My SO is stuck in a house with her creepy mom’s boyfriend. He’s peeked on her in the shower and that was the last straw for her. He’s done other things but nothing as bold and disgusting as this. Now she’s trying to get out ASAP but she doesn’t have enough for the deposit in the new place. I sent as much as I could but I’m scared that she’ll end up stuck with this creep. This is such bullshit. Why do sick fucks like this exist? Why does rent cost so much in certain states that the deposit is so expensive? I want her to move in here already but it’s just not realistic with her work life yet. So so sick of this.
Update: she moved out
I’m writing my first fully sad ending soon. No character revivals, no second chances, nothing. It’s the end of the series too. We’ll see how it lands
you can pry happy endings from my cold-dead hands. It can be the most heart stopping, gut wrenching fic that has every existed and I will read every drop of it if I get my happy ending. I have had enough painful endings in real life, give me happy in my fantasy world. It can be at the last second, it can be a single sentence, even a single word. Give me all the angst and hurt in the world for 500,000 words, but please give me the comfort I need in the ending. please and thank you.
For later
**Using the word ‘said’ is absolutely not a bad choice, and in fact, you will want to use it for at least 40% of all your dialogue tags. Using other words can be great, especially for description and showing emotion, but used in excess can take away or distract from the story.

Certain delis will sell prepared food covered by EBT but it’ll be cold. Just refrigerated to the point that you can’t eat it outright. Like a pre cooked spaghetti dinner with sauce on it. Hard potatoes wedges with chicken strips. Some of the EBT conditions seem spiteful. Unless you have an oven or microwave it’s not a good value. (WIC restrictions also seem weird too. But that’s another conversation. )

Rant related to Doctor who
I actually miss Peter Capaldi. He immediately got backlash from the chronically online tourist fans for “being old”. But it’s the doctor. He’s already old. If anything him not hiding behind a young face anymore was some serious series character development.
Him regenerating into a young lady and then a young man afterwards seemed to be going backwards on this journey.
We still could have had a black doctor and a lady doctor but did they have to be young? I don’t think so. Yes I understand acting talent and all that but I’m sure they could have found someone.
People are obsessed with not aging and trying to stay perpetually young. If anything the doctor deciding to stop hiding from his age would be a defining character moment. Yes yes I understand “sexy doctor moment” and all that. But some of the sexiest moments from the doctor is when he’s showing off his empathy and thinking on his feet intelligence.
Doctor who tourists are usually drawn to stay longer than a regeneration with these moments.
But most important of all:
(Why is no one addressing the weird optical illusion that happened in the 14th doctor’s second picture. I’m so serious.)
Tumblr
Funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet this month.
Saw a post on IG reels recently that said “what to do when narcissistic people attack!” And the comments were just a fucking mess. Apparently anyone who has slightly criticized you is a narcissistic person. 🤔 Also anyone who has narcissism that is trying to critique your art is just trying to manipulate you. 🤔 like huh?!
>"cluster b demonization isn't real! you're just making that up because you're attention seeking and wanna be a victim!!!"
>open internet browser
>"how to defeat narcissists" article is on the front page in the health tab
It’s very unfortunate that there’s a section of the internet that believe this behavior is normal and justified. No matter what you do you’re beholden to a permanent unpayable penance to them. It’s a disgusting thing to do and expect of another person.
One part of being subjected to long term online harassment is that your abusers expect you to conduct yourself with some sort of higher honor, like a social media varian of "You go high, we go low."
"You can't copyright strike videos that steal from you to profit off you!"
"You can't mass flag harassment!"
"You can't call your stalkers horrible names!"
But like... why?
Why shouldn't I do all of that? You're going to act like I'm a monster and subject me to horrible abuse no matter what I do. You will literally never stop. You're already lying about me and you expect me to believe that I have the power to make you stop by capitulating to your demands? I could be on my best behaviour for the next 20 years and you'll still be doing this shit.
So what reason do I or anyone else have to not do all of those things?
