts (from reputable creators)
Attend church every Sunday and once schedule allows, attend Tuesday young adult ministry
Serve in the church in some capacity. Preferably in youth ministry, but wherever the help is needed.
Have a prayer networkβ friends who can call on one another whenever they need prayer (Matthew 18:20)
I have to be alone very often. Iβd be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. Thatβs how I refuel.

βOne day it just clicksβ¦ You realise what is important and what isnβt, you learn to care less about what other people think of you and care more about what you think of yourself. You realise how far you have come and you remember thinking that things were such a mess theyβd never recover and then you smile. You smile because youβre truly proud of the person you have fought to become.β

I wish everyone would admit that classic literature is inherently difficult to read, and that you shouldnβt feel stupid if you donβt βget itβ. Especially the dark academia/ classic lit fandoms and stuff. Like unless you have the vocabulary and pop culture knowledge of an 18th century nobleman, itβs going to be a tough read. Itβll take you longer to read; youβre not stupid if youβve spent several months on a single book! And you donβt have to enjoy everything. Itβs okay if you got bored after one chapter of Wuthering Heights, and couldnβt be bothered to read the rest. Itβs okay if you want to read your favourite kids book for the 10th time instead. Youβre not stupid. No piece of literature is inherently better, more βimportantβ, more βmeaningfulβ, or more βintellectualβ than another. First and foremost, read what brings you joy.
I am desperately romantic when life has given me no reason to be and that, I think, is the definition of hope.

Ways to deal with anxiety or panic/anxiety attacks a guide by yours truly, Kleo
Breathing
This may sound weird but proper breathing can be super helpful. Sometimes we aren't breathing the way we are supposed to due to anxiety.
you can focus on whichever gif feels right for you :)
2. The grounding method
This is what usually helps with panic attacks but can also help with anxiety attacks :)
take a deep breath and look around the place you're in.
Then either write, say it aloud or just in your head
5 things you can see
4 things you can feel/touch
3 things you can hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
It helps distract your brain but if it doesn't work try playing a game or talk with your friends/family
3. Safe place (it would help if you had someone read it to you the 1st time or put it on google translate and it can say it to you)
If you're home lay down on your bed, if you're somewhere else sit comfortably on chair and close your eyes. Imagine you're not here anymore, you're somewhere where you feel safe and secure. What do you see? There are animals around, they love you and they care about you, you mean a lot to them. What kind of animals are around? There is a form of water there. What form is it? You're at peace there, nothing can hurt you. You feel happier. Someone says hello. Who is it? The wind is calming and sweet. Your favourite smell lingers in the air and you know that you will be okay. Stay there as long as you need.

I hope this helps :) drink water and stay safe everyone ily<33
